化学接枝改进ZnO-有机硅纳米复合材料的光学性能   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
采用N-(三甲氧基硅丙基)-4-叠氮-2,3,5,6-四氟苯甲酰胺(PFPA-silane)改性纳米氧化锌,并将PFPA-silane接枝在有机硅聚合物链上.接枝反应改变了纳米复合物的折光指数,并使ZnO纳米粒子与有机硅基体的折光指数更加匹配.这减少了纳米氧化锌粒子对光的散射作用,增加了纳米ZnO-有机硅纳米复合物的透明性.所制备的复合物通过接枝改性后透光率最多可提高50%.研究结果表明无机物和聚合物的折光指数的匹配程度可以通过偶联剂与聚合物基体的反应来进行调控.  相似文献

The structural features and swelling properties of responsive hydrogel films based on poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) copolymers with a photo-cross-linkable benzophenone unit were investigated by surface plasmon resonance, optical waveguide mode spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy. The temperature-dependent swelling behavior was studied with respect to the chemical composition of the hydrogel polymers containing either sodium methacrylate or methacrylic acid moieties. In the sodium methacrylate system, a refractive index gradient was found that was not present in the free acid gel. This refractive index gradient, perpendicular to the swollen hydrogel film surface, could be analyzed in detail by application of the reversed Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation to the optical data. This novel approach to analyzing thin-film gradients with the WKB method presents a powerful tool for the characterization of inhomogeneous hydrogels, which would otherwise be very difficult to capture experimentally. In AFM images of the hydrogel layers, a macroscopic pore structure was observed that depended on the polymer composition as well as on the swelling history. This pore structure apparently prevents the often-observed skin barrier effect and leads to a quickly responding hydrogel.  相似文献

传统的高折射率聚合物光学材料,可以通过向聚合物中引入一些芳香环,含硫基团以及除氟以外的其他卤素原子来提高聚合物光学材料的折射率,但是就目前的研究现状来看,这类纯聚合物光学材料的折射率一般都低于1.8.而将具有高折射率的无机纳米粒子引入到聚合物中,所制备的聚合物-无机纳米光学材料的折射率能够达到1.8以上.而且这类高折射率聚合物-无机纳米光学杂化材料同时具有高分子光学材料和无机材料的双重优点,具有广泛的应用前景.鉴于当前高折射率聚合物-无机纳米光学杂化材料发展之迅速和其研究与开发的重要性,并结合目前国内外的研究现状,本文就高折射率聚合物-无机纳米光学杂化材料的设计、制备方法及其相关应用做一个比较系统的介绍,同时对这类材料在未来研究中所应注意的问题也提出了相应的看法.  相似文献

作为无机玻璃的替代品,有机光学树脂具有轻质、抗冲击性好、易加工和可调性强等优点。折射率是光学树脂的主要参数之一,折射率的高低可直接影响成品镜片的厚度、美观性和舒适度。在不降低光学树脂综合性能的基础上提升光学树脂折射率一直是该领域的热点和难点,在光学树脂中引入高摩尔折射率的硫元素被认为是最有效和常用的方法之一。本文将含硫光学树脂分为烯烃类、环氧类、环硫类、多环类和聚氨酯类,简要综述了国内外近几年的研究进展,涉及单体合成、单体聚合以及单体结构对光学树脂综合性能影响,系统总结了以上材料的特性及发展。  相似文献

The size and concentration of silica cores determine the size and concentration of silica/gold nanoshells in final preparations. Until now, the concentration of silica/gold nanoshells with Stober's silica core has been evaluated through the material balance assumption. Here, we describe a method for simultaneous determination of the average size and concentration of silica nanospheres from turbidity spectra measured within the 400-600 nm spectral band. As the refractive index of silica nanoparticles is the key input parameter for optical determination of their concentration, we propose an optical method and provide experimental data on a direct determination of the refractive index of silica particles n = 1.475 +/- 0.005. Finally, we exemplify our method by determining the particle size and concentration for 10 samples and compare the results with transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and dynamic light scattering data.  相似文献

In this work, the thermotropic liquid crystal MBBA (N-(4-methoxybenzilidene)-4-butylaniline), entrapped on hydrogels, based on cross-linked polyacrylamide (PAAm), was studied. The liquid crystalline phases of system were characterized by polarized optical microscopy (POM), refractive index, optical transmittance, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and water loss. It was verified the presence of birefringence on hydrogel + liquid crystal. The dynamic of formation of such birefringence finished 40 days after the hydrogel synthesis. The effective birefringence Δn, i.e., the difference on refractive index of polyacrylamide hydrogel to refractive index of hydrogel + liquid crystal (Δn1) and the difference on refractive index of liquid crystal (MBBA) to refractive index of hydrogel + liquid crystal (Δn2) are dependent of content of acrylamide (AAm) and MBBA on hydrogel. The increase on Δn1 and Δn2 with the polyacrylamide content on hydrogel was attributed to decreasing of the mobility liquid crystal inside the hydrogel. Also, an increase on MBBA concentration in the polymeric matrix provides a reduction in the values of optical transmittance in the system. The morphology observed by SEM shows that hydrogel + liquid crystal is more compact that PAAm hydrogels. The presence of MBBA causes an increase in hydrophobicity. The water loss speed is favored by the increase in the amount of MBBA present in the hydrogels.  相似文献

