Chemical diffusivity of a mixed ionic–electronic conductor compound is often measured by monitoring the relaxation of electrical conductivity with time under a component's chemical potential gradient. Conductivity relaxations were systematically examined on undoped polycrystal BaTiO3, acceptor-doped polycrystal BaTiO3, donor-doped polycrystal BaTiO3, and undoped single crystal TiO2 upon oxidation and reduction, and on proton-conducting, acceptor-doped polycrystal SrCeO3 and BaCeO3 upon oxidation/reduction or hydration/dehydration at elevated temperatures. It has been found that there are three patterns of relaxation: single-fold (single relaxation time) monotonic, twofold (two relaxation times) monotonic and twofold non-monotonic relaxation. The inner working for each pattern is discussed and a general solution to the relaxations is presented in closed form, together with the chemical diffusivities as evaluated thereby.  相似文献

We investigate the phonon ballistic transmission and the thermal conductivity in a dielectric quantum structure. It is found that these observable quantities sensitively depend on geometric parameters, and are of quantum character. The total transmission coetfficient as a function of the reduced waveguide-length exhibits periodical behaviour and the reduced thermal conductance decreases below the ideal universal value for the low temperature. Our results show that one can control the thermal conductivity of the structure and make all kinds of acoustic filters to match practical requirements in devices by adjusting the geometric parameters.  相似文献

The heat transport m a one-dimensional (ID) carbon nanowire (CNW) lying in an external potential with different amplitudes and periods is studied by the non-equilibrium molecular dynamics method. It is found that the thermal conductivity of CNW is always anomalous, increasing with the CNW length and obeying the power law k- N, in which a decreases with the increasing external potential amplitude. The thermal conductivity could be enhanced by the external potential with rather larger amplitudes, which means that an applied external potential could be an efficient tool to improve the heat conductivity of a real 1D material In addition, the effect of different periods of the external potential is studied, finding the external potential with an incommensurate period leads to the smaller a value.  相似文献

The optical conductivity of impurity-doped parabolic quantum wells in an applied electric field is investigated with the memory-function approach, and the analytic expression for the optical conductivity is derived. With characteristic parameters pertaining to GaAs/Ga1-xAlxAs parabolic quantum wells, the numerical results are presented. It is shown that, the smaller the well width, the larger the peak intensity of the optical conductivity, and the more asymmetric the shape of the optical conductivity; the optical conductivity is more sensitive to the electric field, the electric field enhances the optical conductivity; when the dimension of the quantum well increases, the optical conductivity increases until it reaches a maximum value, and then decreases.  相似文献

The potential gradient is calculated as a function of the external magnetic field for a semiconductor surface in the form spatially periodic rectangular projections and indentations. Cases of projections that are much larger than and comparable with the electric-field shielding length are examined. it is shown that the functions have a maximum, whose magnitude and location are determined by the relationship between the electron and hole concentration and the surface profile and the relationship between the projection dimensions and the electric-field shielding length.Kharkov Institute of Radio Electronics. The establishment and spreading of biological populations depends crucially on population growth at low densities. The Allee effect is a problem in those populations where the per capita growth rate at low densities is reduced. We examine stochastic spatial models in which the reproduction rate changes across a gradient g so that the population undergoes a 2D-percolation transition. Without the Allee effect, the transition is continuous and the width w of the hull scales as in conventional (i.e., uncorrelated) gradient percolation, w ∝ g(-0.57). However, with a strong Allee effect the transition is first order and w ∝ g(-0.26).  相似文献

通过一道光改变另一道光的传输路线是光子集成网络中重要而长远的目标, 然而, 由于硅材料的光学非线性较弱, 在硅材料上实现开关的全光控制难以实现. 因此本文提出了一种由光梯度力驱动的纳米硅基光开关, 实现了硅基光开关的全光控制. 该光开关由一个部分悬空的微环谐振器和一个交叉波导结构构成, 当通入一道控制光时, 悬空的微环谐振器在光梯度力的作用下发生弯曲, 微环谐振器的谐振波长随之发生变化, 从而实现光信号的传输路线发生改变. 该光开关利用纳米光子制造技术在标准绝缘体上硅晶圆上制造, 实验数据得出其最小消光比为10.67 dB, 最大串扰为 -11.01 dB, 开关时间分别为180 ns和170 ns. 该光开关具有尺寸小, 响应速度快, 低损耗和可拓展等优点, 在片上集成光路、高速信号处理以及下一代光纤通信网络中具有潜在应用.  相似文献

In this paper, phase transitions are investigated in speed gradient model with an on-ramp. Phase diagrams of traffic flow composed of manually driven vehicles and adaptive cruise control (ACC) vehicles are studied, respectively. The traffic flow composed of ACC vehicles is modeled by enhancing propagation speed of small disturbance. The phase diagram of traffic flow composed of manually driven vehicles is similar to that in previous works, in which such states as pinned localized cluster (PLC), moving localized cluster (MLC), triggered stop-and-go traffic (TSG), oscillatory congested traffic (OCT), and homogeneous congested traffic (HCT) are reproduced. In the phase diagram of traffic flow composed of ACC vehicles, traffic stability is enhanced and such states as PLC, MLC, and TSG disappear. Furthermore, some interesting phenomena, such as stationary OCT upstream of on-ramp and appearance of second OCT in HCT, are identified.  相似文献

Expressions for the screening length of an external electrostatic field in a crystalline semiconductor are derived in the Debye–Hückel and Mott–Schottky approximations taking into account electron (hole) hopping via hydrogen-like donors (acceptors). The feasibility of determining the Debye–Hückel screening length from measurements of a quasi-static capacitance with low and high degrees of basic dopant compensation has been demonstrated even in a strong field, that is, in the Mott–Schottky approximation. To measure the capacitance, the electric signal frequency must be much less than the average frequency of electron hopping via donors.  相似文献

The general relativistic kinetic theory including the effect of a stationary gravitational field is applied to the electromagnetic transport processes in conductors. Then it is applied to derive the general relativistic Ohm's law where the gravitomagnetic terms are incorporated. The total electric charge quantity and charge distribution inside conductors carrying conduction current in some relativistic cases are considered. The general relativistic Ohm's law is applied to predict new gravitomagnetic and gyroscopic effects which can, in principle, be used to detect the Lense-Thirring and rotational fields.  相似文献
