Torsional and rotational spectroscopic properties of pyruvic acid are determined using highly correlated ab initio methods and combining two different theoretical approaches: Second order perturbation theory and a variational procedure in three-dimensions. Four equilibrium geometries of pyruvic acid, Tc, Tt, Ct, and CC, outcome from a search with CCSD(T)-F12. All of them can be classified in the Cs point group. The variational calculations are performed considering the three internal rotation modes responsible for the non-rigidity as independent coordinates. More than 50 torsional energy levels (including torsional subcomponents) are localized in the 406–986 cm−1 region and represent excitations of the ν24 (skeletal torsion) and the ν23 (methyl torsion) modes. The third independent variable, the OH torsion, interacts strongly with ν23. The A1/E splitting of the ground vibrational state has been evaluated to be 0.024 cm−1 as it was expected given the high of the methyl torsional barrier (338 cm−1). A very good agreement with respect to previous experimental data concerning fundamental frequencies (νCAL − νEXP ~ 1 cm−1), and rotational parameters (B0CAL − B0EXP < 5 MHz), is obtained.  相似文献

A diimine ligand having two [2.2]paracyclophanyl substituents at the N atoms (L1) was prepared from the reaction of amino[2.2]paracyclophane with acenaphtenequinone. The ligand reacts with NiBr2(dme) (dme: 1,2-dimethoxyethane) to form the dibromonickel complex with (R,R) and (S,S) configuration, NiBr2(L1). The structure of the complex was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. NiBr2(L1) catalyzes oligomerization of ethylene in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) co-catalyst at 10–50 °C to form a mixture of 1- and 2-butenes after 3 h. The reactions for 6 h and 8 h at 25 °C causes further increase of 2-butene formed via isomerization of 1-butene and formation of hexenes. Reaction of 1-hexene catalyzed by NiBr2(L1)–MAO produces 2-hexene via isomerization and C12 and C18 hydrocarbons via oligomerization. Consumption of 1-hexene of the reaction obeys first-order kinetics. The kinetic parameters were obtained to be ΔG = 93.6 kJ mol−1, ΔH = 63.0 kJ mol−1, and ΔS = −112 J mol−1deg−1. NiBr2(L1) catalyzes co-dimerization of ethylene and 1-hexene to form C8 hydrocarbons with higher rate and selectivity than the tetramerization of ethylene.  相似文献

The gas-phase structures of the fruit ester methyl hexanoate, CH3-O-(C=O)-C5H11, have been determined using a combination of molecular jet Fourier-transform microwave spectroscopy and quantum chemistry. The microwave spectrum was measured in the frequency range of 3 to 23 GHz. Two conformers were assigned, one with Cs symmetry and the other with C1 symmetry where the γ-carbon atom of the hexyl chain is in a gauche orientation in relation to the carbonyl bond. Splittings of all rotational lines into doublets were observed due to internal rotation of the methoxy methyl group CH3-O, from which torsional barriers of 417 cm−1 and 415 cm−1, respectively, could be deduced. Rotational constants obtained from geometry optimizations at various levels of theory were compared to the experimental values, confirming the soft degree of freedom of the (C=O)-C bond observed for the C1 conformer of shorter methyl alkynoates like methyl butyrate and methyl valerate. Comparison of the barriers to methyl internal rotation of methyl hexanoate to those of other CH3-O-(C=O)-R molecules leads to the conclusion that though the barrier height is relatively constant at about 420 cm−1, it decreases in molecules with longer R.  相似文献

Structural factors have been identified that determine the gas-phase acidity of ortho-substituted benzenesulfonic acid, 2-XC6H4–SO3H, (X = –SO3H, –COOH, –NO2, –SO2F, –C≡N, –NH2, –CH3, –OCH3, –N(CH3)2, –OH). The DFT/B3LYP/cc-pVTZ method was used to perform conformational analysis and study the structural features of the molecular and deprotonated forms of these compounds. It has been shown that many of the conformers may contain anintramolecular hydrogen bond (IHB) between the sulfonic group and the substituent, and the sulfonic group can be an IHB donor or an acceptor. The Gibbs energies of gas-phase deprotonation ΔrG0298 (kJ mol–1) were calculated for all compounds. It has been set that in ortho-substituted benzenesulfonic acids, the formation of various types of IHB is possible, having a significant effect on the ΔrG0298 values of gas-phase deprotonation. If the –SO3H group is the IHB donor, then an ion without an IHB is formed upon deprotonation, and the deprotonation energy increases. If this group is an IHB acceptor, then a significant decrease in ΔrG0298 of gas-phase deprotonation is observed due to an increase in IHB strength and the A anion additional stabilization. A proton donor ability comparative characteristic of the –SO3H group in the studied ortho-substituted benzenesulfonic acids is given, and the ΔrG0298 energies are compared with the corresponding values of ortho-substituted benzoic acids.  相似文献

