We investigate almost contact metric manifolds whose Reeb vector field is a harmonic unit vector field, equivalently a harmonic section. We first consider an arbitrary Riemannian manifold and characterize the harmonicity of a unit vector field ??, when ??? is symmetric, in terms of Ricci curvature. Then, we show that for the class of locally conformal almost cosymplectic manifolds whose Reeb vector field ?? is geodesic, ?? is a harmonic section if and only if it is an eigenvector of the Ricci operator. Moreover, we build a large class of locally conformal almost cosymplectic manifolds whose Reeb vector field is a harmonic section. Finally, we exhibit several classes of almost contact metric manifolds where the associated almost contact metric structures ?? are harmonic sections, in the sense of Vergara-Diaz and Wood?[25], and in some cases they are also harmonic maps.  相似文献

In this paper we shall be concerned with the asymptotic properties of the regression quantile estimation in the nonlinear regression time series models. For these, first we prove the strong consistency and derive the asymptotic normality of the regression quantile estimators for a particular sinusoidal regression model with a simple harmonic component. Next, we extend the results to more complicated sinusoidal models of several harmonic components.  相似文献

In the present note we have studied the harmonic and anharmonic oscillations of cylindrical plasma using Lagrangian formalism. In order to study the harmonic oscillations, the equations are linearized and the resulting equation for the displacement has been numerically solved. For situations present in thermonuclear reactors, the presence of axial magnetic field is found necessary to make the periods of oscillation to become comparable with the time required for the thermonuclear reactions to set in. A detailed analysis of the anharmonic oscillations reveals that the significant interaction is between the first and the second mode. The fundamental period of anharmonic oscillation is more than the corresponding period of harmonic oscillations by 9·2%. Graphs have been drawn for the amplitudes of relative variations in density and magnetic field and of the time-varying part of anharmonic oscillation.  相似文献

The paper shows that any Jacobi field along a harmonic map fromthe 2-sphere to the complex projective plane is integrable (thatis, is tangent to a smooth variation through harmonic maps).This provides one of the few known answers to the problem ofintegrability, which was raised in different contexts of geometryand analysis. It implies that the Jacobi fields form the tangentbundle to each component of the manifold of harmonic maps fromS2 to CP2 thus giving the nullity of any such harmonic map;it also has a bearing on the behaviour of weakly harmonic E-minimizingmaps from a 3-manifold to CP2 near a singularity and the structureof the singular set of such maps from any manifold to CP2.  相似文献

Based on the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses and adequate supplementary hypotheses for the distribution of electric field quantities, a model for parametric vibrations of composite shells of revolution made of a passive (without a piezoeffect) middle layer and two active (with a piezoeffect) surface layers under the action of harmonic mechanical and electric loads is developed. The dissipative material properties are taken into account by linear viscoelastic models. Since the vibrations on the boundary of the main domain of dynamic instability (MDDI) are harmonic, the investigation of this domain, in a first approximation, is reduced to generalized eigenvalue problems, which are solved by the finite-element method. The problem on parametric vibrations of a three-layer conical shell under harmonic mechanical loading is considered. The influence of the shell thickness, dissipation, and electric boundary conditions on the MDDI is investigated. Two limiting cases of electric boundary conditions are considered, where the electrodes are short-circuited or not. The curves presented show a considerable influence of the electric boundary conditions on the characteristics of the MDDI, namely on its width and position on the frequency axis and on the critical parameter of excitation.  相似文献

In quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM), the background field removal is an essential data acquisition step because it has a significant effect on the restoration quality by generating a harmonic incompatibility in the measured local field data. Even though the sparsity based first generation harmonic incompatibility removal (1GHIRE) model has achieved the performance gain over the traditional approaches, the 1GHIRE model has to be further improved as there is a basis mismatch underlying in numerically solving Poisson’s equation for the background removal. In this paper, we propose the second generation harmonic incompatibility removal (2GHIRE) model to reduce a basis mismatch, inspired by the balanced approach in the tight frame based image restoration. Experimental results shows the superiority of the proposed 2GHIRE model both in the restoration qualities and the computational efficiency.  相似文献

The article presents output expressions of linkage mechanism in general mathematical form. The harmonic components of the mathematical expressions are analyzed by using the Fourier series theory. The relationship between the harmonic component and the harmonic characteristic parameters of coupler rotation-angle operator is discovered. Based on this relationship, a unified approach to establish the numerical atlas database is given. The unified derivation process of formula, which can compute the actual dimensions and installation parameters of linkage mechanism, is presented. The concepts of the coupler rotation-angle operator, the harmonic output characteristic parameters of dimensional type, the mechanism’s basic dimensional types and the harmonic dimension characteristic parameters of dimensional type are defined. Based on these definitions and the concrete steps of harmonic characteristic parameter method, the unified model is set up for the dimensional synthesis of linkage mechanism from planar, spherical to spatial motion.  相似文献

