Five conical calix[4]arenes that have a PPh2 group as the sole functional group anchored at their upper rim were assessed in palladium‐catalysed cross‐coupling reactions of phenylboronic acid with aryl halides (dioxane, 100 °C, NaH). With arylbromides, remarkably high activities were obtained with the catalytic systems remaining stable for several days. The performance of the ligands is comparable to a Buchwald‐type triarylphosphane, namely, (2′‐methyl[1,1′‐biphenyl]‐2‐yl)diphenylphosphane, which in contrast to the calixarenyl phosphanes tested may display chelating behaviour in solution. With the fastest ligand, 5‐diphenylphosphanyl‐25,26,27,28‐tetra(p‐methoxy)benzyloxy‐calix[4]arene ( 8 ), the reaction turnover frequency for the arylation of 4‐bromotoluene was 321 000 versus 214 000 mol(ArBr).mol(Pd)?1. h?1 for the reference ligand. The calixarene ligands were also efficient in Suzuki cross‐coupling reactions with aryl chlorides. Thus, by using 1 mol % of [Pd(OAc)2] associated with one of the phosphanes, full conversion of the deactivated arenes 4‐chloroanisole and 4‐chlorotoluene was observed after 16 h. The high performance of the calixarenyl–phosphanes in Suzuki–Miyaura coupling of aryl bromides possibly relies on their ability to stabilise a monoligand [Pd0L(ArBr)] species through supramolecular binding of the Pd‐bound arene inside the calixarene cavity.  相似文献

Palladium nanoparticles immobilized on the magnetic nanoparticles@2‐amino‐N‐(2‐aminoethyl) benzamide (MNPs@A‐N‐AEB.Pd0) have been presented as an efficient, and reusable magnetically heterogeneous catalyst for the C‐O coupling reaction, namely Ullmann condensation reactions in an aqueous medium. This heterogeneous catalyst shows superior reactivity for the C‐O arylation of different aryl halide (chloride, bromide, and iodide) with phenol derivatives to afford the desired products in good to excellent yields within short reaction time. Moreover, the catalyst can be easily recovered and reused for seven runs without loss of catalytic activity. The catalyst was characterized by several techniques, such as FT‐IR, SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, TGA and ICP‐OES.  相似文献

DFT calculations were performed to elucidate the oxidative addition mechanism of the dimeric palladium(II) abnormal N‐heterocyclic carbene complex 2 in the presence of phenyl chloride and NaOMe base under the framework of a Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reaction. Pre‐catalyst 2 undergoes facile, NaOMe‐assisted dissociation, which led to monomeric palladium(II) species 5 , 6 , and 7 , each of them independently capable of initiating oxidative addition reactions with PhCl. Thereafter, three different mechanistic routes, path a, path b, and path c, which originate from the catalytic species 5 , 7 , and 6 , were calculated at M06‐L ‐D3(SMD)/LANL2TZ(f)(Pd)/6–311++G**//M06‐L/LANL2DZ(Pd)/6–31+G* level of theory. All studied routes suggested the rather uncommon PdII/PdIV oxidative addition mechanism to be favourable under the ambient reaction conditions. Although the Pd0/PdII routes are generally facile, the final reductive elimination step from the catalytic complexes were energetically formidable. The PdII/PdIV activation barriers were calculated to be 11.3, 9.0, 26.7 kcal mol?1 (ΔΔGLS‐D3) more favourable than the PdII/Pd0 reductive elimination routes for path a, path b, and path c, respectively. Out of all the studied pathways, path a was the most feasible as it comprised of a PdII/PdIV activation barrier of 24.5 kcal mol?1GLS‐D3). To further elucidate the origin of transition‐state barriers, EDA calculations were performed for some key saddle points populating the energy profiles.  相似文献

The sulfonated palladium(II) N‐heterocyclic carbene complex PdII(NHC)SO3?, supported on poly(4‐vinylpyridinium chloride), was used as a heterogeneous, recyclable and active catalyst for the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction. This catalyst was applied for coupling of various aryl halides with phenylboronic acid and the corresponding products were obtained in excellent yields and short reaction times. The catalyst was characterized using Fourier transform infrared and diffuse reflectance UV–visible spectroscopies, scanning electron microscopy and elemental analysis. After each reaction, the catalyst was recovered easily by simple filtration and reused several times without significant loss of its catalytic activity. This paper reports a green magnetic quasiheterogeneous efficient palladium catalyst in which Pd0 nanoparticles have been immobilized in self‐assembled hyperbranched polyglycidole (SAHPG)‐coated magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4‐SAHPG‐Pd0). This catalyst has been used for effective ligandless Pd catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions of different aryl halides with substituted boronic acids at room temperature and in aqueous media. Herein, SAHPG is used as support; it also acts as a reducing agent and stabilizer to promote the transformation of PdII to Pd0 nanoparticles. Also, this environmental friendly quasiheterogeneous catalyst is employed for the first time in the synthesis of new pyrimido[4,5‐b]indoles via oxidative addition/C? H activation reactions on the pyrimidine rings, which were obtained with higher yield and faster than when Pd(OAc)2 was used as the catalyst. Interestingly, the above‐mentioned catalyst could be recovered in a facile manner from the reaction mixture by applying an external magnet device and recycled several times with no significant decrease in the catalytic activity.  相似文献

