FePO4·xH2O/graphene oxide (FePO4·xH2O/GO) composites were prepared by a facile chemical precipitation method. Using the as-prepared FePO4·xH2O/GO and LiOH·H2O as precursors and followed by carbothermal reduction, LiFePO4/graphene composites were obtained. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images indicated that the graphene had very good dispersity and uniformly attached to the LiFePO4 particles. The conductive framework of graphene improved the electrochemical properties of the composites. The composites deliver high initial discharge capacity of 163.4 mAh g?1 as well as outstanding rate performance.  相似文献

Co3O4 nanoplate/graphene sheet composites were prepared through a two-step synthetic method. The composite material as prepared was characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The platelet-like morphology of Co3O4 leads to a layer-by-layer-assembled structure of the composites and a good dispersion of Co3O4 nanoplates on the surface of graphene sheets. The electrochemical characteristics indicate that the specific capacitance of the composites is 337.8 F?g?1 in comparison with the specific capacitance of 204.4 F?g?1 without graphene sheets. Meanwhile, the composites have an excellent rate capability and cycle performance. The results show that the unique microstructure of the composites enhances the electrochemical capacitive performance of Co3O4 nanoplates due to the three-dimensional network of graphene sheets for electron transport increasing electric conductivity of the electrode and providing unobstructed pathways for ionic transport during the electrochemical reaction.  相似文献

In this paper, a composite of reduced graphene oxide decorated by Co3O4 hollow spheres (Co3O4/RGO composite) has been synthesized by a one-pot solvothermal method. The samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman spectra and so on. The results demonstrate that the Co3O4 hollow spheres with good purity and homogenous size are absorbed onto the reduced graphene oxide sheets as spacers to prevent the aggregation of the graphene oxide sheets. Furthermore, the well electrochemical properties demonstrate that the Co3O4/RGO composite might have potential applications as electrode materials for supercapacitors.  相似文献

Carbon-coated olivine-structured LiFePO4/C composites are synthesized via an efficient and low-cost carbothermal reduction method using Fe2O3 as iron source at a relative low temperature (600 °C). The effects of two kinds of carbon sources, inorganic (acetylene black) and organic (sucrose), on the structures, morphologies, and lithium storage properties of LiFePO4/C are evaluated in details. The particle size and distribution of the carbon-coated LiFePO4 from sucrose (LiFePO4/SUC) are more uniform than that obtained from acetylene black (LiFePO4/AB). Moreover, the LiFePO4/SUC nanocomposite shows superior electrochemical properties such as high discharge capacity of 156 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C, excellent cyclic stability, and rate capability (78 mAh g?1 at 20 C), as compared to LiFePO4/AB. Cyclic voltammetric test discloses that the Li-ion diffusion, the reversibility of lithium extraction/insertion, and electrical conductivity are significantly improved in LiFePO4/SUC composite. It is believed that olivine-structured LiFePO4 decorated with carbon from organic carbon source (sucrose) using Fe2O3 is a promising cathode for high-power lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Cerium oxide nanoparticles and cerium oxide nanoparticle-decorated graphene oxide (GO) are synthesized via a facile chemical coprecipitation method in the presence of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). Nanostructure studies and electrochemical performances of the as-prepared samples were systematically investigated. The crystalline structure and morphology of the nanocomposites were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transition electron microscopy (TEM), Raman spectrum, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Electrochemical properties of the CeO2 electrode, the GO electrode, and the nanocomposites electrodes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The CeO2 nanoparticle-decorated GO (at the mole ratio of CeO2/GO = 1:4) electrode exhibited excellent supercapacitive behavior with a high specific capacitance of 382.94 F/g at the current density of 3.0 A/g. These superior electrochemical features demonstrate that the CeO2 nanoparticle-decorated GO is a promising material for next-generation supercapacitor systems.  相似文献

Among the several materials under development for use as a cathodes in lithium-ion batteries olivine-type LiFePO4 is one of the most promising cathode material. However, its poor conductivity and low lithium-ion diffusion limits its practical application. In this study, we report seven different carboxylic acids used to synthesize LiFePO4/C composite, and influences of carbon sources on electrochemical performance were intensively studied. The structure and electrochemical properties of the LiFePO4/C were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, electrical conductivity, and galvanostatic charge–discharge measurements. Among the materials studied, the sample E with tartaric acid as carbon source exhibited the best cell performance with a maximum discharge capacity of 160 mAh g−1 at a 0.1 C-rate. The improved electrochemical properties were attributed to the reduced particle size and enhanced electrical contacts by carbon.  相似文献

