Accuracy in measuring displacement in optical interferometers is limited by cyclic errors introduced by various leakage paths within the system. Existing techniques to reduce this nonlinearity do not work when there is large optical loss in the target path, such as for long-range measurements. We describe a new approach to reducing nonlinearity that overcomes these limitations. Based on phase modulation of the laser light, and requiring minimal additional components, experiments have demonstrated rejection of the effects of leakage in the presence of large optical loss.  相似文献

利用结合完美匹配层(PML)边界的有限差分法计算了光波导的泄漏损耗.通过采用非均匀格点差分格式和反正切坐标变换的方法,有效地减小了计算量并提高了计算精度.分析了PI(polyimide)掩埋型波导和SOI(silicon-on-insulator)脊型波导两种典型结构的泄漏损耗,给出了波导结构尺寸对泄漏损耗的影响,并对有效减小泄漏损耗的方法进行了讨论.  相似文献

研制了一种基于Sagnac干涉仪的分布式光纤传感器,可实时进行管道泄漏检测与定位.阐述了该传感技术的工作原理和泄漏点定位方法,并推导了泄漏引起的光信号相位变化表达式。管道泄漏实验结果表明,水压为0.3MPa时,该技术能有效地检测到管道泄漏的发生并准确定位。  相似文献

由于涡旋光具有轨道角动量,将它应用于光纤通信领域可以有效提高信息传输速率.设计了一种环形光子晶体光纤,利用COMSOL Multiphysics软件对其涡旋光TE01,HE±21和TM01模式特性进行模拟计算,它们之间有效折射率差分别为4.59×10~(-4)和3.62×10~(-4);其中,TE01模式的涡旋光在入射光波长范围为1650—1950 nm时,色散值在44.18—45.83 ps·nm~(-1)·km~(-1)之间平坦;入射光波长在1550 nm时,TE01模式的涡旋光的非线性系数为1.37 W~(-1)·km~(-1).该结构的光子晶体光纤的涡旋光具有损耗小、色散平坦等特性,对光纤中传输涡旋光、将涡旋光应用于超连续谱等方面的研究具有重要意义.  相似文献

介绍了血液体外循环治疗仪工作原理. 对含不同浓度血浆的血液体外循环治疗仪废弃液进行了紫外吸收光谱的实验研究, 发现此混合液在278 nm左右存在明显的吸收峰. 在血浆紫外吸收光谱的实验基础上, 开发出了与血液体外循环治疗仪配套的血浆泄漏监测系统. 血浆浓度在0~0.06 ml/ml连续变化的废弃液的监测实验结果表明此系统具有较高的灵敏度. 在血浆浓度为0 ml/ml、0.015 ml/ml、0.03 ml/ml时的连续监测实验结果显示此系统具有良好的稳定性. 结论表明基于紫外吸收光谱的血浆泄漏监测系统用于血液体外循环治疗仪治疗过程中的血浆泄漏监测是完全可靠的.  相似文献

Conventional and scanning near-field optical microscopy techniques are cross referenced to femtosecond nonlinear-optical measurements and finite-element numerical simulations to visualize and analyze a strong confinement of electromagnetic radiation in guided modes of a photonic-crystal fiber with only a few air holes surrounding the fiber core. A nonlinear coefficient of about 120 W−1 km−1 is achieved at the wavelength of 670 nm for a fused-silica fiber with a full hexagonal cycle of closely packed air holes around the fiber core. The removal of a single element from this array of air holes is shown to frustrate field confinement in guided modes, leading to mode leakage.  相似文献

A tapered fiber with a depressed-index outer ring is fabricated and dispersion engineered to generate a widely tunable (1250-1650 nm) fundamental-mode leakage loss with a high cutoff slope (-1.2 dB/nm) and a high attenuation for stop band (>50 dB) by modification of both waveguide and material dispersions. The higher cutoff slope is achieved with a larger cross angle between the two refractive index dispersion curves of the tapered fiber and surrounding optical liquids through the use of depressed-index outer ring structures in double-cladding fibers.  相似文献

