X-band and high-frequency EPR spectroscopy were used for studying the manganese environment in layered Li[MgxNi0.5−xMn0.5]O2, 0?x?0.5. Both layered LiMg0.5Mn0.5O2 and monoclinic Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 oxides (containing Mn4+ ions only) were used as EPR standards. The EPR study was extended to the Ni-substituted analogues, where both Ni2+ and Mn4+ are paramagnetic. For LiMg0.5−xNixMn0.5O2 and Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2, an EPR response from Mn4+ ions only was detected, while the Ni2+ ions remained EPR silent in the frequency range of 9.23-285 GHz. For the diamagnetically diluted oxides, LiMg0.25Ni0.25Mn0.5O2 and Li[Li0.10Ni0.35Mn0.55]O2, two types of Mn4+ ions located in a mixed (Mn-Ni-Li)-environment and in a Ni-Mn environment, respectively, were registered by high-field experiments. In the X-band, comparative analysis of the EPR line width of Mn4+ ions permits to extract the composition of the first coordination sphere of Mn in layered LiMg0.5−xNixMn0.5O2 (0?x?0.5) and Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2 (x>0.2). It was shown that a fraction of Mn4+ are in an environment resembling the ordered “α,β”-type arrangement in Li1−δ1Niδ1[Li(1−2x)/3+δ1Ni2x/3−δ1)α(Mn(2−x)/3Nix/3)β]O2 (where and δ1=0.06 were calculated), while the rest of Mn4+ are in the Ni,Mn-environment corresponding to the Li1−δ2Niδ2[Ni1−yMny]O2 () composition with a statistical Ni,Mn distribution. For Li[Li(1−2x)/3NixMn(2−x)/3]O2 with x?0.2, IR spectroscopy indicated that the ordered α,β-type arrangement is retained upon Ni introduction into monoclinic Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2.  相似文献

LiMnC2O4(Ac) precursor in which Li+ and Mn2+ were amalgamated in one molecule was prepared by solid-state reaction at room-temperature using manganese acetate, lithium hydroxide and oxalic acid as raw materials. By thermo-decomposition of LiMnC2O4(Ac) at various temperatures, a series of Li1+y[Mn2−xLix]16dO4 spinels were prepared with Li2MnO3 as impurities. The structure and phase transition of these spinels were investigated by XRD, TG/DTA, average oxidation state of Mn and cyclic voltammeric techniques. Results revealed that the Li-Mn-O spinels with high Li/Mn ratio were unstable at high temperature, and the phase transition was associated with the transfer of Li+ from octahedral 16c sites to 16d sites. With the sintering temperature increasing from 450 to 850 °C, the phase structure varied from lithiated-spinel Li2Mn2O4 to Li4Mn5O12-like to LiMn2O4-like and finally to rock-salt LiMnO2-like. A way of determining x with average oxidation state of Mn and the content of Li2MnO3 was also demonstrated.  相似文献

Superfine Li1−xMn2O4−σ powders were successfully synthesized by the alcohol-thermal method using 0.01 mol of MnO2, 0.01mol of LiOH·H2O, and 0.06mol of NaOH as starting materials at 160-200°C. The products are characterized by XRD, TEM, ED, BET, and ICP. Results show that the Li0.74Mn2O3.74 powder prepared at 200°C has an average size of 180 nm with BET surface areas of 16.44 m2/g. A possible formation mechanism is proposed. It was concluded that the alcohol acts not only as the solvent but also as the reducing agent in the synthesis of Li1−xMn2O4−σ powders. The effects of reaction temperature and the contents of NaOH and LiOH on the formation of single phase Li1−xMn2O4−σ were investigated.  相似文献

Cathode materials Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 for lithium secondary batteries have been prepared by a new route—precursor method of layered double hydroxides (LDHs). In situ high-temperature X-ray diffraction (HT-XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis coupled with mass spectrometry (TG-MS) were used to monitor the structural transformation during the reaction of CoMn LDHs and LiOH·H2O: firstly the layered structure of LDHs transformed to an intermediate phase with spinel structure; then the distortion of the structure occurred with the intercalation of Li+ into the lattice, resulting in the formation of layered Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 with α-NaFeO2 structure. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) data showed that the Co-O bonding length and the coordination number of Co were close to those of Mn in Li[CoxMn1−x]O2, which indicates that the local environments of the transitional metals are rather similar. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to measure the oxidation state of Co and Mn. The influences of Co/Mn ratio on both the structure and electrochemical property of Li[CoxMn1−x]O2 have been investigated by XRD and electrochemical tests. It has been found that the products synthesized by the precursor method demonstrated a rather stable cycling behavior, with a reversible capacity of 122.5 mAh g−1 for the layered material Li[Co0.80Mn0.20]O2.  相似文献

