Nonlinear optical properties of stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS)to signal detection in water are analyzed.With the threshold characteristics,SBS only occnrs when the high power laser is focused in the SBS cell.When there is an object present in front of the focus,it leads to lower incident intensity and then SBS does not occur.The backward SBS signal depends on the focusing location.The nonlinear optical properties of SBS process in the focusing regime axe analyzed theoretically.With the object coming near to the focusing center,the backward Stokes signal rises up from zero to a maximum,and then grows to saturation.The delay time of the echo signal to pump signal can give the object location.In experiment,the peak position of varying rate of energy can give object location.  相似文献

理论上,共振散射谱的提取通过纯弹性散射函数来实现,它定义为总的散射函数和合适的背景项之差。本文导出具有可分离变量的水下弹性体的纯弹性散射函数的简单而明显的表示式。它取决于模态的机械阻抗和声阻抗,除了一个只依赖于形状的相位因子外。用新公式分析分波共振谱发现两类不同特性的共振:弹性波共振和流体波共振。前者主要取决于物体的弹性,流体负荷的作用是第二位的。后者紧密联系于流体负荷,当流体负荷消失时它也消失。这就允许我们对单个共振正确地分类。最后,计及流体波共振极点,应用奇异点展开法对传统的共振散射公式进行了修正。  相似文献

The problem of scattering by spherically asymmetric potentials is considered where angular momentum not only ceases to be a conserved quantity but is also not a convenient basis for the expansion of wave functions and scattering amplitudes. Numerical solutions of the two-dimensional differential equation for the scattering amplitude of a particle and a coupled pair on a semitransparent disc of finite thickness are obtained. The effect of resonant diffraction is shown. A numerical scheme can be used to describe the scattering of a particle by deformed atomic nuclei.  相似文献

 采用两级布里渊结构压缩8ns的Nd:YAG激光,研究了基频光和倍频光的受激布里渊散射(SBS)压缩过程。实验中采用四氯化碳作为SBS介质,经第一级双池SBS压缩后,获得了1.5ns左右的Stokes 脉冲;第二级采用单池SBS压缩,分别使用基频光和倍频光作为泵浦光,获得了最短为60ps 的Stokes脉冲。实验证明,在一定条件下,利用SBS压缩脉宽可以获得比介质的声子寿命更短的脉冲。  相似文献

为提高液体介质中受激拉曼散射的输出能量,提出了通过温度调控来抑制受激布里渊散射的方法,设计了532 nm多纵模宽带脉冲激光泵浦的受激拉曼散射发生系统,测量了不同温度下水中前向受激拉曼散射及后向受激布里渊散射的输出能量,分析了水温、泵浦激光线宽及热散焦效应对受激拉曼散射输出能量影响的物理机制.实验结果表明:通过降低水温可实现对受激布里渊散射过程的有效抑制,同时减小热散焦效应带来的光束畸变,从而有效提高受激拉曼散射的输出能量.研究结果对液体介质中的受激拉曼散射多波长转换具有重要意义.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental results on Brillouin scattering in inhomogeneous materials are presented: Normal elastic modes and Brillouin intensities have been calculated for a periodic layer system. Measurements on semicrystalline polybutene-1 are discussed in terms of the theoretical results. Both theory and experiment yield several Brillouin lines in VV scattering instead of the one peak characteristic for homogeneous specimens.  相似文献

Brillouin scattering of photons off the density fluctuations in a fluid is potentially important for cosmology. We derive the Brillouin spectral distortion of blackbody radiation, and discuss the possible implications for the cosmic microwave background. The thermal Sunyaev-Zeldovich effect is slightly modified by Brillouin distortion, but only at very long wavelengths.  相似文献

The perturbation characteristics of ambient sea noise field caused by scattering of submerged objects are discussed theoretically. Based on the sea noise source model with Gaussian-correlation amplitude, and applying the integral expressions for arbitrary source distribution and the spherical wave expression of Green function for a monopole in half-infinite space, the expressions of direct-arrival noise fields, scattering fields and total noise fields of a rigid spherical object under the irradiation of monopole and dipole sources, as well as the covariance among those noise fields at two receiving points are obtained. The numerical results of scattering directional patterns of rigid spherical objects and the visibility are given. It is shown that the total noise field is affected by not only the impedance characteristics of the object, the direction of receiver, but also the correlation between surface sources, and the interference between direct-arrival and scattering fields greatly. The results show that the sound visibility of a rigid spherical object is about 4-5 dB in near range and the scattering directivity characteristics of a rigid spherical object under the irradiation of surface sources are different from those of plane wave incidence.  相似文献

Brillouin scattering experiments in the layer-type semiconductors GaSe and GaS by the pure-transverse phonon domains have been carried out at room temperature. Weak resonant enhancement and cancellation have been found for both materials in the region of transparency. The non-diagonal elastic constants C12 have also been determined to be 3.77 × 1011 dyn cm?2 (GaSe) and 5.35 × 1011 dyn cm?2 (GaS) by measuring the sound velocities of the phonon domains.  相似文献

实验上研究了宽带KrF激光抽运的受激布里渊散射(SBS)随抽运功率密度、介质气压和透镜焦距这三个实验参数的变化规律.在较低的抽运功率密度情况下,SBS反射率随抽运功率密度呈非线性增长;当抽运功率密度提高到一定程度,SBS反射率接近饱和;当功率密度继续增大,SBS 反射率随之下降.介质气压提高能够促进SBS的转换.透镜焦距长度的变化使SBS饱和反射率存在一峰值.理论上建立了宽带多模SBS模型,数值模拟结果与实验结果符合得很好,解释了宽带SBS反射率对实验参数的变化规律. 关键词: 宽带 KrF激光 受激布里渊散射(SBS) 反射率  相似文献

The dispersion of Brillouin scattering efficiency from the acoustoelectrically amplified phonon flux in CdSe has been measured in the range 1.37 to 1.65 eV. The dispersion curve shows enhancement and cancellation similar to those of GaAs, CdS and ZnO, and is in a good agreement with modified Loudon theory including exciton effects.  相似文献

We report the first measurements of thermally excited surface acoustic phonons, and bulk and surface magnons from metallic glasses using Brillouin scattering. In particular we present data on the compositions Fe40Ni40P14B6 and Fe80B20. The velocity of the surface phonons was found to agree within 1.5% with the value calculated from elastic continuum theory using known bulk elastic constants. The observed field dependence of the bulk magnon frequency can be fit within experimental error to the classical relation for the k = 0 mode by including alldemagnetizing corrections. The values for the magnetization obtained from both the surface and bulk magnons agree with the bulk values determined previously with a magnetometer. The measured field dependences of the surface magnon frequency allow us to determine the g-factors, yielding 2.08±0.02 for FeB and 2.03±0.03 for FeNiPB.  相似文献

Resonant Brillouin scattering in CdS by piezoelectrically inactive TA phonons has been studied at room temperature in the region of photon energies very close to the fundamental absorption edge. The results have shown that the scattering efficiency depends strongly on the damping in the excited electronic states.  相似文献
