The formation of vanadium(III) complexes with nuclearity greater than two is believed to occur in aqueous solution on the basis of potentiometric, electrochemical, and/or UV-vis spectroscopy titration measurements, although structural evidence for this is limited. Upon the addition of 1-2 equiv of acetate, propionate, chloroacetate, trifluoroacetate, or bromoacetate to an aqueous, acidic solution of vanadium(III), trinuclear and tetranuclear complexes are formed. The structures of [V4(mu-OH)4(mu-OOCCF3)4(OH2)8]Cl4.7.5H2O (1), [V4(mu-OH)4(mu-OOCCH3)4(OH2)8]Cl4.CH3COOH.12H2O (2), [V4(mu-OH)4(mu-OOCCH3)4(OH2)8]Cl4.3H2O (3), [V3(mu3-O)(mu-OOCCH2Br)6(OH2)3]CF3SO3.H2O (4), [V3(mu3-O)(mu-OOCCH2CH3)6(OH2)3]Cl.2H2O (5), [V3(mu3-O)(mu-OOCCH3)6(OH2)3]Cl.3.5H2O (6), and [V3(mu3-O)(mu-OOCCH2Cl)6(OH2)3]CF3SO3.H2O (7) have been determined by X-ray diffraction. Importantly, electrospray mass spectrometry and 1H NMR measurements suggest that these complexes are not purely solid-state phenomena but are also present in solution. For the vanadium(III)/acetate and vanadium(III)/propionate systems, two paramagnetic 1H NMR signals corresponding to two distinct complexes (species A and B) are observed in the 40-55 ppm region for 0.20 mol equiv of acetate or propionate, at pD 3.44. No corresponding signals are observed for the vanadium(III)/bromoacetate and vanadium(III)/chloroacetate systems under the same conditions or for the vanadium(III)/ trifluoroacetate system using 19F NMR spectroscopy. UV-vis spectra suggest that species B are structurally analogous for the vanadium(III)/acetate and vanadium(III)/propionate systems, whereas structurally different complexes are the major species for the other systems. Diffusion coefficients of species B for the vanadium(III)/acetate and vanadium(III)/propionate systems determined by pulsed-field-gradient spin-echo NMR spectroscopy measurements are (3.0 +/- 0.1) x 10-6 and (3.23 +/- 0.01) x 10-6 cm2 s-1, respectively, and are most consistent with species B being trimeric, rather than tetranuclear, complexes.  相似文献

The formation of complexes among the Curcumin, Fe(III) and Fe(II) was studied in aqueous media within the 5-11 pH range by means of UV-Vis spectrophotometry and cyclic voltammetry. When the reaction between the Curcumin and the ions present in basic media took place, the resulting spectra of the systems Curcumin-Fe(III) and Curcumin-Fe(II) presented a similar behaviour. The cyclic voltammograms in basic media indicated that a chemical reaction has taken place between the Curcumin and Fe(III) before that of the formation of complexes. Data processing with SQUAD permitted to calculate the formation constants of the complexes Curcumin-Fe(III), corresponding to the species FeCur (lob beta110 = 22.25 +/- 0.03) and FeCur(OH)- (log beta111 = 12.14 +/- 0.03), while for the complexes Curcumin-Fe(II) the corresponding formation constants of the species FeCur- (log beta110 = 9.20 +/- 0.04), FeHCur (log beta111 = 19.76 +/- 0.03), FeH2Cur+ (log beta112 = 28.11 +/- 0.02).  相似文献

Taking advantage of the Curie contribution to the relaxation of the protons in the Tb(III) complex, and the quadrupolar relaxation of the 17O and 2H nuclei on the Eu(III) complex, the effect of the internal motion of the water molecule bound to [Ln(DOTAM)(H2O)]3+ complexes was quantified. The determination of the quadrupolar coupling constant of the bound water oxygen chi(Omicron)(1 + eta(Omicron)2/3)1/2 = 5.2 +/- 0.5 MHz allows a new analysis of the 17O and 1H NMR data of the [Gd(DOTA)(H2O)]- complex with different rotational correlation times for the Gd(III)-O(water) and Gd(III)-H(water) vectors. The ratio of the rotational correlation times for the Ln(III)-H(water) vector and the overall rotational correlation time is calculated tau(RH)/tau(RO) = 0.65 +/- 0.2. This could have negative consequences on the water proton relaxivity, which we discuss in particular for macromolecular systems. It appears that the final effect is actually attenuated and should be around 10% for such large systems undergoing local motion of the chelating groups.  相似文献

