The interference property of the fluorescence field from two nonidentical atoms driven by a laser field is investigated. It is found that there are differences for the intensity and the second-order correlation function between the two identical atoms system and the two nonidentical atoms system. It is shown that the intensity and the second-order correlation function have different behaviors under the weak laser field and the strong case for two identical atoms and two nonidentical atoms systems. 相似文献

The scattering of atoms by a resonance standing light wave is considered under conditions when the lower of two resonance levels is metastable, while the upper level rapidly decays due to mainly spontaneous radiative transitions to the nonresonance levels of an atom. The diffraction scattering regime is studied, when the Rabi frequency is sufficiently high and many diffraction maxima are formed due to scattering. The dynamics of spontaneous radiation of an atom is investigated. It is shown that scattering slows down substantially the radiative decay of the atom. The regions and characteristics of the power and exponential decay are determined. The adiabatic and nonadiabatic scattering regimes are studied. It is shown that the wave packets of atoms in the metastable and resonance excited states narrow down during scattering. A limiting (minimal) size of the wave packets is found, which is achieved upon nonadiabatic scattering in the case of a sufficiently long interaction time. 相似文献

bath. Then the entangled state representation is introduced to solve the simplified equation and the time evolution of density
operator, which turns out to be a mixed coherent squeezed state.

The interaction of a collection of N four-level tripod configuration atoms with two orthogonally polarized probe fields is investigated. Under the condition of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT), we calculate the squeezing and entanglement spectra of the output probe fields. By analyzing the output spectrum, we find that the squeezing and entanglement of the probe fields can be well-preserved after passing through the optically thick medium. Additionally, the effects of the ground state dephasing rates of the atoms on the entanglement and squeezing of the output two-mode squeezed fields are investigated. It is shown that the dephasing rates will degrade the entanglement and squeezing, and these quantum properties can be lost when the dephasing rates increase up to a certain value. This will be useful in the quantum computation and quantum communication. 相似文献

The speckle structure of a light field resulting from laser radiation scattering by human eye retina is analyzed. The presence of a speckle structure in the radiation scattered by an eye substantially impedes wave-front measurements in the study of aberrations. Two methods for suppressing such a structure based on the spatial and spectral averaging of the realizations of the speckle field are considered. The results of the theoretical calculation and numerical simulation are in agreement with the experimental data. 相似文献

We present a novel way to produce squeezed light in an optical cavity. The main idea is to transfer vibrational squeezing from the motion of a trapped ion to the photons in a cavity. We use the dipolar coupling of the motion of a three-level ion with one cavity mode and two different kind of pumps. The first pump is an oscillating electric field that drives the ion into a vibrational squeezed state. The second pump consists of two lasers resonant with the ionic levels that makes the transfer possible. 相似文献

The reflection and transmission of a light wave normally incident on a layer with a regular magnetic inhomogeneity described by a harmonic function are investigated. 利用多光子J C模型,考虑场频率随时间以正弦函数形式作小量变化,在旋波近似下,研究了二能级原子通过多光子跃迁与单模辐射场相互作用系统中场的压缩效应.利用数值计算方法讨论了场频率变化的幅值和角频率、以及光场强度对场压缩效应的影响.结果表明:随场频率变化的幅值增大,场压缩效应增强;随光场初始平均光子数的增加,场压缩效应减弱.场正交分量的均方涨落随时间的演化受场频率随时间正弦函数形式变化的调制,场频率变化的幅值越大调制作用越强. 相似文献

The concept of squeezing of the electromagnetic field is investigated in fundamental mode in fifth harmonic generation with the approximation |gt|2?1, where g is coupling constant and t, the interaction time between waves during the process. It has been found that squeezing occurs in amplitude, amplitude-squared, amplitude-cubed and fourth-order amplitude states of the field for selective phase values of field amplitude of fundamental mode. The dependence of squeezing on the photon number has also been investigated and found to be sub-Poissonian in nature. The signal to noise ratio has been studied in different order. This review discusses the latest theoretical and experimental achievements in the resonant light pressure acting on the translational motion of atoms. Alongside with the effects due to the spontaneous light pressure (atomic deflection, velocity bunching, cooling), various manifestations of the effects of induced light pressure are considered in detail. This paper provides the theory and experiments of atoms scattering by a standing light wave under the conditions of coherent and non-coherent interaction, diffraction and interference of atomic beams. The problems where atomic motion along two trajectories and Landau-Zener transitions between them are essential, are studied. The kinetic phenomena (scattering, cooling, channeling) due to the motion of the particles exposed to gradient force and also friction and diffusion caused by spontaneous emission are considered. The influence of the recoil effect under spontaneous emission of atoms on non-linear polarization phenomena is discussed. 相似文献
