An approach for realizing conditional phase gate for two atoms separately trapped in two distant cavities mediated by an optical fiber is proposed. Utilizing the adiabatic passage, the atomic spontaneous emission, and the decays of the fiber and cavities are avoided under certain condition. The effects of the losses in the fiber and cavities on the fidelity are analyzed. Moreover, our scheme is not restricted to Lamb-Dicke limit. We also generalize the approach to generate one-dimensional cluster state and entangled state for two collections of atoms.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed for generating maximally entangled states for three atoms trapped in a two-mode cavity. The scheme is based on resonant atom-cavity interaction and linear optics elements. The fidelity of the entangled state is not affected by both the decoherence and detection inefficiencies. The scheme works beyond the strong-coupling regime, which is important for high-fidelity entanglement engineering under realistic conditions.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement transfer from a bipartite non-Gaussian continuous-variable (CV) system to a pair of localized qubits. The non-Gaussian state is obtained by the de-Gaussification process involving subtracting photons from or adding photons to a Gaussian field. It is shown that such de-Gaussification process can improve the entanglement transfer.  相似文献

Continuous variable entanglement and violation of Bell inequality for two modes are investigated in a three-level cascade atomic system. Entanglement of the system is demonstrated according to the entanglement criterion [Phys. Rev. Lett. 84 (2000)2722]. Violation of Bell inequality is studied within the framework of a quantum theory of multiwave mixing. It is shown that there are some states that are entangled but do not violate the Bell inequality.  相似文献

We propose a new scheme to achieve the tripartite entanglement based on the standard criteria [Phys. Rev. A 67(2003) 052315] in a inverse-tripod atomic system. In our scheme, the atomic coherence is introduced by two microwave fields which drive the upper three levels of atom. By numerically simulating the dynamics of system, we investigate the generation and evolution of entanglement in the presence of atom and cavity decay. As a result, the present research provides an efficient approach to achieve fully tripartite entanglement with different frequencies and initial states for each entangled mode, which may have impact on the progress of multicolored multi-notes quantum information networks.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for optical realization of deterministic entanglement concentration of polarized photons. To overcome the difficulty due to the lack of sufficiently strong interactions between photons, teleportation is employed to transfer the polarization states of two photons onto the path and polarization states of a third photon, which is made possible by the recent experimental realization of the deterministic and complete Bell state measurement. Then the required positive operator-valued measurement and further operations can be implemented deterministically by using a linear optical setup. All these are within the reach of current technology.  相似文献

A scheme is proposed for generating three-dimensional maximally entangled states for two atoms. In the scheme the atoms are trapped in a two-mode cavity. The scheme only requires a single resonant interaction of the atoms with the cavity modes. Therefore, the scheme is very simple and required interaction time is very short, which is important in view of decoherence.  相似文献

We propose a method to prepare multipartite entangled states such as cluster states and graph states based on the cavity input-output process and single photon measurement. Two quantum gates, a controlled phase gate and a fusion gate between two atoms trapped in respective cavities, are proposed to prepare atomic cluster states and graph states with one and two dimensions. We also introduce a scheme that can generate an arbitrary multipartite photon duster state which uses two coherent states as a qubit basis.  相似文献

It has recently been shown that correlated spontaneous emission lasers (CEL) exhibit transient entanglement in the linear regime. Here we re-examine the quantum correlations in two-photon CEL and explore the saturation effects on continuous variable entanglement. It is shown that the steady state entanglement is obtainable in the weak or moderate saturation regime, while is washed out in the deep saturation regime.  相似文献

研究由两个相同的二能级原子分别处于用单模光纤耦合的两弱相干光场系统的共生纠缠特性, 通过数值计算研究了光纤模-腔模与原子-腔模的耦合强度比、弱相干光场的强度和两光场相对相位差等因素对系统纠缠演化的影响. 结果表明: 两腔中的两原子之间、两光场之间和每个腔中的原子与光场之间的纠缠随时间呈现周期或准周期性演化, 两腔场之间的纠缠与腔中的两原子的纠缠可以相互转换, 与两原子之间和两光场之间的纠缠相比, 每个腔中光场与原子之间的纠缠随时间变化的周期缩短. 光纤模-腔模与原子-腔模的耦合强度比与两腔中光场相位差对系统纠缠的影响很大, 较小的光纤模-腔模与原子-腔模的耦合强度之比可以获得较大的系统纠缠度. 关键词: 弱相干场 光纤耦合腔 耦合强度 量子纠缠  相似文献