Rate constants for the reactions of OH radicals and NO3 radicals with dimethyl phosphonate [DMHP, (CH3O)2P(O)H], dimethyl methylphosphonate [DMMP, (CH3O)2P(O)CH3], and dimethyl ethylphosphonate [DMEP, (CH3O)2P(O)C2H5] have been measured at 296 +/- 2 K and atmospheric pressure using relative rate methods. The rate constants obtained for the OH radical reactions (in units of 10(-12) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1)) were as follows: DMHP, 4.83 +/- 0.25; DMMP, 10.4 +/- 0.6; and DMEP, 17.0 +/- 1.0, with a deuterium isotope effect of k(OH + DMMP)/k(OH + DMMP-d9) = 4.8 +/- 1.2. The rate constants obtained for the NO3 radical reactions (in units of 10(-16) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1)) were as follows: DMHP, < 1.4; DMMP, 2.0 +/- 1.0; and DMEP, 3.4 +/- 1.4. Upper limits to the rate constants for the O3 reactions of < 8 x 10(-20) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) for DMHP and < 6 x 10(-20) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) for DMMP and DMEP were determined. Products of the reactions of OH radicals with DMHP, DMMP, and DMEP were investigated in situ using atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometry (API-MS) and, for the DMMP and DMEP reactions, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. API-MS analyses showed the formation of products of molecular weight 96 and 126, attributed to CH3OP(O)(H)OH and (CH3O)2P(O)OH, respectively, from DMHP; of molecular weight 110, attributed to CH3OP(O)(CH3)OH, from DMMP; and of molecular weight 124 and 126, attributed to CH3OP(O)(C2H5)OH and (CH3O)2P(O)OH, respectively, from DMEP. FT-IR analyses showed formation (values given are % molar yields) of the following: from DMMP, CO, 54 +/- 6; CO2, 5 +/- 1 in dry air; HCHO, 3.9 +/- 0.7; HC(O)OH, < 1.4 in dry air; RONO2, approximately 4; and formate ester, approximately 8; and from DMEP, CO, 50 +/- 7; CO2, 11 +/- 4; CH3CHO, 18 +/- 8; HCHO, < 7; HC(O)OH, < 6; RONO2, < or = 5; and formate ester, 5.0 +/- 1.5. Possible reaction mechanisms are discussed.  相似文献

The formation of hydroxo acetate complexes of iron (III) ion has been studied at 25 degrees C in 3 M (Na)ClO4 ionic medium by measuring with a glass electrode the hydrogen ion concentration in Fe(ClO4)3-HClO4-NaAc mixtures (Ac = acetate ion). The acetate/metal ratio ranged from 0 to 6, the metal concentration varied from 0.005 to 0.06 M, whereas [H+] was stepwise decreased from 0.1 M to initial precipitation of hydroxo-acetates. This occurred, depending on the acetate/metal ratio, in the -log[H+] range 1.85-2.7. The potentiometric data are consistent with the presence of Fe3(OH)3Ac3(3+), Fe2(OH)2(4+), Fe3(OH)4(5+), Fe3(OH)5(4+) and, as minor species, of Fe3(OH)2Ac6+, FeAc2+, FeAc2+, FeOH2+ and Fe(OH)2+. Previously published EMF measurements with redox and glass half-cells were recalculated to refine the stability constants of FeAc2+, FeAc2+ and Fe3(OH)2Ac6+. Formation constants *beta pqr for pFe(3+)+(q-r)H2O + rHAc reversible Fep(OH)(q-r)(Ac)r3p-q + qH+ (in parenthesis the infinite dilution value): log*beta 111 = -1.85 +/- 0.02 (-0.67 +/- 0.15), log*beta 122 = -3.43 +/- 0.02 (-1.45 +/- 0.15); log*beta 363 = -5.66 +/- 0.03 (-2.85 +/- 0.40), log*beta 386 = -8.016 +/- 0.006 (-4.06 +/- 0.15), log*beta 220 = -2.88 +/- 0.02 (-2.84 +/- 0.05), log*beta 340 = -6.14 +/- 0.18 (-6.9 +/- 0.4), log*beta 350 = -8.44 +/- 0.09 (-7.65 +/- 0.15).  相似文献

