Heavy OWA Operators

We recall the OWA operator and discuss some of the features used to characterize these operators. In passing we introduce an new characterizing attribute called the divergence. We then consider two cases of information fusion and use these as motivation to generalize the OWA operator with the introduction of the Heavy OWA operator. These HOWA operators differ from the ordinary OWA operators by relaxing the constraints on the associated weighting vector. We consider some applications of these HOWA operators and provide some examples of weighting vectors associated with these HOWA operators.     

Composition operators: Hyperinvariant subspaces, quasi-normals and isometries

We exhibit hyperinvariant subspaces of some composition operators. We also consider quasi-normal composition operators and discuss the commutant of isometric composition operators.

     

Left–Right Browder and Left–Right Fredholm Operators

We consider left and right Browder operators, left and right Fredholm operators, spectra related with these operators, and various operator quantities.     

Differential operators commuting in the principal part

We consider commuting differential operators with two independent variables of general form and obtain general necessary commutativity conditions for low-order operators. We show that these conditions allow classifying commuting pairs of operators whose coefficients are linear functions of the independent variables.     

LU- versus UL-Factorization of Integral Operators with Semi-Separable Kernel

The problem we consider is how to obtain a UL-factorization from a LU-factorization for integral operators with semi-separable kernels in both the time varying and the time invariant cases. We also consider the special situation where the integral operators are self-adjoint.

On constrained Volterra cubic stochastic operators

We consider constrained Volterra cubic stochastic operators and construct several Lyapunov functions for the constrained Volterra cubic stochastic operators. We prove that such kind operators do not have periodic trajectories. Finally, we show that the set of all constrained Volterra cubic stochastic operators is a convex compact set and find the extreme points of this set.     

A conic manifold perspective of elliptic operators on graphs

We give a simple, explicit, sufficient condition for the existence of a sector of minimal growth for second-order regular singular differential operators on graphs. We specifically consider operators with a singular potential of Coulomb type and base our analysis on the theory of elliptic cone operators.     

Composition operators on Hardy spaces of a half-plane

We consider composition operators on Hardy spaces of a half-plane. We mainly study boundedness and compactness. We prove that on these spaces there are no compact composition operators.

     

Symplectic Dirac operators on Hermitian symmetric spaces

We describe the shape of the symplectic Dirac operators on Hermitian symmetric spaces. For this, we consider these operators as families of operators that can be handled more easily than the original ones.     

On non-linear Markov operators: surjectivity vs orthogonal preserving property

In the present paper, we consider non-linear Markov operators, namely polynomial stochastic operators. We introduce a notion of orthogonal preserving polynomial stochastic operators. The purpose of this study is to show that surjectivity of non-linear Markov operators is equivalent to their orthogonal preserving property.     

Modified Wave Operator for a System of Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations in 2d

We consider a system of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with quadratic nonlinearities in two space dimensions. We prove the existence of modified wave operators or wave operators under some mass conditions.     

On differential operators over a map,thick morphisms of supermanifolds,and symplectic micromorphisms

We recall the notion of a differential operator over a map (in linear and non-linear settings) and consider its versions such as formal ħ-differential operators over a map. We study constructions and examples of such operators, which include pullbacks by thick morphisms and operators arising as quantization of symplectic micromorphisms.     

Superalgebraic representation of Dirac matrices

We consider a Clifford extension of the Grassmann algebra in which operators are constructed from products of Grassmann variables and derivatives with respect to them. We show that this algebra contains a subalgebra isomorphic to a matrix algebra and that it additionally contains operators of a generalized matrix algebra that mix states with different numbers of Grassmann variables. We show that these operators are extensions of spin-tensors to the case of superspace. We construct a representation of Dirac matrices in the form of operators of a generalized matrix algebra.     

Steklov operators and semigroups in weighted spaces of continuous real functions

We consider Steklov operators in weighted spaces of continuous functions on the whole real line and on a bounded interval. We study the connections of these operators with some second order degenerate parabolic problems establishing a general Voronovskaja type formula.     

Noncommutative elliptic theory. Examples

We study differential operators with coefficients in noncommutative algebras. As an algebra of coefficients, we consider crossed products corresponding to the action of a discrete group on a smooth manifold. We give index formulas for the Euler, signature, and Dirac operators twisted by projections over the crossed product. The index of Connes operators on the noncommutative torus is computed.
