An exact calculation of the spontaneous magnetization of a spin-one Ising model with the inclusion of biquadratic exchange and single ion anisotropy on the Bethe lattice is presented. The magnetization curves exhibit some unusual features as the relative strength of the single ion anisotropy is varied.  相似文献

The totally antiferromagnetic Ising model is analyzed on a bilayer Bethe lattice in detail by studying the order-parameters, response functions, i.e. susceptibility and specific heat, and free energy by using the recursion relations in a pairwise approach. The ground state phase diagrams of the model are also obtained on the (J2/|J1|,J3/q|J1|)(J2/|J1|,J3/q|J1|) plane for given values of H/q|J1|H/q|J1| and on the (H/q|J1|,J3/q|J1|)(H/q|J1|,J3/q|J1|) plane for given J2/|J1|J2/|J1|. As a result, we have obtained the temperature-dependent phase diagrams for various values of the coordination number q   on the (J3/|J1|,kT/|J1|)(J3/|J1|,kT/|J1|) and (H/|J1|,kT/|J1|)(H/|J1|,kT/|J1|) planes for given values of the rest of the system parameters.  相似文献

We prove that the disordered Gibbs distribution in the ferromagnetic Ising model on the Bethe lattice is extreme forTT c SG , whereT c SG is the critical temperature of the spin glass model on the Bethe lattice, and it is not extreme forT c SG .  相似文献

Using an iteration technique, we obtain exact expressions for the free energy and the magnetization of an Ising model on a two-layer Bethe lattice with intralayer coupling constants J1 and J2 for the first and the second layer, respectively, and interlayer coupling constant J3 between the two layers; the Ising spins also couple with external magnetic fields, which are different in the two layers. We obtain exact phase diagrams for the system and find that when /J3/-->0, DeltaT(c) identical with[T(c)(J3)-T(c)(0)]/T(c)(0) approximately [J3]/J(1)/(1/psi), where T(c)(J3) is the phase-transition temperature for the system with interlayer coupling constant J3 and the shift exponent psi is 1 for J(1)=J(2) and is 0.5 for J1 not equal to J2. Such results are consistent with predictions of a scaling theory. We also derive equations for DeltaT(c) when /J3/ approaches infinity.  相似文献

The spin-one Ising ferromagnet on a simple cubic lattice is treated in the mean-spherical approximation (MSA) for an exchange potentialJ(r) parametrized by a Kac-Baker inverse-range parameter γ. The mean-field result is recovered when γ 0; in this limit the result is exact. For γ 0, a detailed analysis is given of the phase separation associated with the tricritical point that occurs. The analysis is made through the relation that gives the internal energy viaJ(r). It shows that the MSA result satisfactorily captures the important thermodynamic features of the tricritical point as long as γ is not too large. The case of CoulombicJ(r) is also considered; hereJ(r) is antiferromagnetic. An argument is given in support of the expectation that on the simple cubic and body-centered cubic lattices the CoulombicJ(r) will give rise to a tricritical point at which a λ-line of Néel points meets a paramagnetic-antiferromagnetic coexistence boundary.  相似文献

We give a proof that for the Ising model on the Bethe lattice, the limiting Gibbs state with zero effective field (disordered state) persists to be pure for temperature below the ferromagnetic critical temperatureT c F until the critical temperatureT c SG of the corresponding spin-glass model. Two-layer Bethe lattice with the Ising spins of the top layer having only ferromagnetic (FM) interactions and the bottom layer having only antiferromagnetic (AFM) interactions are allowed to interact with the interlayer interaction of either FM or AFM type. The model is studied by using the exact recursion relations in a pairwise approach for given coordination numbers q=3, 4 and 6 with equal external magnetic fields acting on the layers. The phase diagrams of the model are obtained on different planes for given system parameters by studying the ground state (GS) phase diagrams and the thermal variations of the order-parameters and the response functions, i.e. the susceptibility and the specific heat, in detail. The model presents second- and first-order phase transitions, and where their lines are combined is the tricritical point. The critical end points also exist. The reentrant behavior is also seen when the model presents two Néel temperatures.  相似文献

