CeFeAsO and superconducting CeFeAsO0.84F0.16. Two sharp dispersionless modes are found at 0.85 and 1.16 meV in CeFeAsO below the Ce antiferromagnetic (AF) ordering temperature
of T
N
Ce ˜ 4 K. On warming to above T
N
Ce ˜ 4 K, these two modes become one broad dispersionless mode that disappears just above the Fe ordering temperature T
N
Fe ˜ 140 K. For superconducting CeFeAsO0.84F0.16, where Fe static AF order is suppressed, we find a weakly dispersive mode center at 0.4 meV that may arise from short-range
Ce-Ce exchange interactions. Using a Heisenberg model, we simulate powder-averaged Ce spin wave excitations. Our results show
that we need both Ce spin wave and crystal electric field excitations to account for the whole spectra of low-energy spin

bands at 3.03 and 4.30 eV have been revealed. The channels of generation and decay of electronic excitations in KBBF crystals

We report the orange-to-blue and infrared-(IR)-to-blue wavelengths upconversion luminescence in Pr3+:BaY2F8 crystals. Mechanism of the orange light upconversion into blue 3P0 state emission was confirmed to be energy transfer between two Pr3+ ions in the 1D2 state. IR-to-blue upconversion has only been observed under two different color IR pumping. The first resonant step was the
3H4→1G4 ground state absorption transition, and the second resonant transition was the excited state absorption from the 1G4 to 1I6 and 3PJ levels. A comparison of the efficiency of the IR-to-blue upconversion in several praseodymium activated host is presented
and discussed. A model of the IR pumped upconversion praseodymium blue laser is presented and the population inversion conditions

A cluster problem is analyzed as an example demonstrating that the observed three-mode behavior of spin-triplet excitations in YbB12 can be described by the asymmetric Anderson model with insulating singlet ground state. In the case of an infinite system, it is argued that the behavior of the f subsystem can be analyzed by using an effective Hamiltonian ? J with direct antiferromagnetic f-f exchange interaction. The spin excitation spectrum is shown to have a minimum at the antiferromagnetic vector, as observed experimentally. A distinctive feature of the analysis is the use of singlet and triplet basis operators. 相似文献

This paper reports on the results of measurements of the magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, neutron scattering, muon spin relaxation, and electron paramagnetic resonance in Cu3B2O6 for the study of the ground state of the spin system of this compound. The results obtained suggest that, at a temperature of 10 K, the spin subsystem of the crystal, which consists of single spins and clusters of pairs and fours of spins interacting with one another, undergoes a transition to a state representing a superposition of the singlet (for clusters) and magnetically ordered (for single spins) states. 相似文献

The effect of ultrarapid quenching from the melt and severe plastic torsional deformation under high pressure on the crystalline structure and the electrical, optical, and magnetic properties of a Ni2.16Mn0.84Ga alloy was studied. The electrical properties are discussed in terms of the Mott two-band model. The peculiarities of the magnetic properties are associated with the magnetism of itinerant electrons. The optical properties correlate with the variations in the electronic spectrum upon disordering of the alloy that follow from the results of the available energy-band-structure calculations. 相似文献

We investigate the Josephson effect in SFXSF junctions, where SF is a superconducting material with a ferromagnetic exchange field, and X is a weak link. The critical current Ic increases with the (antiparallel) exchange fields, if the distribution of transmission eigenvalues of the X layer has its maximum weight at small values. This exchange-field enhancement of the supercurrent does not exist if X is a diffusive normal metal. At low temperatures, there is a correspondence between the critical current in an SFISF junction with collinear orientations of the two exchange fields, and the AC supercurrent amplitude in an SIS tunnel junction. The difference in the exchange fields h1-h2 in an SFISF junction corresponds to the potential difference V1-V2 in an SIS junction; i.e., the singularity in Ic [in an SFISF junction] at |h1-h2|=Δ1+Δ2 is the analogue of the Riedel peak. We also discuss the AC Josephson effect in SFISF junctions. 相似文献

Comparative analysis of the IR absorption and Raman scattering spectra of a polycrystalline sample of perovskite-type oxyfluoride (NH4)3WO3F3 has been performed in the frequency range 370–4000 cm?1 at temperatures from 92 to 303 K, including the transition between the orientationally disordered cubic and low-symmetry phases. The conformation of WO3F3 octahedral groups is established and transitional anomalies of the internal modes of these groups and ammonium ions are revealed. Comparative analysis of the IR and Raman spectra suggests that the phase transition under study is mainly related to the ordering of octahedral groups and formation of W-O…H-N hydrogen bonds. 相似文献