Spinel compound LiNi1−xMnxVO4 (0≤x≤0.4) had been prepared by using the moist chemical method. X-ray diffraction spectra showed that the lattice constant increased with x in the LiNi1−xMnxVO4, XPS spectra indicating that Li1s had a chemical shift towards lesser binding energy, and manganese in LiNi1−xMnxVO4 existing as the mixed valence of Mn2+ and Mn3+. The electrochemical charge and discharge testing at a current density of 0.1 mA/cm2 between the potentials of 4.0 and 3.0 V vs Li/Li+ in 1 mol/dm3 LiPF6/EC+DEC (1:1 by volume) at 25°C showed that LiNi1−xMnxVO4 cell has a better rechargeability, but a lower cell voltage of 4.0 V vs Li/Li+ than that without the doping sample, and the capacity and the cycle efficiency of the Li/LiNi1−xMnxVO4 cells increased with x in the LiNi1−xMnxVO4.  相似文献

A new 1:2 ordered perovskite La(Li1/3Ti2/3)O3 has been synthesized via solid-state techniques. At temperature >1185°C, Li and Ti are randomly distributed on the B-sites and the X-ray powder patterns can be indexed in a tilted (bbc+) Pbnm orthorhombic cell (a=ac√2=5.545 Å, b=ac√2=5.561 Å, c=2ac=7.835 Å). However, for T?1175°C, a 1:2 layered ordering of Li and Ti along 〈111〉c yields a structure with a P21/c monoclinic cell with a=ac√6=9.604 Å, b=ac√2=5.552 Å, c=ac3√2=16.661 Å, β=125.12°. While this type of order is well known in the A2+(B2+1/3B5+2/3)O3 family of niobates and tantalates, La(Li1/3Ti2/3)O3 is the first example of a titanate perovskite with a 1:2 ordering of cations on the B-sites.  相似文献

A new member of the A2MP2O7 diphosphate family, Li2MnP2O7, has been synthesized by solid-state reaction and characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Li2MnP2O7 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/a (#14) with the cell parameters a=9.9158(6) Å, b=9.8289(6) Å, c=11.1800(7) Å, β=102.466(5)°, Z=8 and V=1063.9(1) Å3. Its mixed framework exhibits an original Mn2O9 unit, built up of one MnO5 trigonal bipyramid sharing one edge with one MnO6 octahedron. These Mn2O9 units are sharing corners with P2O7 diphosphate groups, forming the undulating [Mn4P8O32] layers. The [MnP2O7] 3D framework, resulting from the interconnection of the undulating [Mn4P8O32] layers, exhibits different kinds of intersecting tunnels containing the Li cations.  相似文献

Phase relations in the MnO-SiO2-Li4SiO4 subsystem have been investigated by X-ray diffraction after solid-state reactions in hydrogen at 950-1150 °C. Both cation-deficient and cation-excess solid solutions Li2+2xMn1−xSiO4 (−0.2?x?0.2) based on Li2MnSiO4 have been found. According to Rietveld analysis, Li2MnSiO4 (monoclinic, P21/n, a=6.3368(1), b=10.9146(2), c=5.0730(1) Å, β=90.987(1)°) is isostructural with γII-Li2ZnSiO4 and low-temperature Li2MgSiO4. All components are in tetrahedral environment, (MnSiO4)2− framework is built of four-, six- and eight-member rings of tetrahedra. Testing Li2MnSiO4 in an electrochemical cell showed that only 4% Li could be extracted between 3.5 and 5 V against Li metal. These results are discussed in comparison with those for recently reported orthorhombic layered Li2MnSiO4 and other tetrahedral Li2MXO4 phases.  相似文献