In water, ammonium chloride was found to promote palladium-catalyzed Ullmann coupling reactions of aryl bromides. In the presence of Pd/C, zinc, NH4Cl, and water, coupling of various aryl bromides was carried out smoothly to afford the corresponding homocoupling products in moderate yields.  相似文献

The title compound was evaluated as catalyst for Suzuki coupling of aryl halides (X?=?I, Br) with phenylboronic acid at room temperature. The rates of the reactions increase with increasing Hammet sigma constant of m-substituents on the arylhalide. The presence of ortho groups on the arylhalides had the effect of lowering the reaction rates. Density functional theory study of the mechanism for the formation of a Pd(0) complex from the title molecule was performed. Reductive elimination of chloride and the η4-BCCC moiety was endergonic and ruled out as a likely pathway. Instead, conversion of the title molecule to phenyl({2-[mesityl(quinolin-8-yl-κN)boryl]-3,5-dimethylphenyl}methyl-κC)palladium(II) complex is thermodynamically favored and predicted to further react with the solvent and the Suzuki coupling reagents to undergo reductive elimination of diphenyl to form a reactive Pd(0) complex.  相似文献

A visible‐light‐induced Negishi cross‐coupling is enabled by the activation of a Pd0–Zn complex. With this photocatalytic method, the scope of deactivated aryl halides that can be employed in the Negishi coupling was significantly expanded. NMR experiments conducted in the presence and absence of light confirmed that the formation of the palladium–zinc complex is key for accelerating the oxidative addition step.  相似文献

A novel palladium(II) carboxymethylcellulose (CMC‐PdII) was prepared by direct metathesis from sodium carboxymethylcellulose and PdCl2 in aqueous solution. Its catalytic activities were explored for Heck–Matsuda reactions of aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborate with olefins, and Suzuki–Miyaura couplings of aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborate with arylboronic acid. Both reactions proceeded at room temperature in water or aqueous ethanol media without the presence of any ligand or base, to provide the corresponding cross‐coupling products in good to excellent yields under atmospheric conditions. The CMC‐PdII and carboxymethylcellulose‐supported palladium nanoparticles (CMC‐Pd0) formed in situ in the reactions were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, and scanning and transmission electron microscopies. The homogeneous nature of the CMC‐Pd0 catalyst was confirmed via Hg(0) and CS2 poisoning tests. Moreover, the CMC‐Pd0 catalyst could be conveniently recovered by simple filtration and reused for at least ten cycles in Suzuki–Miyaura reactions without apparently losing its catalytic activity. The catalytic system not only overcomes the basic drawbacks of homogeneous catalyst recovery and reuse but also avoids the need to fabricate palladium nanoparticles in advance. A palladium catalyst was synthesized using N‐benzyl DABCO chloride and palladium chloride. The structure of this catalyst was characterized and then the catalyst was used in Suzuki cross‐ coupling reaction of different aryl halides with arylboronic acids. All substrates afforded the corresponding products in good to high yields in the presence of low amounts of the catalyst. Under the heating conditions employed, cheaper and more available aryl chlorides gave relatively high yields in the Suzuki reaction. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An N‐heterocyclic carbene and phosphite synergistically enhanced Pd/C catalyst system has been developed for Suzuki coupling of aryl chlorides and aryl boronic acids from commercially available Pd/C with sterically demanding N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazolylidene and trimethylphosphite. A remarkable increase in catalytic activity of Pd/C was observed when used along with 1 equiv. N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)imidazolium chloride and 2 equiv. phosphite with respect to palladium in appropriate solvents that were found to play a crucial role in Pd/C‐NHC‐P(OR)3‐catalyzed Suzuki coupling. A dramatic ortho‐substitution effect of carbonyl and nitrile groups in aryl chlorides was observed and explained by a modified quasi‐heterogeneous catalysis mechanism. The Pd/C catalyst could be easily recovered from reaction mixtures by simple filtration and only low palladium contamination was detected in the biparyl products. A practical process for the synthesis of 4‐biphenylcarbonitrile has therefore been developed using the N‐heterocyclic carbene/phosphite‐assisted Pd/C‐catalyzed Suzuki coupling. The synthesis, characterization, crystal structure and catalyst activity of the bidentate phosphine complex [1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane]palladium(II) bromide, [PdBr2(dppe)], are presented. Treatment of 1,2‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane with palladium(II) bromide under mild conditions resulted in the compound in high yield and purity. The characterization of the synthesized compound was performed using spectroscopic methods, such as Fourier transform infrared and NMR, CHN analysis and X‐ray crystallography. The structure of the compound was slightly distorted square planar. This compound was found to work as an efficient catalyst for both Stille and Suzuki cross‐coupling reactions of various aryl halides with triphenyltin chloride and/or phenylboronic acid. Also, the catalyst could be recovered and reused several times without significant loss of its catalytic activity. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Abstract