We have developed a near-field optical probe that uses a triangular metallic plate with a three-dimensionally tapered apex as a light source for thermally assisted magnetic recording. Numerical analysis using a finite-element method shows that the size of the optical spot generated at the apex is 15 nm x 20 nm, and the efficiency (defined as the ratio between the power of the optical near field at the surface of the recording medium and that of the incident light) is 15% when the incident light is focused by a lens with a numerical aperture of 0.8. The metallic plate was fabricated on the surface of a quartz slider and used for writing marks on a phase change recording medium. The marks were observed with a scanning electron microscope, and we confirmed that marks with a diameter of 40 nm were successfully written on the medium.  相似文献

As a precautionary measure, it is often recommended that workers take steps to reduce their exposure to airborne nanoparticles through the use of respiratory protective devices. The purpose of this study was to provide a review and analysis of the research literature and current recommendations on respirators used for protection against nanoparticles. Key research findings were that studies with particles as small as 4 nm have shown that conventional single-fiber filtration theory can be used to describe the filtration performance of respirators and that the most penetrating particle size for respirators equipped with commonly used electrostatic filter media is in the range of 30–100 nm. Future research needs include human laboratory and workplace protection factor studies to measure the respirator total inward leakage of nanoparticles. Industrial hygienists and safety professionals should continue to use traditional respirator selection guidance for workers exposed to nanoparticles.  相似文献

探索制备纠缠光子对的新途径是量子光学领域的一个研究热点.从理论上证明在准周期极化 的光学超晶格晶体中的级联参量过程能够产生纠缠光子对.分别利用脉冲和连续的532nm抽运 光在一块准周期极化的 LiTaO3晶体中同时实现非简并参量下转换(产生信号光与闲置光 )与和频(闲置光与抽运光和频生成和频光)的级联参量过程,获得630nm的信号光与460nm 的和频光.指出信号光与和频光之间存在纠缠关联性质.该方案的优点是可产生短波长的纠缠 光子对. 关键词: 准相位匹配 级联参量过程 光量子纠缠态  相似文献

解调飞机上变栅距光栅位移传感器的微型光谱仪在受到严重的高低温冲击后会出现温度漂移。针对航空领域中变栅距光栅位移传感器的解调系统研制了一种具有实时温度补偿功能的微型光纤光谱仪。为了实现实时温度补偿,分析了温度变化对微型光谱仪的影响,并对传统的交叉式Czerny-Turner光路进行了优化,用ZEMAX软件模拟得到:在相同的受热产生的变形条件下,优化的C-T光路光谱漂移量相比优化前的更小且整体漂移线性度更好。在此基础上提出了一种引入参考光来实现实时温度补偿的方法,并最终基于改进的C-T光路制作了一个体积为80 mm×70 mm×70 mm、工作波段在500~1 000 nm、积分时间为8 ms~1 000 ms、光学分辨率约为2 nm的微型光纤光谱仪,用实验验证了优化的C-T光路的光谱温度漂移情况及温度补偿方案的可行性。实验结果表明在近60 ℃范围内的温度冲击下,研制的微型光谱仪能够达到波长标准误差小于0.1 nm,波长最大误差小于传感器系统所要求的0.3 nm,满足初始的设计要求。该微型光谱仪的创新之处在于采用了优化的交叉式C-T光路作为色散系统且基于引入参考光的方法实现了实时温度补偿功能。  相似文献

A near-field optical system is investigated to improve the transmission efficiency of near-field transducers. A ridge waveguide is placed adjacent to a solid immersion lens (SIL) but separated by a low-index dielectric layer. The incident electric field near the focus of the SIL is determined by the Richards-Wolf vector field equations. The finite element method is used to solve Maxwell's equations. A spot size of 31 nm is obtained. The maximum value of the absorbed optical power density in the recording medium is 7.51 x 10(-4) mW/nm3 for a 100 mW input power.  相似文献

When using laser interferometer to detect surface acoustic wave at fluid–solid interface, there are two factors which will cause the optical path length variation of the probe laser beam: interface deformation, and refractive index changes in fluid induced by acoustic leakage. Influence of acoustic leakage on laser interferometric detection for surface acoustic wave is researched here. A metal plate immersed in an infinite fluid is used as a physical model. Interface deformation due to laser-induced acoustic wave and pressure in fluid due to acoustic leakage are computed for select cases by finite element method. The optical path length variation caused by the two factors are calculated respectively and compared. The results show that the influence of acoustic leakage increases with the increasing acoustic impedance matching of fluid and solid, the peak-to-peak of influence degree increases linearly with the increasing acoustic impedance of fluid, and that decreasing the distance between the interferometer and interface can effectively reduce the influence of acoustic leakage.  相似文献

