We investigate the dynamics of the test particle in the gravitational field with magnetic dipoles in thispaper. At first we study the gravitational potential by numerical simulations. We find, for appropriate parameters, thatthere are two different cases in the potential curve, one of which is the one-well case with a stable critical point, and theother is the three-well case with three stable critical points and two unstable ones. As a consequence, the chaotic motionwill rise. By performing the evolution of the orbits of the test particle in the phase space, we find that the orbits of thetest particle randomly oscillate without any periods, even sensitively depending on the initial conditions and parameters.chaotic motion of the test particle in the field with magnetic dipoles becomes even obvious as the value of the magneticdipoles increases.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the dynamics of a test particle in the gravitational field with a quadrupole. By constructing Poincaré sections for different values of the parameters and initial conditions, we find a chaotic evolution. From these Poincaré sections, we further confirm that the chaotic evolution of the test particle originates from the quadrupole.  相似文献

The Hénon–Heiles potential was first proposed as a simplified version of the gravitational potential experimented by a star in the presence of a galactic center. Currently, this system is considered a paradigm in dynamical systems because despite its simplicity exhibits a very complex dynamical behavior. In the present paper, we perform a series expansion up to the fifth-order of a potential with axial and reflection symmetries, which after some transformations, leads to a generalized Hénon–Heiles potential. Such new system is analyzed qualitatively in both regimes of bounded and unbounded motion via the Poincaré sections method and plotting the exit basins. On the other hand, the quantitative analysis is performed through the Lyapunov exponents and the basin entropy, respectively. We find that in both regimes the chaoticity of the system decreases as long as the test particle energy gets far from the critical energy. Additionally, we may conclude that despite the inclusion of higher order terms in the series expansion, the new system shows wider zones of regularity (islands) than the ones present in the Hénon–Heiles system.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the qualitative behaviour of satellite systems using bifurcation diagrams, Poincaré section, Lyapunov exponents, dissipation, equilibrium points, Kaplan–Yorke dimension etc. Bifurcation diagrams with respect to the known parameters of satellite systems are analysed. Poincaré sections with different sowing axes of the satellite are drawn. Eigenvalues of Jacobian matrices for the satellite system at different equilibrium points are calculated to justify the unstable regions. Lyapunov exponents are estimated. From these studies, chaos in satellite system has been established. Solution of equations of motion of the satellite system are drawn in the form of three-dimensional, two-dimensional and time series phase portraits. Phase portraits and time series display the chaotic nature of the considered system.  相似文献

The dynamics character of a two degree-of-freedom aeroelastic airfoil with combined freeplay and cubic stiffness nonlinearities in pitch submitted to supersonic and hypersonic flow has been gaining significant attention. The Poincaré mapping method and Floquet theory are adopted to analyse the limit cycle oscillation flutter and chaotic motion of this system. The result shows that the limit cycle oscillation flutter can be accurately predicted by the Floquet multiplier. The phase trajectories of both the pitch and plunge motion are obtained and the results show that the plunge motion is much more complex than the pitch motion. It is also proved that initial conditions have important influences on the dynamics character of the airfoil system. In a certain range of airspeed and with the same system parameters, the stable limit cycle oscillation, chaotic and multi-periodic motions can be detected under different initial conditions. The figure of the Poincaré section also approves the previous conclusion.  相似文献

In this paper we consider two coupled scalar fields during the inflation as a dynamical system. With the Poincaré section method, we investigate the evolution of the coupled scalar fields system. We find that the evolution of the system changes from a regular motion into a chaotic motion when the energy density and the coupling constant of the system increase.  相似文献

Integrability in the Painlevé sense of the trapped ionic system in the quadrupole field with superpositions of rotationally symmetric hexapole and octopole fields is studied. Five integrable cases of the system are reported. First Integrals of the planar motion are founded. Confirming three-dimensional integrability of the equations of motion, the third explicit integrals of motion are constructed directly for each case. We carried out a numerical study to observe the regularity and chaotic regions via the Poincaré surface of sections, and corroborate the analytical results.  相似文献