A time-resolved cathodo-and photoluminescence study of nanostructural modifications of Al2O3 (powders and ceramics) excited by heavy-current electron beams, as well as by pulsed synchrotron radiation, is reported. It was found that Al2O3 nanopowders probed before and after Fe+ ion irradiation have the same phase composition (the γ-phase/δ-phase ratio is equal to 1), an average grain size equal to ~17 nm, and practically the same set of broad cathodoluminescence (CL) bands peaking at 2.4, 3.2, and 3.8 eV. It was established that Al2O3 nanopowders exhibit fast photoluminescence (PL) (a band at 3.2 eV), whose decay kinetics is described by two exponential stages (τ1 = 0.5 ns, τ2 = 5.5 ns). Three bands, at 5.24, 6.13, and 7.44 eV, were isolated in the excitation spectrum of the fast PL. Two alternate models of PL centers were considered, according to which the 3.2-eV luminescence either originates from radiative relaxation of the P? centers (anion-cation vacancy pairs) or is due to the formation of surface analogs of the F+ center (F S + -type centers). In addition to the fast luminescence, nano-Al2O3 was found to produce slow luminescence in the form of a broad band peaking at 3.5 eV. The excitation spectrum of the 3.5-eV luminescence obtained at T = 13 K exhibits two doublet bands with maxima at 7.8 and 8.3 eV. An analysis of the luminescent properties of nanostructural and single-crystal Al2O3 suggests that the slow luminescence of nanopowders at 3.5 eV is due to radiative annihilation of excitons localized near structural defects. 相似文献

We report on the generation of mode-locking pulse trains with high average output powers from diode-pumped Tm-Ho:LiYF4 and Tm-Ho:BaY2F8 lasers emitting at around 2 μm. The highest output power of 365 mW was obtained with the Tm-Ho:YLF4 laser, whereas the shortest pulse duration of 120 ps and the widest tunability range of 59 nm was achieved with the Tm-Ho:BaY2F8 laser.

The frequency (ν = 10?1–107 Hz) dependences σ(ν) of the conductivity of single crystals of the Pb0.67Cd0.33F2 superionic conductor with the fluorite-type structure (CaF2) in the temperature range of 132–395 K have been studied. The dependences σ(ν) have been discussed in the framework of the hopping relaxation of ionic carriers, which are mobile anions F?. From experimental curves σ(ν), the direct-current (dc) conductivity σdc and the average charge carrier hopping frequency νh have been determined. This has made it possible to calculate the charge carrier mobility μmob and charge carrier concentration n mob in these crystals. At room temperature (293 K), the electrical parameters are σdc = 1.6 × 10?4 S/cm, νh = 2.7 × 107 Hz, μmob = 2.0 × 10?7 cm2/(s V), and n mob = 5.1 × 1021 cm?3. 相似文献

The structures of two phases of the (NH4)3Nb(O2)2F4 crystal, namely, the parent cubic phase and the most distorted low-temperature phase, have been determined from data of an
X-ray diffraction experiment performed for a powder sample. The profile and structural parameters have been refined according
to the procedure implemented in the DDM program. The results obtained have been discussed with invoking the group-theoretical
analysis of the complete order parameter condensate, which takes into account the critical and noncritical atomic displacements

A theoretical analysis of small-angle neutron scattering is performed for the Fe65Ni35 alloy at a temperature T=0.9T C =450 K. The results obtained indicate the existence of long-wavelength magnetic excitations that do not correspond to spin waves of the Holstein-Primakoff type. Polarization-optical study of twinning and measurements of the Raman spectra and birefringence in oxyfluoride (NH4)3Ti(O2)F5 were carried out over the temperature range 90–350 K. Phase transitions were detected at temperatures T 01 = 266 K (second-order transition) and T 02 = 225 K (first order). It is assumed that the crystal symmetry is changed as follows: Fm3m ? I4/mmm ? I4/m. Anomalies of the spectral parameters are established in the frequency range of internal vibrations of ammonium ions and Ti(O2)F5 complexes. An analysis of the results shows that the transition at T 01 is likely due to small shifts of the tetrahedral groups from their position on the triad axis and that the transition at T 02 is due to fluorine-oxygen ordering of Ti(O2)F5 complexes. 相似文献

Vacuum ultraviolet luminescence of Er3+ ions in LiYF4 and BaY2F8 crystals has been investigated. It is revealed that under excitation by 193 nm radiation from an ArF excimer laser the interconfigurational 5d–4f radiative transitions in Er3+ ions are observed. It is shown that from the LiYF4:Er crystal only the spin-forbidden luminescence (λ = 165 nm) is detected, whereas both the spin-forbidden (λ = 169 nm) and spin-allowed (λ = 160.5 nm) components are observed from the BaY2F8:Er crystal. 相似文献
