The article is devoted to the element composition of the human body ash residue of some Russian cities. It presents the element composition of the human body ash residue, the distribution of elements in the ash residue depending on age and sex. The specific elements of different cities, showing the possible influence of the environmental conditions on the element composition of the human body ash residue. The main objective of this paper is to study the element composition of the human body ash residue and determine the regional characteristics. The methods of instrumental neutron activation analysis and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry were applied, an electronic microscope being used as a tool. The result of the research is 63 elements identified within in the human body ash residue. The issue is topical as it expands the knowledge of rare and radioactive elements within the human body and contributes to medicine, for example, by identifying the chemical elements to be included in a person's diet.  相似文献

应用原子发射光谱法(AES)对胃癌组和对照人体头发进行分析,测定镁、阵、铁、铜、奶元素的含量,获得了比较满意的结果。经过比较发现胃癌组头发中锌显著低于正常组、银、铁高于正常组,并首次提出悲和需元素银在人体中所起的作用。  相似文献

Although the metal content of the human body is only about 3%, metals are very important for human lives. Diseases occur when an excess or deficiency of in-vivo metals appear, when other metal pollutants enter the body, or when poisons or viruses enter into the metal ligand competition. Cancer is caused by carcinogens, which are substances capable of producing tumors in any test species at any dose level. This paper discusses the determination of some elements in diseased tissues of the human brain. As the elements present are mostly at micro- or nano-gram levels, the very sensitive technique of neutron activation analysis involving radiochemical separation has been employed. Substocihiometric estimations were carried out wherever possible. The radiochemical separation procedure includes a solvent extraction and precipitation technique. The elements estimated in the tissue samples are Cu, Au, As, Se, Hg, Co, Zn, Ca, Fe, P, Cr, Na, and K. The accuracy, precision, and radiochemical purity of the method have been discussed. Summary Several trace elements are toxic when present in excessive amounts. Such overloads occur most commonly in the occupational setting, although some environmental exposures are also of concern. The relationship between chronic exposure and health effects is best explored with the aid of knowledge of the quantity of element in question stored in the body. In vivo elemental analysis can provide this knowledge non-invasively for a number of elements of toxicological importance. In vivo analysis presents specific challenges, particularly the fact that the body is an extended medium, giving rise to extensive scattering and absorption. Also of primary importance, the radiation dose must be kept as low as reasonably possible and must in every case be within the range of other diagnostic procedures. Both the incident radiation and the detected signal must have an adequate mean free path in human tissue. This means that neutron activation analysis (NAA) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) are the two most studied techniques. For some elements, analytical methods are established while others are under active development. For still others, no promising technique is currently available. The most fully developed techniques are for lead and cadmium. For lead three different XRF approaches have been put forward, although one, 109Cd excited K XRF is most widely used. For cadmium, both prompt gamma NAA and XRF have been developed to the extent of full human studies. Amongst elements for which application to human studies has begun or is likely to begin shortly are aluminum and manganese, both using NAA.  相似文献

Although their contents in the human body are extremely low, even less than 0.01 wt%, trace elements are essential for the human body. As a kind of trace element, zinc plays an important role in human growth and development, reproductive inheritance, immunity, endocrine and other important physiological processes. At the same time, zinc deficiency is also a common phenomenon among Chinese children. 首次报道广东海康金星农场栽培的21种桉叶的微量元素含量和测定方法。结果认为:桉叶中含有Zn、Cu、Fe、Ca、Mn、Mg等人体必需的微量元素,其中Fe和Mn的含0量比其它微量元素高出3~4个热量级,而Fe和Mn是人体需要的微量元素,桉叶是富Fe、Mn的植物资源,它作为中药和动物鰕料添加剂是适合的。  相似文献
