First- and second-derivative spectrophoto-metric methods for the simultaneous determination of aluminium and iron in their mixtures are described. The methods are based on the colored complexes formed by aluminium and iron with hematoxylin in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a surfactant. The zero-crossing method has been utilized to measure the first- and second-derivative value of the derivative spectrum. Aluminium (0.05–1 gml-1) could be determined in the presence of iron (0.09–1.6 gml-1) and vice versa. The detection limits of aluminium and iron are 0.01 and 0.09 gml-1, respectively in the first-derivative mode and 0.014 and 0.1 gml-1 in the second-derivative mode. The proposed method has been applied to the simultaneous determination of aluminium and iron in glasses, phosphate rocks, cement and magnesite alloy.  相似文献

The methods are based on the colored complexes formed by calcium and magnesium with bromopyrogallol red in presence of Tween 80 as a surfactant. The zero-crossing method has been utilized to measure the first- and second-derivative value of the derivative spectrum. Calcium (0.8-4.8microgml(-1)) is determined in the presence of magnesium (0.5-3.5microgml(-1)) at the pH 10 and vice versa at zero-crossing wavelengths of 544.5 and 570nm in the first-derivative procedure and 574 and 531nm in the second-derivative procedure, respectively. The detection limits achieved were 0.0575microgml(-1) of calcium and 0.03microgml(-1) of magnesium. The relative standard deviations were in all instances less than 2%. The proposed method has been applied to the simultaneous determination of calcium and magnesium in different samples: commercial multivitamin, human serum and drinking water where excellent agreement between reported and obtained results was achieved.  相似文献

Spectrophotometric studies have been made to investigate the reaction of Nickel and Lead with 2-carboxy-2'-hydroxy-5'-sulfoformazyl-benzene (zincon) in 50%(v/v) ethanol-water at 25 degrees C and an ionic strength of 0.1 M NaClO4. A complete picture of the complexation equilibria in the pH range (4.2-12.0) for nickel and (1.9-11.5) for lead are presented. Simple, rapid, selective and sensitive methods for the spectro-photometric determination of nickel and lead has been developed based on the color reaction of their complexes with zincon. The methods allow the determination of 4.69 microg mL(-1) of nickel at pH = 6.3 (lambdamax = 665 nm) and 10.3 microg ml(-1) of lead at pH = 5.6 (lambdamax = 610 nm). The apparent molar absorptivities were epsilon = 1.3 x 10(4) L mol(-1) cm(-1) for nickel and epsilon = 0.6 x 10(4) L mol(-1) cm(-1) for lead. The interference of a large number of foreign ions and complexing agents has been studied. Thiosulphate, as masking agent allows the simultaneous determination of nickel and lead in the presence of high concentrations of copper. Ascorbic acid, sodium cyanide and or sodium fluoride provide the elimination of many other interferences. The methods have been applied successfully to the simultaneous determination of nickel and lead in an aluminium and non-ferrous alloy.  相似文献

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of iron(III) and molybdenum(VI) by first-derivative spectrophotometry based on the absorption spectra of their complexes with morin in the presence of a cationic surfactant. The zero-crossing measurement technique is found sutiable for the direct measurement of the first-derivative value at the specified wavelengths. Iron(III) (0.9-1.5 mug ml(-1)) and molybdenum(VI) (0.3-4.2 mug ml(-1)) in different ratios have been determined simultaneously. A critical evaluation of the proposed method is performed by statistical analysis of the experimental data. The method was applied to determine iron and molybdenum in different alloys.  相似文献

Two spectrophotometric methods are described for the simultaneous determination of binary mixtures of carbidopa and levodopa in pharmaceutical formulations, without prior separation steps, using the mean centering of ratio spectra and H-point standard addition methods (HPSAM). The methods are based on the difference in the absorption spectra for the products of the reaction of carbidopa and levodopa with 4-aminobenzoic acid in the presence of periodate ion at pH 4.0. The methods allow rapid and accurate determination of carbidopa and levodopa. The results showed that the methods were capable to simultaneous determination of 0.30-10.00 microg ml(-1) and 0.50-10.00 microg ml(-1) each of carbidopa and levodopa. The proposed methods were successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of carbidopa and levodopa in pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

