A refined Brunn–Minkowski inequality for convex sets

Starting from a mass transportation proof of the Brunn–Minkowski inequality on convex sets, we improve the inequality showing a sharp estimate about the stability property of optimal sets. This is based on a Poincaré-type trace inequality on convex sets that is also proved in sharp form.     

Isoperimetric Inequalities for Random Walks

In this paper some isoperimetric problems are studied, particularly the extremal property of the mean exit time of the random walk from finite sets. This isoperimetric problem is inserted into the set of equivalent conditions of the diagonal upper estimate of transition probability of random walks on weighted graphs.     

The Oscillation Inequality of Harmonic Functions on Post Critically Finite Self-Similar Sets

In this paper we establish the oscillation inequality of harmonic functions and Hlder estimate of the functions in the domain of the Laplacian on connected post critically finite(p.c.f.) self-similar sets.     

LOCAL INEQUALITIES FOR SIDON SUMS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS

The authors consider Sidon sets of first kind. By comparing them with the Steinhaus sequence, they prove a local Khintchine-Kahane inequality on compact sets. As consequences, they prove the following results for Sidon series taking values in a Banach space: the summability on a set of positive measure implies the almost everywhere convergence; the contraction principle of Billard-Kahane remains true for Sidon series. As applications, they extend a uniqueness theorem of Zygmund concerning lacunary Fourier series and an analytic continuation theorem of Hadamard concerning lacunary Taylor series. Some of their results still hold for Sidon sets of second kind.

The Janson inequalities for general up‐sets

Janson and Janson, ?uczak and Ruciński proved several inequalities for the lower tail of the distribution of the number of events that hold, when all the events are up‐sets (increasing events) of a special form—each event is the intersection of some subset of a single set of independent events (i.e., a principal up‐set). We show that these inequalities in fact hold for arbitrary up‐sets, by modifying existing proofs to use only positive correlation, avoiding the need to assume positive correlation conditioned on one of the events. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Explicit H1-Estimate for the Solution of the Lamé System with Mixed Boundary Conditions

In this paper we consider the Lamé system on a polygonal convex domain with mixed boundary conditions of Dirichlet-Neumann type. An explicit L² norm estimate for the gradient of the solution of this problem is established. This leads to an explicit bound of the H¹ norm of this solution. Note that the obtained upper-bound is not optimal.     

Stefenssen''s inequality and estimates of error in trapezoidal rule

In this paper, a sharp estimate for a slight modification of the classical trapezoidal rule is obtained by using Stefenssen's inequality.

本文研究一类特殊的周期函数,利用Fourier级数的方法,获得了关于这类周期函数的一个积分不等式.此函数积分不等式等价于著名的关于平面两凸集混合面积的Minkowski不等式.     

Inequalities for integral means over symmetric sets

We prove that the integral of n functions over a symmetric set L in Rn, with additional properties, increases when the functions are replaced by their symmetric decreasing rearrangements. The result is known when L is a centrally symmetric convex set, and our result extends it to nonconvex sets. We deduce as consequences, inequalities for the average of a function whose level sets are of the same type as L, over measurable sets in Rn. The average of such a function on E is maximized by the average over the symmetric set E^*.     

The Brunn–Minkowski Inequality and Nonconvex Sets

We improve the Brunn–Minkowski inequality for nonconvex sets. Besides the volume of the sets, our estimate depends on the volume of the convex hull of one of the sets. The estimate is asymptotically the best possible if this set is fixed and the size of the other tends to infinity.     

Remez-type inequality on sets with cusps

A Remez-type inequality is proved for a large family of sets with cusps in R^N${\mathbb{R}}^N$, including compact, fat and semialgebraic (or subanalytic) sets.     

Cauchy测度的两类加权泛函不等式

研究了一维Cauchy分布的加权Poincaré不等式和加权log-Sobolev不等式.我们给出并证明了所给权函数的最优性,同时对不等式中的常数进行了阶的估计.     

关于内积空间中逆Cauchy-Schwarz不等式的一些结果

Some new reverses of the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in inner product spaces are presented in this paper. As an application of the main result, a formula for error estimate concerning Cauchy-Schwarz‘s inequality is provided. The results obtained in the paper complement and improve some recent work about this topic.     

An extremal property of Jacobi polynomials in two-sided Chernoff-type inequalities for higher order derivatives

For a weight function generating the classical Jacobi polynomials, the sharp double estimate of the distance from the subspace of all polynomials of an arbitrary fixed order is established.

引入了拟变分不等式解集的极小本质集的概念，并证明了每个拟变分不等式(满足一定条件)的解集至少存在一个极小本质集．作为应用，还证明了大多数(在Baire分类意义下)拟-似变分不等式问题的解集是稳定的；每个拟-似变分不等式(满足一定条件)的解集至少存在一个本质连通区．     

Estimates of approximate solutions and well-posedness for variational inequalities

The purpose of this paper is to estimate the approximate solutions for variational inequalities. In terms of estimate functions, we establish some estimates of the sizes of the approximate solutions from outside and inside respectively. By considering the behaviors of estimate functions, we give some characterizations of the well-posedness for variational inequalities. Wave front sets of the Riemann function of elastic interface problems

We obtain an inner and an outer estimates of wave front sets and analytic wave front sets of the Riemann function of elastic interface problems by using the localization method due to Wakabayashi. In our problem the outer estimate of wave front sets and analytic wave front sets of the Riemann function coincides with the inner estimate of those. The strong point of our results is to catch the lateral wave as well as the incident, the reflected, and the refracted waves. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

On generalized variational inequalities

We obtain a new version of the minimax inequality of Ky Fan. As an application, an existence result for the generalized variational inequality problem with set-valued mappings defined on noncompact sets in Hausdorff topological vector spaces is given. Also, some existence results for the generalized variational inequality problem for quasimonotone and pseudomonotone mappings are obtained. Dedicated to the memory of T. Rapcsák.
