The Fourier transform infrared spectrum of monoisotopic D3Si35Cl in the region of the nu2/nu5 band system was recorded with a resolution of 2.4x10(-3) cm-1. More than 9000 lines of the strongly Coriolis x,y-coupled bands, (nu2)0=701.936, and (nu5)0=688.898 cm-1, have been assigned, among them 276 forbidden but perturbation allowed transitions around avoided crossings according to Delta(k-l)=+/-3 mechanisms. Three different models taking into account redundancies in the framework of unitary equivalent reductions of the rovibrational Hamiltonian have been employed to fit the data. All three models reproduced consistently the full data set employing 28 refined parameters with an rms deviation of 0.31x10(-3) cm-1. The equivalence of the parameter sets was established by the agreement of parameter sums obtained with the different models. The analysis of the avoided crossings, together with the fit of the forbidden lines, allowed an independent determination of the ground state parameters A0 and D(K)0. Combined with existing data for nu1, nu3, nu4, and nu6, the present results allowed the determination of experimental values, Ae=1.4371895(94) and Be=0.19823049(59) cm-1. The experimental results are compared with those of previous ab initio calculations of the anharmonic force field.  相似文献

We present experimental infrared spectra and theoretical electronic structure results for the geometry, anharmonic vibrational frequencies, and accurate estimates of the magnitude and the origin of the ring-puckering barrier in C4F8. High-resolution (0.0015 cm-1) spectra of the nu12 and nu13 parallel bands of perfluorocyclobutane (c-C4F8) were recorded for the first time by expanding a 10% c-C4F8 in helium mixture in a supersonic jet. Both bands are observed to be rotationally resolved in a jet with a rotational temperature of 15 K. The nu12 mode has b2 symmetry under D2d that correlates to a2u symmetry under D4h and consequently has +/- <-- +/- ring-puckering selection rules. A rigid rotor fit of the nu12 band yields the origin at 1292.56031(2) cm-1 with B' = 0.0354137(3) cm-1 and B' ' = 0.0354363(3) cm-1. The nu13 mode is of b2 symmetry under D2d that correlates to b2g under D4h, and in this case, the ring-puckering selection rules are +/- <-- -/+ . Rotational transitions from the ground and first excited torsional states will be separated by the torsional splitting in the ground and excited vibrational states, and indeed, we observe a splitting of each transition into strong and weak intensity components with a separation of approximately 0.0018 cm-1. The strong and weak sets of transitions were fit separately again using a rigid rotor model to give nu13(strong) = 1240.34858(4) cm-1, B' = 0.0354192(7) cm-1, and B' ' = 0.0354355(7) cm-1 and nu13(weak) = 1240.34674(5) cm-1, B' = 0.0354188(9) cm-1, and B' ' = 0.0354360(7) cm-1. High-level electronic structure calculations at the MP2 and CCSD(T) levels of theory with the family of correlation consistent basis sets of quadruple-zeta quality, developed by Dunning and co-workers, yield best estimates for the vibrationally averaged structural parameters r(C-C) = 1.568 A, r(C-F)alpha = 1.340 A, r(C-F)beta = 1.329 A, alpha(F-C-F) = 110.3 degrees , thetaz(C-C-C) = 89.1 degrees , and delta(C-C-C-C) = 14.6 degrees and rotational constants of A = B = 0.03543 cm-1 and C = 0.02898 cm-1, the latter within 0.00002 cm-1 from the experimentally determined values. Anharmonic vibrational frequencies computed using higher energy derivatives at the MP2 level of theory are all within <27 cm-1 (in most cases <5 cm-1) from the experimentally measured fundamentals. Our best estimate for the ring-puckering barrier at the CCSD(T)/CBS (complete basis set) limit is 132 cm-1. Analysis of the C4F8 electron density suggests that the puckering barrier arises principally from the sigmaCC-->sigmaCF hyperconjugative interactions that are more strongly stabilizing in the puckered than in the planar form. These interactions are, however, somewhat weaker in C4F8 than in C4H8, a fact that is consistent with the smaller barrier in the former (132 cm-1) with respect to the latter (498 cm-1).  相似文献