High-pressure synthesis in an oxygen-rich atmosphere yields solid solutions between LiNiO2 and Li2NiO3 over the whole concentration range. Structural characterization of the high-pressure oxides was performed using powder XRD, SEM analysis, IR spectroscopy, EPR spectroscopy at 9.23 and 115 GHz and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The crystal structure of Li[LixNi1−x]O2 ,, changes from trigonal R-3m to monoclinic C2/m at Li-to-Ni ratio of 2 (or ). The incorporation of Li into NiO2-layers causes a decrease in the mean Li-O and Ni1-xLix-O bond distance. Li and Ni ions in the mixed Ni1-xLixO2-layers display a tendency to order at a short length scale in such a way that mimics the Li1/3Ni2/3-arrangment of the end Li[Li1/3Ni2/3]O2 composition. The charge distribution in these oxides proceeds via Ni3+ and Ni4+ ions.  相似文献

Mixed crystals of Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 have been obtained by evaporation from aqueous solution at 313 K using different molar ratios of mixtures of LiKSO4 and LiNH4SO4. The crystals were characterized by Raman scattering and single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. Two types of compound were obtained: Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 with x?0.94 and Li2KNH4(SO4)2. Different phases of Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4 were yielded according to the molar ratio used in the preparation. The first phase is isostructural to the room-temperature phase of LiKSO4. The second phase is the enantiomorph of the first, which is not observed in pure LiKSO4, and the last is a disordered phase, which was also observed in LiKSO4, and can be assumed as a mixture of domains of two preceding phases. In the second type of compound with formula Li2KNH4(SO4)2, the room-temperature phase is hexagonal, symmetry space group P63 with cell-volume nine times that of LiKSO4. In this phase, some cavities are occupied by K+ ions only, and others are occupied by either K+ or NH4+ at random. Thermal analyses of both types of compounds were performed by DSC, ATD, TG and powder X-ray diffraction. The phase transition temperatures for Li[Kx(NH4)1−x]SO4x?0.94 were affected by the random presence of the ammonium ion in this disordered system. The high-temperature phase of Li2KNH4(SO4)2 is also hexagonal, space group P63/mmc with the cell a-parameter double that of LiKSO4. The phase transition is at 471.9 K.  相似文献

The low-temperature topotactic reduction of La0.33Sr0.67MnO3 with NaH results in the formation of La0.33Sr0.67MnO2.42. A combination of neutron powder and electron diffraction data show that La0.33Sr0.67MnO2.42 adopts a novel anion-vacancy ordered structure with a 6-layer OOTOOT' stacking sequence of the ‘octahedral’ and tetrahedral layers (Pcmb, a=5.5804(1) Å, b=23.4104(7) Å, c=11.2441(3) Å). A significant concentration of anion vacancies at the anion site, which links neighbouring ‘octahedral’ layers means that only 25% of the ‘octahedral’ manganese coordination sites actually have 6-fold MnO6 coordination, the remainder being MnO5 square-based pyramidal sites. The chains of cooperatively twisted apex-linked MnO4 tetrahedra adopt an ordered -L-R-L-R- arrangement within each tetrahedral layer. This is the first published example of a fully refined structure of this type which exhibits such intralayer ordering of the twisted tetrahedral chains. The rationale behind the contrasting structures of La0.33Sr0.67MnO2.42 and other previously reported reduced La1−xSrxMnO3−y phases is discussed.  相似文献

The compound La2Ca2MnO6(O2) has been synthesized from La2Ca2MnO7 heated at 1123 K under high pressure (4 GPa) with KClO3 as oxygen source. The crystal structure has been refined from X-ray powder data in the space group. The unit-cell parameters are a=5.6335(2) Å and c=17.4879(8) Å. Perpendicular to the c-axis, the structure is built up by the periodic stacking of two close packed [LaO3] layers separated by a layer of composition [Ca2O2] containing (O2)2− peroxide ions. This oxide belongs to the family of compounds formulated as [A2O2−δ][AnBn−1O3n] for n=2 and δ=0. It is the first member of the series where the thickness of the perovskite slab corresponds to one [BO6] (B=Mn) octahedron. The structural relationships with La2Ca2MnO7 are discussed and the magnetic properties show that in both phases manganese is tetravalent.  相似文献

