The differential cross sections at 90° for the 51V(e, p0)50Ti and 52Cr(e, p0 + p1)51V reactions have been measured over the giant dipole resonance region. These cross sections were used to obtain the differential cross sections of the 51V(γ, p0)50Ti and 52Cr(γ, p0 + p1)51V reactions. The results show two peaks that appear at the same energies as the main peaks of the (γ, n) and (γ, p) cross section for both nuclei. The angular distributions of protons from the (e, p) reaction have also been measured at several points of the incident electron energy. The coefficients A2 obtained by fitting with a series of Legendre polynomials, W(θ) = 1 + A1P1(cos θ)+A2P2(cos θ), varies with excitation energy. These results are discussed in terms of the direct-semidirect process considering isospin effects in the giant dipole resonance.  相似文献

The yields of the (γ,2p) reaction on30Si and of the (γ,2p), (γ,2pn), (γ, 3p) and (γ,3pn) reactions on31P have been measured as a function of the maximum bremsstrahlung energy in the range 75–640 MeV. The cross sections have been deduced and are compared to Monte-Carlo calculations. The magnitude of the cross sections in the energy range above the threshold for the photoproduction of mesons is also discussed using a simple analytical approach.  相似文献

The yields of the reactions40Ca(γ, p n)38g K and40Ca(γ, 3p 3n)34m Cl have been measured by the activation method in the energy range 80–800 MeV. From the measured yields the cross sections are deduced. The experimental cross sections are compared to calculations with a cascade-evaporation model for photo-induced reactions.  相似文献

The reaction e p→e'pπ0 has been measured at W=2.55 GeV a fixed electron scattering angle of 10.3°. Two magnetic spectrometers and a lead glass hodoscope were used to detect all four final state particles. Electroproduction cross sections in the t range ?0.15 to ?1.4 (GeV/c)2 at q2 = ?0.22, ?0.55 and ?0.85 (GeV/c)2 are presented. Above |t|=0.6 (GeV/c)2 the cross sections are considerably smaller than those for photoproduction.  相似文献

A high resolution magnetic pair spectrometer for medium energy photons has been used for studies of the exclusive (p, e+e) and (p, γ) reactions on deuterium at 98 and 176 MeV. The (p, e+e) cross sections, obtained at 40° and 80°, are compared with the corresponding data for the (p, γ) reaction measured with the same apparatus. At small virtual photon masses the (p, e+e) cross sections show significant enhancement over what is expected from model calculations, a behaviour which has earlier been observed also for the 11B(p, e+e)12C reaction.  相似文献

Projectile (Z 1) and target (Z 2)K-vacancy production cross sections induced by 3.6-, 4.75-, and 5.9-MeV/amu238U ions in selected targets between C and U are reported. The cross sections are discussed within the context of the molecular model of inner-shell vacancy production in heavy-ion-atom collisions. The measured 1sσ and 2pσ excitation cross sections are compared with semiempirical formulas, and with the perturbed-stationary-states calculations of Betz et al. The dependence of these cross sections onZ u =Z1+Z 2 agrees well with the Betz calculations. However, the measured cross sections are factors of 2 to 4 (1sσ) and 4 to 5 (2pσ) larger than the theoretical values.  相似文献

For the first time, an analysis of all experimental data on the differential cross section for elastic γp scattering at photon energies below 150 MeV is performed in order to determine the electric (α p) and magnetic (β p) polarizabilities of the proton. A fit to these data with two free parameters α p and β p embedded into the theoretical cross section obtained on the basis of finite-energy s-channel dispersion relations gives the following world-average values of the proton polarizabilities: α p=11.7±0.8 (stat.+syst.)±0.7 (model), β p=2.3±0.9 (stat.+syst.)±0.7 (model) in units of 10?4 fm3. The first error is combined—it takes into account the statistical and systematic errors in the experimental cross sections—while the second error comes from the theoretical uncertainties in the dispersion-theory cross sections.  相似文献

We present the first data on the exclusive (p,e+e) reaction in a nucleus. Cross sections for populating the ground state and first excited state in the residual nucleus are presented for the reaction 11B(p, e+e)12C at 98 MeV. The e+e momentum vectors were measured with a high-resolution magnetic pair spectrometer. The distributions of the virtual photon invariant mass and of the direction of the electron in the virtual photon rest system are compared with a simple single-nucleon model. The (p,e+e) cross sections are compared with corresponding data for the (p, γ) reaction obtained with the same apparatus. The (p,e+e) cross sections show substantial enhancement over what is expected from the simple model.  相似文献