Using relative rate methods, rate constants for the gas-phase reactions of divinyl sulfoxide [CH 2CHS(O)CHCH 2; DVSO] with NO 3 radicals and O 3 have been measured at 296 +/- 2 K, and rate constants for the reaction with OH radicals have been measured over the temperature range of 277-349 K. Rate constants obtained for the NO 3 radical and O 3 reactions at 296 +/- 2 K were (6.1 +/- 1.4) x 10 (-16) and (4.3 +/- 1.0) x 10 (-19) cm (3) molecule (-1) s (-1), respectively. For the OH radical reaction, the temperature-dependent rate expression obtained was k = 4.17 x 10 (-12)e ((858 +/- 141)/ T ) cm (3) molecule (-1) s (-1) with a 298 K rate constant of (7.43 +/- 0.71) x 10 (-11) cm (3) molecule (-1) s (-1), where, in all cases, the errors are two standard deviations and do not include the uncertainties in the rate constants for the reference compounds. Divinyl sulfone was observed as a minor product of both the OH radical and NO 3 radical reactions at 296 +/- 2 K. Using in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, CO, CO 2, SO 2, HCHO, and divinyl sulfone were observed as products of the OH radical reaction, with molar formation yields of 35 +/- 11, 2.2 +/- 0.8, 33 +/- 4, 54 +/- 6, and 5.4 +/- 0.8%, respectively, in air. For the experimental conditions employed, aerosol formation from the OH radical-initiated reaction of DVSO in the presence of NO was minor, being approximately 1.5%. The data obtained here for DVSO are compared with literature data for the corresponding reactions of dimethyl sulfoxide.  相似文献

The acid constants of mangiferin (a natural xanthonoid) in aqueous solution were determined through an UV/vis spectroscopic study employing the SQUAD program as a computational tool. A NMR study complements the pK(a) values assignment and evidences a H-bridge presence on 1-C. The chemical model used was consistent with the experimental data obtained. The pK(a) values determined with this procedure were as follows: H(4)(MGF)=H(3)(MGF)(-)+H(+), pKa1 (6-H)=6.52+/-0.06; H(3)(MGF)(-)=H(2)(MGF)(2-)+H(+), pKa2 (3-H)=7.97+/-0.06; H(2)(MGF)(2-)=H(MGF)(3-)+H(+), pKa3 (7-H)=9.44+/-0.04; H(MGF)(3-)=(MGF)(4-)+H(+), pKa4 (1-H)=12.10+/-0.01; where it has been considered mangiferin C(19)H(18)O(11) as H(4)(MGF). Mangiferin UV/vis spectral behavior, stability study in aqueous solution as well as NMR spectroscopy studies: one-dimensional (1)H,(13)C, 2D correlated (1)H/(13)C performed by (g)-HSQC and (g)-HMBC methods; are also presented. pK(a) values determination of H(4)(MGF) in aqueous solution is a necessary contribution to subsequent pharmacokinetic study, and a step towards the understanding of its biological effects.  相似文献

