Orlicz function and sequence spaces unit balls of which have no extreme points are completely characterized for both (the Orlicz and the Luxemburg) norms. Their subspaces of order continuous elements, with the norms induced from the whole Orlicz spaces without extreme points in their unit balls are also characterized. The well-known spaces L1 and c0 with unit balls without extreme points are covered by our results. Moreover, a new example of a Banach space without extreme points in its unit ball is given (see Example 1). This is the subspace a(L1+L) of order continuous elements of the space L1+L equipped with the norm whenever 0<a<∞ and μ(T)>1/a.  相似文献

Let X = (X, d,μ) The purpose of this paper is to be a space of homogeneous type in the sense of Coifman and Weiss. generalize the definition of Hardy space H^P(X) and prove that the generalized Hardy spaces have the same property as H^P(X). Our definition includes a kind of Hardy- Orlicz spaces and a kind of Hardy spaces with variable exponent. The results are new even for the R^n case. Let (X, δ, μ) be the normalized space of (X, d, μ) in the sense of Macias and Segovia. We also study the relations of our function spaces for (X, d, μ) and (X, δ,μ).  相似文献

We study compactness properties of linear operators from an Orlicz space LΦ provided with a natural mixed topology to a Banach space (X, || · ||X). We derive that every Bochner representable operator is -compact. In particular, it is shown that every Bochner representable operator is (τ(L, L1), || · ||X)-compact.   相似文献

Given a weight w in Ω ⊂ ∝N, |Ω| < ∞ and a Young function φ, we consider the weighted modular ∫Ω ω(f(x))w(x)dx and the resulting weighted Orlicz space Lω(w). For a Young function Ω ∉ Δ2(∞) we present a necessary and sufficient conditions in order that Lω(w) = Lω(XΩ) up to the equivalence of norms. We find a necessary and sufficient condition for ω in order that there exists an unbounded weight w such that the above equality of spaces holds. By way of applications we simplify criteria from [5] for continuity of the composition operator from Lω into itself when ω Δ2(∞) and obtain necessary and sufficient condition in order that the composition operator maps Lω. continuously onto Lω.  相似文献

We consider pseudodifferential operators with operator valued symbols a(x,ξ) acting on a UMD Banach space X. Assuming some regularity of Hölder type in x and Mihlin type in ξ we prove L p (? n ;X) boundedness of such operators. We study boundary trace embedding theorems for variable exponent Sobolev space W1,p(⋅)(Ω). Let Ω be an open (bounded or unbounded) domain in RN satisfying strong local Lipschitz condition. Under the hypotheses that pL(Ω), 1?infp(x)?supp(x)<N, |∇p|∈Lγ(⋅)(Ω), where γL(Ω) and infγ(x)>N, we prove that there is a continuous boundary trace embedding W1,p(⋅)(Ω)→Lq(⋅)(∂Ω) provided q(⋅), a measurable function on ∂Ω, satisfies condition for x∈∂Ω.  相似文献

By L Φ(I, X), let us denote the space of all X-valued Bochner Orlicz integrable functions on the unit interval I equipped with the Luxemburg norm. A closed bounded subset G of X is called remotal if for any x ∈ X, there exists g ∈ G such that ‖x ? g‖ = ρ(x, G) = sup {‖x ? y‖: y ∈ G}. We study the Riesz potentials Iαf on the generalized Lebesgue spaces Lp(·)(?d), where 0 < α < d and Iαf(x) ? ∫equation/tex2gif-inf-3.gif |f(y)| |xy|αd dy. Under the assumptions that p locally satisfies |p(x) – p(x)| ≤ C/(– ln |xy|) and is constant outside some large ball, we prove that Iα : Lp(·)(?d) → Lp?(·)(?d), where . If p is given only on a bounded domain Ω with Lipschitz boundary we show how to extend p to on ?d such that there exists a bounded linear extension operator ? : W1,p(·)(Ω) ? (?d), while the bounds and the continuity condition of p are preserved. As an application of Riesz potentials we prove the optimal Sobolev embeddings Wk,p(·)(?d) ?Lp*(·)(Rd) with and W1,p(·)(Ω) ? Let X be a rearrangement invariant function space on [0,1]. We consider the Rademacher multiplicator space Λ(R,X) of all measurable functions x such that xhX for every a.e. converging series h=∑anrnX, where (rn) are the Rademacher functions. We study the situation when Λ(R,X) is a rearrangement invariant space different from L. Particular attention is given to the case when X is an interpolation space between the Lorentz space Λ(φ) and the Marcinkiewicz space M(φ). Consequences are derived regarding the behaviour of partial sums and tails of Rademacher series in function spaces.  相似文献

Let (Rn,|⋅|,dγ) be the Gauss measure metric space, where Rn denotes the n-dimensional Euclidean space, |⋅| the Euclidean norm and for all xRn the Gauss measure. In this paper, for any a∈(0,∞), the authors introduce some BLOa(γ) space, namely, the space of functions with bounded lower oscillation associated with a given class of admissible balls with parameter a. Then the authors prove that the noncentered local natural Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator is bounded from BMO(γ) of Mauceri and Meda to BLOa(γ). Moreover, a characterization of the space BLOa(γ), via the local natural maximal operator and BMO(γ), is given. The authors further prove that a class of maximal singular integrals, including the corresponding maximal operators of both imaginary powers of the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator and Riesz transforms of any order associated with the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator, are bounded from L(γ) to BLOa(γ).  相似文献

Given a vector measure ν with values in a Banach space X, we consider the space L1(ν) of real functions which are integrable with respect to ν. We prove that every order continuous Banach function space Y continuously contained in L1(ν) is generated via a certain positive map related to ν and defined on X* x M, where X* is the dual space of X and M the space of measurable functions. This procedure provides a way of defining Orlicz spaces with respect to the vector measure ν.  相似文献

Some atomic decomposition theorems are proved in vector-valued weak martingale Hardy spaces w p Σα(X), w p Q α(X) and wD α(X). As applications of atomic decompositions, a sufficient condition for sublinear operators defined on some vector-valued weak martingale Hardy spaces to be bounded is given. In particular, some weak versions of martingale inequalities for the operators f*, S (p)(f) and σ(p)(f) are obtained. It is proved using positive definite functions that a normed spaceX is unifomly homeomorphic to a subset of a Hilbert space, if and only ifX is (linearly) isomorphic to a subspace of aL 0(μ) space (=the space of the measurable functions on a probability space with convergence in probability). As a result we get thatl p (respectivelyL p (0, 1)), 2<p<∞, is not uniformly embedded in a bounded subset of itself. This answers negatively the question whether every infinite dimensional Banach space is uniformly homeomorphic to a bounded subset of itself. We prove the boundedness of the maximal operator Mr in the spaces L^p(·)(Г,p) with variable exponent p(t) and power weight p on an arbitrary Carleson curve under the assumption that p(t) satisfies the log-condition on Г. We prove also weighted Sobolev type L^p(·)(Г, p) → L^q(·)(Г, p)-theorem for potential operators on Carleson curves.  相似文献