The anion [Au2(CS3)2]2- has an unusually short Au-Au distance (2.80 A) for a binuclear Au(I) complex. We report detailed Raman studies of the nBu4N+ salt of this complex, including FT-Raman of the solid and UV/vis resonance Raman of dimethyl sulfoxide solutions. All five totally symmetric vibrations of the anion have been located and assigned. A band at delta nu = 125 cm-1 is assigned to nu (Au2). The visible-region electronic absorption bands (384 (epsilon 30,680) and 472 nm (epsilon 610 M-1 cm-1)) are attributable to CS3(2-) localized transitions, as confirmed by the dominance of nu sym(C-Sexo) (delta nu = 951 cm-1) in RR spectra measured in this region. An absorption band at 314 nm (22,250 M-1 cm-1) is assigned as the metal-metal 1(d sigma*-->p sigma) transition, largely because nu sym(C-Sexo) is not strongly enhanced in RR involving this band. Observation of the expected strong resonance enhancement of nu (Au2) was precluded as a result of masking by intense solvent Rayleigh scattering in the UV.  相似文献

A vibrational-rotational spectrum of the deltanu=2 transitions of a high-temperature molecule AlF was observed between 1,490 and 1,586 cm(-1) with a diode laser spectrometer. Measurements were made on the nu=3-1, 4-2, 5-3 and 8-6 bands at a temperature of 900 degrees C. Measured spectral lines were fitted to effective band constants nu(0), B(nu) and D(nu) for each band. Present measurements were made with only one Pb-salt laser diode. Physical significance of the effective band constants is discussed.  相似文献

The nu 3(sigma u) fundamental vibration of 1 sigma g+ Si2C3 has been observed using a laser vaporization-supersonic cluster beam-diode laser spectrometer. Forty rovibrational transitions were measured in the range of 1965.8 to 1970.9 cm-1 with a rotational temperature of 10-15 K. A least-squares fit of these transitions yielded the following molecular constants: nu 3(sigma u)=1968.188 31(18) cm-1, B"=0.031 575 1(60) cm-1, and B'=0.031 437 4(57) cm-1. These results are in excellent agreement with recent Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) measurements of Si2C3 trapped in a solid Ar matrix [J. Chem. Phys. 100, 181(1994)] and with ab initio calculations [J. Chem. Phys. 100, 175 (1994)] which suggest cumulenic-like bonding for Si2C3, analogous to the isovalent C5 carbon cluster.  相似文献

Rotationally resolved infrared absorption spectra for the 1(0)(1) band of jet cooled cobalt tricarbonyl nitrosyl have been observed and analyzed. Several longitudinal modes of a Pb-salt diode laser were utilized to measure 105 rovibrational transitions for this particular vibrational band centered near 2112 cm(-1). Spectra were optimized using both argon and helium carrier gases and these experiments eventually led to rovibrational transitions being assigned to four different K subbands, specifically the K = 0, 3, 6, and 9 subbands. An iterative least-squares analysis of the spectroscopic data yielded the following molecular parameters nu0 = 2111.7457(9) cm(-1), B0 = 0.034747(12) cm(-1), B1 = 0.034695(15) cm(-1), C1 = 0.03380(9) cm(-1), and D1K = 6.3(9) x 10(-6) cm(-1) (where 3sigma uncertainties are listed in parenthesis).  相似文献

Employing a tetradentate N3S(thioether) ligand, LN3S, dioxygen reactivity of a copper(I) complex, [(LN3S)CuI]+ (1) was examined. In CH2Cl2, acetone (at -80 degrees C), or 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (at -128 degrees C), 1 reacts with O2 producing the end-on bound peroxodicopper(II) complex [{(LN3S)CuII}2(mu-1,2-O2(2-))]2+ (2), the first reported copper-dioxygen adduct with sulfur (thioether) ligation. Its absorption spectrum contains an additional low-energy feature (but not a Cu-S CT band) compared to the previously well-characterized N4 ligand complex, [{(TMPA)CuII}2(mu-1,2-O2(2-))]2+ (3) (TMPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine). Resonance Raman spectroscopy confirms the peroxo formulation {nu(O-O) = 817 cm-1 (16-18O2 Delta = 46 cm-1) and nu(Cu-O) = 545 cm-1 (16-18O2 Delta = 26 cm-1), in close analogy to that known for 3 {nu(O-O) = 827 cm-1 and nu(Cu-O) = 561 cm-1}. Direct evidence for thioether ligation comes from EXAFS spectroscopy {Cu K-edge; Cu-S = 2.4 A}.  相似文献