Entanglement is realized in asymmetric coupled double quantum wells (DQWs) trapped in a doubly resonant cavity by means of Fano-type interference through a tunneling barrier, which is different from the previous studies on entanglement induced by strong external driven fields in atomic media. We investigate the generation and evolution of entanglement and show that the strength of Fano interference can influence effectively the degree of the entanglement between two cavity modes and the enhanced entanglement can be generated in this DQW system. The present investigation may provide research opportunities in quantum entangled experiments in the DQW solid-state nanostructures and may result in a substantial impact on the technology for entanglement engineering in quantum information processing.  相似文献

Recently, Yeo and Chua introduced a genuine four-qubit entangled state |χ〉 which can implement perfect teleportation of an arbitrary two-qubit state [Y. Yeo, W.K. Chua, Phys. Rev. Lett. 96 (2006) 060502]. It has been shown that the state |χ〉 is inequivalent to the well-known Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state, W state, and linear cluster state, in terms of stochastic local operations and classical communication [C.F. Wu, Y. Yeo, L.C. Kwek, C.H. Oh, Phys. Rev. A 75 (2007) 032332]. This “new” class of state has many interesting entanglement properties and possible applications in quantum-information processing and fundamental tests of quantum mechanics. Here, we propose a simple scheme to generate the state |χ〉 in cavity quantum electrodynamics. Our idea may be helpful for in-depth study on such a class of state and its practical applications.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for realizing conventional geometric quantum phase gates in the context of cavity QED. During the operation neither the atomic system nor the cavity mode is excited, which is important in view of decoherence. The scheme does not require detection of photons, so the gate operation is deterministic and the influence of photodetection imperfection is eliminated. Taking advantage of the geometric manipulation, the phase gate is resilient to fluctuations of experimental parameters.  相似文献

This paper presents a treatment of the entanglement transfer between atoms in two distant cavities coupled by an optical fibre. If the atoms resonantly and collectively interact with the local single-mode cavity fields and the dipole--dipole interaction between the atoms is neglected, then it shows that a complete transfer of entanglement from one pair of atoms to another can be deterministically realized. Furthermore, it also investigates the effects of dipole--dipole interaction on entanglement transfer on the condition that the interaction between the atoms and the cavity is much weaker than the coupling between the cavity and the fibre.  相似文献

We consider a theoretical scheme for entanglement transfer between a two-mode squeezed vacuum field and two initially separable atoms through intensity-dependent couplings. We find that the entanglement transfer between the field and the atoms has an exact period for any given squeezing. We also find that the maximum achievable entanglement of the atomic subsystem is a simple increasing function of r.For sufficiently large squeezing parameter r, it is possible for the atoms to be entangled into a Bell state at half the periodic time points.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate a non-local generation of entanglement from two independent photonic sources in an ancilla-free process. Two bosons (photons) are entangled in polarization space by steering into a novel interferometer setup, in which they have never met each other. The entangled photons are delivered to polarization analyzers in different sites, respectively, and a non-local interaction is observed. Entanglement is further verified by the way of the measured violation of a CHSH type Bell's inequality with S-values of 2.54 and 27 standard deviations. Our results will shine a new light onto the understanding of how quantum mechanics works, have possible philosophic consequences on the one hand and provide an essential element for quantum information processing on the other hand. Potential applications of our results are briefly discussed.  相似文献

We show that entanglement concentration of unknown atomic entangled states is achieved via the implementation of entanglement swapping based on Raman interaction in cavity QED. A maximally entangled state is obtained from a pair of partially entangled states probabilistically. Due to Raman interaction of two atoms with a cavity mode and an external driving field, the influence of atomic spontaneous emission has been eliminated. Because of the virtual excitation of the cavity mode, the decoherence of cavity decay and thermal field is neglected.  相似文献

Two schemes are proposed for generating atomic qubits cluster states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). In the first scheme, only two-atom-cavity interactions are involved, and cluster states can be directly generated by using constructed two-qubit controlled phase gates. The second scheme needs the assistance of additional single-qubit rotations, but takes less time than the first one for two-atom operations in the cavity. In this scheme, two projective operators are constructed to prepare two-dimension or more complicated configurations of cluster states. Both schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay due to the fact that the cavity is only virtually excited during the interaction between atoms and the cavity. The idea can also be applied to the ion trap system.  相似文献

We study the effect of a thermal reservoir on the squeezing transfer and entanglement between two identical harmonic oscillators, caused by a bilinear coupling of the RWA type. We analyze the evolution of the invariant squeezing coefficients of each mode for arbitrary initially factorized mixed states, as well as the separability coefficient based on Simon's criterion for Gaussian states. We show the importance of initial squeezing for the emergence of entanglement and the existence of critical temperatures above which no squeezing transfer or entanglement are possible.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for teleportation of an unknown two-qubit entangled state via trapped ions. In this scheme, we use the GHZ state as a quantum channel and the success probability can reach 1. The distinct advantage of our scheme is insensitive to the heating of the vibrational mode. In addition, Bell-state measurement is not required.  相似文献