Total cross sections and excitation functions up to 11·8 MeV have been measured for the Ce142(d,p), -(d,n) and -(d, 2n) reactions by the activation method. The cross sections found forE d=11·8 MeV are 187mb, 54 mb and 535 mb, respectively. By comparing these results with cross sections calculated from the statistical theory of nuclear reactions it can be shown that the (d,p)-reaction and nearly the whole (d,n) -reaction proceed by stripping mechanism.  相似文献

Accurate reaction cross sections of Mg24(n, p)Na24, Ti48(n, p)Sc48, V51(n, α)Sc48, Cu65(n, 2n)Cu64, Y89(n, 2n)Y88 and Ag107(n, 2n)Ag106m (8.3d) have been determined in order to normalize previous measurements of relative excitation functions. Neutrons were produced by the T(d, n)He4 reaction, with 163 kev deuterons, at the cascade accelerator of the Institut für Radiumforschung und Kernphysik, Vienna. The samples were placed at angles between 50° and 100° relative to the deuteron beam direction, each sample being sandwiched by two aluminum foils. The cross sections were determined relative to the Al27(n, α)Na24 cross section, the absolute value of which is known very accurately. Self-shielding, scattering and drifts in neutron flux have been corrected for. Activities were counted in a 5×5″ well type NaJ-detector the efficency of which had been absolutely calibrated to an accuracy of 0.3 to 0.1%. Because of the high accuracy achieved in the activity measurements, all cross sections could be determined almost as accurately as permitted by the errors of the standard cross section (1.2%) and of the relative excitation functions (1%), and thus resulting in a combined error (3σ-error) of 1.7%.  相似文献

Pioneering theoretical data for single-electron charge transfer and excitations due to collisions between Bi4+ ions in the ground (6s) and metastable (6p) states are gained in the collision energy interval 5–75 keV in the center-of-mass frame. The cross sections of the processes are calculated in terms of the close-coupling method in the basis of two-electron quasi-molecular states for the Coulomb trajectory of nuclei. It is found that single-electron capture into the singlet 6s 2 states of Bi3+ ions makes a major contribution to the charge transfer total cross section for Bi4+(6s) + Bi4+(6s) collisions (reaction 1), whereas single-electron capture into the singlet 6s6p states is the basic contributor to the total cross section in Bi4+(6s) + Bi4+(6p) collisions (reaction 2). In the collision energy interval mentioned above, the collision cross sections vary between 1.2 × 10?17 and 1.9 × 10?17 cm2 for reaction 1 and between 3.8 × 10?17 and 5.3 × 10?17 cm2 for reaction 2. In reaction 1, the 6s → 6p excitation cross sections vary from 0.6 × 10?16 to 0.8 × 10?16 cm2 for the singlet channel and from 2.2 × 10?16 to 2.8 × 10?16 cm2 for the triplet channel. The calculation results are compared with the data obtained in experiments with crossed ion beams of kiloelectronvolt energy. The fraction of metastable ions in the beams is estimated by comparing the experimental data with the weighted average theoretical results for the cross sections of reactions 1 and 2. From the data for the charge transfer cross sections, one can estimate particle losses in relativistic beams due to a change in the charge state of the ions colliding with each other in the beam because of betatron oscillations.  相似文献

The theory ofγ break-up processes in the cluster model reaction scheme is developed and applied to the4He case. The large difference between (γ, p) and (γ, n) cross sections reported in the literature is not found, but the result of this calculation agrees well with (γ, p) measurements. Proton spectra have been measured at lab angles ofθ=0° to 100° for the reaction Zr(n, p)Y at 21.8 MeV incident neutron energy. Spectra over an angular spread of 80° were accumulated simultaneously using a detection system consisting of proportional counterΔE detectors and a curved plastic scintillator as energy detector. Resonant behaviour is observed in the proton spectra for the Zr(n, p)Y reaction but not for the Fe(n, p)Mn reaction. The resonant structure is attributed to the excitation of the analogues ofT > giant dipole states of Zr. The resonant structure is shown to correspond in position, gross and fine structure, and, in strength and angular dependence of the cross sections, with expectations for the90Zr(n, p)90Y reaction. DWBA cross sections are derived and fitted to the experimental data with a Lane potential of 150 MeV.  相似文献