The generation of a flat supercontinuum of over 80nm in the 1550nm region by injecting 1.6ps 10 GHz repetition rate optical pulses into an 80-m-long dispersion-flattened microstructure fibre is demonstrated. The fibre has small normal dispersion with a variation smaller than 1.5 (ps·nm^-1·km^-1) between 1500 and 1650nm. The generated supercontinuum ranging from 1513 to 1591 nm has the flatness of ±1.5 dB and it is not so flat in the range of several nanometres around the pump wavelength 1552nm. Numerical simulation is also used to study the effect of optical loss, fibre parameters and pumping conditions on supercontinuum generation in the dispersion-flattened microstructure fibre, and can be used for further optimization to generate flat broad spectra.  相似文献

A novel octagonal structure of photodiodes using standard CMOS technology has been developed to serve as a de-multiplexer for spatially multiplexed fiber optic communication systems. Concentric photodiodes of six different structure types are investigated for this purpose. The responsivity of the fabricated devices lies within ten percent of the theoretical values at 660 nm. The concept is demonstrated for silicon and the geometry can be extended to other materials commonly used in optical communications. This presents structural details, device model and equivalent circuits for these devices. Test results for detector responsivity, leakage currents and quantum efficiency are also presented.  相似文献

A vertical-access passive all-optical gate has been used to improve the extinction ratio of a 160 GHz pico-second pulse train at 1555 nm. An extinction ratio enhancement of 6 dB is observed within an 8 nm bandwidth. Such a device is a promising candidate for low-cost all optical reamplication and reshaping (2R) regeneration at 160 Gbits/s.  相似文献

We report significant enhancement (+24 dB) of the optical beat note between a 657 nm cw laser and the second-harmonic generation of the tailored continuum at 1314 nm generated with a femtosecond Cr:forsterite laser and a nonlinear fiber Bragg grating. The same continuum is used to stabilize the carrier-envelope offset frequency of the Cr:forsterite femtosecond laser and permits improved optical stabilization of the frequency comb from 1.0 to 2.2 microm. Using a common optical reference at 657 nm, a relative fractional frequency instability of 2.0 x 10(-15) is achieved between the repetition rates of Cr:forsterite and Ti:sapphire laser systems in 10 s averaging time. The fractional frequency offset between the optically stabilized frequency combs of the Cr:forsterite and Ti:sapphire lasers is +/-(0.024 +/- 6.1) x 10(-17).  相似文献

合成了一种新型的发光材料水杨醛缩苯胺锌(SAZ),利用真空热蒸镀制备了高质量、纳米级薄膜,利用红外光谱、差热-热重谱、X射线衍射谱、UV-Vis吸收谱、荧光光谱研究了水杨醛缩苯胺锌及其薄膜的结构、晶态、热稳定性以及光学特性,并利用循环伏安法、UV-Vis吸收谱确定了该材料的能级结构。结果表明,水杨醛缩苯胺锌无定性薄膜具有较高的热稳定性,在紫外光激发下产生绿色荧光,色纯度高, 亮度高。水杨醛缩苯胺锌薄膜在大气环境下存放,荧光衰减比8-羟基喹啉铝快,但受紫外光照射时,荧光衰减比8-羟基喹啉铝慢。水杨醛缩苯胺锌的HOMO能级为-5.659 eV,LUMO能级为-3.054 eV,禁带宽度为2.604 eV。  相似文献

For a projection objective of a lithographic setup designed for the wavelength range λ = 13 nm, optical distortions of its mirror components should not exceed a value of about 1 nm. The fabrication of mirrors of such an optical quality is very expensive. We have studied the possibility of using the thermal deformation of an optical element to improve the quality of its surface shape. It is shown, in particular, that, with this method, quasistatic large-scale (no smaller than 20% of the element diameter) optical distortions with an amplitude of about 15 nm can be compensated with an error up to 0.5 nm, that is, λ/20–λ/30.  相似文献