A derivative spectrophotometric method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of microgram quantities of uranium and thorium with Arsenazo III in hydrochloric acid medium. The second-derivative absorbances of the uranium and thorium Arsenazo III complexes at 679.5 and 684.4 nm are used for their quantification. Uranium and thorium, both in the range 0.1-0.7 mug/ml have been determined simultaneously with good precision. The procedure does not require separation of uranium and thorium, and allows the determination of both metals in the presence of alkaline-earth metals and zirconium, but lanthanides interfere.  相似文献

A capillary electrophoresis coupling with indirect chemiluminescence detection method for the simultaneous determination of benserazide and levodopa has been developed. The detection interface was improved to simplify the capillary electrophoresis-chemiluminescence (CE-CL) system and the features of this improved interface were illustrated in this paper. The CE-CL conditions for the simultaneous determination of benserazide and levodopa were optimized. Under the optimal conditions, the CL intensity was linear with concentrations of levodopa in the range of 1.0 to 100.0 microg ml(-1), and benserazide in the range of 10.0 to 1,000 microg ml(-1), respectively. The detection limits (S/N=3) in turn were 1.85 microg ml(-1) for BS and 0.12 microg ml(-1) for L-dopa with relative standard deviations of less than 3%. The proposed method has been successfully applied to the determination of benserazide and levodopa in medopar tablets and spiked urine samples, demonstrating the feasibility and reliability of the proposed method.  相似文献

The solution properties of nickel complex with 4-(2'-benzo-thiazolylazo) salicylic acid (BTAS) have been studied by zero-order absorption spectrophotometry in 40% (v/v) ethanol at 20 degrees C and an ionic strength of 0.1 mol dm(-3) (KNO(3)). The equilibria that exist in solution were established and the basic characteristics of complexes formed were determined. A new direct spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of the nickel is proposed based on the formation of the Ni (BTAS) complex at pH 7.0. The absorption maximum, molar absorbtivity, and Sandell's sensitivity of 1:1 (M:L) complex are 525 nm, 0.6 x 10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1) and 2.824 x 10(-9) microg cm(-2), respectively. The use of first-derivative spectrophotometry eliminates the interference of iron and enables the simultaneous determination of nickel and iron using BTAS. Quantitative determination of Ni(II) and Fe(III) is possible in the range (0.59-7.08) and (2.1-8.4) microg ml(-1), respectively with a relative standard deviation of 0.5%. The proposed method has been successfully applied to the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of nickel and iron in steel alloys and aluminum alloys.  相似文献

A new method for direct spectrophotometric determination of cadmium with 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcinol is reported. Absorption maximum, molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity of the 1:1 (M:L) complex are 510 nm, 2.5 x 10(5) l mol(-1) cm(-1) and 3.55 ng cm(-2), respectively. A linear calibration graph is obtained up to 4.49 microg ml(-1). The zero-crossing measurement technique is found suitable for the direct measurement of the first-derivative value at the specified wavelengths. Cadmium(II) (0.42-9.2 microg ml(-1)) and mercury(II) (0.35-7.4 microg ml(-1)) in different ratios have been determined simultaneously. A critical evaluation of the proposed method is performed by statistical analysis of the experimental data. The developed method was applied to the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of Cd and Hg in some synthetic mixtures and was found to give satisfactory results.  相似文献

A highly selective and sensitive second-derivative spectrophotometric determination of iron is based on the extraction of the ferroin-perchlorate ion-association complex into mesityl oxide. A linear calibration graph is obtained for iron in the range 0.5-50 mug in 100 ml of original aqueous phase, with a detection limit of 2 ng/ml. The method is precise and reliable and has been applied to the determination of iron in high-purity rare-earth oxides.  相似文献

