The tribological properties of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyethersulfone (PES) and polysulfone (PSU), which have similar molecular structures, were investigated using an end-face contact tribometer and a reciprocating tribometer. The thermomechanical behavior of the polymers was analyzed using dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). PPS exhibited a maximum friction coefficient with increasing load and sliding speed, while the friction coefficients of PES and PSU decreased only slightly. The wear rate of PPS was much lower than that of PES and PSU under high loads and speeds. It is suggested that the main factors influencing the friction and wear properties of the neat polymers are their condensed state and heat resistance. Amorphous PES and PSU showed liquid-like behavior and very low friction when the frictional surface was in the molten-flow state. The macromolecular crystals of crystallizable PPS give it some solid-like behavior and load-carrying capacity; hence PPS exhibited lower wear than PES and PSU.  相似文献

The friction and wear properties of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyethersulfone (PES) and polysulfone (PSU), which have similar molecular structure, were investigated using an end-face contact tribometer in three different cooling ways: sliding without air cooling, sliding with air cooling, and sliding in water. The worn surface and wear debris were observed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The effect of frictional heat on the tribological properties of the polymers was comparatively studied. When sliding in air, with increasing applied load, the wear rate of PPS decreased slightly initially then increased later while the wear rate of PES and PSU increased through out. The results suggested that the friction coefficient was mainly affected by the temperature of the worn polymer that was controlled by the balance of heat flow of the whole sliding contact system. When sliding in water, the friction coefficients of the three polymers decreased compared to that sliding in air and remained relatively steady through the whole process under different load. The wear rates of the three polymers had a close value and, remarkably, increased compared to that sliding in air. The water cooling and lubrication role decreased the tribological properties difference between the polymers.  相似文献

25%, 50%, and 75% polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) long fiber reinforced PPS resin were prepared by a hot pressing method. Neat resin PPS and PPS fiber samples were also prepared to compare with the self-reinforced PPS composites. The reinforcing fibers were preheat treated at 240°C for 24 h. The tribological properties of the self-reinforced PPS composites against an AISI 1045 steel ring were determined by a block on ring type friction tester. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results indicated that a higher degree of crystallinity was retained in the self-reinforced PPS composites than in neat PPS resin after hot pressing. Therefore, the addition of PPS fiber improved both the mechanical and tribological properties of PPS resin significantly. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) demonstrated that the PPS fibers increased the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the PPS resin. SEM images of the fracture surfaces indicated that the toughness of the samples increased with increasing PPS fiber content. Additionally, PPS fibers improved the tribological properties of PPS resin by significantly reducing the friction coefficient and wear rate.  相似文献

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fiber materials, whose raw fibers had been heat treated previously for 1 to 5 days, were prepared by a hot-pressing method. The tribological properties of PPS resin and fiber materials against an AISI 1045 steel ring were evaluated using a block-on-ring wear tester. The results showed that the sample whose raw fibers had been heated at 240°C for 1 day (S1) exhibited the highest impact strength as well as the lowest friction coefficient and wear rate. The friction coefficient of S1 was 39% lower than that of the PPS resin material, and its wear rate was 1 to 2 orders of magnitude lower than those of the other samples. DSC analysis results indicated that the condensed structure of the samples gradually changed from the crystalline to the amorphous state with the increase of heat-treatment time of the raw fibers. DMA and DSC analysis results proved that severe, oxidative cross-linking reactions occurred when the raw fibers were heated over 3 days. It is concluded that proper heat treatment of the raw fibers is advantageous to improve the degree of crystallinity and appropriate oxidative cross-linking; therefore, the prepared PPS fiber material can exhibit better mechanical and tribological performances.  相似文献

在液体石蜡中采用微波技术原位合成了油溶性环烷酸铅(LN)和十二烷基水杨酸铅(LAS),在高速低负荷(r=1500±10rpm,P=196-392N)和低速高负荷(r=300±10rpm,P=800N)两种条件下,用四球摩擦磨损试验对LN,LAS和对应的羧酸进行了摩擦学性能评价,用往复式摩试验机考察了LN和LAS抗磨减摩性能,结果表明:LN具有良好的抗磨减磨性能和中等的极压性能,且各项摩擦学性能指标均好于LAS。为弄清其作用机理,从分子结构分析了产生摩擦学性能差异的原因,并用SEM及XPS研究了磨斑表面,结果发现:摩擦过程中,LN和LAS都能在摩擦副表面形成吸附膜且部分吸附膜发生摩擦化学反应产生了铅氧化物转化膜,但所形成的吸附膜和转化膜厚度不同。  相似文献

