Using the F-expansion method, we systematically present exact solutions of the generalized nonlinear nonlinear Schrödinger equation with varying intermodal dispersion and nonlinear gain or loss. This approach allows us to obtain large variety of solutions in terms of Jacobi-elliptical and Weierstrass-elliptical functions. The chirped and unchirped spatiotemporal soliton solutions and trigonometric-function solutions have been also obtained as limiting cases. The dynamics of these spatiotemporal soliton is discussed in context of optical fiber communication. To visualize the propagation characteristics of chirp and unchirped dark-bright soliton solutions, few numerical simulations are given. It is found that wave profile of solitons depend on the group velocity dispersion and the gain or loss functions.  相似文献

With the help of the homogeneous balance method, the Jacobi elliptic expansion method and the auxiliary equation method, the first elliptic function equation is used to obtain the Jacobi doubly periodic wave solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional B-type Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (BKP) equation and the generalized Klein-Gordon equation. The method is also valid for other (1+1)-dimensional and higher dimensional systems.  相似文献

An approximate homotopy direct reduction method is proposed and applied to two perturbed modified Korteweg- de Vries (mKdV) equations with fourth-order dispersion and second-order dissipation. The similarity reduction equations are derived to arbitrary orders. The method is valid not only for single soliton solutions but also for the Painlevd Ⅱ waves and periodic waves expressed by Jacobi elliptic functions for both fourth-order dispersion and second-order dissipation. We analyze the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the half-line using the Fokas method. Assuming that the solution q(x,t) exists, we show that it can be represented in terms of the solution of a matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem formulated in the plane of the complex spectral parameter ζ. The jump matrix has explicit x,t dependence and is given in terms of the spectral functions a(ζ), b(ζ) (obtained from the initial data q0(x)=q(x,0)) as well as A(ζ), B(ζ) (obtained from the boundary values g0(t)=q(0,t) and g1(t)=qx(0,t)). The spectral functions are not independent, but related by a compatibility condition, the so-called global relation. Given initial and boundary values {q0(x),g0(t),g1(t)} such that there exist spectral functions satisfying the global relation, we show that the function q(x,t) defined by the above Riemann-Hilbert problem exists globally and solves the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with the prescribed initial and boundary values.  相似文献

It is shown that the Kronecker product can be applied to construct a new integrable coupling system of discrete soliton equation hierarchy in this Letter. A direct application to the generalized Toda lattice spectral problem leads to a novel integrable coupling system. It is also indicated that the study of integrable couplings by using of the Kronecker product is an efficient and straightforward method.  相似文献

We concentrate on finding exact solutions for a generalized variable-coefficient Korteweg-de Vries equation of physically significance. The analytic N-soliton solution in Wronskian form for such a model is postulated and verified by direct substituting the solution into the bilinear form by virtue of the Wronskian technique. Additionally, the bilinear auto-Backlund transformation between the ( N - 1)- and N-soliton solutions is verified.  相似文献

We study the Whitham equations for the Camassa-Holm equation. The equations are neither strictly hyperbolic nor genuinely nonlinear. We are interested in the initial value problem of the Whitham equations. When the initial values are given by a step function, the Whitham solution is self-similar. When the initial values are given by a smooth function, the Whitham solution exists within a cusp in the x-t plane. On the boundary of the cusp, the Whitham solution matches the Burgers solution, which exists outside the cusp.  相似文献

In [W.X. Ma, J. Phys. A: Math. Theor. 40 (2007) 15055], Prof. Ma gave a beautiful result (a discrete variational identity). In this Letter, based on a discrete block matrix spectral problem, a new hierarchy of Lax integrable lattice equations with four potentials is derived. By using of the discrete variational identity, we obtain Hamiltonian structure of the discrete soliton equation hierarchy. Finally, an integrable coupling system of the soliton equation hierarchy and its Hamiltonian structure are obtained through the discrete variational identity.  相似文献

In this Letter, the Darboux transformation for the non-isospectral AKNS hierarchy is constructed. We show that the Darboux transformation for the non-isospectral AKNS hierarchy is not an auto-Bäcklund transformation, because the integral constants of the hierarchy will be changed after the transformation. The transform rule of the integral constants will be also derived. By this means, the soliton solutions of the nonlinear equations derived by the non-isospectral AKNS hierarchy can be found.  相似文献

It is shown that the resonant Davey-Stewartson (RDS) system can pass the Painlev test. By truncating the Laurent series to a constant level term, a dependent variable transformation is naturally derived, which leads to the bilinear forms of the RDS system. From the bilinear equations, through making suitable assumptions, some new soliton solutions are obtained. Some representative profiles of the solitary waves are graphically displayed including the two-line soliton solution, “Y” soliton solution, “V” soliton solution, solitoff, etc. The solutions might be useful to describe the nonlinear phenomena in Madelung fluids, capillarity fluids, and so on.  相似文献

In this Letter, we consider the derivatives and integrals of fractional order and present a class of the integrable coupling system of the fractional order soliton equations. The fractional order coupled Boussinesq and KdV equations are the special cases of this class. Furthermore, the fractional AKNS soliton equation hierarchy is obtained.  相似文献