The sound attenuation phenomena is investigated for a spin- 3/2 Ising model on the Bethe lattice in terms of the recursion relations by using the Onsager theory of irreversible thermodynamics. The dependencies of sound attenuation on the temperature (TT), frequency (ww), Onsager coefficient (γγ) and external magnetic field (HH) near the second-order (Tc)(Tc) and first-order (Tt)(Tt) phase transition temperatures are examined for given coordination numbers qq on the Bethe lattice. It is assumed that the sound wave couples to the order-parameter fluctuations which decay mainly via the order-parameter relaxation process, thus two relaxation times are obtained and which are used to obtain an expression for the sound attenuation coefficient (α)(α). Our investigations revealed that only one peak is obtained near TtTt and three peaks are found near TcTc when the Onsager coefficient is varied at a given constant frequency for q=3q=3. Fixing the Onsager coefficient and varying the frequency always leads to two peaks for q=3,4q=3,4 and 6 near TcTc. The sound attenuation peaks are observed near TtTt at lower values of external magnetic field, but as it increases the sound attenuation peaks decrease and eventually disappear.  相似文献

We present an exact treatment of the hysteresis behavior of the zero-temperature random-field Ising model on a Bethe lattice when it is driven by an external field and evolved according to a 2-spin-flip dynamics. We focus on lattice connectivities z=2 (the one-dimensional chain) and z=3. For the latter case, we demonstrate the existence of an out-of-equilibrium phase transition, in contrast with the situation found with the standard 1-spin-flip dynamics. We discuss the influence of the degree of cooperativity of the (local) spin dynamics of the nonequilibrium response on the system.  相似文献

The spin-1 Ising model is studied for the case of antiferromagnetic (AFM)/AFM interactions on the bilayer Bethe lattice by using the pairwise approach for several values of the coordination numbers q=3, 4 and 6 when the layers are linked with the external magnetic fields. The ground state (GS) phase diagrams, thermal variations of the order-parameters and the response functions are studied in detail to obtain the phase diagrams of the model. It was found that the system gives only one Néel temperature, TN, for q=3. Two TN's and first-order phase transition temperature, Tt, thus tricritical point, are found and the existence of two TN's leads to the reentrant behavior when q=4 and 6 for some given system parameters.  相似文献

The Ising model is studied on a new type of lattice which is named the rectangular-triangular lattice. The critical temperature for the ferromagnetic lattice is calculated exactly and it is shown that the antiferromagnetic lattice does not order at any temperature. The mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising model on the Bethe lattice with both uniaxial as well as biaxial single-ion anisotropy terms is solved exactly by combining star-triangle and triangle-star mapping transformations with exact recursion relations. Magnetic properties (magnetization, phase diagrams, and compensation phenomenon) are investigated in detail. Particular attention is focused on the effect of uniaxial and biaxial single-ion anisotropies that basically influence the magnetic behavior of the spin-1 atoms.   相似文献

The thermodynamics and the phase diagram of random field Ising model (RFIM) on Bethe lattice are studied by using a replica trick. This lattice is placed in an external magnetic field (B). A Gaussian distribution of random field (hi) with zero mean and variance hi2 = HR2F is considered. The free-energy (F ), the magnetization (M) and the order parameter (q) are investigated for several values of coordination number (z). The phase diagram shows several interesting behaviours and presents tricritical point at critical temperature TC = J/k and when HRF = 0 for finite z. The free-energy (F) values increase as T increases for different intensities of random field (HRF) and finite z. The internal energy (U) has a similar behaviour to that obtained from the Monte Carlo simulations. The ground state of magnetization decreases as the intensity of random field HRF increases. The ferromagnetic (FM)-paramagnetic (PM) phase boundary is clearly observed only when z →∞. While FM-PM-spin glass (SG) phase boundaries are present for finite z. The magnetic susceptibility (χ) shows a sharp cusp at TC in a small random field for finite z and rounded different peaks on increasing HRF.  相似文献

A bilayer spin-1/2 Ising model consisting of two superposed Bethe lattices with antiferromagnetic/ferromagnetic interactions is studied by the use of exact recursion relations in a pairwise approach in the presence of an external staggered magnetic field. Besides the ground state phase diagrams calculated in different possible planes of the model parameters space, the thermal variations of the order-parameters and the free energy are investigated to obtain the temperature-dependent phase diagrams of the model for different values of the coordination numbers q. Our calculations reveal that depending on the strength of the model parameters, the model exhibits a variety of interesting phase transitions and therefore phase diagrams.  相似文献
