Image encryption with chaotically coupled chaotic maps   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We present a novel secure cryptosystem for direct encryption of color images, based on chaotically coupled chaotic maps. The proposed cipher provides good confusion and diffusion properties that ensures extremely high security because of the chaotic mixing of pixels’ colors. Information is mixed and distributed over a complete image using a complex strategy that makes known plaintext attack unfeasible. The encryption algorithm guarantees the three main goals of cryptography: strong cryptographic security, short encryption/decryption time, and robustness against noise and other external disturbances. Due to the high speed, the proposed cryptosystem is suitable for application in real-time communication systems.  相似文献

In 1998, M.S. Baptista proposed a chaotic cryptosystem using the ergodicity property of the simple low-dimensional and chaotic logistic equation. Since then, many cryptosystems based on Baptista's work have been proposed. However, over the years research has shown that this cryptosystem is predictable and vulnerable to attacks and is widely discussed. Among the weaknesses are the non-uniform distribution of ciphertexts and succumbing to the one-time pad attack (a type of chosen plaintext attack). In this Letter, our objective is to modify the chaotic cryptographic scheme proposed previously. We use a matrix secret key such that the cryptosystem would no longer succumb to the one-time pad attack.  相似文献

This Letter describes how to determine the parameter of the chaotic Lorenz system used in a two-channel cryptosystem. First the geometrical properties of the Lorenz system are used to reduce the parameter search space. Second the parameters are exactly determined—directly from the ciphertext—through the minimization of the average jamming noise power created by the encryption process.  相似文献

Synchronization of fractional-order nonlinear systems has received considerable attention for many research activities in recent years. In this Letter, we consider the synchronization between two nonidentical fractional-order systems. Based on the open-plus-closed-loop control method, a general coupling applied to the response system is proposed for synchronizing two nonidentical incommensurate fractional-order systems. We also derive a local stability criterion for such synchronization behavior by utilizing the stability theory of linear incommensurate fractional-order differential equations. Feasibility of the proposed coupling scheme is illustrated through numerical simulations of a limit cycle system, a chaotic system and a hyperchaotic system.  相似文献

We investigate different types of synchronization between two unidirectionally nonlinearly coupled identical delay- differential systems related to optical bistable or hybrid optical bistable devices. This system can represent some kinds of delay-differential models, i.e. Ikeda model, Vall~e model, sine-square model, Mackey Glass model, and so on. We find existence and sufficient stability conditions by theoretical analysis and test the correctness by" numerical simulations. Lag, complete and anticipating synchronization are observed, respectively. It is found that the time-delay system can be divided into two parts~ one is the instant term and the other is the delay term. Synchronization between two identical chaotic systems can be derived by adding a coupled term to the delay term in the driven system.  相似文献

In this Letter we numerically investigate the dynamics of a system of two coupled chaotic multimode Nd:YAG lasers with two mode and three mode outputs. Unidirectional and bidirectional coupling schemes are adopted; intensity time series plots, phase space plots and synchronization plots are used for studying the dynamics. Quality of synchronization is measured using correlation index plots. It is found that for laser with two mode output bidirectional direct coupling scheme is found to be effective in achieving complete synchronization, control of chaos and amplification in output intensity. For laser with three mode output, bidirectional difference coupling scheme gives much better chaotic synchronization as compared to unidirectional difference coupling but at the cost of higher coupling strength. We also conclude that the coupling scheme and system properties play an important role in determining the type of synchronization exhibited by the system.  相似文献

The purpose of this Letter is to show how a border-collision bifurcation in a piecewise-smooth dynamical system can produce a direct transition from a stable equilibrium point to a two-dimensional invariant torus. Considering a system of nonautonomous differential equations describing the behavior of a power electronic DC/DC converter, we first determine the chart of dynamical modes and show that there is a region of parameter space in which the system has a single stable equilibrium point. Under variation of the parameters, this equilibrium may collide with a discontinuity boundary between two smooth regions in phase space. When this happens, one can observe a number of different bifurcation scenarios. One scenario is the continuous transformation of the stable equilibrium into a stable period-1 cycle. Another is the transformation of the stable equilibrium into an unstable period-1 cycle with complex conjugate multipliers, and the associated formation of a two-dimensional (ergodic or resonant) torus.  相似文献

Global chaos synchronization of two identical nonlinear transducer systems is investigated via linear state error feedback control. The sufficient criterion for global chaos synchronization is derived firstly by the Gerschgorin disc theorem and the stability theory of linear time-varied systems. Then this sufficient criterion is further optimized in the sense of reducing the lower bounds of the coupling coefficients with two methods, one based on Gerschgorin disc theorem itself and the other based on Lyapunov direct method. Finally, two optimized criteria are compared theoretically.  相似文献

