The solubility of quercetin and its thermal degradation was studied in CO2-expanded ethanol and ethyl lactate. An equipment setup was constructed that enabled the separation of the products of degradation while quantifying the solubility of quercetin. Three different conditions of temperature were analyzed (308, 323, and 343 K) at 10 MPa. Higher solubility and thermal degradation of quercetin were observed for CO2-expanded ethyl lactate in comparison with CO2-expanded ethanol. At the same time, as the amount of CO2 was increased in the CO2-expanded liquids mixtures, the thermal degradation of quercetin decreased for almost all the conditions of temperature considered in this work. The importance of considering thermal degradation while performing solubility measurements of compounds that are thermally unstable such as quercetin was highlighted.  相似文献

The diffusion coefficient of water D w in aqueous solutions of the alkali metal bromides, tetraalkylammonium bromides (methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, and n-butyl) and ammonium bromide at 25°C is reported for concentrations up to 2 mol-dm–3. In addition, values for D w in 2 mol-dm–3 solutions of CsBr, KBr, NaBr, LiBr, and fully deuterated methanol, acetonitrile, and acetone have been measured for temperatures in the range 5 to 50°C. The concentration dependence of the relative water diffusion coefficient D w /D o , where D o is the self-diffusion coefficient of water, has been analyzed in terms of an equation analogous to the Jones-Dole equation for relative viscosity. The B-coefficient for diffusion is well correlated with the viscosity B-coefficient. For the structure-breaking electrolytes CsBr and KBr, D w /D o decreases rapidly with increasing temperature, whereas for the structure-makers NaBr and LiBr, the temperature dependence of D w /D o has the same sign but is much smaller in magnitude. For the nonelectrolyte solutions, the structure-making effect decreases with increasing temperature and the temperature coefficient of D w /D o is positive. It is apparent that, when diffusion of the solvent is being considered, the temperature must be taken into account in the classification of an electrolyte as a structure-breaker or structure-maker.  相似文献

DSC measurements were carried out for [Ni(H2O)6](ClO4)2 (sampleH) and [Ni(D2O)6](ClO4)2 (sampleD) in the temperature range 300–380 K. For both compounds two anomalies on the DSC curves were detected. The results for sampleH are compared to those previously obtained using adiabatic calorimetry method. For both compounds studied in this work the high-temperature transition appears at the same temperature while the low-temperature one is shifted towards higher temperatures in sampleD. Disorder connected with H2O or D2O groups is suggested in the intermediate phase between the low- and high-temperature transitions.  相似文献

Low-temperature heat capacities of the solid compound NaCuAsO4·1.5H2O(s)were measured using a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter over a temperature range of T=78 K to T=390 K.A dehydration process occurred in the temperature range of T=368-374 K.The peak temperature of the dehydration was observed to be TD=(371.828±0.146)K by means of the heat-capacity measurement. The molar enthalpy and entropy of the dehydration were ΔDHm=(18.571±0.142)kJ/mol and ΔDSm=(49.946±0.415)J/(K·mol),respectively.The experimental values of heat capacities for the solid(Ⅰ)and the solid-liquid mixture(Ⅱ)were respectively fitted to two polynomial equations by the least square method. The smoothed values of the molar heat capacities and the fundamental thermodynamic functions of the sample relative to the standard reference temperature 298.15 K were tabulated at an interval of 5 K.  相似文献

We have obtained pKa values of p-nitrophenol–TiO2 by measuring the adsorption equilibrium constants of p-nitrophenol (PNP) on the TiO2 surface at different pH values. These values have been obtained from Langmuir isotherms and from a plot of 1/rate vs. 1/[PNP]o obtained during TiO2 catalyzed solar light photo-degradation of PNP. Two limit equilibrium constants are readily obtained depending on the solution pH: at pH 5 at which the TiO2 surface is mainly positively charged and at pH 8 when it is negatively charged. With these and other adsorption equilibrium constants and the PNP pKa value in solution, thermodynamic cycles are established in order to obtain the PNP pKa when it is adsorbed on positively charged, neutral and negatively charged TiO2 surfaces. From these pKa values useful information on the PNP–TiO2 interaction is readily obtained. For instance, the PNP nitro group interacts with the TiO2 surface via a hydrogen bond, arising from the complex of water molecules with the Ti4+ ions on its surface. The weaker the hydrogen bond donor, the stronger the oxygen nitro group basicity. Therefore, pKa changes on the phenolic hydroxyl group result from these interactions. Linear free energy correlations, maximum PNP adsorption capacity values (QL) and FTIR ATR, spectrum support this proposal. A kobs vs. pH degradation profile of p-nitrophenol is also provided.  相似文献