In this paper, we report the synthesis of partially conjugated polymers with a silyl-group-substituted oligothiophene and a short alkyl chain in the main chain by hydrosilylation polymerization and describe their optical properties such as luminescence and refractive index. The obtained polymers are found to have good solubility and processability. Moreover, the high steric hindrance of the silyl-group can inhibit the π-π interaction and intermolecular aggregation of the polymers. Hence, the emission of the obtained polymers was similar to that of the corresponding silyl-group-substituted oligothiophene. The polymers exhibit intense light blue fluorescence under UV irradiation and a high refractive index in the visible light region.  相似文献

用甲醛(F)和二氰二胺(D)改性聚丙烯酸胺(PAm),制得新型阳离子聚电解质PAm·MG,对PAm·MG的合成和表征进行了研究。合成反应通过两步进行,先使PAm与F反应,生成羟甲基化产物PAm·M,然后在酸性条件下使PAm·M与D反应,制得PAm·MG.控制F用量,得到不同取代度的PAm·M.和PAm·MG。PAm·MG在水溶液中能与阴离子聚电解质形成复合物沉淀证明PAm·MG带有阳离子基团。元素分析及电位、浊度滴定结果表明PAm·M中的羟基完全与D发生了反应。SALLS测得的M_w证实了PAm在改性过程中分子链未发生降解。  相似文献

Lightly crosslinked nitrated poly(4-hydroxystyrene) microspheres were prepared for pH sensing. The first step is to prepare poly(4-acetoxystyrene) microspheres using porous glass membrane emulsification followed by suspension polymerization. The resulting microspheres have diameters between 1 and 2 μm. They hydrolyzed to poly(4-hydroxystyrene) by exposing them to base. This is followed by nitration to nitric acid. The percentage of nitrogen depends on the nitration conditions. Percentages greater than the theoretical percentage for mononitro poly(4-hydroxystyrene) can be obtained at elevated temperatures indicating partial dinitration. These microspheres were cast into hydrogel membranes for use as pH sensors. The membrane is turbid because the refractive index of the microspheres is higher than the hydrogel refractive index. At high pH, deprotonation of the hydroxyl group introduces a negative charge onto the polymer backbone causing it to swell. Swelling is accompanied by a decrease in microsphere refractive index, which is detected as a decrease in membrane turbidity.  相似文献

通过2,2-二巯基乙硫醚(MES)与环氧氯丙烷反应合成了2,2-二巯基二乙硫醚二缩水甘油醚型环氧树脂(DGEMES),通过FTIR和MS对其进行表征;用乙二胺作为固化剂,将DGEMES与双酚A型环氧树脂(DGEBA)复合固化,得到了新型高折射率和低色散的光学树脂.DGEMES是一种较好的共聚单体,可以同时提高共聚树脂的折射率和阿贝数;DGEBA/DGEMES/乙二胺共固化树脂的nd=1.59~1.62,νd=35~39;当DGEMES的质量分数为40%时,固化树脂的折射率达到1.60以上,冲击强度22.5kJ/m2,且其它性能较均衡.此外,以甲基六氢苯酐(B-650)为固化剂,还合成了具有中等折射率的DGEBA/DGEMES/B-650共固化树脂(nd=1.54~1.56,νd=38~40),并对其光学和机械性能进行了研究.  相似文献

Summary: In this paper spectroscopic techniques were adapted and applied to characterize the optical and morphological properties of thermotropic resins. Thermotropic films were prepared by variation of resin base and thermotropic additives. By UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy the solar optical properties, the switching temperature, the switching process and the residual transmittance in the opaque state were determined. To control the sample temperature from ambient to 100 °C a conventional UV/Vis/NIR spectrophotometer equipped with an Ulbricht-sphere was adapted by a heating stage. Additive content, distribution and scattering domain size were characterized by Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Attenuated Total Reflectance spectroscopy and microscopic techniques. For the investigated film types hemispheric solar transmittance values ranging from 80 to 87% and 75 to 85% were obtained in the clear and the scattering state, respectively. The diffuse solar transmittance values increased significantly from 14 to 40% below the switching temperature to 36 to 70% at elevated temperatures. The thermotropic resins exhibit a steep and rapid switching process with switching temperatures between 45 and 70 °C. The materials with the best switching properties are characterized by distinct differences in refractive index between the components, a uniform additive distribution and scattering domains with diameters below 1000 nm.  相似文献