We have observed fully rotationally resolved transitions of the photoelectron vibrational bands 2(4), 2(5), 1(1)2(1), and 1(1)2(3) for ammonia cation (NH3+) by two-color infrared (IR)-vacuum ultraviolet (VUV)- pulsed field-ionization photoelectron (PFI-PE) measurements. By preparing an intermediate rovibrational state of neutral NH(3) with a known parity by IR excitation followed by VUV-PFI-PE measurements, we show that the photoelectron parity can be determined unambiguously. The IR-VUV-PFI-PE measurement of the 2(4) band clearly reveals the formation of both even and odd l states for the photoelectrons, where l is the orbital angular momentum quantum number. This observation is consistent with the conclusion that the lack of inversion symmetry for NH3 and NH3+ allows odd/even l mixings, rendering the production of both odd and even l states for the photoelectrons. Evidence is also found, indicating that the photoionization transitions with DeltaK=0 are strongly favored compared to that with DeltaK=3. For the 2(5), 1(1)2(1), and 1(1)2(3) bands, only DeltaK=0 transitions for the production of even l photoelectron states from the J'K'=2(0) rotational level of NH3(nu1=1) are observed. The preferential formation of even l photoelectron states for these vibrational bands is attributed to the fact that the DeltaK=0 transitions for the formation of odd l photoelectron states from the 2(0) rotational level of NH3(nu1=1) are suppressed by the constraint of nuclear-spin statistics. In addition to information obtained on the photoionization dynamics of NH3, this experiment also provides a more precise value of 3232+/-10 cm-1 for the nu1+ (N-H stretch) vibrational frequency of NH3+.  相似文献

The two-photon resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization spectrum between 285 and 288.5 nm of the 5pπE2Πr(v’=1)←X2Πr(v’’=0) band of CF radical is reported. The band is rotationally analyzed, and the spectroscopic constants of the state are first derived: σ0 = 69566.38±0.52 cm-1, A'v= 46.4±0.3 cm-1, B'v= 2.565±0.017 cm-1, D' v = (8.6±1.2)×10-6cm-1.  相似文献

The FTIR spectra of CH2[double bond]CHF have been investigated in the nu(8), nu(10), and nu(11) region between 750 and 1050 cm(-1) at a resolution of about 0.002 cm(-1). The nu(8) vibration of symmetry species A' gives rise to an a/b-type hybrid band, while the nu(10) and nu(11) modes of A' ' symmetry produce c-type absorptions. Due to the proximity of their band origins, the three vibrations perturb each other by Coriolis and high-order anharmonic resonances. In particular, the interactions between the nu(8) and nu(10) modes are very strong and widespread with band origins separated by only 1.37 cm(-1). Besides the expected c-type characteristics, the nu(10) band shows a very intense pseudo a-type component caused by the strong first-order Coriolis resonances with the nu(8) state. Furthermore, the 2nu(9) "dark state" was found to be involved in the interacting band systems. The spectral analysis resulted in the identification of 3144, 3235, and 3577 transitions of the nu(8), nu(10), and nu(11) vibrations, respectively. Almost all the assigned data were simultaneously fitted using the Watson's A-reduction Hamiltonian in the Ir representation and the perturbation operators. The model employed includes nine types of resonances within the tetrad nu(8)/nu(10)/nu(11)/2nu(9) and a set of spectroscopic constants for the nu(8), nu(10), and nu(11) fundamentals as well as parameters for the "dark state" 2nu(9), and fourteen coupling terms have been determined.  相似文献

The vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)pulsed field ionization-photoelectron( PFI-PE)spectrum for trichloroethene(ClCH=CCl2)has been measured in the energy range of 76400-79650 cm-1 . The vibrational bands resolved in the VUV-PFI-PE spectrum are assigned based on ab initio vibrational frequencies and calculated Franck-Condon factors for the ionization transitions, yielding eleven vibrational frequencies for ClCH=CCl2+:v1+=148 cm-1,v2+= 80 cm-1,v3+=286 cm-1,v4+=402 cm-1,v5+= 472 cm-1,v6+=660 cm-1,v7+=875 cm-1,v8+=990 cm-1,v9+=1038 cm-1,v10+=1267 cm-1,and v11+=1408 cm-1. These measurements along with the frequency v12+=3073 cm-1 determined in the recent VUV-infrared photo-induced ionization study have provided the complete set of twelve experimental vibrational frequencies for ClCH = CCl2+ in its ground electronic state. On the basis of the spectral simulation of the origin VUV-PFI-PE vibrational band,we have determined the IE(ClCH=CCl2)to be(76441.7±2.0)cm-1((9.4776±0.0002)eV).  相似文献

