Reactions of hexacarbonylmolybdenum, hexacarbonyltungsten and arene complexes of tricarbonylmolybdenum and tricarbonyltungsten with trimethyl- and triethyl-aluminium have been studied. It has been found, based on IR and NMR spectra, that trialkylaluminium does not form complexes with hexacarbonyls of molybdenum and tungsten. Arene (mesitylene, toluene and benzene) complexes of tricarbonylmolybdenum form 1 : 1 complexes with triethylaluminium, and arene complexes of tricarbonyltungsten form complexes with trimethyl- and triethyl-aluminium. Regardless of the molar ratios of reactants (arene)M(CO)3/AlEt3, only one of the three CO groups bonded to molybdenum or tungsten forms a complex with AlEt3. Fast exchange between free and complexed trialkylaluminium and an exchange of trialkylaluminium between all three carbonyl groups have been observed in benzene, toluene and decalin solutions. In the 1H NMR spectra of the products of the reactions of (mesitylene)Mo(CO)3 with AIEt3 and AIMe3, signals at –9 to –14ppm (characteristic for molybdenum hydrides) were present. It confirmed an alkylation of molybdenum followed by β- or α-hydrogen elimination with the formation of the corresponding molybdenum hydrides, the actual catalyst of aromatic hydrocarbon hydrogenation.  相似文献

Six new dioxobridged complexes of molybdenum (IV) and tungsten (IV) with N-alkylphenothiazines having the general formula M2O4(L)2(H2O)2 [where M = molybdenum or tungsten and L = N-alkylphenothiazines] have been synthesised. The complexes have been characterised on the basis of analytical, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, spectral data, TGA and DTA. The low magnetic moments for the complexes are due to spin-spin interaction or metal-metal bonding. The interactions of these complexes with some biologically important amino acids have been studied.  相似文献

Summary The electrochemical reduction characteristics of the molyb-denum(VI)-and molybdenum(V)-ethylenediaminetetraacetate complexes, [(MoO3)2Y]4– and [Mo2O4Y]2– respectively have been investigated as a function of pH and free ligand concentration. The nature of chemical reduction of these two complexes with sodium borohydride and sodium dithionite have also been studied in acetate and borate buffers. The electroactive species undergoing electrode reductions have been ascertained by analysing polarograms of the complexes. A mechanism has been proposed to account for the differences observed in the reactivities of these two complexes.  相似文献

Summary Molybdenum(V) complexes [MoOX(4-Morphdtc)2] (X=F, Cl, Br or I; 4-Morphdtc = 4-morpholinyldithiocarbamate) have been prepared from molybdenum trioxide using hydrazine hydrohalides as reducing agents. The magnetic moment values atca. 1.65 B.M. and e.p.r. studies indicated that the complexes are mononuclear and that molybdenum is in + 5 oxidation state. The i.r. spectral bands at 1500 and 960 cm–1 suggest that the dithiocarbamate acts as a univalent bidentate ligand and the bands at 930 cm–1 confirms the presence of a MoO3+ moiety in the complex. The low conductivity values for the complexes inN, N-dimethylformamide indicate that the complexes are non-ionic. The [MoOX(4-Morphdtc)2] complexes (X=F, Cl or Br) decompose in the first step by the loss of one dithiocarbamate group, whereas in [MoOI(4-Morphdtc)2] the iodine atom is lost in the first step. The second and third steps lead to the formation of MoS3 and MoO3, respectively. A six coordinate structure around Mo with an oxo, halo and two dithiocarbamate groups is proposed.  相似文献