The nuclear and magnetic structures of polycrystalline Sr2MnO3.5 have been determined by the Rietveld analysis of neutron powder diffraction data and electron diffraction techniques. The pure Mn3+ single-layered phase crystallizes in the primitive monoclinic space-group P21/c with lattice constants a=6.8524(3) Å b=10.8131(4) Å c=10.8068(4) Å β=113.247(4)°. The oxygen defects form an ordered superstructure within the perovskite block layers consisting of interconnected MnO5 square pyramids, slightly different from those observed for the defect perovskites SrMnO2.5 and Ca2MnO3.5. Magnetic susceptibility studies show a broad transition at ∼280 K, which is attributed to an overall antiferromagnetic ordering of spins, which leads to doubling of the unit cell along [100]. The magnetic unit cell comprises ferromagnetic clusters of four corner-sharing MnO5 pyramids, which are antiferromagnetically aligned to other similar clusters within the perovskite block layers.  相似文献

By means of powder X-ray diffraction, powder neutron diffraction and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), we determined the crystal structures of a metal-ordered manganite YBaMn2O6 which undergoes successive phase transitions. A high-temperature metallic phase (Tc1=520 K<T) crystallizes in a triclinic P1 with the following unit cell: Z=2, a=5.4948(15) Å, b=5.4920(14) Å, c=7.7174(4) Å, α=89.804(20)°, β=90.173(20)°, γ=91.160(4)°. The MnO6 octahedral tilting is approximately written as a0bc, leading to a significant structural anisotropy within the ab plane. The structure for Tc2<T<Tc1 is a monoclinic P2 (Z=2, a=5.5181(4) Å, b=5.5142(4) Å, c=7.6443(3) Å, β=90.267(4)°) with an abc tilting. The structural features suggest a dx2y2 orbital ordering (OO). Below Tc2=480 K, crystallographically inequivalent two octahedra show distinct volume difference, due to the Mn3+/Mn4+ charge ordering. The TEM study furthermore revealed a unique d3x2r2/d3y2r2 OO with a modified CE structure. It was found that the obtained crystal structures are strongly correlated to the unusual physical properties. In particular, the extremely high temperature at which charge degree of freedom freezes, Tc2, should be caused by the absence of the structural disorder and by heavily distorted MnO6 octahedra.  相似文献

Layered LiNi0.4Co0.2Mn0.4O2, Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2, Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 powder materials were prepared by rheological phase method. XRD characterization shows that these samples all have analogous structure to LiCoO2. Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 can be considered to be the solid solution of LiNi0.4Co0.2Mn0.4O2 and Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2. Detailed information from XRD, ex situ XPS measurement and electrochemical analysis of these three materials reveals the origin of the irreversible plateau (4.5 V) of Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 electrode. The irreversible oxidation reaction occurred in the first charging above 4.5 V is ascribed to the contribution of Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 component, which maybe extract Li+ from the transition layer in Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 or Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2 through oxygen release. This step also activates Mn4+ of Li[Li1/3Mn2/3]O2 or Li[Li0.182Ni0.182Co0.091Mn0.545]O2, it can be reversibly reduced/oxidized between Mn4+ and Mn3+ in the subsequent cycles.  相似文献

Three novel metal polyphosphides, α-SrP3, BaP8, and LaP5, were prepared in BN crucibles by the reaction of the respective stoichiometric mixtures under a high pressure of 3 GPa at 950-1000°C. Their crystal structures were determined from single-crystal X-ray data (α-SrP3: space group C2/m, a=9.199(6) Å, b=7.288(3) Å, c=5.690(3) Å, β=113.45(4)°, Z=4, R1/wR2=0.0684/0.1180 for 471 observed reflections and 22 variables; BaP8: space group P−1, a=6.762(2) Å, b=7.233(2) Å, c=8.567(2) Å, α=86.32(2)°, β=84.31(2)°, γ=70.40(2)°, Z=2, R1/wR2=0.0476/0.1255 for 2702 observed reflections and 82 variables; LaP5: space group P21/m, a=4.885(1) Å, b=9.673(3) Å, c=5.577(2) Å, β=105.32(2)°, Z=2, R1/wR2=0.0391/0.1034 for 1272 observed reflections and 31 variables). α-SrP3 is isostructural with SrAs3 and the crystal structure consists of two-dimensional puckered polyanionic layers 2[P3]2− that stack along the c-axis yielding channels occupied by Sr2+ counterions. BaP8 crystallizes in a new structure type which contains a three-dimensional infinite polyanionic framework 3[P3]2−, with large channels hosting the barium cations. LaP5 is a layered compound containing 2[P5]3− polyanionic layers separated by La3+ ions. All three compounds exhibit expected diamagnetic behaviors.  相似文献