The reaction of aluminium(III) with Hydroxynaphtol Blue (HNB) in aqueous media at apparent pH 5.5 results in a red complex that is stable for at least 4 hr. Beer's Law is obeyed up to 1.6 microg/ml of aluminium(III) with an apparent molar absorptivity of 1.66 x 10(4) l.mol(-1). cm(-1) at 569 nm. This paper proposes procedures for aluminium(III) determination by ordinary and first-derivative spectrophotometry. The results demonstrated that the linear dynamic range is 0.03-1.60 microg/ml for ordinary spectrophotometry and 11.8-320.0 ng/ml for first derivative spectrophotometry. The HNB is not selectivity for aluminium, but the addition of EDTA allows the aluminium determination in the presence of accepted amounts of Ca(II), Mg(II), Mn(II), Ba(II), Sr(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), La(III), In(III), Bi(III) and Zn(II). The interference of Cu(II) and Hg(II) can be masked by thiosulphate. Ions such as UO(2)(II), Mo(VI), Co(II), Ti(IV) and PO(4)(III) do interfere seriously. This method was applied for aluminium determination in copper-base alloy, zinc-base alloy, magnesium-base alloy, iron ore, manganese ore, cement, dolomite, feldspar and limestone. A flow-injection method for the simultaneous determination of iron and zinc in the human hair with 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP) using a pH gradient technique has been developed. The linear range for the determination of iron is 0.1 approximately 1.8 mug ml(-1) and for zinc is 0.2 approximately 5.0 mug ml(-1). About 20 approximately 30 samples can be determined in 1 h. The proposed method is simple, rapid and accurate. It has been applied to the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of iron and zinc in the human hair with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A zero-crossing first-derivative spectrophotometric method is applied for the simultaneous determination of naphazoline hydrochloride and antazoline phosphate in eye drops. The measurements were carried out at wavelengths of 225 and 252 nm for naphazoline hydrochloride and antazoline phosphate, respectively. The method was found to be linear (r2>0.999) in the range of 0.2-1 microg/ml for naphazoline hydrochloride in the presence of 5 microg/ml antazoline phosphate at 225 nm. The same linear correlation (r2>0.999) was obtained in the range of 1-10 microg/ml of antazoline phosphate in the presence of 0.5 microg/ml of naphazoline hydrochloride at 252 nm. The limit of determination was 0.2 microg/ml and 1 microg/ml for naphazoline hydrochloride and antazoline phosphate, respectively. The method was successfully used for simultaneous analysis of naphazoline hydrochloride and antazoline phosphate in eye drops without any interference from excipients and prior separation before analysis.  相似文献

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of copper and nickel by third-derivative spectrophotometry based on the absorption spectra of their complexes with cyanide ion in the ultraviolet range. The method allows the determination of 0.55-5.8 mug/ml of copper and 0.55-6.8 mug/ml of nickel. The relative standard deviation for 11 determinations of 1.5 mul/ml of copper and nickel were 0.78 and 0.72%, respectively. The detection limits were 0.10,mug/ml for nickel and 0.13 mug/ml for copper. The method has been applied to direct determination of copper and nickel in iron alloys and an aluminium alloy without any separation.  相似文献

A rapid and simple analytical method has been established for the determination of methyl tert.-butyl ether (MTBE) and tert.-butyl alcohol (TBA), in seawater. The method involves purge-and-trap enrichment followed by gas chromatographic (GC) determination. Two different detection systems have been compared: atomic emission detection (AED) and MS (selected ion monitoring mode). Validation parameters and possible matrix effects have been evaluated. The linearity and analytical precision was good with both methods, but limits of detection reached by AED (10 microg l(-1)) were not low enough to evaluate current environmental concentrations. GC-MS detection presented much better sensitivity [limits of detection (LODs) of 0.04 microg l(-1) for MTBE and 0.09 microg l(-1) for TBA] and selectivity, providing a more reliable determination. The analysis of samples collected from various marinas in the south of Spain (Almería and Málaga) showed, in all cases, detectable concentrations of MTBE that ranged from below LOD to 1842 microg l(-1), depending on the sampling point and time. TBA was also detected in some cases, with concentration levels that ranged from 400 to 600 microg l(-1). These preliminary results should be followed by monitoring programs in coastal waters, in order to establish real levels of presence of MTBE in our coasts and its possible effect on the marine environment.  相似文献