The diamagnetic dioxomolybdenum(VI) complex [(MoO2)2(CH2L)(H2O)2]H2O (1) has been isolated in solid state from reaction of MoO2(acac)2 with bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde)malonoyldihydrazone (CH2LH4) in 3:1 molar ratio in ethanol at higher temperature. The reaction of the complex (1) with electron donor bases gives diamagnetic molybdenum(VI) complexes having composition [Mo2O5(CH2LH2)]·2A·2H2O (where A = pyridine (py, 2), 2-picoline (2-pic, 3), 3-picoline (3-pic, 4), 4-picoline (4-pic, 5)). Further, when the complex (1) is allowed to react with protonic bases such as isonicotinoylhydrazine (inhH3) and salicyloylhydrazine (slhH3), reduction of molybdenum(VI) centre occurs leading to isolation of homobimetallic molybdenum(V) complexes [Mo2(CH2L)(inh)2(H2O)2] (6) and [Mo2(CH2L)(slh)2] (7), respectively. The composition of the complexes has been established by analytical, thermo-analytical and molecular weight data. The structure of the molybdenum(VI) complexes (1)–(5) has been established by electronic, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral studies while those of the complexes (6) and (7) by magnetic moment, electronic, IR and EPR spectral studies. The dihydrazone is coordinated to the metal centres in staggered configuration in complex (1) while in anti-cis configuration in complexes (2)–(7). The complexes (6) and (7) possess magnetic moment of 2.95 and 3.06 BM, respectively, indicating presence of two magnetic centre in the complexes per molecule each with one unpaired electron on each metal centre without any metal–metal interaction. The electronic spectra of the complexes are dominated by strong charge transfer bands. All of the complexes involve six coordinated molybdenum centre with octahedral arrangement of donor atoms except in the complex (6), in which the molybdenum centre has rhombic arrangement of ligand donor atoms. The probable mechanism for generation of oxo-group in the complexes (2)–(5) involving coordinated water molecule has been proposed.  相似文献

Eight new molybdenum(VI) complexes with 4-(diethylamino)salicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazones have been prepared. They were characterized as mononuclear [MoO2LD] or dinuclear [{MoO2L}2D] complexes. In all the compounds the MoO22+ core is coordinated by a tridentate ONS thiosemicarbazonato ligand and by the N-donor molecule (imidazole, pyridine or γ-picoline). All the complexes were characterized by chemical analysis, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetry. Three of the mononuclear complexes, dioxo[(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazonato)(pyridine)]molybdenum(VI), dioxo[(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazonato)(γ-picoline)]molybdenum(VI) and dioxo[(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazonato)(imidazole)]molybdenum(VI) were also characterized by single-crystal X-ray structural analysis. A spectrophotometric method for the determination of molybdenum based on extraction of ion-pairs formed by the cationic surfactant and the [MoO(SCN)4] anion is described.  相似文献

New molybdenum(VI) complexes with N-monoalkylsubstituted hydroxylamines have been synthesized and studied. The structure of [MoO2(C2H5NHO)2] and [MoO2(i-C3H7NHO)2], whose distinguishing feature is the bidentate chelate coordination of the ligand to molybdenum with the formation of the three-membered NMoO chelate ring, has been determined by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Two molybdenum (VI) hydrogen-bonded network polymers [MoO2F4]·(4,4′-H2bpd)(H2O)2 (1) and [MoO2Cl3(H2O)]·(4,4′-H2bpd)Cl (2) (bpd = bipiperidine) have been synthesized and examined as catalysts for epoxidation of cyclooctene. Complexes of the Mo compounds containing the bpd ligand are prepared and characterized by infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric and elemental analyses. They have been structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The structures of both the complexes are shown to be comprised of molybdenum and two protonated N-ligand cations that have resulted in a cross-linked hydrogen-bonded network structure. These complexes are applicable as catalysts for the cis-cyclooctene epoxidation reactions with hydrogen peroxide as a source of oxygen and NaHCO3 as a cocatalyst. It has been observed that the formation of the oxidant peroxymonocarbonate ion, HCO4 by hydrogen peroxide and bicarbonate enhances the epoxidation reaction. Both the complexes have exhibited a good activity and a very high selectivity for the formation of cyclooctene oxide. An erratum to this article can be found at  相似文献