The nonlinear dynamic modes of a chain of coupled spherical bodies having dipole magnetic moments that are excited by a homogeneous ac magnetic field are studied using numerical analysis. Bifurcation diagrams are constructed and used to find conditions for the presence of several types of regular, chaotic, and quasi-periodic oscillations. The effect of the coupling of dipoles on the excited dynamics of the system is revealed. The specific features of the Poincaré time sections are considered for the cases of synchronous chaos with antiphase synchronization and asynchronous chaos. The spectrum of Lyapunov exponents is calculated for the dynamic modes of an individual dipole.  相似文献

建立了振动筛系统的动力学模型,推导出了其周期运动的Poincaré 映射,基于Poincaré 映射方法着重研究了系统Flip-Hopf-Hopf余维三分岔、三次强共振条件下的Hopf-Hopf余维三分岔以及三种非常规的混沌演化过程.研究结果表明,此两类余维三分岔点附近的动力学行为变得更加复杂和新颖,在分岔点附近出现了三角形吸引子、3T2环面分岔以及“五角星型”、“轮胎型”概周期吸引子,揭示了环面爆破、环面倍化以及T2环面分岔向混沌演化的过程,这些结果对于振动筛系统的动力学优化设计提供了理论参考. 关键词: 余维三分岔 非常规混沌演化 T2环面分岔')" href="#">T2环面分岔  相似文献

The chaotic dynamics of a Josephson junction with a ratchet potential and current-modulating damping are studied. Under the first-order approximation, we construct the general solution of the first-order equation whose boundedness condition contains the famous Melnikov chaotic criterion. Based on the general solution, the incomputability and unpredictability of the system’s chaotic behavior are discussed. For the case beyond perturbation conditions, the evolution of stroboscopic Poincaré sections shows that the system undergoes a quasi-periodic transition to chaos with an increasing intensity of the rf-current. Through a suitable feedback controlling strategy, the chaos can be effectively suppressed and the intensity of the controller can vary in a large range. It is also found that the current between the two separated superconductors increases monotonously in some specific parameter spaces.  相似文献

We consider a simple model of the lossless interaction between a two-level single atom and a standing-wave single-mode laser field which creates a one-dimensional optical lattice. The internal dynamics of the atom is governed by the laser field, which is treated as classical with a large number of photons. The center-of-mass classical atomic motion is governed by the optical potential and the internal atomic degrees of freedom. The resulting Hamilton-Schrö dinger equations of motion are a five-dimensional nonlinear dynamical system with two integrals of motion, and the total atomic energy and the Bloch vector length are conserved during the interaction. In our previous papers, the motion of the atom has been shown to be regular or chaotic (in the sense of exponential sensitivity to small variations of the initial conditions and/or the system’s control parameters) depending on the values of the control parameters, atom-field detuning, and recoil frequency. At the exact atom-field resonance, the exact solutions for both the external and internal atomic degrees of freedom can be derived. The center-of-mass motion does not depend in this case on the internal variables, whereas the Rabi oscillations of the atomic inversion is a frequency-modulated signal with the frequency defined by the atomic position in the optical lattice. We study analytically the correlations between the Rabi oscillations and the center-of-mass motion in two limiting cases of a regular motion out of the resonance: (1) far-detuned atoms and (2) rapidly moving atoms. This paper is concentrated on chaotic atomic motion that may be quantified strictly by positive values of the maximal Lyapunov exponent. It is shown that an atom, depending on the value of its total energy, can either oscillate chaotically in a well of the optical potential, or fly ballistically with weak chaotic oscillations of its momentum, or wander in the optical lattice, changing the direction of motion in a chaotic way. In the regime of chaotic wandering, the atomic motion is shown to have fractal properties. We find a useful tool to visualize complicated atomic motion-Poincaré mapping of atomic trajectories in an effective three-dimensional phase space onto planes of atomic internal variables and momentum. The Poincaré mappings are constructed using the translational invariance of the standing laser wave. We find common features with typical nonhyperbolic Hamiltonian systems-chains of resonant islands of different sizes imbedded in a stochastic sea, stochastic layers, bifurcations, and so on. The phenomenon of the atomic trajectories sticking to boundaries of regular islands, which should have a great influence on atomic transport in optical lattices, is found and demonstrated numerically.  相似文献