4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene) diphthalic anhydride (6FDA)-based copolyimides were synthesized and the tribological properties of the copolyimides with different heat histories were studied at different temperatures. Fluoride-containing polyimide (PI) showed better thermal stability, decreased friction coefficients, and postponed the consequence of friction variation, which depended on temperature, than nonfluorinated PI. Thermal treatments seemed to increase the friction coefficients of copolyimides, and reduced the tensile strengths of the materials. The effects of applied load (P) and sliding speed (V) on tribological behaviors of thermally treated copolyimides were also examined and the variations of friction coefficient depending on PV values were investigated for clear understanding of its relationship between PV value and friction coefficient with different thermal treating time. Distortions of net structures of the chains and molecular motion contributed to variations of tribological properties of thermal treated copolyimides.  相似文献

In this study a series of polyimide (PI) films were synthesized from fluorinated and nonfluorinated monomers which contained diamines and dianhydrides. The influence of fluorine-containing groups on the glass transition temperature (T g) and tribological properties of the PI films was investigated. The wear mechanism for the different kinds of PI polymers was comparatively discussed. T g was characterized by dynamic mechanical analysis and the tribological changes were evaluated by friction and wear tests as well as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis of the worn surfaces. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) has been used to study the structures of the PI polymers. Experimental results indicated that the fluorine groups influenced the thermal behavior (T g) of the PI films. Nonfluorinated PI films have lower friction coefficient and wear rate compared with the fluorinated ones. It was also found that the tribological properties of the PI films were closely related with the applied load. The friction coefficients and wear rates reduced with increasing the applied load.  相似文献

在石蜡油 聚乙二醇的混合溶剂中 ,通过液相分散法成功地制备出了铅纳米微粒 .其中 ,石蜡油是反应介质 ,聚乙二醇是抗氧化剂 .同时 ,对铅纳米微粒的形貌和结构进行了透射电镜 (TEM)和X光衍射 (XRD)表征 .结果表明 ,铅纳米微粒呈球形 ,平均粒径为 70nm ,具有与本体铅相同的晶体结构 .另外 ,在四球试验机上表征了铅纳米微粒作为润滑油添加剂的摩擦学性能 .摩擦试验表明 ,铅纳米微粒具有良好的减摩抗磨性能 ,并能够显著改善基础油的承载能力 .磨斑表面分析表明 ,铅纳米微粒的抗磨减摩机制不是形成金属沉积膜 ,可能是在摩擦接触面形成滑动 轴承系  相似文献

Carbon fabric reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composites with different PTFE content, viz. 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 vol%, were fabricated by a dispersion impregnation technique followed by a hot-press process. The composites were evaluated for their mechanical and tribological properties. The tribological tests were conducted on a friction and wear tester with a ring-on-block arrangement. The mechanical properties were also tested and their relationship with tribological properties was analyzed. The worn surface and wear debris were analyzed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) to study the wear mechanism. It was found that the resin content had a great influence on both the mechanical properties and the tribological properties, and the tribological properties were correlated with the mechanical properties. The composite with 50 vol% PTFE showed promising tribological behaviors under the selected test conditions.  相似文献

A series of organically modified montmorillonite (OMMT)/nitrile rubber (NBR) nanocomposites were prepared by a simple mechanical-mixing method. The structures of OMMT and the dispersion of OMMT in the rubber matrix were detected by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mechanical properties of the NBR/OMMT nanocomposites were characterized, and the tribological behaviors of the nanocomposites were evaluated on a ring-block (MRH-3) wear tester. The results showed that the OMMT was homogeneously dispersed in the NBR matrix. The tensile strength of the OMMT/NBR nanocomposites increased with increasing OMMT contents. Both the coefficient of friction (COF) and wear of the nanocomposites decreased remarkably with increasing OMMT content. In addition, the influence of the applied load on the tribological properties of the nanocomposites is discussed. It is expected that the research may be of aid in the rational design and use of solid, self-lubricating nanocomposites under different loading states.  相似文献