The effects of 10 paramagnetic metal complexes (Fe(III)EDTA(H2O)-, Fe(III)EDTA(OH)2-, Fe(III)PDTA-, Fe(III)DTPA2-, Fe(III)2O(TTHA)2-, Fe(III)(CN)6(3-), Mn(II)EDTA(H2O)2-, Mn(II)PDTA2-, Mn(II)beta-EDDADP2-, and Mn(II)PO4(-)) on F- ion 19F NMR transverse relaxation rates (R2 = 1/T2) were studied in aqueous solutions as a function of temperature. Consistent with efficient relaxation requiring formation of a metal/F- bond, only the substitution inert complexes Fe(III)(CN)6(3-) and Fe(III)EDTA(OH)2- had no measured effect on T2 relaxation of the F- 19F resonance. For the remaining eight complexes, kinetic parameters (apparent second-order rate constants and activation enthalpies) for metal/F- association were determined from the dependence of the observed relaxation enhancements on complex concentration and temperature. Apparent metal/F- association rate constants for these complexes (k(app,F-)) spanned 5 orders of magnitude. In addition, we measured the rates at which O2*- reacts with Fe(III)PDTA-, Mn(II)EDTA(H2O)2-, Mn(II)PDTA2-, and Mn(II)beta-EDDADP2- by pulse radiolysis. Although no intermediate is observed during the reduction of Fe(III)PDTA- by O2*-, each of the Mn(II) complexes reacts with formation of a transient intermediate presumed to form via ligand exchange. These reactivity patterns are consistent with literature precedents for similar complexes. With these data, both k(app,O2-) and k(app,F-) are available for each of the eight reactive complexes. A plot of log(k(app,O2-)) versus log(k(app,F-)) for these eight showed a linear correlation with a slope approximately 1. This correlation suggests that rapid metal/O2*- reactions of these complexes occur via an inner-sphere mechanism whereas formation of an intermediate coordination complex limits the overall rate. This hypothesis is also supported by the very low rates at which the substitution inert complexes (Fe(III)(CN)6(3-) and Fe(III)EDTA(OH)2-) are reduced by O2*-. These results suggest that F- 19F NMR relaxation can be used to predict the reactivities of other Fe(III) complexes toward reduction by O2*-, a key step in the biological production of reactive oxygen species.  相似文献

Rate constants for the reactions of OH radicals and NO3 radicals with O,O-diethyl methylphosphonothioate [(C(2)H(5)O)(2)P(S)CH(3); DEMPT] and O,O,O-triethyl phosphorothioate [(C(2)H(5)O)(3)PS; TEPT] have been measured using relative rate methods at atmospheric pressure of air over the temperature range 296-348 K for the OH radical reactions and at 296 +/- 2 K for the NO(3) radical reactions. At 296 +/- 2 K, the rate constants obtained for the OH radical reactions (in units of 10(-11) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)) were 20.4 +/- 0.8 and 7.92 +/- 0.27 for DEMPT and TEPT, respectively, and those for the NO(3) radical reactions (in units of 10(-15) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)) were 2.01 +/- 0.20 and 1.03 +/- 0.10, respectively. Upper limits to the rate constants for the reactions of O(3) with DEMPT and TEPT of <6 x 10(-20) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) were determined in each case. Rate constants for the OH radical reactions, measured relative to k(OH + alpha-pinene) = 1.21 x 10(-11) e(436/T) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), resulted in the Arrhenius expressions k(OH + DEMPT) = 1.08 x 10(-11) e(871+/-25)/T cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) and k(OH + TEPT) = 8.21 x 10(-13) e(1353+/-49)/T cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over the temperature range 296-348 K, where the indicated errors are two least-squares standard deviations and do not include the uncertainties in the reference rate constant. Diethyl methylphosphonate was identified and quantified from the OH radical and NO(3) radical reactions with DEMPT, with formation yields of 21 +/- 4%, independent of temperature, from the OH radical reaction and 62 +/- 11% from the NO(3) radical reaction at 296 +/- 2 K. Similarly, triethyl phosphate was identified and quantified from the OH radical and NO(3) radical reactions with TEPT, with formation yields of 56 +/- 9%, independent of temperature, from the OH radical reaction and 78 +/- 15% from the NO(3) radical reaction at 296 +/- 2 K.  相似文献

