On Minimal Projections in l∞ (n)

 In this paper we present an estimate of the relative projection constant for a particular class of subspaces of of codimension two. In some cases the exact value of will be calculated. Also Theorem 2.5 from [11] will be generalized. (Received 21 December 1998)

设B是N维复空间C^N中的开单位球,φ_i为B上的解析自映射,H_α^∞表示定义在单位球上的加权解析函数空间.本文主要研究的是从空间H_α^∞到H_β^∞上的复合算子线性组合■的紧致性,其中λ_i(i=1,2,…,M)是非零常数.另外,根据紧致性等价条件,得出算子差分对(C_φ1-C_φ2)-(C_φ3-C_φ1)是紧致的当且仅当C_φ1-C_φ2与C_φ3-C_φ1都是紧致的算子.     

Constants of Strong Uniqueness of Minimal Projections onto Hyperplanes in the Space ℓ∞ n (n≥3)

In this paper, we obtain the maximum values of the constants of strong uniqueness of minimal projections with nonunit norm on hyperplanes in the space #x2113; ⁿ (n3)     

Embedding into l ∞2 Is Easy, Embedding into l ∞3 Is?NP-Complete

We give a new algorithm for enumerating all possible embeddings of a metric space (i.e., the distances between every pair within a set of n points) into ℝ² Cartesian space preserving their l _∞ (or l ₁) metric distances. Its expected time is (i.e., within a poly-log of the size of the input) beating the previous algorithm. In contrast, we prove that detecting l _∞³ embeddings is NP-complete. The problem is also NP-complete within l ₁² or l _∞² with the added constraint that the locations of two of the points are given or alternatively that the two dimensions are curved into a three-dimensional sphere. We also refute a compaction theorem by giving a metric space that cannot be embedded in l _∞³; however, it can be embedded if any single point is removed. 本文首先利用由两组具有局部最小支集的样条所组成的基函数,构造非均匀2 型三角剖分上二元三次样条空间S₃^1,2(Δ_mn⁽²⁾)的若干样条拟插值算子. 这些变差缩减算子由样条函数B_ij¹支集上5 个网格点或中心和样条函数B_ij²支集上5 个网格点处函数值定义. 这些样条拟插值算子具有较好的逼近性,甚至算子V_mn（f） 能保持近最优的三次多项式性. 然后利用连续模,分析样条拟插值算子V_mn（f）一致逼近于充分光滑的实函数. 最后推导误差估计.     

Minimal Shape-Preserving Projections Onto Π n : Generalizations and Extensions

The goal of this paper is to further the investigation begun in Chalmers and Prophet, Numer. Funct. Anal. Optimiz. 1997; 18:507–520. With the benefit of nearly 10 years of work, we begin by indicating how several proofs from Chalmers and Prophet, Numer. Funct. Anal. Optimiz. 1997; 18:507–520, can be substantially improved. We show that the problem of preserving k-convexity onto Π _n is one part of a larger shape-preserving problem (multiconvex preservation) relative to Π _n , and we completely solve this expanded problem. And finally, we demonstrate that multiconvex preserving projections constructed in this paper are in fact of minimal operator norm in a large class of Banach spaces.

We deal with the sum of sequence spaces. Then we apply these results to characterize matrix transformations mapping between s ^h,l (λ, μ) = s _α ⁰((Δ − λI) ^h ) + s _β ^(c)((Δ − μI) ^l ) and s _γ . Among other things the aim of this paper is to reduce the set (s ^h,l (λ, μ), s _γ to a set of the form S _τ,γ .

On hypersurfaces of H2×H2

In this paper, we study hypersurfaces of H²× H². We first classify the hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures and constant product angle functions. Then we classify homogeneous hypersurfaces and isoparametric hypersurfaces, respectively. Finally, we classify the hypersurfaces with at most two distinct constant principal curvatures, as well as those with three distinct constant principal curvatures under some additional conditions.

On multiresolution analysis (MRA) wavelets in ℝ n

We prove that for any expansive n×n integral matrix A with |det A|=2, there exist A-dilation minimally supported frequency (MSF) wavelets that are associated with a multiresolution analysis (MRA). The condition |det A|=2 was known to be necessary, and we prove that it is sufficient. A wavelet set is the support set of the Fourier transform of an MSF wavelet. We give some concrete examples of MRA wavelet sets in the plane. The same technique of proof is also applied to yield an existence result for A-dilation MRA subspace wavelets.     

d8(C3v*)EPR理论与CsMgCl3:Ni2+的光、磁性质研究

本文给出了O_h点群表象中的d^2,8(C_3v^*)完全强场矩阵,并借助于这种矩阵的特征值和特征矢量,建立了CsMgX₃:Ni²⁺(X=Cl,B,I)类晶体的全组态混合EPR理论。应用这一理论,对CsMgCl₃晶体中的Ni²⁺杂质离子的光学吸收谱、基态零场分裂参量D、顺磁g因数、基态Zeeman分裂以及EPR条件(B,hv₀)进行了统一的计算。结果与观测非常一致,从而首次对CsMgCl₃:Ni²⁺的光、磁性质作出了统一的理论解释。     

NH3+自由基离子的电子自旋共振

本文研究了俘获于掺杂VO⁺⁺离子的(NH₄)₂Zn(SO₄)₂·6H₂O单晶中NH₃⁺自由基离子的ESR.从实验上分别测出π电子自由基NH₃⁺的¹⁴N和¹⁵N核超精细分裂.结果表明,氮核超精细偶合张量具有近似于圆柱形对称。对于¹⁵N来说,A₁₁=44.8,A₂₂=19.3,A₃₃=17.8高斯.对于¹⁴N来说,A₁₁=31.1,A₂₂=12.5,A₃₃=11.8高斯.在室温下,NH₃⁺自由基绕A₁₁方向作圆锥体运动.文中最后讨论了NH₃⁺自由基离子的可能生成机理。
