An electrical potential U on a bordered Riemann surface X with conductivity function σ>0 satisfies equation d(σ d c U)=0. The problem of effective reconstruction of σ from electrical currents measurements (Dirichlet-to-Neumann mapping) on the boundary: U| bX σ d c U| bX is studied. We extend to the case of Riemann surfaces the reconstruction scheme given, firstly, by R. Novikov (Funkc. Anal. Ego Priloz. 22:11–22, 2008) for simply connected X. We apply for this new kernels for on the affine algebraic Riemann surfaces constructed in Henkin (, 2008).   相似文献

In this paper we establish results on the existence of nontangential limits for weighted -harmonic functions in the weighted Sobolev space , for some q>1 and w in the Muckenhoupt A q class, where is the unit ball in . These results generalize the ones in Sect. 3 of Koskela et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348(2), 755–766, 1996, where the weight was identically equal to one. Weighted -harmonic functions are weak solutions of the partial differential equation
where for some fixed q∈(1,∞), where 0<αβ<∞, and w(x) is a q-admissible weight as in Chap. 1 of Heinonen et al., Nonlinear Potential Theory, 2006. Later, we apply these results to improve on results of Koskela et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348(2), 755–766, 1996 and Martio and Srebro, Math. Scand. 85, 49–70, 1999 on the existence of radial limits for bounded quasiregular mappings in the unit ball of with some growth restriction on their multiplicity function.   相似文献

A new necessary and sufficient condition for the row -property is given. By using this new condition and a special row rearrangement, we provide two global error bounds for the extended vertical linear complementarity problem under the row -property, which extend the error bounds given in Chen and Xiang (Math. Program. 106:513–525, 2006) and Mathias and Pang (Linear Algebra Appl. 132:123–136, 1990) for the P-matrix linear complementarity problem, respectively. We show that one of the new error bounds is sharper than the other, and it can be computed easily for some special class of the row -property block matrix. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the error bounds. Complementing the results of (Lotta and Nacinovich, Adv. Math. 191(1): 114–146, 2005), we show that the minimal orbit M of a real form G of a semisimple complex Lie group in a flag manifold is CR-symmetric (see (Kaup and Zaitsev Adv. Math. 149(2):145–181, 2000)) if and only if the corresponding CR algebra admits a gradation compatible with the CR structure.   相似文献

We study the Dirichlet problem at infinity for -harmonic functions on a Cartan–Hadamard manifold M and give a sufficient condition for a point at infinity x 0M(∞) to be -regular. This condition is local in the sense that it only involves sectional curvatures of M in a set UM, where U is an arbitrary neighborhood of x 0 in the cone topology. The results apply to the Laplacian and p-Laplacian, 1<p<∞, as special cases.   相似文献

A new class of plurisubharmonic functions on the octonionic plane is introduced. An octonionic version of theorems of A.D. Aleksandrov (Vestnik Leningrad. Univ. Ser. Mat. Meh. Astr. 13(1):5–24, 1958) and Chern-Levine-Nirenberg (Global Analysis, pp. 119–139, 1969), and Błocki (Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 128(12):3595–3599, 2000) are proved. These results are used to construct new examples of continuous translation invariant valuations on convex subsets of . In particular, a new example of Spin(9)-invariant valuation on ℝ16 is given. This paper deals with a parametric family of convex semi-infinite optimization problems for which linear perturbations of the objective function and continuous perturbations of the right-hand side of the constraint system are allowed. In this context, Cánovas et al. (SIAM J. Optim. 18:717–732, [2007]) introduced a sufficient condition (called ENC in the present paper) for the strong Lipschitz stability of the optimal set mapping. Now, we show that ENC also entails high stability for the minimal subsets of indices involved in the KKT conditions, yielding a nice behavior not only for the optimal set mapping, but also for its inverse. Roughly speaking, points near optimal solutions are optimal for proximal parameters. In particular, this fact leads us to a remarkable simplification of a certain expression for the (metric) regularity modulus given in Cánovas et al. (J. Glob. Optim. 41:1–13, [2008]) (and based on Ioffe (Usp. Mat. Nauk 55(3):103–162, [2000]; Control Cybern. 32:543–554, [2003])), which provides a key step in further research oriented to find more computable expressions of this regularity modulus. With every subset selection for posets, there is associated a certain ideal completion . As shown by Erné, such completions help to extend classical results on domains and similar structures in the absence of the required joins. Some results about –predistributive or –precontinuous posets and –continuous functions are summarized and supplemented. In particular, several central results on function spaces in domain theory are extended to the setting of productive closed subset selections. The category FSBP, in which objects are finitely separated and upper bounded posets and arrows are continuous functions between them, is shown to be cartesian closed. In this article we build on the framework developed in Ann. Math. 166, 183–214 ([2007]), 166, 723–777 ([2007]), 167, 1–67 ([2008]) to obtain a more complete understanding of the gluing properties for indices of boundary value problems for the Spin -Dirac operator with sub-elliptic boundary conditions. We extend our analytic results for sub-elliptic boundary value problems for the Spin -Dirac operator, and gluing results for the indices of these boundary problems to Spin -manifolds with several pseudoconvex (pseudoconcave) boundary components. These results are applied to study Stein fillability for compact, 3-dimensional, contact manifolds. We provide new sufficient convergence conditions for the semilocal convergence of Ulm’s method (Tzv Akad Nauk Est SSR 16:403–411, 1967) in order to approximate a locally unique solution of an equation in a Banach space setting. We show that in some cases, our hypotheses hold true but the corresponding ones in Burmeister (Z Angew Math Mech 52:101–110, 1972), Kornstaedt (Aequ Math 13:21–45, 1975), Moser (1973), and Potra and Pták (Cas Pest Mat 108:333–341, 1983) do not. We also show that under the same hypotheses and computational cost, finer error bounds can be obtained. Some error bounds are also shown to be sharp. Numerical examples are also provided further validating the results.  相似文献