The application of photosensitive polyimides in electrical and optical interconnection technology is discussed. Critical properties of two photosensitive polyimide formulations with significantly different structural chemistries have been compared. Polyamic ester based formulations such as Selectilux® HTR3 show significant distortions in the photopatterned features upon high-temperature baking, which can be ascribed to anisotropic shrinkage. A BTDA-alkylated diamine based preimidized formulation (Probimide®), on the other hand, shows a more uniform shrinkage of the photopatterned features. HTR3 films interacts strongly with metals such as copper, which adversely affect the photopatternability of these materials. Planarization behavior in multiple layer structures has also been investigated. We explored the viability of these materials for applications in optical interconnection. Probimide® materials exhibit low scattering losses and appear to be promising candidates for the development of a MCM-compatible optical interconnection technology. We also describe here a novel technique for optical recording of refractive index patterns in Probimide® films.  相似文献

The optical and dielectric properties of prepared polyvinychloride/atactic polymethylmethacrylate (PVA/-PMMA) blends are studied as a function of applied field frequency and PMMA content. The observed optical energy gaps and the energy gap tails were determined from the measured absorption spectra. It was found that the applied frequency and the -PMMA concentration have some effects on the physical parameters such as the optical energy gap, the glass transition temperature (Tg), the dielectric constant, and the refractive index. Correlation between the determined optical energy gaps and the measured Tg is presented. The observed changes in these physical parameters are due to structural changes in the amorphous domains, impurities and space charge within the interfaces in the mixed phases.  相似文献

Abstract

Results are presented which show that the on-state clarity of a UV cured polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) film depends on the refractive index of the final polymer in the PDLC film, the ordinary refractive index of the liquid crystal, the solubility of the liquid crystal in the prepolymer and the rate at which the film is cured. Liquid crystal mixtures for use in PDLC films are chosen such that the ordinary refractive index of the liquid crystal is equal to the refractive index of the polymer matrix. It has been shown previously that a large quantity of liquid crystal remains dissolved in the polymer matrix, thus increasing the mismatch between the refractive index of the polymer and the ordinary refractive index of the liquid crystal and therefore reducing the on-state clarity. For liquid crystal mixtures which have high solubility in the prepolymer (>60 per cent) the mismatch in the refractive indices can be very large and the on-state clarity of the resulting film can be very poor (T on<70 per cent). Results are presented which show that it is possible to increase the on-state clarity of such films by increasing the rate at which these films cure. If the liquid crystal is less soluble in the prepolymer (<45 per cent), a PDLC film formed from such a liquid crystal/ prepolymer system often has very good on-state clarity (T on>75 per cent) be it cured slowly or quickly. Results are also presented which show that in order to achieve a true measure of on-state clarity it is necessary to use a small collection angle (<3°) in the detecting optics. If larger collection angles are used, the photodetector collects light which is scattered out of the specular beam, thus leading to a false measure of on-state clarity.  相似文献