Six different solvents, i.e., diphenyl sulfone (DPS), diphenyl isophthalate (DPIP), benzoin (BZ), epsilon-caprolactam (CPL), hydrogenated terphenyl (HTP), and cyclohexyl pyrrolidinone (CHPN), were selected as diluents for poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) microporous membranes development via the thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method. Phase separation behaviors for the various solvents were first identified through thermal analysis of their PPS solutions. Liquid-liquid separation behavior was identified for a group of solvents including DPS, DPIP, and BZ, whereas systems with the solvents CPL, HTP, and CHPN underwent solid-liquid separation during the cooling process. A newly designed casting device, which well simulated the industrial film casting process, was then used to produce films; it consisted of a side-by-side high-temperature plate and room-temperature plate. The different cooling conditions able to be produced by this casting device were found to greatly affect the TIPS process and the properties of the final membranes. The properties of PPS membranes prepared on this device from 30 wt.% binary solutions with the six solvents were investigated. The morphology of PPS membranes was also observed on the samples prepared under different cooling processes for the six solvents.  相似文献

A series of polyurethane (PU)/talc composites modified by a high molecular weight hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (HTPDMS) were prepared. The effect of the talc content on the mechanical, wettability and tribological properties of the PU composites was studied. Tensile strength of the PU composites reached to the maximum after adding 5% talc. The water contact angles (CA) of the original surfaces and worn surfaces of the polyurethane composites were measured. The experimental results indicated that the contact angles of the worn surface increased after friction. The friction and wear experiments were tested on a MRH-3 model ring-on-block test rig at different sliding speeds and loads under dry sliding and water lubrication. Experimental results revealed that the talc contributed to largely improve the tribological properties of the PU composites. The coefficient of friction (COF) of the composites increased with increasing talc. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) investigations showed that the worn surfaces of the talc filled PU composites were smoother than pure polyurethane under given load and sliding speed.  相似文献

空间等离子体环境模拟与研究装置用于在地面模拟空间磁场和等离子体环境,需要在3.5μH电感、0.8 mΩ电阻的环向场线圈负载上产生前沿130μs、降流时间不大于1600μs、峰值260 kA的脉冲电流,因此设计了一套模块化的电容器型放电电源。针对相对较小电感的负载,根据设计要求的放电波形和开关组件通流能力,考虑负载短路故障的情形,给出了保护电感、优化的模块数量等回路参数计算方法。进一步采用传输电缆作为能量传输,同时将电缆寄生电感作为保护电感的方案,研制了一套由4个模块组成的放电电源。研究结果表明,本文给出的电路理论计算结果与设计要求一致,放电试验进一步证明电源设计满足设计放电波形要求。  相似文献

A series of composites with Twaron fabric as reinforcement and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as matrix were fabricated with various contents of PTFE, viz. 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 vol%. The Rockwell hardness and tensile strength of the composites were tested according to the corresponding standards. The composites were also evaluated for their tribological behaviors on an MPX-2000A friction and wear tester. The worn surface and wear debris of the composites were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the mechanism is discussed. The PTFE content in the composites had a great influence on both the mechanical and tribological properties. The composite with 40 vol% PTFE provided the proper wetting of the fibers and the best load transfer efficiency and, hence, showed the best mechanical properties and tribological behaviors.  相似文献

利用中频非平衡磁控溅射技术在单晶硅基底上沉积了类石墨碳膜, 采用Raman光谱、高分辨透射电子显微镜、原子力显微镜分析了薄膜微观结构和表面形貌; 采用纳米压痕仪和CSM摩擦磨损试验机测试了碳膜力学性能和摩擦学性能. 结果表明: 利用中频非平衡磁控溅射技术沉积的碳膜是一种以sp2键合碳为主、结构非晶、硬度适中、应力较低、表面粗糙度较大、摩擦性能优异的薄膜. 脉冲占空比对薄膜微观结构和性能有显著影响, 随着脉冲占空比的增大, Raman光谱D峰和G峰的强度比ID/IG先减小后增大, 而硬度随脉冲占空比的增大却呈现出相反的变化趋势, 即先增大后减小; 大气氛围中的摩擦性能测试表明, 本实验制备的薄膜具有优异的抗磨性能(~10-11 cm3/N-1. m-1)和承载能力(~2.5 GPa). 随脉冲占空比的增大, 薄膜摩擦系数变化甚微而磨损率却呈现先显著减小后轻微增大的变化趋势. 类石墨碳膜优异的摩擦学性能主要归因于其独特的结构、较低的内应力及良好的结构稳定性.  相似文献

