Rings whose singular ideals are nil

Abstract

It is well known that when a ring R satisfies ACC on right annihilators of elements, then the right singular ideal of R is nil, in this case, we say R is right nil-singular. Many classes of rings whose singular ideals are nil, but do not satisfy the ACC on right annihilators, are presented and the behavior of them is investigated with respect to various constructions, in particular skew polynomial rings and triangular matrix rings. The class of right nil-singular rings contains π-regular rings and is closed under direct sums. Examples are provided to explain and delimit our results.     

Integer-Valued Polynomials over Matrix Rings

When D is a commutative integral domain with field of fractions K, the ring Int(D) = {f ∈ K[x] | f(D) ? D} of integer-valued polynomials over D is well-understood. This article considers the construction of integer-valued polynomials over matrix rings with entries in an integral domain. Given an integral domain D with field of fractions K, we define Int(M _n (D)): = {f ∈ M _n (K)[x] | f(M _n (D)) ? M _n (D)}. We prove that Int(M _n (D)) is a ring and investigate its structure and ideals. We also derive a generating set for Int(M _n (?)) and prove that Int(M _n (?)) is non-Noetherian.

For a ring endomorphism α,we introduce α-skew McCoy rings which are generalizations of α-rigid rings and McCoy rings,and investigate their properties.We show that if α t = I R for some positive integer t and R is an α-skew McCoy ring,then the skew polynomial ring R[x;α] is α-skew McCoy.We also prove that if α（1） = 1 and R is α-rigid,then R[x;α]/ x 2 is αˉ-skew McCoy.     

On Skew Triangular Matrix Rings

Let α be a nonzero endomorphism of a ring R, n be a positive integer and T_n(R, α) be the skew triangular matrix ring. We show that some properties related to nilpotent elements of R are inherited by T_n(R, α). Meanwhile, we determine the strongly prime radical, generalized prime radical and Behrens radical of the ring R[x; α]/(x~n), where R[x; α] is the skew polynomial ring.

Bezout equations over bivariate polynomial matrices related by an entire function

This study addresses Bezout equations over bivariate polynomial matrices, where the relationship between two variables is described by a real entire function. This paper proposes a solution method that makes optimal use of minor primeness to reduce such Bezout equations to simple equations over univariate scalar polynomials. The proposed solution method requires only matrix calculations, thus making it very useful, especially in the absence of modern computer algebra systems.     

A new approach to Bezout equations derived from multivariate polynomial matrices and real entire functions

This paper focuses on Bezout equations derived from multivariate polynomial matrices in which relationships between one primary variable and other variables are described by real entire functions. We propose a method for obtaining a solution belonging to a set of multivariate rational function matrices in which all entries are real entire functions with respect to the primary variable. The proposed method is based on a new approach that overcomes the constraints and difficulties due to many variables by expanding a class of solutions to multivariate rational function matrices.     

Noncommutative Valuation Rings of the Quotient Artinian Ring of a Skew Polynomial Ring

Let R be a Dubrovin valuation ring of a simple Artinian ring Q and let Q[X,] be the skew polynomial ring over Q in an indeterminate X, where is an automorphism of Q. Consider the natural map from Q[X,]_XQ[X,] to Q, where Q[X,]_XQ[X,] is the localization of Q[X,] at the maximal ideal XQ[X,] and set , the complete inverse image of R by . It is shown that is a Dubrovin valuation ring of Q(X,) (the quotient ring of Q[X,]) and it is characterized in terms of X and Q. In the case where R is an invariant valuation ring, the given automorphism is classified into five types, in order to study the structure of (the value group of ). It is shown that there is a commutative valuation ring R with automorphism which belongs to each type and which makes Abelian or non-Abelian. Furthermore, some examples are used to show that several ideal-theoretic properties of a Dubrovin valuation ring of Q with finite dimension over its center, do not necessarily hold in the case where Q is infinite-dimensional. Distributively generated rings and distributive modules

A module is said to be distributively generated if it is generated by distributive submodules. We prove that the endomorphism ring of a finitely generated projective right module over a right distributively generated ring is a right distributively generated ring. 斜Armendariz矩阵环

Let R be a ring.We show in the paper that the subring Un(R) of the upper triangular matrix ring Tn(R) is α-skew Armendariz if and only if R is α-rigid,also it is maximal in some non α-skew Armendariz rings,where α is a ring endomorphism of R with α(1) = 1.     

Linearly McCoy Rings and Their Generalizations

A ring R is called linearly McCoy if whenever linear polynomials f（x）, g（x） e R[x]／{0） satisfy f（x）g（x） ： O, then there exist nonzero elements r, s ∈ R such that f（x）r ： sg（x） =0. For a ring endomorphism α, we introduced the notion of α-skew linearly McCoy rings by considering the polynomials in the skew polynomial ring R[x; α] in place of the ring R[x]. A number of properties of this generalization are established and extension properties of α-skew linearly McCoy rings are given.

Boundedness and Complete Distributivity

We extend the concept of constructive complete distributivity so as to make it applicable to ordered sets admitting merely bounded suprema. The KZ-doctrine for bounded suprema is of some independent interest and a few results about it are given. The 2-category of ordered sets admitting bounded suprema over which inhabited (classically non-empty) infima distribute is shown to be bi-equivalent to a 2-category defined in terms of idempotent relations. As a corollary we obtain a simple construction of the non-negative reals.