Grinding, general incipient wetness and competitive incipient wetness were investigated on the preparation of LiFePO4/C (LFP) composites from precipitated FePO4 precursor. This article focuses on the fundamental details of mixing processes for LFP production, of which the literature is sparse. The structure features of LiFePO4/C composites were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), while the morphologies were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The electrochemical performances were studied by galvanostatic charge/discharge measurements. Both mixing processes and lithium sources are capable of affecting the electrochemical performances by altering the crystallinity, the quality of carbon coating, or even the impurity formation of LiFePO4/C composites. Liquid alkalis caused the formation of impurities and mild decrease of crystallinity, whereas competitive cations did not produce impurities but significantly decreased the crystallinity of LiFePO4/C composites.  相似文献

Preparing spherical particles with carbon additive is considered as one effective way to improve both high rate performance and tap density of Li4Ti5O12 and LiFePO4 materials. Spherical Li4Ti5O12/C and LiFePO4/C composites are prepared by spray-drying–solid-state reaction method and controlled crystallization–carbothermal reduction method, respectively. The X-ray diffraction characterization, scanning electron microscope, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, alternating current impedance analyzing, tap density testing, and electrochemical property measurements are investigated. After hybridizing carbon with a proper quantity, the crystal grain size of active materials is remarkably decreased and the electrochemical properties are obviously improved. The Li4Ti5O12/C and LiFePO4/C composites prepared in this work are spherical. The tap density and the specific surface area are as high as 1.71 g cm−3 and 8.26 m2 g−1 for spherical Li4Ti5O12/C, which are 1.35 g cm−3 and 18.86 m2 g−1 for spherical LiFePO4/C powders. Between 1.0 and 3.0 V versus Li, the reversible specific capacity of the Li4Ti5O12/C is more than 150 mAh g−1 at 1.0-C rate. Between 2.5 and 4.2 V versus Li, the reversible capacity of the LiFePO4/C is close to 140 mAh g−1 at 1.0-C rate.  相似文献

Carbon-coated olivine-structured LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4 solid solution was synthesized by a facile rheological phase method and applied as cathode materials of lithium-ion batteries. The nanostructure’s properties, such as morphology, component, and crystal structure for the samples, characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller (BET) determination, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and the electrochemical performances were evaluated using constant current charge/discharge tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results indicate that nanoplatelet- and nanorod-structured LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4/C composites were separately obtained using stearic acid or polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG400) as carbon source, and the surfaces of particles for the two samples are ideally covered by full and uniform carbon layer, which is beneficial to improving the electrochemical behaviors. Electrochemical tests verify that the nanoplatelet LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4/C shows a better capacity capability, delivering a discharge specific capacity of 133.8, 112.1, 98.3, and 74.4 mAh g?1 at 0.1, 0.5, 1, and 5 C rate (1 C?=?150 mA g?1); the corresponding cycle number is 5th, 11th, 15th, 20th, and 30th, respectively, whereas the nanorod one possesses more excellent cycling ability, with a discharge capacity of 83.3 mAh g?1 and capacity retention of 86.9% still maintained after cycling for 100 cycles at 0.5 C. Results from the present study demonstrate that the LiFe0.5Co0.5PO4 solid solution nanomaterials with favorable carbon coating effect combine the characteristics and advantage of LiFePO4 and LiCoPO4, thus displaying a tremendous potential as cathode of lithium-ion battery.  相似文献

This paper describes the preparation and characterization of a high-voltage lithium-ion battery based on Sn-decorated reduced graphene oxide and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 as the anode and cathode active materials, respectively. The Sn-decorated reduced graphene oxide is prepared using a microwave-assisted hydrothermal synthesis method followed by reduction at high temperature of a mixture of (C6H5)2SnCl2 and graphene oxide. The so-obtained anode material is characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and electron diffraction spectroscopy. The LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 is a commercially available product. The two materials are used to prepare composite electrodes, and their electrochemical properties are investigated by galvanostatic charge/discharge cycles at various current densities in lithium cells. The electrodes are then used to assemble a high-voltage lithium-ion cell, and the cell is tested to evaluate its performance as a function of discharge rate and cycle number.  相似文献

