Li4Ti5O12 (LTO) was synthesized with two different cooling methods by solid-state method, namely fast cooling and air cooling. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), galvanostatic charge–discharge test, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), respectively. XRD revealed that the basic LTO structure was not changed. FESEM images showed that fast cooling effectively reduced the particle sizes and the agglomeration of particles. Galvanostatic charge–discharge test showed that the air cooling sample exhibited a mediocre performance, having an initial discharge capacity of 136.3mAh?·?g?1 at 0.5 C; however, the fast cooling sample demonstrated noticeable improvement in both of its discharge capacity and rate capability, with a high initial capacity value of 142.7 mAh?·?g?1 at 0.5 C. CV measurements also revealed that fast cooling enhanced the reversibility of the LTO. EIS confirmed that fast cooling resulted in lower electrochemical polarization and a higher lithium-ion diffusion coefficient. Therefore, fast cooling have a great impact on discharge capacity, rate capability, and cycling performance of LTO anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Li4Ti5O12/Cu2O composite was prepared by ball milling Li4Ti5O12 and Cu2O with further heat treatment. The structure and electrochemical performance of the composite were investigated via X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic charge–discharge tests. Li4Ti5O12/Cu2O composite exhibited much better rate capability and capacity performance than pristine Li4Ti5O12. The discharge capacity of the composite at 2 C rate reached up to 122.4 mAh g?1 after 300 cycles with capacity retention of 91.3 %, which was significantly higher than that of the pristine Li4Ti5O12 (89.6 mAh g?1). The improvement can be ascribed to the Cu2O modification. In addition, Cu2O modification plays an important role in reducing the total resistance of the cell, which has been demonstrated by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis.  相似文献

A dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 was fabricated and employed as anode materials of lithium ion batteries (LIBs). The architecture and electrochemical performance of dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 were investigated through structure characterization and galvanostatic charge/discharge test. The as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 consisted of well-distributed nanoneedles (about 40 nm in width and about 5 μm in length) with rich micropores. Electrochemical experiments illustrated that the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 as anode materials of LIBs exhibited high reversible specific capacity of 1430.0 mA h g?1 and 1013.4 mA h g?1 at the current density of 0.2 A g?1 for the first and 100th cycle, respectively. The outstanding lithium storage properties of the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 might be attributed to its dandelion-like mesoporous nanostructure together with an open space between adjacent nanoneedle networks promoting the intercalation/deintercalation of lithium ions and the charge transfer on the electrode. The enhanced capacity as well as its high-rate capability made the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 to be a good candidate as a high-performance anode material for LIBs.  相似文献

Effects of two different precipitants of Na2CO3 and Na2C2O4 on LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathode materials, which are prepared by a modified co-precipitation method, have been investigated. Various measurements have been applied to characterize the physical and electrochemical performances of LNMO. Compared with the LNMO prepared by the oxalate co-precipitation (LNMO2), the material synthesized by the carbonate co-precipitation (LNMO1) not only shows more uniform porosity and smaller particles but also has a better rate capability and cycling performance. In addition, the sample prepared by carbonate has a stable spherical structure, due to the fact that carbonate co-precipitation with less gas release during calcination can prevent the destruction of the as-prepared LNMO material structure and promote the formation of regular particle and aperture. Based on the electrochemical test results, LNMO1 shows greatly enhanced electrochemical performance of a high initial discharge capacity of 125.6 mAh g?1 at 0.25 °C, as well as a preferably capacity retention of 96.5% after 100 cycles at 0.5 °C. And even at a high rate of 10 °C, the discharge capacity of LNMO1-based cell still approaches 83.1 mAh g?1.  相似文献

LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 particles of uniform size were prepared through carbonate co-precipitation method with acacia gum. The precursor of carbonate mixture was calcined at 800 °C, and a well-crystallized Ni-rich layered oxide was got. The phase structure and morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The micro-sized particles delivered high initial discharge capacity of 164.3 mA h g?1 at 0.5 C (1 C?=?200 mA g?1) between 2.5 and 4.3 V with capacity retention of 87.5 % after 100 cycles. High reversible discharge capacities of 172.4 and 131.4 mA h g?1 were obtained at current density of 0.1 and 5 C, respectively. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were performed to further study the LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 particles. Anyway, the excellent electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 sample should be attributed to the use of acacia gum.  相似文献

