The semi-empirical configuration interaction treatment due to Pariser and Parr and to Pople has been modified by reducing the set of electronic interaction integrals to 11 and 12 and by limiting the number of configurations to 10. Hückel MOs are used as basis functions. The dependence of the resonance integral v on the interatomic distance R v is simulated by making v a quadratic function of the Hückel bond orders P v .
Zusammenfassung Eine Modifikation des semiempirischen CI-Verfahrens von Pariser, Parr und Pople wurde zur Behandlung von -Systemen herangezogen. Als Vereinfachung wurde der Grad der CI-Matrix auf zehn beschränkt und von den Elektronenwechselwirkungsintegralen nur 11 und 12 berücksichtigt. Hückel-MOs wurden als Basisfunktionen verwendet. Die Abhängigkeit des Resonanzintegrals v vom interatomaren Abstand R v wurde durch den Ansatz von v als quadratische Funktion der Hückel-Bindungsordnung P v angenähert.

Résumé Le procédé semi-empirique de l'interaction de configuration selon Pariser, Parr et Pople a été modifié en réduisant l'ensemble des intégrales d'interaction électronique à 11 et limitant le nombre des configurations à 10. Les fonctions de base sont des orbitales moléculaires selon Hueckel. La dépendance entre l'intégrale de résonance v et la distance interatomique R v est simulée en posant que v est une fonction quadratique des ordres de liaisons P v selon Hückel.

Roots of Tragacantha stipulosa Boriss yielded three triterpene glycosides of the cycloartane series: askendoside G (1), askendoside D (2), and cycloglobiceposide B (3). Summary The identification of small amounts of sugars by their X-ray powder diagrams is suggested as a most simple and practical method in routine analysis.It is especially valuable in working with minute amounts of material, and has proved very useful for the final identification of chromatographically-separated sugars.The characteristics of the powder diagrams of a number of monosaccharides of special interest to the physiological chemist are reported in detail. The substances thus investigated are- and-D-glucose and-glucose monohydrate,- and-D-galactose,- and-D-mannose,D-fructose,D-glucuronolactone,- and-D-glucosamine hydrochloride,- and-D-galactosamine (chondrosamine) hydrochloride,-L-fucose, andD-ribose. For various reasons arabinose, lyxose, and xylose have also been included.It is clear from the powder diagrams of the galactoses that the crystalstructure earlier ascribed to-galactose is that of-galactose.A single-crystal study of-glucosamine hydrochloride was carried out by theWeissenberg technique. The crystal-dimensions obtained agree with those earlier found byCox et al5, 7.The optical rotation of chondrosamine hydrochloride was found to be [] D 20° = - 135° - 93° - 39°, the first value being considerably higher than that given for the-form byLevene. A method for the preparation of-mannose is described.
Zusammenfassung Die Identifizierung kleiner Mengen verschiedener Zuckerarten mit Hilfe ihrer Röntgen-Pulverdiagramme wird als einfache und praktische Routinemethode vorgeschlagen.Diese Methode ist besonders wertvoll, wenn nur kleine Substanzmengen zur Verfügung stehen, und hat sich für die endgültige Identifizierung von chromatographisch getrennten Zuckern als sehr geeignet erwiesen.Die Einzelheiten der Pulverdiagramme folgender physiologisch-chemisch bedeutungsvoller Monosaccharide werden mitgeteilt:- und-D-Glukose und Glukosehydrat,- und-D-Galaktose,- und-D-Mannose,D-Fruktose,D-Glukuronolakton,- und-D-Glukosaminhydrochlorid,- und-D-Galaktosamin-(Chondrosamin)-hydrochlorid,-L-Fukose, dieD-Pentosen Arabinose, Lyxose, Ribose und Xylose.Aus den Pulverdiagrammen der Galaktosen geht deutlich hervor, daß die Krystallstruktur, die früher der-Galaktose zugeschrieben wurde, tatsächlich diejenige der-Form ist.Die Untersuchung eines Einzelkristalles von-Glukosaminhydrochlorid wurde nach derWeissenberg-Technik ausgeführt. Die erhaltenen Werte stimmen mit den früher vonCox und Mitarbeitern gefundenen überein.Die optische Drehung des Chondrosaminhydrochlorids wurde zu [] D 20° = + 135° + 93° + 39° gefunden. Der erstgenannte Wert ist größer als der entsprechende, vonLevene angegebene Drehungswert.Eine Methode zur Darstellung von-Mannose wird beschrieben.