Infrared spectra of mass-selected F- -(CH4)n (n = 1-8) clusters are recorded in the CH stretching region (2500-3100 cm-1). Spectra for the n = 1-3 clusters are interpreted with the aid of ab initio calculations at the MP2/6-311++G(2df 2p) level, which suggest that the CH4 ligands bind to F- by equivalent, linear hydrogen bonds. Anharmonic frequencies for CH4 and F--CH4 are determined using the vibrational self-consistent field method with second-order perturbation theory correction. The n = 1 complex is predicted to have a C3v structure with a single CH group hydrogen bonded to F-. Its spectrum exhibits a parallel band associated with a stretching vibration of the hydrogen-bonded CH group that is red-shifted by 380 cm-1 from the nu1 band of free CH4 and a perpendicular band associated with the asymmetric stretching motion of the nonbonded CH groups, slightly red-shifted from the nu3 band of free CH4. As n increases, additional vibrational bands appear as a result of Fermi resonances between the hydrogen-bonded CH stretching vibrational mode and the 2nu4 overtone and nu2+nu4 combination levels of the methane solvent molecules. For clusters with n < or = 8, it appears that the CH4 molecules are accommodated in the first solvation shell, each being attached to the F- anion by equivalent hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The synthesis of a mononuclear, five-coordinate ferrous complex [([15]aneN4)FeII(SPh)](BF4) (1) is reported. This complex is a new model of the reduced active site of the enzyme superoxide reductase (SOR), which is comprised of a [(NHis)4(Scys)FeII] center. Complex 1 reacts with alkylhydroperoxides (tBuOOH, cumenylOOH) at low temperature to give a metastable, dark red intermediate (2a: R = tBu; 2b: R = cumenyl) that has been characterized by UV-vis, EPR, and resonance Raman spectroscopy. The UV-vis spectrum (-80 degrees C) reveals a 526 nm absorbance (epsilon = 2150 M-1 cm-1) for 2a and a 527 nm absorbance (epsilon = 1650 M-1 cm-1) for 2b, indicative of alkylperoxo-to-iron(III) LMCT transitions, and the EPR data (77 K) show that both intermediates are low-spin iron(III) complexes (g = 2.20 and 1.97). Definitive identification of the Fe(III)-OOR species comes from RR spectra, which give nu(Fe-O) = 612 (2a) and 615 (2b) cm-1, and nu(O-O) = 803 (2a) and 795 (2b) cm-1. The assignments for 2a were confirmed by 18O substitution (tBu18O18OH), resulting in a 28 cm-1 downshift for nu(Fe-18O), and a 46 cm-1 downshift for nu(18O-18O). These data show that 2a and 2b are low-spin FeIII-OOR species with weak Fe-O bonds and suggest that a low-spin intermediate may occur in SOR, as opposed to previous proposals invoking high-spin intermediates.  相似文献

Raman data suggest that a crystallographically determined Cl3CD...F2BF2- interaction in the solid-state structure of [Ru(CNBut)(CO)(eta2-C6H4-2-CHO)(PPh3)2][BF4].2CDCl3 is an example of a blue-shifting bifurcated hydrogen bond. The nu(C-D) band blue-shifts 5 cm-1 to 2269 cm-1 compared to 2264 cm-1 for CDCl3 in the gas phase and 20 cm-1 from frozen CDCl3 at 2249 cm-1. A conventional interpretation of these band shifts would suggest that the CCl2 fragment of DCCl3 is a stronger hydrogen-bond acceptor than the BF2 fragment of a BF4- group.  相似文献

The nu(5)+nu(9) spectra of ethylene, C(2)H(4), and its dimer, solvated in helium nanodroplets, have been recorded in the wavelength region near 1.6 microm. The monomer transitions show homogeneous broadening of approximately 0.5 cm(-1), which is interpreted as due to an upper state vibrational relaxation lifetime of approximately 10 ps. Nearly resonant vibrational energy transfer (nu(5)+nu(9)-->2nu(5)) is proposed as the relaxation pathway. The dimer gives a single unresolved absorption feature located 4 cm(-1) to the red of the monomer band origin. The scaling of moments of inertia upon solvation in helium is 1.18 for the monomer and >2.5 for the dimer. In terms of the adiabatic following approximation, this classifies the monomer as a fast rotor and the dimer as a slow rotor.  相似文献