The structure and morphology of sodium vanadium phosphate (Na3V2(PO4)3) play a vital role in enhancing the electrochemical performance of sodium-ion batteries due to the inherent poor electronic conductivity of the phosphate framework. In order to improve this drawback, a new chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C material has been successfully assembled with multi-hierarchical nanosheets via a hydrothermal method. Continuous scattering nanosheets in chrysanthemum petals are beneficial in reducing energy consumption during the process of sodium ion diffusion, on which the carbon-coated surface can significantly increase overall conductivity. The as-prepared sample exhibits outstanding electrochemical performance due to its unique structure. It rendered a high initial specific capacity of 117.4?mAh?g?1 at a current density of 0.05 C. Further increasing the current density to 10 C, the initial specific capacity still achieves 101.3?mAh?g?1 and remains at 87.5?mAh?g?1 after 1000 cycles. In addition, a symmetrical sodium-ion full battery using the chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C materials as both the cathode and anode has been successfully fabricated, delivering the capacity of 62?mAh?g?1 at 1?C and achieving the coulombic efficiency at an average of 96.4% within 100 cycles. These results indicate that the new chrysanthemum-structured Na3V2(PO4)3/C can provide a new idea for the development of high-performance sodium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Layered lithium-enriched nickel manganese oxides Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 have been synthesized and coated by fast ionic conductor Li3VO4 with varying amounts (1, 3, and 5 wt%) in this paper. The effect of Li3VO4 on the physical and electrochemical properties of Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 has been discussed through the characterizations of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), discharge, cyclic performance, rate capability, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The discharge capacity and coulomb efficiency of Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 in the first cycle have been improved after Li3VO4 coating. And, the 3 wt% Li3VO4-coated Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 shows the best discharge capacity (246.8 mAh g?1), capacity retention (97.3 % for 50 cycles), and rate capability (90.4 mAh g?1 at 10 C). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) results show that the R ct of Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 electrode decreases after Li3VO4 coating, which is due to high lithium ion diffusion coefficient of Li3VO4, is responsible for superior rate capability.  相似文献

In order to improve the rate capability of Li4Ti5O12, Ti4O7 powder was successfully fabricated by improved hydrogen reduction method, then a dual-phase composite Li4Ti5O12/Ti4O7 has been synthesized as anode material for lithium-ion batteries. It is found that the Li4Ti5O12/Ti4O7 composite shows higher reversible capacity and better rate capability compared to Li4Ti5O12. According to the charge-discharge tests, the Li4Ti5O12/Ti4O7 composite exhibits excellent rate capability of 172.3 mAh g?1 at 0.2 C, which is close to the theoretical value of the spinel Li4Ti5O12. More impressively, the reversible capacity of Li4Ti5O12/Ti4O7 composite is 103.1 mAh g?1 at the current density of 20 C after 100th cycles, and it maintains 84.8% of the initial discharge capacity, whereas that of the bare spinel Li4Ti5O12 is only 22.3 mAh g?1 with a capacity retention of 31.1%. The results indicate that Li4Ti5O12/Ti4O7 composite could be a promising anode material with relative high capacity and good rate capability for lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Three-dimensional hierarchical Co3O4@C hollow microspheres (Co3O4@C HSs) are successfully fabricated by a facile and scalable method. The Co3O4@C HSs are composed of numerous Co3O4 nanoparticles uniformly coated by a thin layer of carbon. Due to its stable 3D hierarchical hollow structure and uniform carbon coating, the Co3O4@C HSs exhibit excellent electrochemical performance as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The Co3O4@C HSs electrode delivers a high reversible specific capacity, excellent cycling stability (1672 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A g?1 and 842.7 mAh g?1 after 600 cycles at 1 A g?1), and prominent rate performance (580.9 mAh g?1 at 5 A g?1). The excellent electrochemical performance makes this 3D hierarchical Co3O4@C HS a potential candidate for the anode materials of the next-generation LIBs. In addition, this simple synthetic strategy should also be applicable for synthesizing other 3D hierarchical metal oxide/C composites for energy storage and conversion.  相似文献

A series of spherical LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 cathode materials were synthesized through co-oxidation-controlled crystallization method followed by solid-state reaction at different calcination temperatures under oxygen flowing. The crystal structure and particles morphology of the as-prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. All samples correspond to the layered α-NaFeO2 structure with R-3m space group. The LiNi0.8Co0.15Ti0.05O2 prepared at 800 °C presents a better hexagonal ordering structure and better spherical particles and possesses a high tap density of 3.22 g cm?3. Meanwhile, the NCT-2 sample exhibits an advanced electrochemical performance with an initial discharge capacity of 174.2 mAh g?1 and capacity retention of 86.7 % after 30 cycles at 0.2 C.  相似文献