A detailed study of the quaternary aqueous H+/H2VO4-/H2O2/picolinate (Pi-) system has been performed at 25 degrees C in 0.150 M Na(Cl) medium using quantitative 51 V NMR (500 MHz) and potentiometric data (glass electrode). In the ternary H+/H2VO4-/Pi- system, six complexes have been found in the pH region 1-10. In the quaternary H+/H2VO4-/H2O2/Pi- system, eight additional complexes have been found. Generally, equilibria are fast in both systems. The rate of peroxide decomposition depends on the species in solution. Chemical shifts, compositions and formation constants for the species are given. Equilibrium conditions and the fit of the model to the experimental data are illustrated in distribution diagrams. Possible formation of mixed ligand species with imidazole, lactic acid and citric acid have been investigated and ruled out under the same experimental conditions. Structural proposals are given, based on 1)C NMR data and available crystal structures.  相似文献

The formation of uranyl-peroxide complexes was studied at alkaline media by using UV-Visible spectrophotometry and the STAR code. Two different complexes were found at a H(2)O(2)/U(VI) ratio lower than 2. A graphical method was used in order to obtain the formation constants of such complexes and the STAR program was used to refine the formation constants values because of its capacity to treat multiwavelength absorbance data and refining equilibrium constants. The values obtained for the two complexes identified were: UO(2)(2+) + H(2)O(2) + 4OH(-) UO(2)(O(2))(OH)(2)(2-) + 2H(2)O: log β°(1,1,4) = 28.1 ± 0.1 (1). UO(2)(2+) + 2H(2)O(2) + 6OH(-) UO(2)(O(2))(2)(OH)(2)(4-) + 4H(2)O: log β°(1,2,6) = 36.8 ± 0.2 (2). At hydrogen peroxide concentrations higher than 10(-5) mol dm(-3), and in the absence of carbonate, the UO(2)(O(2))(2)(OH)(2)(4-) complex is predominant in solution, indicating the significant peroxide affinity of peroxide ions for uranium and the strong complexes of uranium(VI) with peroxide.  相似文献

The kinetics and mechanism of oxidation of CF3CHFOCH3 was studied using an 11.5-dm3 environmental reaction chamber. OH radicals were produced by UV photolysis of an O3-H2O-He mixture at an initial pressure of 200 Torr in the chamber. The rate constant of the reaction of CF3CHFOCH3 with OH radicals (k1) was determined to be (1.77 +/- 0.69) x 10(-12) exp[(-720 +/- 110)/T] cm3 molecule(-1)(s-1) by means of a relative rate method at 253-328 K. The mechanism of the reaction was investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy at 298 K. CF3CHFOC(O)H, FC(O)OCH3, and COF2 were determined to be the major products. The branching ratio (k1a/k1b) for the reactions CF3CHFOCH3 + OH --> CF3CHFOCH2* + H2O (k1a) and CF3CHFOCH3 + OH --> CF3CF*OCH3 + H2O (k1b) was estimated to be 4.2:1 at 298 K from the yields of CF3CHFOC(O)H, FC(O)OCH3, and COF2. The rate constants of the reactions of CF3CHFOC(O)H (k2) and FC(O)OCH3 (k3) with OH radicals were determined to be (9.14 +/- 2.78) x 10(-13) exp[(-1190 +/- 90)/T] and (2.10 +/- 0.65) x 10(-13) exp[(-630 +/- 90)/T] cm3 molecule(-1)(s-1), respectively, by means of a relative rate method at 253-328 K. The rate constants at 298 K were as follows: k1 = (1.56 +/- 0.06) x 10-13, k2 = (1.67 +/- 0.05) x 10-14, and k3 = (2.53 +/- 0.07) x 10-14 cm3 molecule(-1)(s-1). The tropospheric lifetimes of CF3CHFOCH3, CF3CHFOC(O)H, and FC(O)OCH3 with respect to reaction with OH radicals were estimated to be 0.29, 3.2, and 1.8 years, respectively.  相似文献