The degradation process of TEOS-PDMS Ormosils containing different amounts of γ -APS has been studied by means of DTA, TG, FTIR and 29Si-NMR measurements. It has been found that the amount of γ -APS improved the thermal properties of Ormosil materials. The increase in γ -APS content causes the increment on the decomposition temperatures and activation energies of the studied Ormosils. These results have been attributed to the favourable effect of γ -APS in the copolymerisation reaction between TEOS and PDMS molecules. 29Si-NMR analyses have shown that the incorporation of γ -APS increases the concentration of D(Q) units in the Ormosil structure, i.e., increases the number of TEOS molecules bonded to PDMS ones. Initial decomposition temperature (IDT), temperature of maximum weight loss rate (Tmax), integral procedure decomposition temperature (IPDT) and activation energy values (E) were calculated from different equations which described the degradation of these materials. Addition of 10 wt% γ -APS produced an increase of 63C in the IDT and of 115 and 110C, respectively, for Tmax and IPDT (up to 478 and 610C) compared to the free γ -APS Ormosil. Activation energy values also rise up to 69.4 kJ⋅ mol−1 by introducing 10 wt% of γ -APS.  相似文献

The thermodynamics of the interaction of L-glutamic-N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA) with protons was studied potentiometrically at different temperatures, ionic strengths and ionic media. Four protonation constants and corresponding enthalpy changes occurred at infinite dilution together with temperature and ionic strength coefficients. The medium effect was also interpreted in terms of the formation of weak complexes between the ligand and the cations of supporting electrolytes, resulting in a greater tendency of GLDA to chemically interact with Na+ rather than K+ and, in turn, (CH3)4N+. Formation constants of GLDA with Cd2+ were determined in NaCl(aq) at different ionic strength values. Five complex species were found, namely CdL2−, CdHL, CdH2L0(aq), Cd2L0(aq), and Cd(OH)L3−, whose formation constant values at infinite dilution were log β = 12.68, 17.61, 20.76, 17.52, and 1.77, respectively. All the species results were relevant in the pH range of natural waters, although the Cd2L0(aq) was observed only for CCdCGLDA and concentrations of >0.1 mmol dm−3. The sequestering ability of GLDA toward Cd2+, evaluated by means of pL0.5, was maximum at pH~10, whereas the presence of a chloride containing a supporting electrolyte exerted a negative effect. Among new generation biodegradable ligands, GLDA was the most efficient in Cd2+ sequestration.  相似文献

The ice/water interface is a common and important part of many biological, environmental, and technological systems. In contrast to its importance, the system has not been extensively studied and is not well understood. Therefore, in this paper the properties of the H2O ice/water and D2O ice/water interfaces were investigated. Although the zeta potential vs pH data points were significantly scattered, it was determined that the isoelectric point (iep) of D2O ice particles in water at 3.5°C containing 10−3 M NaCl occurs at about pH 3.0. The negative values of the zeta potential, calculated from the electrophoretic mobility, seem to decrease with decreasing content of NaCl, while the iep shifts to a higher pH. The point of zero charge (pzc) of D2O ice and H2O ice, determined by changes in pH of 10−4 M NaCl aqueous solution at 0.5°C after the ice particle addition, was found to be very different from the iep and equal to pH 7.0 ± 0.5. The shift of the iep with NaCl concentration and the difference in the positions of the iep and pzc on the pH scale point to complex specific adsorption of ions at the interface. Interestingly, similar values of iep and pzc were found for very different systems, such as hydrophilic ice and highly hydrophobic hexadecane droplets in water. A comparison of the zeta potential vs pH curves for hydrophilic ice and hydrophobic materials that do not possess dissociative functional groups at the interface (diamond, air bubbles, bacteria, and hexadecane) indicated that all of them have an iep near pH 3.5. These results indicate that the zeta potential and surface charge data alone cannot be used to delineate the electrochemical properties of a given water/moiety interface because similar electrical properties do not necessary mean a similar structure of the interfacial region. A good example is the aliphatic hydrocarbon/water interface in comparison to the ice/water interface. Although the experiments were carried out with care, both the zeta potential, measured with a precise ZetaPlus meter, and ΔpH values (a measure of surface charge) vs pH were significantly scattered, and the origin of dissemination of the data points was not established. Differently charged ice particles and not fully equilibrium conditions at the ice/water interface may have been responsible for the dissemination of the data.  相似文献

