标度能谱理论能够简化外场谱及可以经典方法理解原子外场谱而倍受关注。本文报道了用于电场中Rydberg原子常数标度能谱实验研究的装置以及有关的计算机控制、采集及处理系统。该系统对能量E和电场F进行同步控制以保持标度能谱ε=E/F为常数,并成功地得到Rydberg态Sr原子在标度能ε=-3.0时的标度能谱,经过傅里叶变换,获得了电场中Sr原子的电子回归谱。 相似文献

Measurement of Ionization Threshold of Ultracold Cesium Rydberg Atoms in Static Electric Field 下载免费PDF全文
We investigate the field ionization spectra of ultracold cesium Rydberg atoms in dc electric field. The ionization thresholds of different electric fields are measured and shift of the ionization threshold relative to field-free ionization threshold is accurately described by (6.06±0.14)F1/2, which is in good agreement with the classical saddle-point model for field ionization. We obtain the field-free ionization threshold of cesium (6P3/2) as 19674.89 ± 2.99 cm^-1 by fitting experimental data. 相似文献

We present measurements of the resonant microwave excitation of Rydberg energy levels for surface-state electrons on superfluid helium. The temperature-dependent contribution to the linewidth gamma(T) agrees with theoretical predictions and is very small below 700 mK, in the ripplon scattering regime. Absorption saturation and power broadening were observed as the fraction of electrons in the first excited state was increased to 0.49, close to the thermal excitation limit of 0.5. The Rabi frequency Omega was determined as a function of microwave power. High values of the ratio Omega/gamma confirm this system as an excellent candidate for creating qubits. 相似文献

The ratio between the Landé g‐factors of the Rb and Rb ground‐state hyperfine levels is experimentally measured to be , consistent with previous measurements. The g‐factor ratio is determined by comparing the Larmor frequencies of overlapping ensembles of Rb and Rb atoms contained within an evacuated, antirelaxation‐coated vapor cell. The atomic spins are polarized via synchronous optical pumping and the Larmor frequencies are measured by off‐resonant probing using optical rotation of linearly polarized light. The accuracy of this measurement of exceeds that of previous measurements by a factor of ≈50 and is sensitive to effects related to quantum electrodynamics. 相似文献

The dipole blockade effect at laser excitation of mesoscopic ensembles of Rydberg atoms lies in the fact that the excitation of one atom to a Rydberg state blocks the excitation of other atoms due to the shift in the collective energy levels of interacting Rydberg atoms. It is used to obtain the entangled qubit states based on single neutral atoms in optical traps. In this paper, we present our experimental results on the observation of the dipole blockade for mesoscopic ensembles of 1–5 atoms when they are detected by the selective field ionization method. We have investigated the spectra of the three-photon laser excitation 5S1/2 → 5P3/2 → 6S1/2 → nP3/2 of cold Rydberg Rb atoms in a magneto-optical trap. We have found that for mesoscopic ensembles this method allows only a partial dipole blockage to be observed. This is most likely related to the presence of parasitic electric fields reducing the interaction energy of Rydberg atoms, the decrease in the probability of detecting high states, and the strong angular dependence of the interaction energy of Rydberg atoms in a single interaction volume. 相似文献

We consider a system consisting of two two-level atoms interacting with a radiation field, including Stark shift terms, and investigate the effect of Stark shift terms on the interaction between the radiation field and the two atoms. Within the framework of the Heisenberg picture, we obtain the general solution to the operator equations of motion. In addition, we derive the general solution obtained by solving the system of differential equations. Some statistical aspects such as atomic inversion and linear entropy are discussed in detail. We study the effect of the time-dependent function on the population inversion and linear entropy. Finally, we examine the linear entropy, concurrence, and quantum and classical correlations for different values of the detuning parameter. 相似文献

A (x), where A(x) is the electromagnetic vector potential with an ultraviolet cutoff. If the interactions between the electrons and the quantized
radiation field are turned off, the atom or molecule is assumed to have at least one bound state. We prove that, for sufficiently
small values of the fine structure constant α, the interacting system has a ground state corresponding to the bottom of its
energy spectrum. For an atom, we prove that its excited states above the ground state turn into metastable states whose life-times
we estimate. Furthermore the energy spectrum is absolutely continuous, except, perhaps,
in a small interval above the ground state energy and around the threshold energies of the atom or molecule.