The extraction of gallium(III) with newly prepared 5-alkyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol derivatives with alkyl substituent at the 2-position in 8-quinolinol moiety has been studied. The Ga(III)-5-octyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HO(8)Q), Ga(III)-2-methyl-5-octyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HMO(8)Q), Ga(III)-2-methyl-5-hexyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HM-O(6)Q), and Ga(HI)-2-n-butyl-5-hexyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol (HNBO(6)Q) complexes extracted in heptane from a perchloric acid medium were Ga(O(8)Q)(3), Ga(OH)(H(2)O)(MO(8)Q)(2), Ga(OH)(H(2)O)(MO(6)Q)(2) and Ga(OH)H(2)O)(NBO(6)Q)(2), respectively. The 2-tert-butyl-5-hexyloxymethyl-8-quinolinol did not exhibit any reactivity toward gallium(III). The extraction constants for Ga(O(8)Q)(3) (K(ex) = [Ga(O(8)Q)(3)](org) [H(+)](3)/[Ga(3+)][HO(8)Q](org)(3)), Ga(OH)(H(2)O)(MO(8)Q)(2) (K(ex) = [Ga(OH) (H(2)O)(MO(8)Q)(2)](org) [H(+)](3)/[Ga(3+)][HMO(8)Q](org)(2)), Ga(OH)(H(2)O)(2)(MO(6)Q)(2) and Ga(OH)(H(2)O)(NBO(6)Q)(2), which were extracted in heptane from an acidic solution, are 10(3.21 +/- 0.12), 10(-4.24 +/- 0.16), 10(-3.84 +/- 0.16) and 10(-4.07 +/- 0.07), respectively at I = 0.1 M and 25 degrees C. HNBO(6)Q exhibited very high selectivity toward gallium(III) in the presence of aluminum(III). Even in the presence of a 100 fold excess of aluminum(III) to gallium(III) (1.43 x 10(-5) M), gallium(III) was completely extracted and the distribution ratio of aluminum(III) was found to be less than 2.0 x 10(-3).  相似文献

A pulsed laser photolysis-pulsed laser-induced fluorescence (PLP-PLIF) system was employed to study the kinetics and mechanisms of reactions (1) OH + h6-DMS --> products and (2) OH + d6-DMS --> products. We report direct observations of the rate coefficients for the formation and dissociation of the h6-OHDMS and d6-OHDMS adducts over the pressure range 50-650 Torr and between 240 and 245 K, together with measurements of the oxygen dependence of the effective rate coefficients for reactions 1 and 2 under similar conditions. The effective rate coefficients increased as a function of O2 concentration reaching their limiting values in each case. The values of the adduct formation rate, obtained from the O2 dependencies, were in excellent agreement with values determined from direct observation of adduct equilibration in N2. OH regeneration is insignificant. The rate coefficients for the formation of the adduct isotopomers showed slight differences in their falloff behavior and do not approach the high-pressure limit in either case. The equilibrium constants obtained show no dependence on isotopomer and are in good agreement with previous work. A "second-law" analysis of the temperature dependence of the equilibrium constant gives an adduct bond strength (DeltaH degrees =-10.9 +/- 1.0 kcal mol(-1)), also in good agreement with previously reported values. Using the entropy calculated from the ab initio vibrational frequencies, we obtain a "third-law" value for the reaction enthalpy at 240 K, DeltaH(240K) degrees = -10.5 kcal mol(-1) in good agreement with the other approach. The rate coefficient for the reactions of the adducts with O2 was obtained from an analysis of the O2 dependence and was determined to be 6.3 +/- 1.2 x 10(-13) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1), with no dependence on pressure or isotopomer. The pressure and temperature dependence for all of the elementary processes in the initial steps of the dimethylsulfide (DMS) oxidation mechanism have been characterized in the range 238-245 K, allowing the formulation of an expression which can be used to calculate the effective rate coefficient for reaction 1 at any pressure and oxygen concentration. The expression can calculate the effective rate coefficient for reaction 1 to +/- 40% over the range 220-260 K, with the largest errors at the extremes of this range. Gaussian 03 has been used to calculate the structure of the OH-DMS adduct and its deuterated isotopomer. We find similar bound structures for both isotopomers. The calculated enthalpies of formation of the adducts are lower than the experimentally determined values.  相似文献