A Co3O4/vapor-grown carbon fiber (VGCF) hybrid material is prepared by a facile approach, namely, via liquid-phase carbonate precipitation followed by thermal decomposition of the precipitate at 380 °C for 2 h in argon gas flow. The material is characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller specific surface area analysis, and carbon elemental analysis. The Co3O4 in the hybrid material exhibits the morphology of porous submicron secondary particles which are self assembled from enormous cubic-phase crystalline Co3O4 nanograins. The electrochemical performance of the hybrid as a high-capacity conversion-type anode material for lithium-ion batteries is investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and galvanostatic discharge/charge methods. The hybrid material demonstrates high specific capacity, good rate capability, and good long-term cyclability, which are far superior to those of the pristine Co3O4 material prepared under similar conditions. For example, the reversible charge capacities of the hybrid can reach 1100–1150 mAh g?1 at a lower current density of 0.1 or 0.2 A g?1 and remain 600 mAh g?1 at the high current density of 5 A g?1. After 300 cycles at 0.5 A g?1, a high charge capacity of 850 mAh g?1 is retained. The enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to the incorporated VGCFs as well as the porous structure and the smaller nanograins of the Co3O4 active material.  相似文献

By employment of nano-sized pre-prepared Mn3O4 as precursor, LiMn2O4 particles have been successfully prepared by facile solid state method and sol-gel route, respectively. And the reaction mechanism of the used precursors of Mn3O4 is studied. The structure, morphology, and element distribution of the as-synthesized LiMn2O4 samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Compared with LiMn2O4 synthesized by facile solid state method (SS-LMO), LiMn2O4 synthesized by modified sol-gel route (SG-LMO) possesses higher crystallinity, smaller average particle size (~175 nm), higher lithium chemical diffusion coefficient (1.17 × 10?11 cm2 s?1), as well as superior electrochemical performance. For example, the cell based on SG-LMO can deliver a capacity of 85.5 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 5 °C, and manifests 88.3% capacity retention after 100 cycles at 0.5 °C when cycling at 45 °C. The good electrochemical performance of the cell based on SG-LMO is ascribed mainly to its small particle size, high degree of dispersion, and uniform element distribution in bulk material. In addition, the lower polarization potential accelerates Li+ ion migration, and the lower atom location confused degree maintains integrity of crystal structure, both of which can effectively improve the rate capability and cyclability of SG-LMO.  相似文献

Hierarchical Na2FeP2O7 spheres with nanoparticles were successfully fabricated by a facile spray drying method. A relatively low drying temperature was introduced in order to form a carbon layer on the surface. As a cathode material for sodium-ion batteries, it delivered a reversible capacity of 84.4 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C and showed excellent cycling and rate performance (64.7 mAh g?1 at 5 C). Furthermore, a full sodium battery was fabricated using SP-Na2FeP2O7 as the cathode and hard carbon as the anode, suffering almost no capacity loss after 400 cycles at 1 C. Due to its superior electrochemical property and the low materials cost, Na2FeP2O7 is becoming a promising cathode material for large-scale energy storage systems.  相似文献

V2O5 nanoneedle arrays were grown directly on titanium (Ti) substrate by a facile solvothermal route followed with calcination at 350 °C for 2 h. The as-prepared V2O5 nanoneedles are about 50 nm in diameter and 800 nm in length. The electrochemical behavior of V2O5 nanoarrays as binder-free cathode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic discharge/charge tests. Compared with V2O5 powder electrode, V2O5 nanoneedle arrays electrode exhibited improved electrochemical performance in terms of high discharge capacity of 262.5 mA h g?1 between 2.0 and 4.0 V at 0.2 C, and high capacity retention up to 77.1% after 100 cycles. Under a high current rate of 2 C, a discharge capacity of about 175.6 mA h g?1 can be maintained. The enhanced performance are mainly due to the intimate contact between V2O5 nanoneedle active material and current collector, which enable shortened electron transfer pathway and improved charge transfer kinetics, demonstrating their potential applications in high rate electrochemical storage devices.  相似文献

To suppress the capacity fade of Li-rich Li1.2Ni0.13Co0.13Mn0.54O2 material as cathode materials for lithium-ion battery, we introduce a LiF coating layer on the surface to improve the cycling performance of Li1.2Ni0.13Co0.13Mn0.54O2 material. The modified sample shows a capacity of 163.2 mAh g?1 with a capacity retention of 95% after 100 cycles at a current density of 250 mA g?1, while the pristine sample only delivers a capacity of 129.9 mAh g?1 with a capacity retention of 82%. Compared with the pristine material, the LiF-modified sample exhibits an obvious enhancement in the electrochemical performance, which will be very beneficial for this material to be commercialized on the new energy vehicles and other related areas.  相似文献

ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes were directly grown on Ni foam via a two-step facile strategy, involving cathodic electrolytic electrodeposition (ELD) method and followed by a thermal annealing treatment step. The results of physical characterizations exhibit that the mesoporous ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes have large electroactive surface areas (138.8 m2 g?1) and acceptable physical stability with the Ni foam, providing fast electron and ion transport sites. The ZnCo2O4 nanoflakes on Ni foam were directly used as integrated electrodes for supercapacitors and their electrochemical properties were measured in 2 M KOH aqueous solution. The ZnCo2O4 nanoflake electrode exhibits a high capacitance of 1781.7 F g?1 at a current density of 5 A g?1 and good rate capability (62% capacity retention at 50 A g?1). Also, an excellent cycling ability at various current densities from 5 to 50 A g?1 was obtained and 92% of the initial capacitance maintained after 4000 cycles. The results demonstrate that the proposed synthesis route is cost-effective and facile and can be developed for preparation of electrode materials in other electrochemical supercapacitors.  相似文献

A simple one-step solid state reaction way of preparing nanosized LiMn2O4 powders with high-rate properties is investigated. Oxalic acid is used as a functional material to lose volatile gases during the process of calcining in order to control the morphology and change the particle size of materials. The results of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy show that particle size of materials decreases with the increase of the oxalic acid content. The electrochemical test results indicate that optimal LiMn2O4 particles (S0.5) is synthesized when the molar ratios of oxalic acid and total Mn source are 0.5:1. It also manifests that LiMn2O4 sample with middle size has the optimal electrochemical performance among five samples instead of the smallest LiMn2O4 sample. The obtained sample S0.5 with middle size exhibits a high initial discharge capacity of 125.8 mAh g?1 at 0.2C and 91.4% capacity retention over 100 cycles at 0.5C, superior to any one of other samples. In addition, when cycling at the high rate of 10C, the optimal S0.5 in this work could still reach a discharge capacity of 80.8 mAh g?1. This observation can be addressed to the fact that the middle size particles balance the contradictory of diffusion length in solid phase and particle agglomeration, which leads to perfect contacts with the conductive additive, considerable apparent Li-ion diffusion rate, and the optimal performance of S0.5.  相似文献

High-quality monodisperse multiporous hierarchical micro/nanostructured ZnCo2O4 microspheres have been fabricated by calcinating the Zn1/3Co2/3CO3 precursor prepared by urea-assisted solvothermal method. The as-prepared products are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) measurement to study the crystal phase and morphology. When tested as anode material for lithium ion batteries, the multiporous ZnCo2O4 microspheres exhibit an initial discharge capacity of 1,369 mAh g?1 (3,244.5 F cm?3) and retain stable capacity of 800 mAh g?1 (1,896 F cm?3) after 30 cycles. It should be noted that the good electrochemical performances can be attributed to the porous structure composed of interconnected nanoscale particles, which can promote electrolyte diffusion and reduce volume change during discharge/charge processes. More importantly, this ZnCo2O4 3D hierarchical structures provide a large number of active surface position for Li+ diffusion, which may contribute to the improved electrochemical performance towards lithium storage.  相似文献

A facile sol-gel approach for the synthesis of lithium titanate composite decorated with N-doped carbon material (LTO/NC) is proposed. Urea is used as a nitrogen source in the proposed approach. The LTO/NC exhibits superior electrochemical performances as an electrode material for lithium-ion batteries, delivering a discharge capacity of as high as 103 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 20 C and retaining a stable reversible capacity of 90 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles, corresponding to 100% capacity retention. These excellent electrochemical performances are proved by the nanoscale structure and N-doped carbon coating. NC layers were uniformly dispersed on the surface of LTO, thus preventing agglomeration, favoring the rapid migration of the inserted Li ion, and increasing the Li+ diffusion coefficient and electronic conductivity. LTO with the appropriate amount of NC coating is a promising anode material with applications in the development of high-powered and durable lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) is investigated as the electrolyte additive to improve the electrochemical performance of high voltage LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathode material. Compared to LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2/Li cells in blank electrolyte, the capacity retention of the cells with 5 wt% FEC in electrolytes after 80 times charge-discharge cycle between 3.0 and 4.5 V significantly improve from 82.0 to 89.7%. Besides, the capacity of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2/Li only obtains 12.6 mAh g?1 at 5 C in base electrolyte, while the 5 wt% FEC in electrolyte can reach a high capacity of 71.3 mAh g?1 at the same rate. The oxidative stability of the electrolyte with 5 wt% FEC is evaluated by linear sweep voltammetry and potentiostatic data. The LSV results show that the oxidation potential of the electrolytes with FEC is higher than 4.5 V vs. Li/Li+, while the oxidation peaks begin to appear near 4.3 V in the electrolyte without FEC. In addition, the effect of FEC on surface of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 is elucidated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The analysis result indicates that FEC facilitates the formation of a more stable surface film on the LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 cathode. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) result evidences that the stable surface film could improve cathode electrolyte interfacial resistance. These results demonstrate that the FEC can apply as an additive for 4.5 V high voltage electrolyte system in LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2/Li cells.  相似文献