A novel composite nanoparticle has been prepared by an in situ polymerization method and applied as a protein fluorescence probe. The nano-CdS has been prepared, then the polymerization of acrylic acid (AA) was carried out by initiator potassium persulfate (KPS) under ultrasonic irradiation. The surface of the composite nanoparticles was covered with abundant carboxylic groups (--COOH). The nanoparticles are water-soluble, stable, and biocompatible. The synchronous fluorescence intensity of the composite nanoparticles is significantly increased in the presence of trace protein at pH 6.90. Based on this, a new synchronous fluorescence scan (SFS) analysis was developed for the determination of proteins including BSA, HSA, and human gamma-IgG. When Delta lambda = 280 nm, maximum synchronous fluorescence is produced at 290 nm. Under the optimum conditions, the response is linearly proportional to the concentration of proteins. The linear range is 0.1-10 microg ml(-1) for HSA, 0.09-8.0 microg ml(-1) for BSA, and 0.08-15 microg ml(-1) for human gamma-IgG, respectively. The method has been applied to the determination of the total protein in human serum samples collected from the hospital and the results are satisfactory.  相似文献

The reaction of nickel (II) with Br-PADAP, in the presence of tergitol NPX surfactant, forms a complex with absorption peaks at 520 and 560 nm. The iron(II)-Br-PADAP system at the same conditions forms a chelate with absorption peaks at 560 and 748 nm. This allows the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of nickel and iron by measuring the absorbance at 560 and 748 nm. The proposed method, at ph 4.0-5.7, shows a molar absorptivity of 1.22 x 10(5)l . mole(-1) . cm(-1) for nickel at 560 nm and 8.20 x 10(4)l . mole(-1) . cm(-1) at 560 nm and 3.35 x 10(4)l . mole(-1) . cm(-1) at 748 nm for iron(II). Beer's law is obeyed up to 0.40 mu/ml of nickel(II) and up to 0.65 mu/ml of iron(II). Thiosulphate as masking agent allows the simultaneous determination of iron and nickel in the presence of high concentrations of copper. The ethylene glycol 2-(2-amino-ethyl) tetracetic acid provides the elimination of many other interferences. The method has been applied successfully to the simultaneous determination of nickel and iron in reference samples.  相似文献

在弱酸性介质中,在乳化剂OP存在下,铁、铜与PAN形成最大吸收均在550nm处的水溶性有色络合物,两者相互严重干扰。本文采用多波长回归分析法对此混合显色体系进行研究,选择在570~590nm区间,测定11个波长处的吸光度,使用简易程序计算器,进行数据回归处理,可简便快速地直接求出铁、铜的含量。应用于铝合金中铁、铜的同时测定,结果满意。  相似文献

The spectrophotometric determination of beryllium and aluminium with 5,8-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone in the presence of a non-ionic surfactant is reported. Absorption maxima, molar absorptivity and Sandell's Sensitivity of 1:2 (M:L) beryllium and aluminium complexes are, 585 nm and 598 nm, 1.63 x 10(4) l.mole(-1).cm(-1) and 2.04 x 10(4) l.mole(-1).cm(-1), and 0.55 ng/cm(2) and 1.32 ng/cm(2) respectively. Beer's law is obeyed between 7.20-3.96 x 10(2) ng/ml beryllium and 1.08 x 10(1)-1.08 x 10(3) ng/ml aluminium. A method for simultaneous determination of beryllium and aluminium in their mixture using derivative spectra is described. The range 3.6 x 10(1)-3.6 x 10(2) ng/ml beryllium could be determined in the presence of 1.08 x 10(2)-1.08 x 10(3) ng/ml aluminium, and vice versa.  相似文献
