The structural phase transitions of (C3H7NH3)2CdCl4 (PACC) have been studied by means of Raman scattering. X-ray diffraction and DSC measurements It is shown that the order-disorder phase transition Abma ? Pbca occurs at 156 K and not at 183 K as previously proposed by Chapuis (Acta CrystB34, 1506 (1978)) Apparently, the transition at 183 K does not change the Abma space group; it is suggested that it could be related to the occurrence of an incommensurate phase Another structural transformation of PACC is detected at 114 K, but no conclusion can be given as far as the structure of the low-temperature phase is not determined.  相似文献

The dielectric constant of (CH3NH3)2 CdCl4 has been measured as a function of temperature in the submillimeter range. Freshly grown samples with a wide domain structure at room temperature show a pronounced dichroism in this spectral range which is caused by the orientation of the molecules in the room temperature orthorhombic phase and their response to the electromagnetic wave.  相似文献

Chemical preparation and crystal structure are given for a new cyclotetraphosphate: [3,5-(CH3)2C6H3NH3]4P4O12·3H2O. This compound is triclinic P with the following unit-cell parameters: a=8.298(3), b=8.299(3), c=17.242(7)Å, α=97.13(3), β=102.72(3), γ=64.55(3)°, Z=1 and V=1045.2(8)Å3. The crystal structure has been solved and refined to R=0.040 using 6086 independent reflections. The atomic arrangement can be described as layers organization. Layers built by P4O12 ring anions, ammonium groups and water molecules parallel to the plan (001), between which the organic groups are located. Characterization by X-ray diffraction, IR absorption, and thermal analysis are described.  相似文献

运用激光拉曼光谱实验和密度泛函理论计算研究了450~1 700 cm-1光谱范围内有机-无机杂化钙钛矿材料(C6H5CH2NH3)2PbBr4的振动模式特性。对比实验所得拉曼光谱和理论计算所得拉曼光谱,发现密度泛函理论计算可以很好的模拟(C6H5CH2NH3)2PbBr4有机部分的分子振动模式。同时通过比较分析密度泛函理论计算和参考文献,对450~1 700 cm-1光谱范围内的拉曼峰的分子振动模式进行了初步的归属,并发现该光谱范围内的拉曼峰主要是由(C6H5CH2NH3)2PbBr4分子中有机部分振动所产生的。  相似文献

A new [(C2H5)4N]6Bi8Cl30 crystal of the family of alkylammonium halogenobismuthates was grown. X-ray diffraction studies showed that the crystals are monoclinic, space group C2/m with a = 20.117(5), b = 12.682(3), c = 20.396(5) Å, β = 93.03(3), Z =2. The lattice consists of (C2H5)4N+ cations and a new type of Bi8Cl6−30 anion. Dielectric studies revealed two closely-lying structural phase transitions around 241 K (on cooling). They were interpreted as due to a freezing of the rotational motions of tetraethylammonium cations.  相似文献

Phase transitions of tetra(isopropylammonium)decachlorotricadmate(II) [(CH3)2CHNH3]4Cd3Cl10 crystal have been studied by infrared, far infrared and Raman measurements in wide temperature range, between 11 K and 388 K. The temperature changes of wavenumber, center of gravity, width and intensity of the bands were analyzed to clarify cationic and anionic contributions to the phase transitions mechanism. The results of investigation showed earlier by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermal expansion and dielectric measurements clearly confirmed the sequence of phase transitions at T1=353 K, T2=294 K and T3=260 K. The current results derived from DSC and infrared measurements revealed additional phase transition at T4=120 K.  相似文献

Chemical preparation, calorimetric studies, crystal structure and spectroscopic investigations are given for a new noncentrosymmetric organic cation monophosphate [2,5-(CH3)2C6H3NH3]H2PO4. This compound is orthorhombic P212121 with the following unit-cell parameters: a=5.872(4), b=20.984(3), c=8.465(1) Å, Z=4, V=1043.0(5) Å3 and Dx=1.396 g cm−3. Crystal structure has been solved and refined to R=0.048 using 2526 independent reflections. Structure can be described as an inorganic layer parallel to (a,b) planes between which organic groups [2,5-(CH3)2C6H3NH3]+ are located. Multiple hydrogen bonds connecting the different entities of compound thrust upon three-dimensional network a noncentrosymmetric configuration.  相似文献