High molecular weight polymer poly(vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVdF-HFP), ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (EMIMFSI), and salt lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (LiTFSI)-based free-standing and conducting ionic liquid-based gel polymer electrolytes (ILGPE) have been prepared by solution cast method. Thermal, electrical, and electrochemical properties of 80 wt% IL containing gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) are investigated by thermogravimetric (TGA), impedance spectroscopy, linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The 80 wt% IL containing GPE shows good thermal stability (~?200 °C), ionic conductivity (6.42?×?10?4 S cm?1), lithium ion conductivity (1.40?×?10?4 S cm?1 at 30 °C), and wide electrochemical stability window (~?4.10 V versus Li/Li+ at 30 °C). Furthermore, the surface of LiFePO4 cathode material was modified by graphene oxide, with smooth and uniform coating layer, as confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and with element content, as confirmed by energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrum. The graphene oxide-coated LiFePO4 cathode shows improved electrochemical performance with a good charge-discharge capacity and cyclic stability up to 50 cycles at 1C rate, as compared with the without coated LiFePO4. At 30 °C, the discharge capacity reaches a maximum value of 104.50 and 95.0 mAh g?1 for graphene oxide-coated LiFePO4 and without coated LiFePO4 at 1C rate respectively. These results indicated improved electrochemical performance of pristine LiFePO4 cathode after coating with graphene oxide.  相似文献

A flexible Co3O4 hollow microsphere/graphene/carbon nanotube hybrid film is successfully prepared through a facile filtration strategy and a subsequent thermally treated process. The composition, morphology, and structure of the as-prepared film are characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. Based on the morphology characterizations on the hybrid film, the Co3O4 hollow microspheres are uniformly and closely attached on three-dimensional (3D) graphene/carbon nanotubes (GR/CNTs) network, which decreases the agglomeration of Co3O4 microspheres effectively. In this hybrid film, the 3D GR/CNT network which enhances conductance as well as prevents aggregation is a benefit to help Co3O4 to exert its lithium storage capabilities sufficiently. When used as a binder-free anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the hybrid film delivers excellent electrochemical properties involving reversible capacity (863 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1) and rate performance (185 mAh g?1 at a current density of 1600 mA g?1).  相似文献

LiFePO4/C nanocomposites are synthesized by a propylene oxide-assisted fast sol–gel method using FeCl3, LiNO3, NH4H2PO4, and sucrose as the starting materials. It was found that after adding propylene oxide into the solution containing the starting materials, a monolithic jelly-like FePO4 gel containing lithium and carbon source is generated in a few minutes without controlling the pH value of the solution and a time-consuming heating process. Propylene oxide plays a key role in the fast generation of the precursor gel. The final products of LiFePO4/C are obtained by sintering the dry precursor gel. The structures, micro-morphologies, and electrochemical properties of the LiFePO4/C composites are investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen adsorption–desorption analysis, electrochemical impedance spectrum, and charge–discharge cycling tests. The results indicate that the LiFePO4/C composite prepared by sintering the precursor gel at 680 °C for 5 h is about 30 nm in size with a meso-porous structure (the main pore size distribution is around 3.4 nm). It delivers 166.7 and 105.8 mAh g?1 at 0.2 and 30 C, respectively. The discharge specific capacity is 97.8 mAh g?1 even at 40 C. The cycling performance of the prepared LiFePO4/C composite is stable. The excellent electrochemical performance of the LiFePO4/C composite is attributed to the nano-sized and mesoporous structure of LiFePO4/C and the in-situ surface coating of the carbon. It was also found that propylene oxide is crucial for the generation of mesoporous and nano-structured LiFePO4/C.  相似文献

LiFePO4-positive electrode material was successfully synthesized by a solid-state method, and the effect of storage temperatures on kinetics of lithium-ion insertion for LiFePO4-positive electrode material was investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The charge-transfer resistance of LiFePO4 electrode decreases with increasing the storage temperatures. This suggests that it has a high electrochemical activity at high temperature. The diffusion coefficient of lithium ion is greatly increased with increasing the storage temperatures, indicating that the kinetics of Li+ and electron transfer into the electrodes were much fast at high storage temperature.  相似文献