Complex formation between Fe(III) and tartaric acid (H(2)L) has been studied in O.5M NaNO(3) medium at 25 degrees by potentiometry at pH 4.5-11. The following complex species and corresponding values of the stability constants (charges omitted) are proposed: 2Fe + 2L + 5H(2)O --> Fe(2)(OH)(5)L(2) + 5H(+); log* beta(-522) = 4.95 Fe + L + 3H(2)O --> Fe(OH)(3)L + 3H(+); log* beta(-311) = -1.55 Fe + L + 5H(2)O --> Fe(OH)(5)L + 5H(+); log* beta(-511) = -21.2 These results are in good agreement with those reported for this system in acid. The results may be presented as the degeneration of the "core + link" mechanism observed in the acidic zone. Structures are suggested for the complex species formed.  相似文献

The reflected shock tube technique with multipass absorption spectrometric detection of OH radicals at 308 nm (corresponding to a total path length of approximately 4.9 m) has been used to study the dissociation of methanol between 1591 and 2865 K. Rate constants for two product channels [CH3OH + Kr --> CH3 + OH + Kr (1) and CH3OH + Kr --> 1CH2 + H2O + Kr (2)] were determined. During the course of the study, it was necessary to determine several other rate constants that contributed to the profile fits. These include OH + CH3OH --> products, OH + (CH3)2CO --> CH2COCH3 + H2O, and OH + CH3 --> 1,3CH2 + H2O. The derived expressions, in units of cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), are k(1) = 9.33 x 10(-9) exp(-30857 K/T) for 1591-2287 K, k(2) = 3.27 x 10(-10) exp(-25946 K/T) for 1734-2287 K, kOH+CH3OH = 2.96 x 10-16T1.4434 exp(-57 K/T) for 210-1710 K, k(OH+(CH3)(2)CO) = (7.3 +/- 0.7) x 10(-12) for 1178-1299 K and k(OH+CH3) = (1.3 +/- 0.2) x 10(-11) for 1000-1200 K. With these values along with other well-established rate constants, a mechanism was used to obtain profile fits that agreed with experiment to within <+/-10%. The values obtained for reactions 1 and 2 are compared with earlier determinations and also with new theoretical calculations that are presented in the preceding article in this issue. These new calculations are in good agreement with the present data for both (1) and (2) and also for OH + CH3 --> products.  相似文献

The NMR spectra of a series of beta-substituted iron(III) tetraphenylporphyrin (2-X-TPP) complexes have been studied to elucidate the relationship between the electron donating/withdrawing properties of the 2-substituent and the (1)H NMR spectral pattern. The electronic nature of the substituent has been significantly varied and covered the -0.6 to 0.8 Hammett constant range. Both high-spin and low-spin complexes of the general formula (2-X-TPP)Fe(III)Cl and [(2-X-TPP)Fe(III)(CN)(2)](-) have been investigated. The (1)H NMR data for the following substituents (X) have been reported: py(+), NO(2), CN, CH(3), BzO (C(6)H(5)COO), H, D, Br, Cl, CH(3), NH(2), NH(3)(+), NHCH(3), OH, and O(-). The (1)H NMR resonances for low-spin dicyano complexes have been completely assigned by a combination of two-dimensional COSY and NOESY experiments. In the case of selected high-spin complexes, the 3-H resonance has been identified by the selective deuteration of all but the 3-H position. The pattern of unambiguously assigned seven pyrrole resonances reflects the asymmetry imposed by 2-substitution and has been used as an unique (1)H NMR spectroscopic probe to map the spin density distribution. The pyrrole isotropic shifts of [(2-X-TPP)Fe(III)(CN)(2)](-) are dominated by the contact term. In order to quantify the substituent effect, the dependence of isotropic shift of all low-spin pyrrole resonances and 3-H high-spin pyrrole resonance versus Hammett constants has been studied. The electronic effect is strongly localized at the beta-substituted pyrrole. The major change of the isotropic shift has also been noted for only one of two adjacent pyrrole rings, i.e., at 7-H and 8-H positions. These neighboring protons, located on a single pyrrole ring, experienced opposite shift changes when electron withdrawing/donating properties were modified. Two other pyrrole rings for all investigated derivatives revealed considerably smaller, substituent related, isotropic shift changes. A long-range secondary isotopic shift has been observed for [(2-D-TPP)Fe(III)(CN)(2)](-). The effect is consistent with a general spin density distribution mechanism due to beta-substitution. A fairly good correlation between the 3-H isotropic shift of (2-X-TPP)Fe(III)Cl and the Hammett constant has been found as well. The observed contact shift pattern of [(2-X-TPP)Fe(III)(CN)(2)](-) reflects spin pi delocalization into the highest filled MO equivalent to the unsubstituted porphyrin 3e(pi) orbital. To account for the substituent contribution, the semiquantitative Fenske-Hall LCAO method has been used to determine the molecular orbitals involved in the spin density delocalization. For low-spin complexes, (13)C pyrrole resonances of carbons bearing a proton have been identified by means of a (1)H-(13)C HMQC experiment. The reversed order of (13)C resonance patterns as compared to their (1)H NMR counterparts has been determined, e.g., the largest isotropic shift of 3-H has been accompanied by the smallest measured (13)C isotropic shift. Analysis of the isotropic shifts in (2-X-TPP)Fe(III)Cl and [(2-X-TPP)Fe(III)(CN)(2)](-) suggests that the observed regularities of the electronic structure modification due to the beta-substitution should apply to iron(III) natural porphyrin or geoporphyrin complexes.  相似文献

