Abstract

In the paper, joint universality theorems for periodic zeta functions with multiplicative coefficients and periodic Hurwitz zeta-functions are proved. The main theorem of [11] is extended, and two new joint universality theorems on the approximation of a collection of analytic functions by discrete shifts of the above zeta-functions are obtained. For this, certain linear independence hypotheses are applied.  相似文献

In the present paper we consider the problem of the order of magnitude for the triple zeta-functions of Euler-Zagier type in the region 0≤ ℜsj < 1 (j = 1,2,3). We apply the Euler-Maclaurin summation formula and van der Corput's method of multiple exponential sums to the triple zeta-functions.  相似文献

We introduce several concepts of discrepancy for sequences on the Sierpiski gasket. Furthermore a law of iterated logarithm for the discrepancy of trajectories of Brownian motion is proved. The main tools for this result are regularity properties of the heat kernel on the Sierpiski gasket. Some of the results can be generalized to arbitrary nested fractals in the sense of T. We consider general multiple zeta-functions of multi-variables, including both Barnes multiple zeta-functions and Euler-Zagier sums as special cases. We prove the meromorphic continuation to the whole space, asymptotic expansions, and upper bound estimates. These results are expected to have applications to some arithmetical L-functions (such as of Hecke and of Shintani). The method is based on the classical Mellin-Barnes integral formula.  相似文献

A general method for the analysis of queueing networks called regenerative decomposition is discussed. It includes global ergodic analysis of the whole network and a following detailed analysis of each separate node.In the first stage, ergodic conditions are deduced under which the processes describing the network and each node are regenerative (in a wide sense). In the paper, we concentrate mainly on the following stage of analysis (local analysis) which includes obtaining some rate conservation laws for the limiting distributions of the continuous time and (embedded) discrete time processes describing a separate nodes under ergodic conditions.Some useful properties of regenerative wide sense processes are considered in detail.  相似文献

We introduce the zeta Mahler measure with a complex parameter, whose derivative is a generalization of the classical Mahler measure. We study a fundamental theory of the zeta Mahler measure, including holomorphic regions and transformation formulas. A method for a quantitative comparison of wide sense regenerative processes is discussed. The main idea appears to be to make assumptions on the processes being studied that permit one to construct so-called crossing times which are simultaneous regeneration times for another pair of regenerative processes (called crossing), each element of the pair coinciding in distribution with one of the initial processes. Provided that intercrossing times have proper moments (higher, than of the first order), the problem of uniform-in-time comparison is reduced (using renewal-type arguments) to obtaining comparison estimates over finite horizons only. Respective estimates are formulated in terms of probability metrics. Possible applications include continuity of queues, approximation of Markov chains, etc.  相似文献

We prove the existence of a weakly dependent strictly stationary solution of the equation Xt=F(Xt1,Xt2,Xt3,…;ξt)Xt=F(Xt1,Xt2,Xt3,;ξt) called a chain with infinite memory. Here the innovations  ξtξt constitute an independent and identically distributed sequence of random variables. The function FF takes values in some Banach space and satisfies a Lipschitz-type condition. We also study the interplay between the existence of moments, the rate of decay of the Lipschitz coefficients of the function FF and the weak dependence properties. From these weak dependence properties, we derive strong laws of large number, a central limit theorem and a strong invariance principle.  相似文献

Functionals of Brownian motion can be dealt with by realizing them as functionals of white noise. Specifically, for quadratic functionals of Brownian motion, such a realization is a powerful tool to investigate them. There is a one-to-one correspondence between a quadratic functional of white noise and a symmetric L2(R2)-function which is considered as an integral kernel. By using well-known results on the integral operator we can study probabilistic properties of quadratic or certain exponential functionals of white noise. The paper starts by proving that a sequence of random elements can be coupled in such a way that the random elements eventually coincide if and only if liminf of their densities is a density. It continues with a survey of some general coupling theory for stochastic processes and applications to wide sense regenerative processes and Palm theory. We prove that the Riemann functional equation can be recovered by the Mellin transforms of essentially all the absolutely integrable functions. The present analysis shows also that the Riemann functional equation is equivalent to the Fourier inversion formula. Summary In the threshold contact process on thed-dimensional integer lattice with ranger, healthy sites become infected at rate if they have at least one infectedr-neighbour, and recover at rate 1. We show that the critical value c (r) is asymptotic tor –d c asr, where c is the critical value of the birth rate for a continuum threshold contact process which may be described in terms of an oriented continuous percolation model driven by a Poisson process of rate ind+1 dimensions. This paper presents a numerical method for one-dimensional Burgers’ equation by the Hopf–Cole transformation and a reproducing kernel function, abbreviated as RKF. The numerical solution is given as explicit integral expressions with the RKF at each time step, so that the computation is fully parallel. The stability and error estimates are derived. Numerical results for some test problems are presented and compared with the exact solutions. Some numerical results are also compared with the results obtained by other methods.