Considering a set of two coupled nonautonomous differential equations with discontinuous right-hand sides describing the behavior of a DC/DC power converter, we discuss a border-collision bifurcation that can lead to the birth of a two-dimensional invariant torus from a stable node equilibrium point. We obtain the chart of dynamic modes and show that there is a region of parameter space in which the system has a single stable node equilibrium point. Under variation of the parameters, this equilibrium may disappear as it collides with a discontinuity boundary between two smooth regions in the phase space. The disappearance of the equilibrium point is accompanied by the soft appearance of an unstable focus period-1 orbit surrounded by a resonant or ergodic torus.Detailed numerical calculations are supported by a theoretical investigation of the normal form map that represents the piecewise linear approximation to our system in the neighbourhood of the border. We determine the functional relationships between the parameters of the normal form map and the actual system and illustrate how the normal form theory can predict the bifurcation behaviour along the border-collision equilibrium-torus bifurcation curve.  相似文献

We compare two methods for detecting phase synchronization in coupled non-phase-coherent oscillators. One method is based on the locking of self-sustained oscillators with an irregular signal. The other uses trajectory recurrences in phase space. We identify the pros and cons of both methods and propose guidelines to detect phase synchronization in data series.  相似文献

This Letter introduces a new chaotic member to the three-dimensional smooth autonomous quadratic system family, which derived from the classical Lorenz system but exhibits a three-scroll chaotic attractor. Interestingly, the two other scrolls are symmetry related with respect to the z-axis as for the Lorenz attractor, but the third scroll of this three-scroll chaotic attractor is around the z-axis. Some basic dynamical properties, such as Lyapunov exponents, fractal dimension, Poincaré map and chaotic dynamical behaviors of the new chaotic system are investigated, either numerically or analytically. The obtained results clearly show this is a new chaotic system and deserves further detailed investigation.  相似文献

There are many hyperchaotic systems, but few systems can generate hyperchaotic attractors with more than three PLEs (positive Lyapunov exponents). A new hyperchaotic system, constructed by adding an approximate time-delay state feedback to a five-dimensional hyperchaotic system, is presented. With the increasing number of phase-shift units used in this system, the number of PLEs also steadily increases. Hyperchaotic attractors with 25 PLEs can be generated by this system with 32 phase-shift units. The sum of the PLEs will reach the maximum value when 23 phase-shift units are used. A simple electronic circuit, consisting of 16 operational amplifiers and two analogy multipliers, is presented for confirming hyperchaos of order 5, i.e., with 5 PLEs.  相似文献

In this Letter, an electrical circuit is built for realizing the multi-state intermittency generated by a simple force-driven chaotic system. The intermittency phenomenon and its underlaying mechanism are analyzed, and the experimental results are discussed. It is shown that, with two classes of invariant subspaces, the number of the laminar states and the distance between the adjacent laminar states of the created multi-state on-off intermittency can be arbitrarily changed by manipulating the control parameters.  相似文献

The synchronization and pattern dynamics of coupled logistic maps on a certain type of complex network, constructed by adding random shortcuts to a regular ring, is investigated. For parameters where an isolated map is fully chaotic, the defect turbulence, which is dominant in the regular network, can be tamed into ordered periodic patterns or synchronized chaotic states when random shortcuts are added, and the patterns formed on the complex network can be grouped into two or three branches depending on the coupling strength.  相似文献

In this Letter a novel three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system is proposed. Of particular interest is that this novel system can generate two, three and four-scroll chaotic attractors with variation of a single parameter. By applying either analytical or numerical methods, basic properties of the system, such as dynamical behaviors (time history and phase diagrams), Poincaré mapping, bifurcation diagram and Lyapunov exponents are investigated to observe chaotic motions. The obtained results clearly show that this is a new chaotic system which deserves further detailed investigation.  相似文献

Some scaling properties for a classical particle confined to bounce between two walls, where one wall is fixed and the other one moves in time according to a random signal with a memory length are studied. We have considered two different kinds of collisions of the particle with the moving wall namely: (i) elastic and (ii) inelastic. The dynamics of the model is described in terms of a two-dimensional nonlinear mapping. For the case of elastic collisions, we show that the memory of the stochastic signal affects directly the behaviour of the average velocity of the particle. It then exhibits different slopes for the average velocity at different stages of the series with β≅3/4 for a short time, β≅1 for the average stage and β≅1/2 for a long time, as predicted by the Central Limit Theorem, therefore leading to the Fermi acceleration. The situation where inelastic collisions are taken into account yields a more drastic change, particularly suppressing the Fermi acceleration.  相似文献

A sliding mode adaptive synchronization controller is presented with a neural network of radial basis function (RBF) for two chaotic systems. The uncertainty of the synchronization error system is approximated by the RBF neural network. The synchronization controller is given based on the output of the RBF neural network. The proposed controller can make the synchronization error convergent to zero in 5s and can overcome disruption of the uncertainty of the system and the exterior disturbance. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization control method.  相似文献

This Letter investigates the synchronization problem of a complex network with nonidentical nodes, and proposes two effective control schemes to synchronize the network onto any smooth goal dynamics. By applying open-loop control to all nodes and placing adaptive feedback injections on a small fraction of network nodes, a low-dimensional sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the global synchronization of the complex network with nonidentical nodes. By introducing impulsive effects to the open-loop controlled network, another synchronization scheme is developed for the network composed of nonidentical nodes, and an upper bound of impulsive intervals is estimated to ensure the global stability of the synchronization process. Numerical simulations are given to verify the theoretical results.  相似文献