Thermodynamic and kinetic studies of the hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) from hydroxyl (OH) groups of four kaempferol-based compounds, namely kaempferol, morin, morin-5*-sulfonate and morin-7-O-sulfate to hydroxyl radical (·OH), have been carried out using density functional theory (DFT) methods at the CAM-B3LYP/6–311++G(d,p) level equipped with polarizable continuum model (PCM) of solvation. All HAT reactions in aqueous solution are exothermic and spontaneous. For most compounds, the most preferable OH group for HAT is situated at position C3 (O3-H3) on the pyrone ring. The reaction potential of such a reactive group is found to be highest in morin-7-O-sulfate. The rate constants for the HAT reactions at different OH groups of each compound have been determined based on the transition state theory. The presence of substituents leads to the variation in either the characteristic interactions at the reactive site or the charge distribution on transition-state geometries, hence significantly affecting the kinetics of HAT. The highest rate of HAT is resulted for the OH group at position C4* (O4*-H4*) on the phenyl ring (ring B) of morin-5*-sulfonate because a hydrogen bond between ·OH and the sulfonate group favors the formation of transition state. However, for most compounds under study, the HAT reaction at O3-H3 initiated by ·OH is highly favorable both thermodynamically and kinetically.

The pH-dependent water-exchange rates of [(CO)2(NO)Re(H2O(cis))2(H2O(trans))]2+ (1) in aqueous media were investigated by means of 17O NMR spectroscopy at 298 K. Because of the low pK(a) value found for 1 (pK(a) = 1.4 +/- 0.3), the water-exchange rate constant k(obs)(H2O(trans/cis)) was analyzed with a two-pathway model in which k(Re)(H2O(trans/cis)) and k(ReOH)(H2O)(trans/cis)) denote the water-exchange rate constants in trans or cis position to the nitrosyl ligand on 1 and on the monohydroxo species [(CO)2(NO)Re(H2O)2(OH)]+ (2), respectively. Whereas the rate constants k(ReOH)(H2O)(trans)) and k(ReOH)(H2O)(cis)) were determined as (4.2 +/- 2) x 10(-3) s(-1) and (5.8 +/- 2) x 10(-4) s(-1), respectively, k(Re)(H2O)(trans)) and k(Re)(H2O)(cis)) were too small to be determined in the presence of the much more reactive species 2. Apart from the water exchange, an unexpectedly fast C identical with 16O --> C identical withO exchange was also observed via NMR and IR spectroscopy. It was found to proceed through 1 and 2, with rate constants k(Re)(CO) and k(ReOH)(CO) of (19 +/- 4) x 10(-3) s(-1) and (4 +/- 3) x 10(-3) s(-1), respectively. On the other hand, N identical with 16O --> N identical with *O exchange was not observed.  相似文献