The realization that modulated light pulses can be transported in a confined fashion over long distances within a structure that comprises a controlled spatial distribution of the refractive index n—as in optical fibres and waveguides—has, without doubt, underpinned the telecommunications revolution witnessed during the 20th century. The refractive index n, quantifying how light propagates in a given medium, as a consequence, has become one of the most important materials properties in designing photonics products. The other key characteristic for most optical and photonic applications is the amount of light that is absorbed by a material, expressed as the extinction coefficient κ. Although a range of organic/inorganic hybrid materials have been advanced with tunable refractive index, only a few systems combine a high n, sufficiently low κ and straightforward sample preparation to allow simple fabrication of highly transparent, low‐loss structures. Here, we present a hybrid material that can be readily produced in water via a one‐pot synthesis directly from commercially available, low‐cost precursors. Moreover, our hybrid material can be solution‐processed, yielding systems of an extinction coefficient <0.01, and a refractive index, which can be controlled to adopt values between 1.5 to at least 2.1. Unprecedentedly, simple post‐deposition procedures such as thermal annealing or irradiation with high‐intensity UV‐light allow adjusting n also after film fabrication, offering an exceptional degree of freedom in designing and tailoring also more complex photonic architectures or planar wave‐guides, for example, through creation of in‐plane refractive index patterns. As a proof‐of‐concept, we demonstrate fabrication of waveguides based on local heating. The versatility of our materials is further illustrated by the production of lenses and dielectric filters of ~100% reflectivity in a given wavelength regime. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Depolarized light scattering is widely used to probe the spatial correlation of optical anisotropy in crystals, liquid crystals, and viscoelastic materials under stress, and a powerful means to study a non-equilibrium pattern evolution process of such a system. To follow the temporal change in the diagonal and off-diagonal contributions of the dielectric tensor, it is highly desirable to measure two-dimensional (2D) polarized (HH: horizontally transmitted, horizontally received) and depolarized (VH: vertically transmitted, horizontally received) scattering patterns simultaneously in a time-resolved manner. We develop a light scattering system with a video-rate time resolution as well as very high sensitivity to optical anisotropy. To detect extremely weak VH scattering from a sample without suffering from residual birefringence of the optical system itself and leakage of strong HH scattering signals, we use an objective lens specially designed for polarizing microscopy and Glan-laser prisms, respectively. This system enables us to experimentally elucidate the origin of VH scattering: we use the ratio of the VH and HH scattering intensity as a fingerprint for whether a 2D VH scattering pattern is caused by (i) optical anisotropy (intrinsic birefringence) or merely by (ii) spatial inhomogeneity of optically isotropic materials. We verify the validity of this method for a process of phase separation in a binary mixture of isotropic liquids. The simultaneous HH and VH measurement allows us to directly estimate the ratio of VH and HH scattering intensity accurately. The careful comparison of this ratio with a simple theory unambiguously demonstrates that the 2D VH scattering pattern is caused by the scattering angle dependence of the diffraction efficiency of light with the two polarization directions. That is, the origin of VH scattering is due to geometrical effects of the inhomogeneous distribution of the refractive index and not due to optical birefringence, as it should be for the optically isotropic sample. This method using the ratio of VH and HH scattering intensity may be widely used for distinguishing the two types of origins for a VH scattering pattern in an unambiguous manner.  相似文献

All-dielectric nanoparticles, as the counterpart of metallic nanostructures have recently attracted significant interest in manipulating light-matter interaction at a nanoscale. Directional scattering, as an important property of nanoparticles, has been investigated in traditional high refractive index materials, such as silicon, germanium and gallium arsenide in a narrow band range. Here in this paper, we demonstrate that a broadband forward scattering across the entire visible range can be achieved by the low loss TiO2 nanoparticles with moderate refractive index. This mainly stems from the optical interferences between the broadband electric dipole and the magnetic dipole modes. The forward/backward scattering ratio reaches maximum value at the wavelengths satisfying the first Kerker’s condition. Experimentally, the femtosecond pulsed laser was employed to splash different-sized nanoparticles from a thin TiO2 film deposited on the glass substrate. Single particle scattering measurement in both the forward and backward direction was performed by a homemade confocal microscopic system, demonstrating the broadband forward scattering feature. Our research holds great promise for many applications such as light harvesting, photodetection and on-chip photonic devices and so on.  相似文献

The analysis of the quality of food oils is of paramount importance, because the degradation of oils can lead to formation of harmful substances to the human organism. With the increase of the degradation of oils an increase of its refractive index occurs. The objective of this work is to develop and to characterize optical fiber refractometers sensitive to variations of refractive index of food oil samples. The optical fiber refractometers thanks to the intrinsic characteristics make them suitable for monitoring the quality of frying oils. They possess the advantages to require small volumes of sample for analysis, do not contaminate the sample, and supply the response in real time. In this work a long period grating (LPG) as refractometer is used because of their sensitivity to refractive index of the external media: degraded and not degraded frying oil samples. The oil samples had been characterized by the analysis of total polar components. The refractive index of oil is above 1.47, this region the LPG does not show enough sensitivity, a nanolayer of an organic material was coated onto the fiber. Using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique the response of LPG is modified according to the refractive index and thickness of the film. The deposition of the film modifies the rates effective modes of cladding, thus improving the response of the changes in the refractive index of the external media higher than that the refractive index of the cladding (n = 1.457).  相似文献

In this paper, relationships between the scattering domain parameters (size and shape) and the light‐shielding properties of thermotropic systems with fixed domains (TSFD) are established. Specific focus is given to the effect of additive type on the formation of scattering domain size. Various functional layers are prepared by a variation of thermotropic additives. Scattering domains are investigated applying high resolution Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) in a phase imaging mode. Thermotropic layers formulated with additive types exhibiting a short chain length display roughly spherical scattering particles with dimensions between 0.5 and 3 µm and a moderate reduction in hemispheric solar transmittance along with a significant increase in diffuse solar transmittance above the switching threshold. Additive types with long‐chain molecules develop anisotropic scattering domains resembling distorted disks with a diameter up to 50 µm and a thickness between 100 and 400 nm. Disk‐like scattering features yield enhanced light‐shielding properties. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