Unsymmetrical imine molybdenum(VI) complexes of the type [MoO2(L1)(L2)] formed by the interaction of dioxobis(2,4-pentanedionato)molybdenum(VI) in a 1:1:1 molar ratio with different imines derived from the reactions of sulphagunanidine, sulphamethazine, sulphapyridine and sulphadiazine with various aromatic aldehydes and ketones, have been prepared and the products characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic measurements and spectral studies. The complexes have also been tested in vitro. The antifertility screening data indicate the antiandrogenic nature of the complexes. The spectral studies suggest that all the ligands behave in a bidentate fashion, coordinating through the azomethine nitrogen (>C=N–) and other functional group NH as (N N) donors. Studies also reveal that the ligands react with dioxobis(2,4-pentanedionato)molybdenum(VI) to give diamagnetic mononuclear molybdenum(VI) complexes.  相似文献

Icosahedral metal-monocarbollide complexes in which the carbon atom of the {nido-CB10} fragment carries an exo-polyhedral -NR3 or -NR2 group have an extensive chemistry. This is illustrated with complexes of ruthenium, osmium, rhodium, molybdenum, tungsten and rhenium. Many complexes with molecular structures new to the metallacarborane field have been discovered, and it has been shown that it is possible to introduce functional groups into the {nido-CB10} cage system in many different ways.  相似文献

Dinuclear molybdenum(VI) peroxo complexes containing Mannich base ligands having formulae [Mo2O4(O2)2L-L(H2O)2] · H2O [where L-L = N-[1-morpholinobenzyl] acetamide (MBA), N-[1-piperidinobenzyl] acetamide (PBA), N-[1-morpholino(-4-nitrobenzyl)] benzamide (MPNBB), N-[1-piperidino(-3-nitrobenzyl)] benzamide (PMNBB), N-[1-morpholino(-2-nitrobenzyl)] acetamide (MONBA), and N-[1-morpholino(-3-nitrobenzyl)] acetamide (MMNBA)] have been synthesized by stirring ammonium heptamolybdate with excess 30% aqueous hydrogen peroxide followed by treatment with ethanolic solution of corresponding ligands. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic measurements, infrared (IR), electronic, TGA/DTA, mass spectral, and 1H NMR studies. The complexes are non-electrolytes and diamagnetic. The IR spectral studies suggest that the ligands are bidentate to metal through carbonyl oxygen and ring nitrogen. Thermal analyses provide conclusive evidence for the presence of coordinated, as well as lattice water in the complexes. Dinuclear complexes preserve the individuality of the molybdenum oxo peroxo core. The complexes exhibit higher antibacterial activity against bacterium Ralastonia solanacearum (Pseudomonas solanacearum) than the free ligands.  相似文献

Hitherto there was no reaction known that permits transformations of R1R2-CO → 0.5 R1R2R3C–CR1R2R3 in one step. This type of additive–reductive carbonyl dimerization is now possible using alkoxy(alkyl)tungsten(v) complexes with aromatic, heteroaromatic or α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones. When a corresponding phenyl complex was employed in a test experiment, it was revealed that an aliphatic ketone could be used as the substrate in this reaction. A second interesting type of reaction is the transformation of CH3 ligands into μ-CH2 ligands, which occurs during the treatment of MeLi or Me3Al with molybdenum or tungsten chlorides (oxidation states VI and V, for Mo additionally IV) at low temperatures with liberation of CH4. Here, the question arises as to whether the intermediate involved has a terminal CH2 ligand (Schrock carbene complex) or a μ-CH3 ligand (CH3 bound by a two-electron three-center bond to two metal atoms). Of all the μ-CH2 complexes obtained, those which were synthesized by the action of MeLi on molybdenum chlorides can be recommended as reagents for carbonylmethylenation of aldehydes and ketones. They display high selectivity, very low basicity, a surprising resistance to protons, they are readily available, can be easily modified and, as regards their selective behavior, they have been investigated more thoroughly than other readily accessible carbonylmethylenation reagents of comparable selectivity. The results of NMR spectroscopic investigations on the structure of the μ-CH2 complexes, and associated reaction mechanisms are discussed. A survey of carbonylmethylenation reagents, which have been reported in the literature, permits comparisons to be made with carbonylmethylenating molybdenum and tungsten complexes.  相似文献