Sn and SnO2-graphene composites were synthesized using hydrothermal process, followed by annealing in Ar/H2 atmosphere, and characterized using x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transition electron microscopy. The results indicated that the polycrystalline metallic Sn forms nanospheres with a diameter of 100?~?300 nm, while the SnO2 nanoparticles are much smaller with a size below 15 nm, which adsorb tightly on the surface of graphene sheets. The Sn and SnO2-gaphene composites showed good electrochemical performance. After 55 charging/discharging cycles, the capacity remains above 440 mAh/g at a cycling rate of 400 mA/g and the coulombic efficiency is 99.1 %. The good electrochemical properties of the composites are partially contributed to the graphene component with good mechanical flexibility and electrical conductivity, which is an excellent carbon matrix for dispersing the Sn and SnO2 nanostructures and provides the electron transport pathways as well.  相似文献

Hierarchical lithium iron phosphate/carbon (LiFePO4/C) microspheres were fabricated successfully using a facile spray drying-assisted coprecipitation method. A relatively short calcination time and a relatively low calcination temperature were adopted to prepare the hierarchical LiFePO4/C microspheres. The hierarchical microspheres consisted of nanoparticles with a uniform coating of amorphous carbon. The thickness of the carbon layer was controlled by the addition of glucose. The hierarchical LiFePO4/C microspheres exhibited a high tap density and a large specific surface area. The electrochemical properties of the sample were investigated. The sample exhibited a better rate capability and a better cyclability than the coral-like LiFePO4/C cathode material, and these were ascribed to the highly uniform carbon coating and the self-assembled nanoparticles.  相似文献

The olivine-type LiFe1-x Y x PO4/C (x?=?0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05) products were prepared through liquid-phase precipitation reaction combined with the high-temperature solid-state method. The structure, morphology, and electrochemical performance of the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), galvanostatic charge-discharge, cyclic voltammetry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). We found that the small amount of Y3+ ion-doped can keep the microstructure of LiFePO4, modify the particle morphology, decrease charge transfer resistance, and enhance exchange current density, thus enhance the electrochemical performance of the LiFePO4/C. However, the large doping content of Y3+ ion cannot be completely doped into LiFePO4 lattice, but existing partly in the form of YPO4. The electrochemical performance of LiFePO4/C was restricted owing to YPO4. Among all the doped samples, LiFe0.98Y0.02PO4/C showed the best electrochemical performance. The LiFe0.98Y0.02PO4/C sample exhibited the initial discharge capacity of 166.7, 155.8, 148.2, 139.8, and 121.1 mAh g?1 at a rate of 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, and 5 C, respectively. And, the discharge capacity of the material was 119.6 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at 5 C rates.  相似文献

Nitrogen-doped carbon nanofiber (NCNF) decorated LiFePO4 (LFP) composites are synthesized via an in situ hydrothermal growth method. Electrochemical performance results show that the embedded NCNF can improve electron and ion transfer, thereby resulting in excellent cycling performance. The as-prepared LFP and NCNF composites exhibit excellent electrochemical properties with discharge capacities of 188.9 mAh g?1 (at 0.2 C) maintained at 167.9 mAh g?1 even after 200 charge/discharge cycles. The electrode also presents a good rate capability of 10 C and a reversible specific capacity as high as 95.7 mAh g?1. LFP composites are a potential alternative high-performing anode material for lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

Ag is introduced to the surface of LiFePO4 prepared from liquid phase and heated at different temperatures. SEM, XRD and electrochemical characterization are used to compare the differences between LiFePO4 and LiFePO4/Ag. The results are discussed from the viewpoint of impedance of the cathode composite. With increase of the particle size, Ag shows stronger function as conductor in the composites.  相似文献

Three-dimensional fabricated Fe3O4 quantum dots/graphene aerogel materials (Fe3O4 QDs/GA) were obtained from a facile hydrothermal strategy, followed by a subsequently heat treatment process. The Fe3O4 QDs (2–5 nm) are anchored tightly and dispersed uniformly on the surface of three-dimensional GA. The as-prepared anode materials exhibit a high reversible capacity of 1078 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 after 70 cycles in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) system. Moreover, the rate capacity still remains 536 mAh g?1 at 1000 mA g?1. The enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to that the GA not only acts as a three-dimensional electronic conductive matrix for the fast transportation of Li+ and electrons, but also provides with double protection against the aggregation and pulverization of Fe3O4 QDs during cycling. Apparently, the synergistic effects of the three-dimensional GA and the quantum dots are fully utilized. Therefore, the Fe3O4 QDs/GA composites are promising materials as advanced anode materials for LIBs.  相似文献