微带超晶格在磁场和太赫兹场调控下表现出丰富而复杂的动力学行为, 研究微带电子在外场作用下的输运性质对于太赫兹器件设计与研制具有重要意义. 本文采用准经典的运动方程描述了超晶格微带电子在沿超晶格生长方向(z方向)的THz场和相对于z轴倾斜的磁场共同作用下的非线性动力学特性. 研究表明, 在太赫兹场和倾斜磁场共同作用下, 超晶格微带电子随时间的演化表现出周期和混沌等新奇的运动状态. 采用庞加莱分支图详细研究了微带电子在磁场和太赫兹场调控下的运动规律, 给出了电子运行于周期和混沌运动状态的参数区间. 在电场和磁场作用下, 微带电子将产生布洛赫振荡和回旋振荡, 形成复杂的协同耦合振荡. 太赫兹场与这些协同振荡模式之间的相互作用是导致电子表现出周期态、混沌态以及倍周期分叉等现象的主要原因.  相似文献

We suggest and experimentally demonstrate a chaotic memory resistor (memristor). The core of our approach is to use a resistive system whose equations of motion for its internal state variables are similar to those describing a particle in a multi-well potential. Using a memristor emulator, the chaotic memristor is realized and its chaotic properties are measured. A Poincaré plot showing chaos is presented for a simple nonautonomous circuit involving only a voltage source directly connected in series to a memristor and a standard resistor. We also explore theoretically some details of this system, plotting the attractor and calculating Lyapunov exponents. The multi-well potential used resembles that of many nanoscale memristive devices, suggesting the possibility of chaotic dynamics in other existing memristive systems.  相似文献

We explain Fermi acceleration of particles bouncing in a gravitational field and experiencing a force due to a modulated evanescent laser field. The acceleration strongly depends upon the initial conditions in the phase space and certain modulation amplitude. We study the accelerated modes by the Poincaré surface of sections and Lyapunov exponents. Furthermore, we identify the initial areas of the phase space that support accelerated dynamics and write a mapping for accelerated dynamics. We show that a distinction between accelerated and chaotic evolutions can be made with the help of the aspect ratio. The Lyapunov exponent shows that the accelerated mode supports ordered evolution.  相似文献

This paper introduces a new three dimensional autonomous system with five equilibrium points.It demonstrates complex chaotic behaviours within a wide range of parameters,which are described by phase portraits,Lyapunov exponents,frequency spectrum,etc.Analysis of the bifurcation and Poincar’e map is used to reveal mechanisms of generating these complicated phenomena.The corresponding electronic circuits are designed,exhibiting experimental chaotic attractors in accord with numerical simulations.Since frequency spectrum analysis shows a broad frequency bandwidth,this system has perspective of potential applications in such engineering fields as secure communication.  相似文献

A circular restricted three-body problem describes the motion of a test particle around two massive bodies in circular orbits. In this system, orbital decay caused by a gravitational radiation reaction between the two primary bodies is considered but the direct effect of gravitational radiation on the test particle is neglected. We adopt distance- and time-scale transformations to Newtonian problems so that systems without orbital decay will not depend on separation between the primaries but systems with orbital decay will depend on this separation. If a regular or chaotic orbit is given in a Newtonian system, the starting separation of the primaries varies according to the corresponding decay system. Thus, insights into the chaotic behaviour of a third body in a decay case are provided. For a large initial separation between the primaries, the chaos that exists in a Newtonian problem may be retained for a long enough time scale of dissipative evolution before the primaries coalesce. The final state of a third body is escape attributed to orbital decay.  相似文献

把三能级开放系统的密度矩阵按照Gellmann矩阵展开,然后将展开系数和Bloch球中的方位角对应, 从而获得了Poincaré球内部点和复三维Hilbert空间的非单位矢量即波函数的映射.进一步建议用该非单位矢量来定义混合态的量子几何相位.结果显示该几何相位仅仅与复Hilbert投影空间的几何结构有关, 与开放系统具体的演化路径无关;并且该混合态的几何相位依赖于开放系统的反转粒子数,也是描述开放系统混合度的单值光滑曲线,这个结果意味着混合态的演化的确按照几何相位保持其运动记忆.此外,在纯态的限制下,Berry相位是本文定义的几何相位极限情况.  相似文献