Résumé On propose une méthode de routine simple et pratique pour l'identification de petites quantités de divers sucres au moyen de leur diagramme de poudres aux rayons X. Cette méthode est particulièrement précieuse quand on n'a que de petites quantités de matière à sa disposition et elle s'est montrée très convenable pour l'identification finale de sucres séparés par chromatographie. Des particularités des diagrammes de poudres des monosaccharides suivants intéressent le chimiste physiologiste: et-D-glucose et hydrate de glucose, et-D-galactose, et-D-mannose, D-fructose,D-glucuronolactone, chlorhydrate d' et-D-glucosamine, chlorhydrate d' et-D-galactosamine (chondrosamine), l'-L-fucose, lesD-pentoses, l'arabinose, le lyxose, le ribose, le xylose. Des diagrammes de poudres des galactoses découle clairement le fait que la structure cristalline qui fut attribuée précédemment à l'-galactose est celle de la forme. L'expérience sur un cristal unique de chlorhydrate d'-glucosamine a été effectuée d'après la technique deWeissenberg. Les valeurs obtenues concordent avec celles trouvées précédemment parCox et ses collaborateurs. Le pouvoir rotatoire du chlorhydrate de chondrosamine a été trouvé égal à D 20 = + 135° + 93° + 39°. La première valeur est plus grande que celle donnée parLevene. On décrit une préparation de l'-mannose.

In many-electron atoms, the average electron momentum p represents the mean momentum of a single electron when all the electron motions are averaged. If any two electrons are considered simultaneously, however, the average momentum p splits into two different momenta, low momentum p< and high momentum p>. For the 102 atoms He through Lr in their ground states, the momenta p< and p> are systematically examined at the Hartree–Fock limit level. It is also shown that the sum p>+p< and the difference p>p< of the two momenta constitute upper and lower bounds to the electron-pair relative momentum p12=|p1p2| and to the electron-pair center-of-mass momentum P=|p1+p2|/2. The tightness of the bounds is discussed for the 102 atoms.  相似文献

Two new triterpene glycosides of the -amyrin series, L-C 2 and L-I 2 , 27-hydroxyursolic acid 3-O--L-arabinopyranoside and its 28-O--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(14)-O--D-glucopyranosyl-(16)-O--D-glucopyranosyl ester, are isolated from leaves ofScheffleropsis angkae(Araliaceae). The structures of the glycosides are established using chemical methods and NMR techniques ( 1 H, 13 C, 13 C-APT, COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, HMBC, and ROESY).  相似文献

Linear (planar) molecules A and B which are identical except for isotopic substitutions at the atomic sites are considered. Stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies k and normal modes k of the isotopically perturbed molecule B are expressed in terms of stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies i and the corresponding normal modes i of the unperturbed molecule A. Complete specification of the unperturbed normal modes is not required. All that is needed are stretching (bending, out-of-plane) amplitudes | i of the normal modes i at those sites that are affected by isotopic substitution. The rule which interlaces frequencies k of molecule A with frequencies i of molecule B is derived. Given two isotopic molecules A and B that differ by a single isotopic substitution at site , the inversion relation is derived. This relation expresses unperturbed stretching (bending, out-of-plane) amplitudes at the site in terms of stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies of molecules A and B . As an example, out-of-plane vibrations of deuterated bromoethene were considered. In the simplest method 12 out-of-plane frequencies of four polydeuterated bromoethenes were calculated from 12 out-of-plane frequencies of bromoethene and three monodeuterated bromoethenes. Standard deviation of thus calculated frequencies from experimental frequencies is =2.74 cm–1. In another method, 15 out-of-plane frequencies of four polydeuterated bromoethenes and selected monodeuterated bromoethene are calculated from 9 out-of-plane frequencies of bromoethene and the remaining two monodeuterated bromoethenes. Depending on which monodeuterated bromoethene is selected (1-, cis- or trans-), standard deviation of thus obtained frequencies from experimental frequencies is 1=2.84 cm–1, c=2.96 cm–1 and t=2.72 cm–1.  相似文献