The asymmetric molybdenum(VI) dioxo complexes of the bis(phenolate) ligands 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxybenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane, 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐4‐methylbenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane, 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethylbenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane, 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐3,5‐di‐tert‐butylbenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane, 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐4‐flurobenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane, and 1,4‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐4‐chlorobenzyl)‐1,4‐diazepane (H2(L1)–H2(L6), respectively) have been isolated and studied as functional models for molybdenum oxotransferase enzymes. These complexes have been characterized as asymmetric complexes of type [MoO2(L)] 1–6 by using NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, and electrochemical methods. The molecular structures of [MoO2(L)] 1–4 have been successfully determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses, which show them to exhibit a distorted octahedral coordination geometry around molybdenum(VI) in an asymmetrical cis‐β configuration. The Mo? Ooxo bond lengths differ only by ≈0.01 Å. Complexes 1 , 2 , 5 , and 6 exhibit two successive MoVI/MoV (E1/2, ?1.141 to ?1.848 V) and MoV/MoIV (E1/2, ?1.531 to ?2.114 V) redox processes. However, only the MoVI/MoV redox couple was observed for 3 and 4 , suggesting that the subsequent reduction of the molybdenum(V) species is difficult. Complexes 1 , 2 , 5 , and 6 elicit efficient catalytic oxygen‐atom transfer (OAT) from dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) to PMe3 at 65 °C at a significantly faster rate than the symmetric molybdenum(VI) complexes of the analogous linear bis(phenolate) ligands known so far to exhibit OAT reactions at a higher temperature (130 °C). However, complexes 3 and 4 fail to perform the OAT reaction from DMSO to PMe3 at 65 °C. DFT/B3LYP calculations on the OAT mechanism reveal a strong trans effect.  相似文献

The heats of reaction of arene, cycloheptatriene, and cyclooctatetraene complexes of molybdenum tricarbonyl with pyridine yielding (py)3Mo(CO)3 have been measured by solution calorimetry. Reaction of toluene molybdenum tricarbonyl with cyclopentadiene yielding HMo(CO)3C5H5 and with tetrahydrofuran yielding (THF)3Mo(CO)3 have also been studied thermochemically. These measurements yield accurate values for the enthalpy of arene exchange in methylene chloride solution for a number of organomolybdenum complexes. The order of stability: benzene < toluene < cyclooctatetraene < mesitylene < hexamethylbenzene < cycloheptatriene < (tris)-tetrahydrofuran < η5-cyclopentadienylhydrido < (tris)-pyridine spans a range of 31 kcal/mol.The enthalpy of isomerization of cycloheptatriene to toluene is reduced by 7.1 ± 1.2 kcal/mol upon coordination to molybdenum tricarbonyl, indicative of a loss of “resonance” energy for the complexed arene. The MoH bond strength in HMo(CO)3C5H5 is estimated as 66 ± 8 kcal/mol. The importance of entropic factors in arene exchange is discussed.  相似文献

The molybdenum(VI)-peroxo complexes containing Mannich base ligands having a formula as [MoO(O2)2(L-L)] [where L-L=morpholinobenzyl benzamide (MBB), piperidinobenzyl benzamide (PBB), morpholinobenzyl urea (MBU), piperidinobenzyl urea (PBU), morpholinobenzyl thiourea (MBTU), piperdinobenzyl thiourea (PBTU)] have been synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical, electrochemical techniques and TGA/DTA studies. The complexes have been prepared by stirring ammonium molybdate and excess of 30% aqueous-H2O2 and then treatment with ethanolic solution of the ligand. Studies revealed that these complexes were non-electrolytes and diamagnetic in nature. The ligands are bound to metal in a bidentate mode through carbonyl oxygen/thiocarbonyl sulphur and the ring nitrogen. The cyclic voltammograms of the complexes show two quasi-reversible steps involving complexes. The complexes have also been tested for antibacterial activity against Salmonella and Kleibsella. The antibacterial study of the ligands and complexes indicate that the complexes exhibit higher activity than the free ligands.  相似文献