Ti(C,N)-reinforced alumina-zirconia composites with different ratios of C to N in titanium carbonitride solid solutions, such as Ti(C0.3,N0.7) (C:N = 30:70) and Ti(C0.5,N0.5) (C:N = 50:50), were tested to improve their mechanical properties. Spark plasma sintering (SPS) with temperatures ranging from 1600 °C to 1675 °C and pressureless sintering (PS) with a higher temperature of 1720 °C were used to compare results. The following mechanical and physical properties were determined: Vickers hardness, Young’s modulus, apparent density, wear resistance, and fracture toughness. A composite with the addition of Ti(C0.5,N0.5)n nanopowder exhibited the highest Vickers hardness of over 19.0 GPa, and its fracture toughness was at 5.0 Mpa·m1/2. A composite with the Ti(C0.3,N0.7) phase was found to have lower values of Vickers hardness (by about 10%), friction coefficient, and specific wear rate of disc (Wsd) compared to the composite with the addition of Ti(C0.5,N0.5). The Vickers hardness values slightly decreased (from 5% to 10%) with increasing sintering temperature. The mechanical properties of the samples sintered using PS were lower than those of the samples that were spark plasma sintered. This research on alumina–zirconia composites with different ratios of C to N in titanium carbonitride solid solution Ti(C,N), sintered using an unconventional SPS method, reveals the effect of C/N ratios on improving mechanical properties of tested composites. X-ray analysis of the phase composition and an observation of the microstructure was carried out.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to address uncertainties in the solubility product of (UO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(c) and in the phosphate complexes of U(VI), and more importantly to develop needed thermodynamic data for the Pu(VI)-phosphate system in order to ascertain the extent to which U(VI) and Pu(VI) behave in an analogous fashion. Thus studies were conducted on (UO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(c) and (PuO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(am) solubilities for long-equilibration periods (up to 870 days) in a wide range of pH values (2.5 to 10.5) at fixed phosphate concentrations of 0.001 and 0.01 M, and in a range of phosphate concentrations (0.0001–1.0 M) at fixed pH values of about 3.5. A combination of techniques (XRD, DTA/TG, XAS, and thermodynamic analyses) was used to characterize the reaction products. The U(VI)-phosphate data for the most part agree closely with thermodynamic data presented in Guillaumont et al.,(1) although we cannot verify the existence of several U(VI) hydrolyses and phosphate species and we find the reported value for formation constant of UO2PO4 is in error by more than two orders of magnitude. A comprehensive thermodynamic model for (PuO2)3(PO4)2⋅4H2O(am) solubility in the H+-Na+-OH-Cl-H2PO4-HPO2−4-PO3−4-H2O system, previously unavailable, is presented and the data shows that the U(VI)-phosphate system is an excellent analog for the Pu(VI)-phosphate system.  相似文献

Ionic liquids, which are extensively known as low-melting-point salts, have received significant attention as the promising solvent for CO2 capture. This work presents the synthesis, thermophysical properties and the CO2 absorption of a series of ammonium cations coupled with carboxylate anions producing ammonium-based protic ionic liquids (PILs), namely 2-ethylhexylammonium pentanoate ([EHA][C5]), 2-ethylhexylammonium hexanoate ([EHA][C6]), 2-ethylhexylammonium heptanoate ([EHA][C7]), bis-(2-ethylhexyl)ammonium pentanoate ([BEHA][C5]), bis-(2-ethylhexyl)ammonium hexanoate ([BEHA][C6]) and bis-(2-ethylhexyl)ammonium heptanoate ([BEHA][C7]). The chemical structures of the PILs were confirmed by using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy while the density (ρ) and the dynamic viscosity (η) of the PILs were determined and analyzed in a range from 293.15K up to 363.15K. The refractive index (nD) was also measured at T = (293.15 to 333.15) K. Thermal analyses conducted via a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) indicated that all PILs have the thermal decomposition temperature, Td of greater than 416K and the presence of glass transition, Tg was detected in each PIL. The CO2 absorption of the PILs was studied up to 29 bar at 298.15 K and the experimental results showed that [BEHA][C7] had the highest CO2 absorption with 0.78 mol at 29 bar. The CO2 absorption values increase in the order of [C5] < [C6] < [C7] anion regardless of the nature of the cation.  相似文献