Summary Surface tension e of mercury in equilibrium with crystals (floating on its surface) of octacosane, 1-hexadecanol, 1-octadecanol, ethyl palmitate, benzophenone and azoxybenzene at 7° is almost equal to that at 23° (measured earlier); also the difference between the surface tension ( 0) of uncontaminated mercury and e (i. e., equilibrium surface pressure) is independent of temperature within the limits of the experimental error. This shows that the hypothesis making 0- e an analog of the vapor pressure of the solid is incorrect. The relation e= (=cohesion of the crystal,=thickness of the surface layer of mercury) is in agreement with the negligible temperature coefficient of e . The calculated is approximately 9 angstroems.
Zusammenfassung Die Oberflächenspannung e von Quecksilber im Gleichgewicht mit Kristallen (schwimmend auf der Oberfläche) von Octosane, 1-hexadecanol, 1-octodecanol, Äthylpalmitat, Benzophenon und Azoxylbenzol bei 7 °C ist nahezu gleich der bei23 °C gemessenen. Auch die Differenz der Oberflächenspannung von reinstem Quecksilber ( 0) und ( e), d. h. dem Gleichgewichtsobderflächendruck ist unabhängig von der Temperatur innerhalb der experimentellen Fehlergrenze. Dies zeigt, daß die Hypothese, nach der man 0- e in Analogie zum Dampfdruck des Festen betrachtet, unkorrekt ist. Die Beziehung e= (=Kohäsion des Kristalls,=Dicke des Oberflächenfilms auf Quecksilber) ist in Übereinstimmung mit dem vernachlässigbaren Temperaturkoefifzienten von e. Das berechnete beträgt ungefähr 9 Å.

The reaction of dichloro{1-methyl-2-(arylazo)imidazole}palladium(II), Pd(RaaiMe)Cl2 where RaaiMe = p-R–C6H4N=N–C3H2N2-1-Me; R = H(1), Me(2), Cl(3), with pyridine bases [RPY: R = H (a), 4-Me (b), 4-Cl (c), 2-Me (d), 2,6-Me2 (e), 2,4,6-Me3 (f)] has been studied spectrophotometrically in MeCN at 451 nm. The products (4) have been isolated and characterised as trans-Pd(RPy)2Cl2. The kinetics of the nucleophilic substitution has been examined under pseudo-first-order conditions at 298 K. A single phase reaction step has been observed for bases such as Hpy (a), 4-MePy (b) and 4-ClPy (c) and follows the rate law: rate = (a + k[RPy]2[Pd(RaaiMe)Cl2]). The bases 2-MePy (d), 2,6-Me2Py (e) and 2,4,6-Me3Py (f) exhibits a bi-phasic reaction and follows the rate laws: rate–1 = (a + k[RPy][Pd(RaaiMe)Cl2]) and rate–2 = (a + k[RPy][Pd(RaaiMe)-Cl2]), where k is the third-order rate constant; k is the second-order first phase rate constant, k is the second-order second phase rate constant and a/a/a correspond to the solvent dependent constant of the respective reaction path. The rate data supports a nucleophilic association path. External addition of Cl (LiCl) suppresses the rate, which follows the order: k/k/k (3) > k/k,k (1) > k/k,k (2). The k values are linearly related to the Hammett constants. The 2-substituted pyridines (d–f) remarkably reduce the rate and show a bi-phasic reaction behaviour as compared with 4-Rpy (a–c). This is attributed to the steric effect that destabilises the transition state. The rate decreases with increasing steric crowding at the ortho-position and follows the order: (d) > (f) > (e). The 4-substituted pyridines control the rate via an inductive effect and follow the order: (b) > (a) > (c).  相似文献