Four functionalized bis(benzimidazolium) salts (2a–d) have been prepared and characterized by conventional spectroscopic methods and elemental analyses. A highly effective, easy to handle, and environmentally bengin process for palladium‐mediated Suzuki cross‐coupling was developed. The in situ prepared three‐component system Pd(OAc)2/bis(benzimidazolium) bromides (2a–d) and Cs2CO3 catalyzes quantitatively the Suzuki cross‐coupling of deactivated aryl chloride in aqueous media.  相似文献

A palladium‐catalyzed selective C? H bond trifluoroethylation of aryl iodides has been explored. The reaction allows for the efficient synthesis of a variety of ortho‐trifluoroethyl‐substituted styrenes. Preliminary mechanistic studies indicate that the reaction might involve a key PdIV intermediate, which is generated through the rate‐determining oxidative addition of CF3CH2I to a palladacycle; the bulky nature of CF3CH2I influences the reactivity. Reductive elimination from the PdIV complex then leads to the formation of the aryl–CH2CF3 bond.  相似文献

The first Pd0‐catalyzed intermolecular arylative dearomatization of β‐naphthols with aryl halides is described. It was found that Q‐Phos could facilitate the palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling‐type dearomatization of β‐naphthols, while avoiding O‐arylation, to construct 2‐naphthalenones in excellent yields and with high chemoselectivity.  相似文献

Two urea‐based porous organic frameworks, UOF‐1 and UOF‐2, were synthesized through a urea‐forming condensation of 1,3,5‐benzenetriisocyanate with 1,4‐diaminobenzene and benzidine, respectively. UOF‐1 and UOF‐2 possess good hydrophilic properties and high scavenging ability for palladium. Their palladium polymers, PdII/UOF‐1 and PdII/UOF‐2, exhibit high catalytic activity and selectivity for Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling reactions and selective reduction of nitroarenes in water. The catalytic reactions can be efficiently performed at room temperature. Palladium nanoparticles with narrow size distribution were formed after the catalytic reaction and were well dispersed in UOF‐1 and UOF‐2. XPS analysis confirmed the coordination of the urea oxygen atom with palladium. SEM and TEM images showed that the original network morphology of UOF‐1 and UOF‐2 was maintained after palladium loading and catalytic reactions.  相似文献

Controlled oxidation of palladium nanoparticles provided high‐valent PdIV oxo‐clusters which efficiently promote directed C−H halogenation reactions. In addition, palladium nanoparticles can undergo changes in oxidation states to provide both high‐valent PdIV and low‐valent Pd0 species within one system, and thus a tandem reaction of C−H halogenation and cross‐coupling (C−N, C−C, and C−S bond formation) was successfully established.  相似文献

We report an expedient method for the heteroarylation of acetone under tin-free conditions. The coupling is performed using the commercially available enol silane of acetone (2-trimethylsilyloxypropene) and a corresponding aryl bromide, chloride or triflate under microwave-assisted conditions, with tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium (Pd2(dba)3) or palladium acetate (Pd(OAc)2) and 2-(2′,6′-dimethoxybiphenyl)dicyclohexylphosphine (S-Phos) as the catalyst system.  相似文献

A palladium‐catalyzed C(sp3)−C(sp2) Suzuki–Miyaura cross‐coupling of aryl boronic acids and α‐(trifluoromethyl)benzyl tosylates is reported. A readily available, air‐stable palladium catalyst was employed to access a wide range of functionalized 1,1‐diaryl‐2,2,2‐trifluoroethanes. Enantioenriched α‐(trifluoromethyl)benzyl tosylates were found to undergo cross‐coupling to give the corresponding enantioenriched cross‐coupled products with an overall inversion in configuration. The crucial role of the CF3 group in promoting this transformation is demonstrated by comparison with non‐fluorinated derivatives.  相似文献