为获得二硫化钼(MoS2)涂层在聚变堆部件表面使用条件下的摩擦磨损特性,采用单极性脉冲磁控溅射技术在铁铬镍基高温合金A286上制备了厚度为2μm的MoS2涂层,并针对MoS2涂层在不同载荷及转速条件下的摩擦学性能展开了研究。经验证,沉积的MoS2涂层结晶度较好,沿(002)面择优取向;随测试转速的增加,摩擦系数逐渐减小,在转速为50r·min-1时,摩擦系数平均值为0.0722;在转速固定时,摩擦系数随测试载荷的增加先减小后增大,当载荷为7N时达到最小平均值0.0763。  相似文献

为了满足某脱离电网的应用需求,研究了一种基于爆磁压缩发生器的紧凑脉冲功率源。该脉冲功率源设计目标是对等效电容为65 pF的电容负载快速充电至数百kV。考虑到爆磁压缩发生器与负载之间的阻抗匹配,该脉冲功率源采用了一种主要由电爆炸断路开关、脉冲变压器和中间储能电容器组成的脉冲调制模块。详细介绍了该脉冲功率源的具体设计和实验研究,并对实验结果进行了分析,在此基础上讨论了下一步可能的改进优化。研究结果表明,利用该脉冲源对电容负载充电电压达到了-352 kV,电压上升时间约10 ns。  相似文献

CrN coatings were prepared by filtered cathodic vacuum arc (FCVA) technique. The influence of the deposition parameters (nitrogen partial pressure PN2, substrate bias voltage Vs and preheating of the substrate) on the structural, mechanical and tribological properties of the FCVA CrN coatings was investigated. Further, the FCVA CrN coating was compared in dry reciprocating sliding with commercial multi-arc ion plating (MAIP) CrN coating as to friction and wear properties. Profilometer, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) were used to evaluate the wear scars and the wear mechanisms were discussed. The results showed that the structural, mechanical and tribological properties of the FCVA CrN coatings were significantly dependent on the deposition parameters. The FCVA CrN coating deposited with PN2 of 0.1 Pa, Vs of −100 V and without preheating exhibited the optimal mechanical and tribological properties. The FCVA CrN coating exhibited much better anti-abrasive and anti-spalling properties than the MAIP CrN coating, which was resulted from significant reduction of macroparticles and pitting defects by the FCVA technique. The MAIP CrN coating suffered severe concentrated wear by a combination wear mechanisms of delamination, abrasive and oxidative wear when high normal load was applied, while for the FCVA CrN coating the wear mechanisms were ultra-mild abrasive and oxidative wear.  相似文献

Surface texturing has been recognized as an effective means to improve the tribological performances of sliding surfaces. Usually, generation additional hydrodynamic pressure to increase the load carrying capacity is regarded as the most significant effect of surface texture. In the case of silicon carbide sliding against identical material in water, the experimental results indicate that surface texture is also helpful to improve the running-in progress to smooth the contact surfaces, showing another reason to result in low friction. Based on the consideration of enhancing the generation of hydrodynamic pressure and improving running-in progress, a surface texture pattern, which was combined with large (circle, 350 μm in diameter) and small (rectangular, 40 μm in length) dimples, was designed to maximize the texture effect on the load carrying capacity of SiC surfaces sliding in water. The friction coefficient of such textured surface was evaluated and compared with that of untextured and those only with large or small dimples only. The friction reduction mechanisms of the patterns with different dimples in size are discussed.  相似文献

Transition metal dichalcogenides with a layered structure are well known for their self-lubricating properties, particularly in a vacuum or dry atmosphere. The macrotribological properties of these films have been studied extensively. However, the tribological behaviour of these films in the nanonewton load range has hardly been reported. Study of tribological properties with load in the nanonewton range is required for applications related to microelectromechanical systems or nanoelectromechanical systems. In view of the above, the hardness, surface force, friction force, etc. of Mo–Se–C films were investigated at an applied load in the nanonewton range using a nanoindenter and atomic force microscopy. The effect of carbon content, applied load and scanning speed on the friction coefficient was determined. Data pertaining to topography, lateral force and pull-off force of various surfaces are illustrated. The observed nanotribological behaviour of these films is analysed in the light of their nanohardness. The results indicate that the friction force of all the films is very low and in general dependent on surface force. However, a film having the highest carbon content exhibits the maximum friction force. With increasing carbon content of the films tested, the hardness increases and wear decreases. The above results pertain to investigations under ambient conditions.  相似文献