The lactone of 5 - -hydroxyethylorotic acid, the thiolactone of 5-(-mercaptoethyl)orotic acid, and 5-(-benzamidobutyl)orotic acid were synthesized from substituted 5-carb-ethoxymethylenehydantoins obtained by the condensation of urea with -ethoxalyl derivatives of -butyrolactone, -thiobutyrolactone, and ethyl -benzamidocaproate. The lactam of 5-(-aminoethyl)orotic acid was synthesized by the ammonolysis of the lactone of 5 -(-hydroxyethyl)orotic acid. Summary For visual analysis of the density reorganization and distortion, the one-dimensional cut (x, y 0,z 0) and the two-dimensional cut (x, y, z 0) of the three-dimensional electron density difference function (x, y, z) are frequently employed. However, these cut functions do not satisfy any sum rules in contrast to the original difference function (x, y, z). To avoid this difficulty, the use of the marginal electron density functions x (x) and xy (x, y) and their difference functions x (x) and xy (x, y) is proposed. The marginal densities are condensation of the three-dimensional density onto a particular plane or line of our interest, and they satisfy the sum rule (i.e., the conservation of the number of electrons) exactly. Some basic properties of the marginal electron density are clarified for typical diatomic molecular orbitals. An illustrative application is given for the bonding and antibonding processes in the H2 system.  相似文献

The reaction of ethynylmagnesium bromide with chloroisopropylgermanes (i-Pr4 - n GeCl/sub> n , n = 1-3) was used to prepare previously unknown ethynylisopropylgermanes i-Pr4 - n Ge(CCH) n (n = 1-3). The reaction of Me3SiCCMgBr with i-PrGeCl3 afforded i-Pr(Me3SiCC)3 - n GeCl n (n = 1, 2). The reaction of the monochloride with BrMdCCH gave i-Pr(HCC)2GeCCSiMe3, while with the dichloride, i-Pr(HCC)·Ge(CSiMe3)2 formed. The latter compounds were obtained by independent synthesis from i-PrGe(CCH)3, EtMgBr, and ClSiMe3. The reaction of (bromomagnesioethynyl)triisopropylgermane with Me3SiCl gave i-Pr3GeCSiMe3.  相似文献

Useful approaches to the calculation of symmetry coupling coefficients 1 1 2/2|b are reviewed. Since a common phase factor always remains undetermined for each trio of 1, 2, and, a unique standardization of phase is proposed by the requirement, in Racah's lemma, (j 1 1 a 1,j 2 2 a 2|j ab) 0and real. In conjunction with the basis relations and the phase convention for Wigner coefficients, a novel method is suggested for the calculation of symmetry coupling coefficients in the group G from those in the subgroupG SU(2) orR 3. The complexes Co3(CO)9( 3-X) (X=S, Se) can be reduced to the corresponding anionic species [Co3(CO)9( 3-X)], which react with allyl bromide to give Co3(CO)7(- 3-C3H5)( 3-X) (X=S, Se). These are the first two cobalt complexes containing the bridging - 3-allyl ligand. The structure of the selenium complex was determined by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data for Co3(CO)7(- 3-C3H5)( 3-Se) are as follows: space group P21/c, a=9.051(2) Å, b=8.102(2) Å, c=21.27(4) Å, =93.82(3)°, Z=4, and R=0.0565 for 2491 observed reflections.  相似文献

Four new polynuclear complexes: [Zn(2picNO)(N3)2]n, [Zn(4Mepym)(N3)2]n, [Cd(2picNO)(N3)2]n, and [Cd(4Mepym)(N3)2]n (2picNO=2-picoline-N-oxide and 4Mepym=4-methylpyrimidine) have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structures of the zinc(II) complexes feature five-coordinate zinc atoms, (-1,1) azido bridges, monodentate organic ligands, and 1D chains. The cadmium(II) azide complexes contain distorted octahedral metal atoms linked by alternate di-(-1,1) and di-(-1,3) azido bridges in cis arrangement and these chains are connected by 2picNO bridges giving a honeycomb 2D framework or by 4Mepym bridges forming extended 2D network structure.  相似文献

