The Lehmer inequality and the Mordell-Weil theorem for Drinfeld modules

In this paper we prove several Lehmer type inequalities for Drinfeld modules which will enable us to prove certain Mordell-Weil type structure theorems for Drinfeld modules.     

Drinfeld modular polynomials in higher rank

We study modular polynomials classifying cyclic isogenies between Drinfeld modules of arbitrary rank over the ring Fq[T]. We derive bounds for the coefficients of these polynomials, and compute some explicit examples in the case where q=2, the rank is 3 and the isogenies have degree T.     

Linear independence and divided derivatives of a Drinfeld module II

In this note we extend our previous results on the linear independence of values of the divided derivatives of exponential and quasi-periodic functions related to a Drinfeld module to divided derivatives of values of identity and quasi-periodic functions evaluated at the logarithm of an algebraic value. The change in point of view enables us to deal smoothly with divided derivatives of arbitrary order. Moreover we treat a full complement of quasi-periodic functions corresponding to a basis of de Rham cohomology.

     

A Sato–Tate Law for Drinfeld Modules

We formulate and prove a Sato–Tate equidistribution law for Drinfeld modules.     

Compact operators on Hilbert modules

We prove that an adjointable contraction acting on a countably generated Hilbert module over a separable unital C*-algebra is compact if and only if the set of its second contractive perturbations is separable.

     

On the Drinfeld discriminant function

The discriminant function is a certain rigid analytic modularform defined on Drinfelds upper half-plane . Its absolutevalue may be considered as a function on theassociated Bruhat–Tits tree T. We compare log with the conditionally convergent complex-valued Eisenstein series Edefined on T and thereby obtain results about the growth of and of some related modular forms. We further determine to what extent roots may be extracted of (z)/(nz),regarded as a holomorphic function on . In some cases, this enables us to calculate cuspidal divisor class groups of modular curves.     

Hilbert modules over a class of semicrossed products

Given the disk algebra and an automorphism , there is associated a non-self-adjoint operator algebra called the semicrossed product of with . Buske and Peters showed that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the contractive Hilbert modules over and pairs of contractions and on satisfying . In this paper, we show that the orthogonally projective and Shilov Hilbert modules over correspond to pairs of isometries on satisfying . The problem of commutant lifting for is left open, but some related results are presented.     

Essentially normal Hilbert modules and K-homology IV: Quasi-homogenous quotient modules of Hardy module on the polydisks

In this paper,we give a complete characterization for the essential normality of quasi-homogenous quotient modules of the Hardy modules H2 (D2).Also,we show that if d 3,then all the principle homogenous quotient modules of H 2 (Dd) are not essentially normal.     

Factoring polynomials over finite fields with Drinfeld modules

In the following, we describe a way of factoring polynomials in with Drinfeld modules. We furthermore analyse the complexity of the algorithm and compare it to the well-known Cantor-Zassenhaus algorithm.

     

Frobenius distributions of Drinfeld modules over finite fields

We express the weighted class number of Drinfeld -modules of rank two with given characteristic polynomial over the finite field , where as an infinite product of local terms. Some auxiliary results of independent interest about characteristic polynomials of Drinfeld modules are given.

     

Isomorphism of Hilbert modules over stably finite C-algebras

It is shown that if A is a stably finite C^∗-algebra and E is a countably generated Hilbert A-module, then E gives rise to a compact element of the Cuntz semigroup if and only if E is algebraically finitely generated and projective. It follows that if E and F are equivalent in the sense of Coward, Elliott and Ivanescu (CEI) and E is algebraically finitely generated and projective, then E and F are isomorphic. In contrast to this, we exhibit two CEI-equivalent Hilbert modules over a stably finite C^∗-algebra that are not isomorphic.     

On Hilbert modules over locally <Emphasis Type="Italic">C</Emphasis>*-algebras II

Summary In this paper we study the unitary equivalence between Hilbert modules over a locally <InlineEquation ID=IE"1"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[<InlineEquation ID=IE"2"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[<InlineEquation ID=IE"3"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[<InlineEquation ID=IE"4"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[<InlineEquation ID=IE"5"><EquationSource Format="TEX"><![CDATA[$]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>]]></EquationSource></InlineEquation>C^{*}$-algebra. Also, we prove a stabilization theorem for countably generated modules over an arbitrary locally $C^{*}$-algebra and show that a Hilbert module over a Fr\'{e}chet locally $C^{*}$-algebra is countably generated if and only if the locally $C^{*}$-algebra of all ``compact' operators has an approximate unit.     

Some results on the cofiniteness and annihilators of local cohomology modules

Let (R,𝔪) be a Noetherian local ring. In this paper, we give a new characterization for the universal catenaricity of R and the Cohen–Macaulayness of all its formal fibers, and we study the cofiniteness and annihilators of local cohomology modules.     

A Braided Version of Some Results of Skryabin

We extend the main result of Skryabin in [9 Skryabin , S. ( 2007 ). Projectivity and freeness over comodule algebras . Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 359 : 2597 – 2623 .[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]] to Yetter-Drinfeld Hopf algebras over an arbitrary Hopf algebra H with bijective antipode.     

Coefficients of Drinfeld modular forms and Hecke operators

Consider the space of Drinfeld modular forms of fixed weight and type for Γ₀(n)⊂GL₂(Fq[T]). It has a linear form bn, given by the coefficient of tm+n(q−1) in the power series expansion of a type m modular form at the cusp infinity, with respect to the uniformizer t. It also has an action of a Hecke algebra. Our aim is to study the Hecke module spanned by b₁. We give elements in the Hecke annihilator of b₁. Some of them are expected to be nontrivial and such a phenomenon does not occur for classical modular forms. Moreover, we show that the Hecke module considered is spanned by coefficients bn, where n runs through an infinite set of integers. As a consequence, for any Drinfeld Hecke eigenform, we can compute explicitly certain coefficients in terms of the eigenvalues. We give an application to coefficients of the Drinfeld Hecke eigenform h.     

Selforthogonal modules with finite injective dimension

The category consisting of finitely generated modules which are left orthogonal with a cotilting bimodule is shown to be functorially finite. The notion of left orthogonal dimension is introduced, and then a necessary and sufficient condition of selforthogonal modules having finite injective dimension and a characterization of cotilting modules are given.     

Drinfeld Double for Braided Infinitesimal Hopf Algebras

In this paper, we mainly construct the Drinfeld double for braided infinitesimal Hopf algebras in Yetter–Drinfeld categories as a generalization of Aguiar's result.
