The notion of axial algebra is closely related to 3-transposition groups, the Monster group and vertex operator algebras. In this work we continue our previous works and complete the proof that all algebras generated by a set of primitive axes not necessarily of the same type (see the definition in the body of the paper), are primitive axial algebras of Jordan type.  相似文献

The problem of classification of Jordan bimodules over (non-semisimple) finite dimensional Jordan algebras with respect to their representation type is considered. The notions of diagram of a Jordan algebra and of Jordan tensor algebra of a bimodule are introduced and a mapping Qui is constructed which associates to the diagram of a Jordan algebra J the quiver of its universal associative enveloping algebra S(J). The main results are concerned with Jordan algebras of semi-matrix type, that is, algebras whose semi-simple component is a direct sum of Jordan matrix algebras. In this case, criterion of finiteness and tameness for one-sided representations are obtained, in terms of diagram and mapping Qui, for Jordan tensor algebras and for algebras with radical square equals to 0.  相似文献

For a central simple algebra of even degree with hyperbolic orthogonal involution, we describe the canonically induced involution on the even Clifford algebra of . When , and the interesting part of is isomorphic to the canonical involution on an exterior power algebra of B. As a corollary, we get some properties of the involution on the exterior power algebra.  Let A be a central simple algebra of degree n over a field of characteristic different from 2 and let B ? A be a maximal commutative subalgebra. We show that if there is an involution on A that preserves B and such that the socle of each local component of B is a homogeneous C 2 -module for this action, then B is a Frobenius algebra. For a fixed commutative Frobenius algebra B of finite dimension n equipped with an involution σ, we characterize the central simple algebras A of degree n that contain B and carry involutions extending σ. Using the Jordan algebras methods, specially the properties of Peirce decomposition and the Frobenius transformation, we compute the coefficients of the zeta functional equation, in the case of Jordan algebras of type II. As particular cases of our result, we can cite the case of studied by Gelbart [Mem. Amer. Math. Soc. 108 (1971)] and Godement and Jacquet [Zeta functions of simple algebras, Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 260, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1972], and the case of studied by Muro [Adv. Stud. Pure Math. 15 (1989) 429]. Let us also mention, that recently, Bopp and Rubenthaler have obtained a more general result on the zeta functional equation by using methods based on the algebraic properties of regular graded algebras which are in one-to-one correspondence with simple Jordan algebras [Local Zeta Functions Attached to the Minimal Spherical Series for a Class of Symmetric Spaces, IRMA, Strasbourg, 2003]. The method used in this paper is a direct application of specific properties of Jordan algebras of type II.  相似文献

A survey of recent results in classification of JW-algebras (weakly closed Jordan algebras of self-adjoint operators in the Hilbert space) is given along with connections of JW-algebras with their enveloping W*-algebras. It is shown how these results are applied in the proofs of analogs of many important results in the theory of W*-algebras.Translated from Itogi Nauki i Tekhniki, Seriya Sovremennye Problemy Matematiki (Noveishie Dostizheniya), Vol. 27, pp. 67–98, 1985.  相似文献

We study commutative algebras which are generalizations of Jordan algebras. The associator is defined as usual by (xyz) = (x y)z − x(y z). The Jordan identity is (x2yx) = 0. In the three generalizations given below, t, β, and γare scalars. ((x x)y)x + t((x x)x)y = 0, ((x x)x)(y x) − (((x x)x)y)x = 0, β((x x)y)x + γ((x x)x)y − (β + γ)((y x)x)x = 0. We show that with the exception of a few values of the parameters, the first implies both the second and the third. The first is equivalent to the combination of ((x x)x)x = 0 and the third. We give examples to show that our results are in some reasonable sense, the best possible.  相似文献

Let G be a group such that the set of p-elements of G forms a finite nonabelian subgroup, where p is an odd prime, and let F be a field of characteristic p. In this paper we prove that the lower bound of the Lie derived length of the group algebra FG given by Shalev in [11] is also a lower bound for the Lie derived length of the set of symmetric elements of FG for every involution which is linear extension of an involutive anti-automorphism of G. Furthermore, we provide counterexamples to the interesting cases which are not covered by the main theorem.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate the concept of pseudo-atoms of a real-valued function m defined on an effect algebra L; a few examples of pseudo-atoms and atoms are given in the context of null-additive, null-null-additive and pseudo-null-additive functions and also, some fundamental results for pseudo-atoms under the assumption of null-null-additivity are established. The notions of total variation |m|, positive variation m+ and negative variation m of a real-valued function m on L are studied elaborately and it is proved for a modular measure m (which is of bounded total variation) defined on a D-lattice L that, m is pseudo-atomic (or atomic) if and only if its total variation |m| is pseudo-atomic (or atomic). Finally, a Jordan type decomposition theorem for an extended real-valued function m of bounded total variation defined on an effect algebra L is proved and some properties on decomposed parts of m such as continuity from below, pseudo-atomicity (or atomicity) and being measure, are discussed. A characterization for the function m to be of bounded total variation is established here and used in proving above-mentioned Jordan type decomposition theorem.  相似文献