By using diamond anvil cell (DAC), high-pressure Raman spectroscopic studies of orthophosphates Ba3(PO4)2 and Sr3(PO4)2 were carried out up to 30.7 and 30.1 GPa, respectively. No pressure-induced phase transition was found in the studies. A methanol:ethanol:water (16:3:1) mixture was used as pressure medium in DAC, which is expected to exhibit nearly hydrostatic behavior up to about 14.4 GPa at room temperature. The behaviors of the phosphate modes in Ba3(PO4)2 and Sr3(PO4)2 below 14.4 GPa were quantitatively analyzed. The Raman shift of all modes increased linearly and continuously with pressure in Ba3(PO4)2 and Sr3(PO4)2. The pressure coefficients of the phosphate modes in Ba3(PO4)2 range from 2.8179 to 3.4186 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν3, 2.9609 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν1, from 0.9855 to 1.8085 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν4, and 1.4330 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν2, and the pressure coefficients of the phosphate modes in Sr3(PO4)2 range from 3.4247 to 4.3765 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν3, 3.7808 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν1, from 1.1005 to 1.9244 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν4, and 1.5647 cm−1 GPa−1 for ν2.  相似文献

Local structural order and temperature-dependent structural variation have been studied in the molecular-based layer ferrimagnet (n-C4H9)4N FeIIFeIII(C2O4)3 by EXAFS and high resolution X-ray powder diffraction. The EXAFS spectra measured at the Fe K-edge are successfully modelled by successive O, C, O and metal shells, showing that even when there is extensive structural disorder due to stacking faults, the local structural order in this class of ferrimagnets is fully retained. In this salt, which shows remarkable negative magnetisation at low temperature (Néel class Q), the EXAFS Debye-Waller factor has a discontinuity at 40 K, corresponding to one found in the magnetisation. At the same temperature there is also a change in the expansion of the lattice as evidenced by the high resolution X-ray powder diffraction.  相似文献

The X-ray diffraction, vibrational and impedance spectroscopy studies of (Cs)0.26(Rb)0.74H(SO4)0.89(SeO4)0.11 (CsRbHSSe) new solid solution are presented. The title compound undergo a superionic phase transition (SPT) at This transition was confirmed by an abrupt increase of conductivity. The bulk impedance parameters of CsRbHSSe, RbH(SO4)0.81(SeO4)0.19 (RbHSSe) and CsH(SO4)0.76(SeO4)0.24 (CsHSSe) were determined from an analysis of AC conductivity data measured in a wide temperature range. The charge carriers concentration in the samples investigated has been evaluated using the Almond-West formalism and shown to be independent of temperature.  相似文献

We used optical birefringence, X-ray and neutron diffraction methods with single crystals to study the structural phase transitions of the perowskite-type layer structures of (CH3NH3)2MeCl4 with Me=Mn, Fe. The Mn-compound shows the following structural transitions at 394 K — a continuous order-disorder phase transition from tetragonal symmetry I4mmm to orthorhombic space group Abma (Cmca in reference 10); at 257 K — a discontinuous transition to a second tetragonal modification; at 95 K — a discontinuous transition to a monoclinic phase. For the Fe-compound the corresponding transition temperatures are 328 K and 231 K, respectively. A low temperature monoclinic phase could not be observed. The lattice parameters of the different modifications were determined as a function of temperature. The temperature dependent course of the order parameter has been investigated for the order—disorder transition. For both compounds, all the methods used gave the same value for the critical exponent of β = 0.315.  相似文献