Covariant first and second quantizations of the freed=4 massless superparticle are implemented with the introduction of purely gauge auxiliary spinor Lorentz harmonics. It is shown that the general solution of the condition of masslessness is a sum of two independent chiral superfields with each of them corresponding to finite superspin. A translationally covariant, in general bijective correspondence between harmonic and massless superfields is constructed. By calculation of the commutation function it is shown that in the considered approach only harmonic fields with the correct connection between spin and statistics and with integer negative homogeneity index satisfy the microcausality condition. It is emphasized that the harmonic fields that arise are reducible at integer points. The index spinor technique is used to describe infinite-component fields of finite spin; the equations of motion of such fields are obtained, and for them Weinberg's theorem on the connection between massless helicity particles and the type of nongauge field that describes them is generalized.State University, Kharkov. This paper investigates positive harmonic functions on domains that are complementary to a subset of a cylindrical surface. It characterizes, both in terms of harmonic measure and of a Wiener-type criterion, those domains that admit minimal harmonic functions with exponential growth. Illustrative examples are provided. Two applications are also given. The first of these concerns minimal harmonic functions associated with an irregular boundary point, and amplifies a recent construction of Gardiner and Hansen. The second concerns the possible non-approximability of positive harmonic functions by integrable positive harmonic functions. We consider the problem of longitudinal deformation of an elastic semi-infinite strip under the action of various kinds of self-balanced harmonic loads. Using numerical analysis we show that in a region of relatively low frequencies, when only one propagating wave exists in the wave conductor, one can formulate an analog of Saint-Venant's principle. When this is done, the given frequency range decomposes into two subranges. In the first of these the main role in the Fourier series expansion of the load is played by the non-self-balanced component, while in the second it is necessary to take account of the first harmonic as well. An almost contact metric structure is parametrized by a section σ of an associated homogeneous fibre bundle, and conditions for σ to be a harmonic section, and a harmonic map, are studied. These involve the characteristic vector field ξ, and the almost complex structure in the contact subbundle. Several examples are given where the harmonic section equations for σ reduce to those for ξ, regarded as a section of the unit tangent bundle. These include trans-Sasakian structures. On the other hand, there are examples where ξ is harmonic but σ is not a harmonic section. Many examples arise by considering hypersurfaces of almost Hermitian manifolds, with the induced almost contact structure, and comparing the harmonic section equations for both structures.   相似文献

Green’s function for isotropic thermoelastic two-phase infinite plane under a line heat source is established in this paper. By virtue of the fourth compact general solutions in Part I which is expressed in three harmonic functions, six new suitable harmonic functions with undetermined constants are constructed for the two semi-infinite planes of the two-phase infinite plane, respectively. The corresponding thermoelastic field can be obtained by substituting these harmonic functions into the general solution, and the undetermined constants can be determined by compatibility conditions and the equilibrium conditions. Magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT) is a new technique to recover the conductivity of biologic tissue from the induced magnetic flux density. This paper proposes an inversion scheme for recovering the conductivity from one component of the magnetic field based on the nonlinear integral equation method. To apply magnetic fields corresponding to two incoherent injected currents, an alternative iteration scheme is proposed to update the conductivity. For each magnetic field, the regularizing technique on the finite dimensional space is applied to solve an ill-posed linear system. Compared with the well-developed harmonic Bz method, the advantage of this inversion scheme is its stability, since no differential operation is required on the noisy magnetic field. Numerical implementations are given to show the convergence of the iteration and its validity for noisy input data.  相似文献

The 3-dimensional Hopf vector field is shown to be a stable harmonic section of the unit tangent bundle. In contrast, higher dimensional Hopf vector fields are unstable harmonic sections; indeed, there is a natural variation through smooth unit vector fields which is locally energy-decreasing, and whose asymptotic limit is a singular vector field of finite energy. We consider nonlinear wave motions in thermally stratified Poiseuille flow. Attention is focused on short wavelength wave modes for which the neutral Reynolds number scales as the square of the wave number. The nonlinear evolution of a single monochromatic wave is governed by a first harmonic/mean-flow interaction theory in which the wave-induced mean flow is comparable in size to the wave component of the flow. An integrodifferential equation is derived which governs the normal variation of the wave amplitude. This equation admits finite-amplitude solutions which bifurcate supercritically from the linear neutral point(s).  相似文献

The vibrations of the stator core of a rotating electrical machine induce acoustic noise. These oscillations of the stator yoke are excited of the force density due to the magnetic field in the air gap. This requires a transient magnetic field analysis coupled with a dynamic mechanical analysis. Coupling these two different physical fields results in a high numerical effort and usually one direction of the interaction is disregarded. This paper presents a method to calculate the vibrations of a stator core under design operating conditions. For this purpose, harmonic electromagnetic excitation forces have been calculated in a linear magnetic field analyses using the finite element method. The resulting forces have been applied to a linear structural dynamic FE model in the frequency domain.