The preparation by hydrothermal reaction and the crystal structure of the iron(III) carboxyethylphosphonate of formula [NH4][Fe2(OH){O3P(CH2)2CO2}2] is reported. The green-yellow compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group Pc(n.7), with the following unit-cell parameters: a=7.193(3) Å, b=9.776(3) Å, c=10.17(4) Å and β=94.3(2)°. It shows a typical layered hybrid organic-inorganic structure featuring an alternation of organic and inorganic layers along the a-axis of the unit cell. The bifunctional ligand [O3P(CH2)2CO2]3− is deprotonated and acts as a linker between adjacent inorganic layers, to form pillars along the a-axis. The inorganic layers are made up of dinuclear Fe(III) units, formed by coordination of the metal ions with the oxygen atoms originating from the [O3P−]2− end of the carboxyethylphosphonate molecules, the oxygen atoms of the [−CO2] end group of a ligand belonging to the adjacent layer and the oxygen atom of the bridged OH group. Each Fe(III) ion is six-coordinated in a very distorted octahedral environment. Within the dimer the Fe-Fe separation is found to be 3.5 Å, and the angle inside the [Fe(1)-O(11)-Fe(2)] dimers is ∼124°. The resulting 3D framework contains micropores delimited by four adjacent dimers in the (bc) planes of the unit cell. These holes develop along the a-direction as tunnel-like pores and [NH4]+ cations are located there. The presence of the μ-hydroxo-bridged [Fe(1)-O(11)-Fe(2)] dimers in the lattice is also responsible for the magnetic behavior of the compound at low temperatures. The compound contains Fe3+ ions in the high-spin state and the two Fe(III) ions are antiferromagnetic coupled. The J/k value of −16.3 K is similar to those found for other μ-hydroxo-bridged Fe(III) dimeric systems having the same geometry.  相似文献

Sodium manganates with nominal composition Na2/3MnO2 were prepared by solid state reaction between Na2CO3 and MnCO3 at 1000 °C. The composition and structure of NaxMnO2 were controlled by the rate of cooling from the temperature of preparation. This is a consequence of the capability of Na2/3MnO2 to accommodate overstoichiometric Mn4+ ions up to 12.5%. Structural characterization was carried out by XRD powder diffractions, TEM analysis and Raman spectroscopy. The composition and oxidation state of manganese were determined by chemical analysis and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The manganese distribution in the layers was analysed using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. By quenching from 1000 °C, the orthorhombic distorted modification is stabilized. A phase separation into orthorhombic and hexagonal modifications takes place when Na2/3MnO2 is slow cooled. The structure changes are concomitant with an increase in the oxidation state of Mn. The overstoichiometric Mn4+ ions are accommodated in the hexagonal modification by creation of vacancies in the MnO2layers.  相似文献

A series of lithium–manganese–nickel-oxide compositions that can be represented in three-component notation, xLi[Mn1.5Ni0.5]O4 · (1  x){Li2MnO3 · Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2}, in which a spinel component, Li[Mn1.5Ni0.5]O4, and two layered components, Li2MnO3 and Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2, are structurally integrated in a highly complex manner, have been evaluated as electrodes in lithium cells for x = 1, 0.75, 0.50, 0.25 and 0. In this series of compounds, which is defined by the Li[Mn1.5Ni0.5]O4–{Li2MnO3 · Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2} tie-line in the Li[Mn1.5Ni0.5]O4–Li2MnO3–Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2 phase diagram, the Mn:Ni ratio in the spinel and the combined layered Li2MnO3 · Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2 components is always 3:1. Powder X-ray diffraction patterns of the end members and the electrochemical profiles of cells with these electrodes are consistent with those expected for the spinel Li[Mn1.5Ni0.5]O4 (x = 1) and for ‘composite’ Li2MnO3 · Li(Mn0.5Ni0.5)O2 layered electrode structures (x = 0). Electrodes with intermediate values of x exhibit both spinel and layered character and yield extremely high capacities, reaching more than 250 mA h/g with good cycling stability between 2.0 V and 4.95 V vs. Li° at a current rate of 0.1 mA/cm2.  相似文献
