We introduce the concept of homogeneous numerical semigroups and show that all homogeneous numerical semigroups with Cohen–Macaulay tangent cones are of homogeneous type. In embedding dimension three, we classify all numerical semigroups of homogeneous type into numerical semigroups with complete intersection tangent cones and the homogeneous ones which are not symmetric with Cohen–Macaulay tangent cones. We also study the behavior of the homogeneous property by gluing and shiftings to construct large families of homogeneous numerical semigroups with Cohen–Macaulay tangent cones. In particular we show that these properties fulfill asymptotically in the shifting classes. Several explicit examples are provided along the paper to illustrate the property.  相似文献

This paper discusses stationary random measures on a homogeneous space and their Palm measures. It starts with such fundamental properties as the refined Campbell theorem and then proceeds to consider invariant transports, invariance and transport properties of Palm measures, and stationary partitions. In the Osserman conjecture and in the isoparametric conjecture it is stated that two-point homogeneous spaces may be characterized via the constancy of the eigenvalues of the Jacobi operator or the shape operator of geodesic spheres, respectively. These conjectures remain open, but in this paper we give complete positive results for similar statements about other symmetric endomorphism fields on small geodesic spheres. In addition, we derive more characteristic properties for this class of spaces by using other properties of small geodesic spheres. In this paper we give conditions for deriving the inconsistency of an inequality system of positively homogeneous functions starting from the inconsistency of another one. When the impossibility of the starting system represents a necessary optimality condition for an inequality constrained extremum problem and the positively homogeneous functions involved have suitable properties of convexity, such conditions collapse into the well known constraint qualifications.  相似文献

We say that a positively homogeneous function admits a saddle representation by linear functions iff it admits both an inf-sup-representation and a sup-inf-representation with the same two-index family of linear functions. In the paper we show that each continuous positively homogeneous function can be associated with a two-index family of linear functions which provides its saddle representation. Solution oscillations, often caused by identical solutions to the homogeneous subproblems, constitute a severe and inherent disadvantage in applying Lagrangian relaxation based methods to resource scheduling problems with discrete decision variables. In this paper, the solution oscillations caused by homogeneous subproblems in the Lagrangian relaxation framework are identified and analyzed. Based on this analysis, the key idea to alleviate the homogeneous oscillations is to differentiate the homogeneous subproblems. A new algorithm is developed to solve the problem under the Lagrangian relaxation framework. The basic idea is to introduce a second-order penalty term in the Lagrangian. Since the dual cost function is no longer decomposable, a surrogate subgradient is used to update the multiplier at the high level. The homogeneous subproblems are not solved simultaneously, and the oscillations can be avoided or at least alleviated. Convergence proofs and properties of the new dual cost function are presented in the paper. Numerical testing for a short-term generation scheduling problem with two groups of identical units demonstrates that solution oscillations are greatly reduced and thus the generation schedule is significantly improved.  相似文献

This paper deals with a class of switched homogeneous cooperative systems. We answer under what conditions there exists a diagonal common quadratic Lyapunov function (DCQLF) for sets of homogeneous cooperative systems. This problem is characterized by easily verifiable algebraic conditions. Namely, the existence of a DCQLF can be related to the properties of some determinants.