The chemical stability of diphenhydramine (DIPH), azelastine (AZE) and bepotastine (BEPO) was examined in solutions and solids. The drugs were subjected to high temperature (70 °C for 35 h) or UV/VIS light (18.902–94.510 kJ/m2) at pH 1–13, to examine their percentage degradation and kinetics of degradation. Further, the stability of solid DIPH, AZE and BEPO was examined in the presence of excipients of different reactivity, i.e., citric acid (CA) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) under high temperature/high humidity (70 °C/80% RH) or UV/VIS light (94.510 kJ/m2). Under high temperature, DIPH degraded visibly (>19%) at pH 1 and 4, AZE was shown stable, while the degradation of BEPO was rather high (>17%) in all pH conditions. Under UV/VIS irradiation all the drugs were shown labile with degradation in the range 5.5–96.3%. As far as the solid mixtures were concerned, all drugs interacted with excipients, especially under high temperature/high humidity or UV/VIS light. As a result, DIPH, AZE and BEPO were compared in terms of their stability, with regard to their different structures and acid/base properties. All these results may be helpful for manufacturing, storing and applying these drugs in their topical (skin, nasal and ocular), oral and injectable formulations.  相似文献

Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) demonstrate great micropollutant degradation efficiency. In this study, CuFe2O4 was successfully used to activate peracetic acid (PAA) to remove Rhodamine B. Acetyl(per)oxyl radicals were the dominant species in this novel system. The addition of 2,4-hexadiene (2,4-HD) and Methanol (MeOH) significantly inhibited the degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B. The ≡Cu2+/≡Cu+ redox cycle dominated PAA activation, thereby producing organic radicals (R-O˙) including CH3C(O)O˙ and CH3C(O)OO˙, which accounted for the degradation of Rhodamine B. Increasing either the concentration of CuFe2O4 (0–100 mg/L) or PAA (10–100 mg/L) promoted the removal efficiency of this potent system. In addition, weakly acid to weakly alkali pH conditions (6–8) were suitable for pollutant removal. The addition of Humid acid (HA), HCO3, and a small amount of Cl (10–100 mmol·L−1) slightly inhibited the degradation of Rhodamine B. However, degradation was accelerated by the inclusion of high concentrations (200 mmol·L−1) of Cl. After four iterations of catalyst recycling, the degradation efficiency remained stable and no additional functional group characteristic peaks were observed. Taking into consideration the reaction conditions, interfering substances, system stability, and pollutant-removal efficiency, the CuFe2O4/PAA system demonstrated great potential for the degradation of Rhodamine B.  相似文献

Adsorbents synthesized by grafting of titania onto mesoporous silica gel surfaces at different temperatures were studied by means of nitrogen adsorption–desorption and water desorption. The pore size distribution f(Rp) of titania/silica gel depends on the titania concentration (CTiO2) and the temperature of titania synthesis. Nonuniformity of TiO2 phase is maximal at a low CTiO2 value (3.2 wt.% anatase deposited at 473 K), and two peaks of the fractal dimension distribution f(D) are observed at such a concentration of titania, but at larger CTiO2 values, only one f(D) peak is seen. More ordered filling of pores and adsorption sites by nitrogen, reflecting in the shape of adsorption energy distributions f(E) at different pressures of adsorbate, is observed for adsorbent with titania (rutile+anatase) grafted on silica gel at a higher temperature (673 K).  相似文献

Photocatalytic degradation of propiconazole, a triazole pesticide, in the presence of titanium dioxide (TiO2) under ultraviolet (UV) illumination was performed in a batch type photocatalytic reactor. A full factorial experimental design technique was used to study the main effects and the interaction effects between operational parameters in the photocatalytic degradation of propiconazole in a batch photo-reactor using the TiO2 aqueous suspension. The effects of catalyst concentration (0.15–0.4 gL?1), initial pH (3–9), initial concentration (5–35 mg L?1) and light conditions were optimised at a reaction time duration of 90 min by keeping area/volume ratio constant at 0.919 cm2 mL?1. Photocatalytic oxidation of propiconazole showed 85% degradation and 76.57% mineralisation under UV light (365 nm/30 Wm?2) at pH 6.5, initial concentration 25 mg L?1 and constant temperature (25 ± 1 °C). The Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model has successfully elucidated the effects of the initial concentration on the degradation of propiconazole and the data obtained are consistent with the available kinetic parameters. The photocatalytic transformation products of propiconazole were identified by using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The pathway of degradation obtained from mass spectral analysis shows the breakdown of transformation products into smaller hydrocarbons (m/z 28 and 39).  相似文献

Dissociation energies (ED) of different components of repeating units of heteropolymers (HPs) have been calculated by the semiempirical PM-3 method. Comparison of ED values of heterocycles (HCs) and of single bonds contained in phenyl-substituted benzoheterocycles have shown that for polybenzazoles and HPs with carbonyl-containing HCs the initial degradation in the absence of weak links (uncyclized units, structural defects, etc.) preferably starts with HC homolytic decomposition. For these two groups of HCs the relationship between the ED of HCs and the initial degradation temperature of corresponding HPs is, on the whole, similar to the one found upon calculation of benzoheterocycles. In HPs based on quinoline and quinoxaline the single bond between HC and phenyl (Ph) group is less stable than the HC, and the breaking of that single bond can accompany the initial HP degradation. An analysis of relative stabilities of X-Ph bonds of Ph-X-Ph fragments of HPs with X = O, S, CH2, CO and of the relationship between their stabilities and those of other fragments of the HP repeating unit has been performed by using both calculated ED values and those obtained from thermochemical data. ED values for Ph-X-Ph decompositions turned out to be close to those for some HCs.  相似文献