Dynamic surface tension values of aqueous surfactant solutions were measured by using the ring and plate method. The mean diffusion coefficients calculated on the basis of the purely diffusion controlled adsorption model vary between 2 · 10–6 to 7 · 10–6 cm2/s for all surfactants studied:n-alkanols,n-alkanoic acids, dimethyl and diethyln-alkyl phosphine oxides. In Standard Reference Material 968b, fat-soluble vitamins and cholesterol in human serum, certified values are provided for cholesterol, retinol, retinyl palmitate, -tocopherol, trans--carotene, total -carotene (trans plus cis isomers), total -carotene, and lutein. Non-certified values are also reported for -tocopherol (includes -tocopherol), -tocopherol, zeaxanthin, -cryptoxanthin, trans-lycopene, trans-lycopene, trans--carotene, total lycopene, 9-cis-carotene, 13- plus 15-cis--carotene, and 15-cis--carotene. Both certified and non-certified values are based on the agreement among results from three different liquid chromatographic analytical procedures developed at NIST and from an interlaboratory comparison exercise among institutions that participate in a NIST-managed Micronutrients Measurement Quality Assurance Program. Cholesterol is certified in this material using the NIST isotope dilution/mass spectrometric definitive method.  相似文献

The reaction of [RuCp(CH3CN)3]PF6 with 1 equiv of N-Me-imidazole results in the quantitative formation of [RuCp(1N-N-Me-imidazole)(CH3CN)2]PF6 (1) featuring a 1N rather than a 1C bound N-Me-imidazole ligand. According to DFT/B3LYP calculations, 1N coordination of N-Me-imidazole is preferred over 1C coordination by 25.5kJ/mol. Upon exposure to air 1 reacts with oxygen and water to afford the novel hydroxo-bridged dinuclear complex of [Ru2Cp2(1N-N-Me-imidazole)2(-OH)2](PF6)2 (2) featuring a metal-metal single bond. The dimeric nature of 2 was confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray structure analysis.  相似文献

Precise, absolute -ray efficiences ( ) and total efficiences ( T), have been measured at various distances from the detector, using a set of standards. The observed linear variation of and T as well as / T with E and provides a simple means of interpolation and extrapolation. Experimental coincidence summation effects were determined for various nuclides and compared with calculated values. The results are found to be in good agreement with each other.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung -Aminoisobuttersäure wird nach quantitativer Dinitrophenylierung dünnschichtchromatographisch getrennt und quantitativ bestimmt. Es werden Laufmittelsysteme und Techniken angegeben, die es gestatten, je nach Zeitaufwand bis zu 4 mMol dieser Aminosäure zu erfassen (Verunreinigungen <1,5%).
Summary Dinitrophenyl derivatives of -aminoisobutyric acid are separated by thin-layer chromatography and estimated quantitatively. Solvents and techniques are discussed, which are sensitive to 4 mmoles of -AIB, the standard error varying within ±1,5%.

Hatree–Fock calculations at ab initio and semiempirical levels were carried out for the averaged polarizability α and second hyperpolarizability γ of two pairs of quadrupolar isomers with different donor and acceptor groups. These properties were correlated with the antibonding/bonding π occupation number (π*/π ratio). It was found that isomers with extended π systems had low π*/π ratios and high α and γ values, while low α and γ values were obtained for isomers with large π*/π ratios and no extended π system. The PM3 and PM6 α values were found to be in excellent agreement with the HF/6-31+G(d,p) ones. The PM3 values for γ were significantly larger than those calculated by HF/6-31+G(d,p), with an average PM3/HF ratio of 1.43. The PM6 results were noticeably better with a ratio of 0.85. The calculation of α and γ at MP2/6-31+G(d,p) level for representative isomers showed that the contribution of the electron correlation to their values was small and that the HF/6-31+G(d,p) method provides reliable values at much lower computational cost.  相似文献