Monometallic molybdenum(VI) complexes [MoO2(CH2LH2)]?·?H2O (1), [Mo2O4(CH2LH2)2(A)2] (A?=?py (2), 2-pic (3), 3-pic (4) and 4-pic (5)) and molybdenum(V) complexes [Mo(CH2LH2)(inh)]?·?H2O (6) and [Mo(CH2LH2)(slh)] (7) of bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde)malonoyldihydrazone (CH2LH4) have been synthesized and characterized by various physico-chemical and spectroscopic studies. The compositions of the complexes have been established by elemental analyses and molecular weight determination. The structural assessment of the complexes has been done on the basis of data obtained from molar conductances, magnetic moment studies, electronic, infrared, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance, and 13C proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic studies. The molar conductance values for the complexes in DMSO suggest that they are non-electrolytes. The magnetic moment values for 6 and 7 correspond to one unpaired electron while the remaining complexes are diamagnetic. Complexes 1, 6, and 7 have six-coordinate octahedral stereochemistry around molybdenum, while 25 are eight-coordinate dodecahedral around the metal centers. EPR spectral features suggest that 7 is less symmetrical than 6.  相似文献

Seven new oligomeric complexes of 4,4′‐bipyridine; 3,3′‐bipyridine; benzene‐1,4‐diamine; benzene‐1,3‐diamine; benzene‐1,2‐diamine; and benzidine with rhodium tetraacetate, as well as 4,4′‐bipyridine with molybdenum tetraacetate, have been obtained and investigated by elemental analysis and solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, 13C and 15N CPMAS NMR. The known complexes of pyrazine with rhodium tetrabenzoate, benzoquinone with rhodium tetrapivalate, 4,4′‐bipyridine with molybdenum tetrakistrifluoroacetate and the 1 : 1 complex of 2,2′‐bipyridine with rhodium tetraacetate exhibiting axial–equatorial ligation mode have been obtained as well for comparison purposes. Elemental analysis revealed 1 : 1 complex stoichiometry of all complexes. The 15N CPMAS NMR spectra of all new complexes consist of one narrow signal, indicating regular uniform structures. Benzidine forms a heterogeneous material, probably containing linear oligomers and products of further reactions. The complexes were characterized by the parameter complexation shift Δδ (Δδ = δcomplex ? δligand). This parameter ranged from around ?40 to ?90 ppm in the case of heteroaromatic ligands, from around ?12 to ?22 ppm for diamines and from ?16 to ?31 ppm for the complexes of molybdenum tetracarboxylates with 4,4′‐bipyridine. The experimental results have been supported by a density functional theory computation of 15N NMR chemical shifts and complexation shifts at the non‐relativistic Becke, three‐parameter, Perdew‐Wang 91/[6‐311++G(2d,p), Stuttgart] and GGA–PBE/QZ4P levels of theory and at the relativistic scalar and spin‐orbit zeroth order regular approximation/GGA–PBE/QZ4P level of theory. Nucleus‐independent chemical shifts have been calculated for the selected compounds. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Summary Dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes [MoO2L]H2O and oxomolybdenum(V) complexes [Mo2O3L2]H2O and [Mo2O3(LH)2(OH)2(H2O)2] (where LH2=thiocarbohydrazones derived from thiocarbohydrazide with salicylaldehyde, 5-methyl-, 5-chloro-, 5-bromo-, 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde) have been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, conductivity, magnetic moment, i.r., u.v-vis, e.p.r. and thermal studies. The data suggests that molybdenum(VI) complexes are non electrolytes, diamagnetic, monomeric and have distorted octahedral geometry, whereas the molybdenum(V) complexes are non electrolytes, paramagnetic and have distorted octahedral structures with possible metal intereaction via oxo bridging.  相似文献