A second order phase transition between the space groups D182h and D174hleads to the high temperature tetragonal phase of (CH3NH3)2MnCl4. Similar transitions to tetragonal phases exist also in the ethyl- and propyl-compounds. Transition temperature increase with an increasing carbon chain length. Very low ΔH- and ΔS-values are compatible with a transition model obtained from nuclear resonance experiments. Further thermoanalytical results bear evidence on the complex role of alkyl-ammonium groups.  相似文献

The a.c. magnetic susceptibility (χ) was measured for (C6H5CH2NH3)2CuCl4 (φC1Cl) above 4.2K, and two-consecutively anomalous behaviours of χ were observed at 6K and 6.9K. Brief discussions about these phenomena were given in relation to the two-dimensionality of φC1Cl system.  相似文献

Polycrystalline samples and small single crystals of the perovskite BaCeO3 were studied by neutron diffraction and Raman spectrometry between 300 and 1200 K. The controversy about the phase transitions originally deduced from our previous Raman study and those observed since by neutron diffraction by Knight has stimulated this work. Pretransitional effects which are detected by Raman much before long-range ordering takes place can partly explain the above disagreement. A continuous monitoring of the structural changes by neutron diffraction and by Raman spectroscopy including polarization analysis has allowed discussion of the transition mechanisms: The first transition Pnma–Imma takes place at 573 K and is of second order. Although some modes soften when the temperature is raised as in many of these perovskite compounds the transition is likely partly displacive partly order–disorder. The Raman modes which disappear transform in modes at the X point of the Brillouin zone of the Imma phase. The second transition Imma–R c takes place at 673 K and is first order. The last transition R c–Pm3m occurs above 1200 K and the transition temperature which can be deduced by extrapolation to zero Raman intensity is in good agreement with neutron results. This second order transition is progressive and begins at about 400 K, the intermediate R c structure appearing as an attempt for slowing down the structural evolution toward the cubic perovskite form.  相似文献

The work presents a detailed analysis of the sequencing of the structural phase transitions in NH3(CH2)3NH3CdCl4 crystal by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray, infrared, far infrared and Raman spectroscopy. DSC studies have shown that in analyzed crystal occurring one reversible continuous phase transition at 375/374 K (on heating/cooling). Observed in Nujol and Fluorolube mulls in the wide temperature range between 296 K and 413 K spectral changes through the structural phase transition can be attributed to an onset of motion of cations. An assignment of some bands due to internal modes has been also proposed.  相似文献

An in situ Raman spectroscopic study was conducted to investigate the pressure induced phase transformation of MgCr2O4 spinel up to pressures of 76.4 GPa. Results indicate that MgCr2O4 spinel undergoes a phase transformation to the CaFe2O4 (or CaTi2O4) structure at 14.2 GPa, and this transition is complete at 30.1 GPa. The coexistence of two phases over a wide range of pressure implies a sluggish transition mechanism. No evidence was observed to support the pressure-induced dissociation of MgCr2O4 at 5.7-18.8 GPa, predicted by the theoretical simulation. This high pressure MgCr2O4 polymorphism remains stable upon release of pressure, but at ambient conditions, it transforms to the spinel phase.  相似文献

A novel layered hydrotalcite-like material, Co7(H2O)2(OH)12(C2H4S2O6), has been prepared hydrothermally and the structure determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction (a=6.2752(19) Å, b=8.361(3) Å, c=9.642(3) Å, α=96.613(5)°, β=98.230(5)°, γ=100.673(5)°, R1=0.0551). The structure consists of brucite-like sheets where 1/6 of the octahedral sites are replaced by two tetrahedrally coordinated Co(II) above and below the plane of the layer. Ethanedisulfonate anions occupy the space between layers and provide charge balance for the positively charged layers. The compound is ferrimagnetic, with a Curie temperature of 33 K, Curie-Weiss θ of −31 K, and a coercive field of 881 Oe at 5 K.  相似文献

The absorption spectra of the [NH2(C2H5)2]2CuCl4 crystals grown from a solution in ethyl alcohol and also of solid solutions of [NH2(C2H5)2]2Zn0.5Cu0.5Cl4 in the visible spectral region have been investigated in the vicinity of thermochromic phase transitions.