The isothermal degradation of three aromatic polyetherketones was studied in an inert environment at various temperatures in the range 683-803 K. In the first degradation stage (mass loss D£20%) a linear increase of D as a function of heating time (t) was observed and the corresponding kinetic D=D o+bt equations at various temperatures were directly drawn by smoothing the experimental TG data. The b values, which represent the mass loss rates during degradation, increased as a function of temperature according to Arrhenius-type equations, from which degradation E a values were determined, which appear in agreement with those from literature methods. Some differences observed were discussed and interpreted. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

We have studied the thermal behaviour under atmospheric pressure of isotypic tetrahydrate cyclotriphosphates MII(NH4)4(P3O9)2x4H2O (M II=Cu, Ni and Co), between 25 and 1400°C, by X-ray diffraction, thermal analyses (TG and DTA) and infrared spectrometry. This study shows that the series of the compounds MII(NH4)4(P3O9)2x4H2O (M II=Cu, Ni and Co) after elimination of water, in two different stages, and ammonia leads, at 400°C to cyclotetraphosphate M2 IIP4O12 crystallized and to a thermal residue with a formula H4P4O12 which undergoes under a thermal degradation by evolving water and pentoxide phosphorus. The kinetic characteristics of the dehydration and elimination of ammonia have been determinated. The vibrational spectra of Cu(NH4)4(P3O9)2x4H2O were examined and interpreted, in the domain of the valency frequencies, on the basis of the crystalline structure of its isotypic compound Co(NH4)4(P3O9)2x4H2O whose cycle has the site symmetry C1, of our results of the calculation of the IR frequencies and the successive isotopic substitutions of the equivalent atoms (3P, 3Oi and 6Oe belonging to the P3Oi3Oe6 ring) of the P3O9 3− cycle with high symmetry D3h. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The thermodynamic stability of a cytosine(C)-rich i-motif tract of DNA, which features pH-sensitive [C..H..C]+ moieties, has been studied as function of both pressure (0.1–200 MPa) and pH (3.7–6.2). Careful attention was paid to correcting citrate buffer pH for known variations that stem from changes in pressure. Once pH-corrected, (i) at pH >4.6 the i-motif becomes less stable as pressure is increased (KD decreases), giving a small negative volume change for dissociation (ΔD) of the i-motif – a conclusion opposite to that which would be drawn if the buffer pH was not corrected for the effects of pressure; (ii) the i-motif's melting temperature increases by more than 30 K between pH 6.5 and 4.5, the consequence of an enthalpy for dissociation (ΔDH°) of 77(3) and 90(3) kJ (mol H+)−1 at 0.1 and 200 MPa, respectively; (iii) below pH 4.6 at 0.1 MPa (pH 4.3 at 200 MPa) the melting temperature decreases as a result of double protonation of cytosine pairs, and ΔDH° and ΔDV° change signs; and (iv) the combination of ΔDH° and ΔDV° lead to the melting temperature at pH 4.3 being 3 K higher at 200 MPa than at 0.1 MPa.  相似文献

Mg0.95Ni0.05TiO3 ceramics were prepared by traditional solid-state route using sintering temperatures between 1300 and 1425 °C and holding time of 2–8 h. The sintered samples were characterized for their phase composition, micro-crystalline structure, unit–cell constant, and dielectric properties. A two-phase combination region was identified over the entire compositional range. The effect of sintering conditions was analyzed for various properties. Both permittivity (εr) and Q factor (Qf) were sensitive to sintering temperatures and holding times, and the optimum performance was found at 1350 °C withholding time of 4 h. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) in a range from −45.2 to −52 (ppm/°C) and unit–cell constant were not sensitive to both the sintering temperature and holding time. An optimized Q factor of 192,000 (GHz) related with a permittivity (εr) of 17.35 and a temperature coefficient (τf) of −47 (ppm/°C) was realized for the specimen sintered at 1350 °C withholding time of 4 h. For applications of 5G communication device (filter, antennas, etc.), Mg0.95Ni0.05TiO3 is considered to be a suitable candidate for substrate materials.  相似文献