Transient mid-infrared spectroscopy is used to probe the dynamics initiated by excitation of ligand-to-metal (400 nm) and metal-to-ligand (345 nm) charge transfer states of FeIII complexed with acetylacetonate (Fe(acac)3, where acac stands for deprotonated anion of acetylacetone) in solution. Transient spectra in the 1500-1600 cm-1 range show two broad absorptions red-shifted from the bleach of the nu(CO) (approximately 1575 cm-1) and nu(C=C) (approximately 1525 cm-1) ground state absorptions. Bleach recovery kinetics has a time constant of 12-19 ps in chloroform and tetrachloroethylene and it decreases by 30-40% in a 10% mixture of methanol in tetrachloroethylene. The transient absorptions experience band narrowing simultaneously with blue-shifting of the absorption maxima. Both phenomena have time constants of 3-9 ps with no evident dependence on the solvent. The experimental observations are ascribed to fast conversion of the initially excited charge transfer states to the ligand field manifold, and subsequent vibrational cooling on the lowest ligand field excited state prior to electronic conversion to the ground state. The analysis of time dependent bandwidths and positions of the transient absorptions provides some evidence of mode specific vibrational cooling.  相似文献

This study gives our analysis of the Raman bandwidths using the soft mode-hard mode coupling model applied to ammonium halides. The temperature dependence of our observed bandwidths for the nu5(174 cm-1) Raman mode of NH4Cl and nu5(177 cm-1) Raman mode of NH4Br, is analyzed close to phase transitions. From our analysis, we obtain beta=0.13 as the values of the critical exponent for the order parameter in the first order phase region for the ammonium halides.  相似文献

Vibrational relaxation in methane-oxygen mixtures has been investigated by means of a time-resolved pump-probe technique. Methane molecules are excited into selected rotational levels by tuning the pump laser to 2nu3 lines. The time evolution in population of various vibrational levels after the pumping pulse is monitored by probing, near 3000 cm-1, stretching transitions between various polyads like 2nu3(F2) - nu3, (nu3+2nu4) - 2nu4, and (nu3+nu4) - nu4 transitions. Measurements were performed from room temperature down to 190 K. A numerical kinetic model, taking into account the main collisional processes connecting energy levels up to 6000 cm(-1), has been developed to describe the vibrational relaxation. The model allows us to reproduce the observed signals and to determine rate coefficients of relaxation processes occurring upon CH4-O2 collisions. For the vibrational energy exchange, the rate coefficient of transfer from O2 (v = 1) to CH4 is found equal to (1.32 +/- 0.09) x 10(-12) cm3 molecule-1 s(-1) at 296 K and to (1.50 +/- 0.08) x 10(-12) cm3 molecule(-1) s(-1) at 193 K.  相似文献

In this study we present the gas-phase vibrational spectrum of vinylacetic acid with a focus on the nu = 1-5 vibrational states of the OH stretching transitions. Cross sections for nu = 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the OH stretching vibrational transitions are derived on the basis of the vapor pressure data obtained for vinylacetic acid. Ab initio calculations are used to assist in the band assignments of the experimental spectra, and to determine the threshold for the decarboxylation of vinylacetic acid. When compared to the theoretical energy barrier to decarboxylation, it is found that the nu OH = 4 transition with thermal excitation of low frequency modes or rotational motion and nu OH = 5 transitions have sufficient energy for the reaction to proceed following overtone excitation.  相似文献

A spectroscopic study of CH279BrF in the infrared and microwave regions has been carried out. The rovibrational spectrum of the nu5 fundamental interacting with 2nu6 has been investigated by high-resolution FTIR spectroscopy. Owing to the weakness of the 2nu6 band, the v6 = 2 state constants have been derived from v6 = 1. For this reason, the rotational spectra of the ground and v6 = 1 states have been observed by means of microwave spectroscopy. Highly accurate ab initio computations have also been performed at the CCSD(T) level of theory in order to support the experimental investigation. As far as the nu5 band is concerned, the analysis of the rovibrational structure led to the identification of more than 3000 transitions, allowing the determination of a set of spectroscopic parameters up to sextic distortion terms and pointing out first-order c-type Coriolis interaction with the v6 = 2 state. With regard to the pure rotational spectra measurements, the assignment of several DeltaJ = 0, +1 transitions allowed the determination of the rotational, all the quartic, and most of the sextic centrifugal distortion constants, as well as the full bromine quadrupole coupling tensor for both the ground and v6 = 1 states.  相似文献