138Ba(d,γ)140La and197Au(d,γ)199mHg cross sections were measured for deuteron energies ranging from 5 to 26 MeV. A survey of existing experimental (p,γ), (d,γ) and (α,γ) cross sections is given. A comparison of all the experimental data with calculated compound nucleus cross sections is performed. An increase in the ratio of experimental cross sections and calculated compound nuclear cross sections with increasing mass numberA is observed for all capture processes.  相似文献

For the study of three nucleon force (3NF) effects in the intermediate energy region, the differential cross sections and the vector analyzing power A y were measured for the 2H(p, n) inclusive breakup reaction at 170 MeV. The polarized proton beam of 170 MeV was injected to the deuterated polyethylene (CD2) target and the energy of scattered neutrons were deduce by TOF method. The data was compared with the results of the Faddeev calculations with and without 3NFs. Concerning about the differential cross sections, we can see large discrepancies between the data and the calculations in the region where the energies of scattered neutrons are low, which are similar to the results of the 2H(p, p) inclusive breakup reaction at 250 MeV.  相似文献

A simple quark model for two-body hadronic amplitudes is presented and applied to pp (pp) and K±p elastic scattering. Hadronic processes are described in terms of quark-quark scattering, using Glauber theory to take into account the effects of multiple scattering. Exchange degenerate Regge poles are introduced at the quark level. A predictive model for Regge cuts is obtained. It has some features in common with the dual absorption model in its correlation of dip structure and shrinkage in elastic processes with the exoticity of the s-channel but also significant differences, for example in the interpretation of the pp dip. The qualitatively different structure in the pp differential cross section is also reproduced. It breaks exchange degeneracy in a well-defined way and in doing so offers an explanation of the differences between pp and K+p total cross sections. The difference in their differential cross sections is a natural consequence of the model and structure similar to the pp structure is predicted to appear in the K+p differential cross section in the region t ≈ ?2(GeV/c)2.  相似文献

Data published in the literature on various photonuclear reactions for the 20,22Ne isotopes and for their natural mixture are analyzed with the aim of exploring special features of the decay of giant-dipole-resonance states in these two isotopes. With the aid of data on the abundances of the isotopes and on the energy reaction thresholds, the cross sections for the reactions 20,22Ne[(γ, n)+(γ, np)] and 20,22Ne[(γ, p)+(γ, np)] are broken down into the contributions from the one-nucleon reactions (γ, n) and (γ, p) and the contributions from the reactions (γ, np). The cross sections for the reactions 20,22Ne(γ, n)19,21Ne and 20,22Ne(γ, p)19,21F in the energy range E γ=16.0–28.0 MeV and the cross sections for the reactions 20,22Ne(γ, np)18,20F in the energy range E γ=23.3–28.0 MeV are estimated. The behavior of the cross-section ratio r=σ(γ, p)/σ(γ, n) for the 22Ne nucleus as a function of energy is analyzed, and the isospin components of the giant dipole resonance in the 22Ne nucleus are identified. The contributions of the isospin components of the giant dipole resonance in the 22Ne nucleus to the cross sections for various photonuclear reactions are determined on the basis of an analysis of the diagram of the excitation and decay of pure isospin states in the 22Ne nucleus and in nuclei neighboring it, which are members of the corresponding isospin multiplets. The isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance and the ratio of the intensities of the isospin components are determined to be ΔE=4.57±0.69 MeV and R=0.24±0.04, respectively.  相似文献

The differential cross sections for K?p and pp elastic scattering have been measured over the range of four-momentum transfer squared 0.18<?t<3.3 (GeV/c)2. The K?p data decrease smoothly as a function of ?t, whereas, the pp data shows a break at ?t = 0.6 (GeV/c)2 followed by a fast drop to ?t ? 1.6 (GeV/c)2 where the differential cross section levels off and stays constant out to ?t = 3 (GeV/c)2.  相似文献

The nuclear reactions induced by thermal and 2 keV neutrons on22Na radioactive nucleus were studied. For the thermal neutrons a more accurate value of22Na (n,p)22Ne reaction cross section was obtained. A weak proton transition to the22Ne ground state was observed. The upper limits of cross sections for thermal neutron induced (n,∞) reaction and (n, p) reaction with 2 keV neut·rons are given.  相似文献
