We prove local existence, uniqueness, Hölder regularity in space and time, and smooth dependence in Hölder spaces for a general class of quasilinear parabolic initial boundary value problems with nonsmooth data. As a result the gap between low smoothness of the data, which is typical for many applications, and high smoothness of the solutions, which is necessary for the applicability of differential calculus to abstract formulations of the initial boundary value problems, has been closed. The theory works for any space dimension, and the nonlinearities in the equations as well as in the boundary conditions are allowed to be nonlocal and to have any growth. The main tools are new maximal regularity results (Griepentrog in Adv Differ Equ 12:781–840, 1031–1078, 2007) in Sobolev–Morrey spaces for linear parabolic initial boundary value problems with nonsmooth data, linearization techniques and the Implicit Function Theorem.  相似文献

We consider an initial-boundary value problem for a one-dimensional parabolic equation with nonlocal boundary conditions. These nonlocal conditions are given in terms of integrals. Based on solution of the Dirichlet problem for the parabolic equation, we constructively establish the well-posedness for the nonlocal problem.  相似文献

We establish conditions for the existence and nonexistence of global solutions of initial boundary value problem for a system of semilinear parabolic equations with nonlinear nonlocal Neumann boundary conditions. We show that these conditions are determined by the behavior of the problem coefficients as t→∞.  相似文献

Many physical subjects are modeled by nonclassical parabolic boundary value problems with nonlocal boundary conditions replacing the classic boundary conditions. In this article, we introduce a new numerical method for solving the one‐dimensional parabolic equation with nonlocal boundary conditions. The approximate proposed method is based upon the composite spectral functions. The properties of composite spectral functions consisting of terms of orthogonal functions are presented and are utilized to reduce the problem to some algebraic equations. The method is easy to implement and yields very accurate result. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq, 2008  相似文献

We consider a nonlocal initial–boundary value Bitsadze–Samarskii problem for a spatially one-dimensional parabolic second-order system in a semibounded domain with nonsmooth lateral boundary. The boundary integral equation method is used to construct a classical solution of this problem under the condition that the vector function on the right-hand side in the nonlocal boundary condition only has a continuous derivative of order 1/2 vanishing at t = 0. The smoothness of the solution is studied.  相似文献

This paper focuses on nonlocal integral boundary value problems for elliptic differential-operator equations. Here given conditions guarantee that maximal regularity and Fredholmness in $L_{p}$ spaces. These results are applied to the Cauchy problem for abstract parabolic equations, its infinite systems and boundary value problems for anisotropic partial differential equations in mixed $L_{\mathbf{p}}$ norm.  相似文献

Numerical solution of hyperbolic partial differential equation with an integral condition continues to be a major research area with widespread applications in modern physics and technology. Many physical phenomena are modeled by nonclassical hyperbolic boundary value problems with nonlocal boundary conditions. In place of the classical specification of boundary data, we impose a nonlocal boundary condition. Partial differential equations with nonlocal boundary specifications have received much attention in last 20 years. However, most of the articles were directed to the second‐order parabolic equation, particularly to heat conduction equation. We will deal here with new type of nonlocal boundary value problem that is the solution of hyperbolic partial differential equations with nonlocal boundary specifications. These nonlocal conditions arise mainly when the data on the boundary can not be measured directly. Several finite difference methods have been proposed for the numerical solution of this one‐dimensional nonclassic boundary value problem. These computational techniques are compared using the largest error terms in the resulting modified equivalent partial differential equation. Numerical results supporting theoretical expectations are given. Restrictions on using higher order computational techniques for the studied problem are discussed. Suitable references on various physical applications and the theoretical aspects of solutions are introduced at the end of this article. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper is concerned with a system of nonlinear partial differential equations, in short, the coupled Cahn-Hilliard equations, which consists of a fourth order quasilinear parabolic equation and a second order quasilinear parabolic equation. This system was recently derived by Penrose and Fife and also by Alt and Pawlow to describe the non-isothermal phase separation of a two-component system. The global existence and uniqueness of classical solutions is proved. The results about the asymptotic behavior, as time goes to infinity, of solution and about the existence and multiplicity of solutions to the corresponding stationary problem, which is a nonlinear boundary value problem involving nonlocal term and constraints, are also obtained.  相似文献

We state a new nonlocal boundary value problem for a mixed parabolic-hyperbolic equation. The equation is of the first kind, i.e., the curve on which the equation changes type is not a characteristic. The nonlocal condition involves points in hyperbolic and parabolic parts of the domain. This problem is a generalization of the well-known Frankl-type problems. Unlike other close publications, the hyperbolic part of the domain agrees with a characteristic triangle. We prove unique solvability of this problem in the sense of classical and strong solutions.  相似文献

A numerical method is suggested for solving systems of nonautonomous loaded linear ordinary differential equations with nonseparated multipoint and integral conditions. The method is based on the convolution of integral conditions into local ones. As a result, the original problem is reduced to an initial value (Cauchy) problem for systems of ordinary differential equations and linear algebraic equations. The approach proposed is used in combination with the linearization method to solve systems of loaded nonlinear ordinary differential equations with nonlocal conditions. An example of a loaded parabolic equation with nonlocal initial and boundary conditions is used to show that the approach can be applied to partial differential equations. Numerous numerical experiments on test problems were performed with the use of the numerical formulas and schemes proposed.  相似文献

In this paper we solve an initial‐boundary value problem that involves a pde with a nonlocal term. The problem comes from a cell division model where the growth is assumed to be stochastic. The deterministic version of this problem yields a first‐order pde; the stochastic version yields a second‐order parabolic pde. There are no general methods for solving such problems even for the simplest cases owing to the nonlocal term. Although a solution method was devised for the simplest version of the first‐order case, the analysis does not readily extend to the second‐order case. We develop a method for solving the second‐order case and obtain the exact solution in a form that allows us to study the long time asymptotic behaviour of solutions and the impact of the dispersion term. We establish the existence of a large time attracting solution towards which solutions converge exponentially in time. The dispersion term does not appear in the exponential rate of convergence.  相似文献

The solvability (in classical sense) of the Bitsadze–Samarskii nonlocal initial–boundary value problem for a one-dimensional (in x) second-order parabolic system in a semibounded domain with a nonsmooth lateral boundary is proved by applying the method of boundary integral equations. The only condition imposed on the right-hand side of the nonlocal boundary condition is that it has a continuous derivative of order 1/2 vanishing at t = 0. The smoothness of the solution is studied.  相似文献