We obtain an explicit characterization of the stable points of the action of on the cartesian product G  × n by simultaneous conjugation on each factor in terms of the corresponding invariant functions. From this, a simple criterion for the irreducibility of representations of finitely generated groups into G is derived. We also obtain analogous results for the action of on the vector space of n-tuples of 2 × 2 complex matrices. For a free group F n of rank n, we show how to generically reconstruct the 2 n-2 conjugacy classes of representations F n G from their values under the map considered in Magnus [Math. Zeit. 170, 91–103 (1980)], defined by certain 3n − 3 traces of words of length one and two.   相似文献

For a probability space (Ω,ℱ,P) and two sub-σ-fields we consider two natural distances: and . We investigate basic properties of these distances. In particular we show that if a distance (ρ or ) from ℬ to is small then there exists Z∈ℱ with small P(Z), such that for every B∈ℬ there exists such that BZ and AZ differ by a set of probability zero. This improves results of Neveu (Ann. Math. Stat. 43(4):1369–1371, [1972]), Jajte and Paszkiewicz (Probab. Math. Stat. 19(1):181–201, [1999]).   相似文献

Marcin Peczarski 《Order》2006,23(1):89-95
We present the Gold Partition Conjecture which immediately implies the – Conjecture and tight upper bound for sorting. We prove the Gold Partition Conjecture for posets of width two, semiorders and posets containing at most elements. We prove that the fraction of partial orders on an -element set satisfying our conjecture converges to when approaches infinity. We discuss properties of a hypothetical counterexample.  相似文献

Let G be a unimodular Lie group, X a compact manifold with boundary, and M be the total space of a principal bundle GMX so that M is also a strongly pseudoconvex complex manifold. In this work, we show that if G acts by holomorphic transformations in M, then the Laplacian on M has the following properties: The kernel of restricted to the forms Λ p,q with q>0 is a closed, G-invariant subspace in L 2(M p,q ) of finite G-dimension. Secondly, we show that if q>0, then the image of contains a closed, G-invariant subspace of finite G-codimension in L 2(M p,q ). These two properties taken together amount to saying that is a G-Fredholm operator. It is a corollary of the first property mentioned that the reduced L 2-Dolbeault cohomology spaces of M are finite G-dimensional for q>0. The boundary Laplacian b has similar properties.   相似文献

We study properties of anisotropic Triebel–Lizorkin spaces associated with general expansive dilations and doubling measures on using wavelet transforms. This paper is a continuation of (Bownik in J Geom Anal 2007, to appear, Trans Am Math Soc 358:1469–1510, 2006), where we generalized the isotropic methods of dyadic -transforms of Frazier and Jawerth (J Funct Anal 93:34–170, 1990) to non-isotropic settings. By working at the level of sequence spaces, we identify the duals of anisotropic Triebel–Lizorkin spaces. We also obtain several real and complex interpolation results for these spaces. This paper is a survey on the Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability of the following Cauchy–Jensen functional equation in C *-algebras:
The concept of Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability originated from the Th.M. Rassias’ stability theorem (Rassias in Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 72:297–300, [1978]). This work was supported by the research fund of Hanyang University (HY-2007-S).  相似文献

A Fitting class $ \mathfrak{F} A Fitting class is said to be π-maximal if is an inclusion maximal subclass of the Fitting class of all finite soluble π-groups. We prove that is a π-maximal Fitting class exactly when there is a prime p ∊ π such that the index of the -radical in G is equal to 1 or p for every π-subgroup of G. Hence, there exist maximal subclasses in a local Fitting class. This gives a negative answer to Skiba’s conjecture that there are no maximal Fitting subclasses in a local Fitting class (see [1, Question 13.50]). Original Russian Text Copyright ? 2008 Savelyeva N. For a riemannian foliation on a closed manifold M, it is known that is taut (i.e. the leaves are minimal submanifolds) if and only if the (tautness) class defined by the mean curvature form (relatively to a suitable riemannian metric μ) is zero (cf. álvarez in Ann Global Anal Geom 10:179–194, 1992). In the transversally orientable case, tautness is equivalent to the non-vanishing of the top basic cohomology group , where (cf. Masa in Comment Math Helv 67:17–27, 1992). By the Poincaré Duality (cf. Kamber et and Tondeur in Astérisque 18:458–471, 1984) this last condition is equivalent to the non-vanishing of the basic twisted cohomology group , when M is oriented. When M is not compact, the tautness class is not even defined in general. In this work, we recover the previous study and results for a particular case of riemannian foliations on non compact manifolds: the regular part of a singular riemannian foliation on a compact manifold (CERF). This paper generalizes a number of results obtained by Dimitrić in (Glas. Mat. 21(41):327–329, 1986; Proceedings of Hobart Conference on Rings, Modules and Radicals 1987, 204:41–50, Gordon and Breach, 1989) and Dimitrić and Goldsmith in (Glas. Mat. 23(43):241–246, 1988). The original papers were restricted to the category of Abelian groups and orthogonality was to the group of integers ℤ. Here, we are in a general Abelian category with products and coproducts, with applications to module categories and further to modules over PID’s. Another generalization is in replacing ℤ by an entire class of subobjects of the underlying category. We examine properties of the torsion class , Hom(T,C)=0} in relation to purity, direct summands and indecomposability as well as commutation with direct products, for example. Of special interest are members of this class when is a class of slender objects in the ground category; in this case, members of are called ortho-slender objects. In a sense, ortho-slenderness represents complementary, if not dual, notion to slenderness.   相似文献