Biradicaloid compounds with an open-shell ground state have been the subject of intense research in the past decade. Although diindenoacenes are one of the most developed families, only a few examples have been reported as active layers in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) with a charge mobility of around 10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1 due to a steric disadvantage of the mesityl group to kinetically stabilize compounds. Herein, we disclose our efforts to improve the charge transport of the diindenoacene family based on hexahydro-diindenopyrene (HDIP) derivatives with different annelation modes for which the most reactive position has been functionalized with (triisopropylsilyl)ethynyl (TIPS) groups. All the HDIP derivatives show remarkably higher stability than that of TIPS-pentacene, enduring for 2 days to more than 30 days, which depends on the oxidation potential, the contribution of the singlet biradical form in the ground state and the annelation mode. The annelation mode affects not only the band gap and the biradical character (y0) but also the value of the singlet–triplet energy gap (ΔES–T) that does not follow the reverse trend of y0. A method based on comparison between experimental and theoretical bond lengths has been disclosed to estimate y0 and shows that y0 computed at the projected unrestricted Hartree–Fock (PUHF) level is the most relevant among those reported by all other methods. Thanks to their high stability, thin-film OFETs were successfully fabricated. Well balanced ambipolar transport was obtained in the order of 10−3 cm2 V−1 s−1 in the bottom-gate/top-contact configuration, and unipolar transport in the top-gate/bottom-contact configuration was obtained in the order of 10−1 cm2 V−1 s−1 which is the highest value obtained for biradical compounds with a diindenoacene skeleton.

Biradicaloid HDIP derivatives show that the ΔES–T gap does not follow the reverse trend of the biradical character but depends more on the delocalization of the radical centres at the outer rings.  相似文献

The spectra of six isotopic species of methanol trapped in neon matrix have been recorded between 30 and 11,000 cm−1. Noticeable temperature effects are observed for the OH species. They allow two kinds of absorptions to be identified for most of the vibrational transitions: those low temperature (LT) predominating at 2.7 K and those high temperature (HT) significantly increasing in intensity when varying temperature from 2.7 to 7 K. The conversion is perfectly reversible and has been examined from two points of view: the kinetics of interconversion and the activation energy associated to the process. The kinetic study shows that the limiting factor of the measurements is the time required for spectral acquisition (about 5 s). The activation energy deduced from Arrhenius plots is found equal to 6.7 ± 0.5 cm−1. From the comparison with gas phase data one concludes that the internal rotation about the C–O bond is not strongly altered by the matrix surrounding, the activation energy corresponding to the E–A tunneling splitting of the ground state (9.12 cm−1 for CH3OH in the gas phase). The pure torsion and the torsion-vibration spectra are generally consistent with those in the gas phase. In particular the complex structure of the COH bending mode is well reproduced, with a clear identification of the transitions issuing from the A and E sublevels of the ground state.  相似文献

The solubility of dehydroabietic acid in (−)-α-pinene, p-cymene, (−)-β-caryophyllene, (−)-α-pinene + p-cymene, (−)-β-caryophyllene + p-cymene and (−)-α-pinene + (−)-β-caryophyllene were determined using the laser monitoring method at atmospheric pressure. The solubility of dehydroabietic acid was positively correlated with temperature from 295.15 to 339.46 K. (−)-α-pinene, p-cymene, and (−)-β-caryophyllene were found to be suitable for the solubilization of dehydroabietic acid. In addition, the non-random two liquid (NRTL), universal quasi-chemical (UNIQUAC), modified Apelblat, modified Wilson, modified Wilson–van’t Hoff, and λh models were applied to correlate the determined solubility data. The modified Apelblat model gave the minor deviation for dehydroabietic acid in monosolvents, while the λh equation showed the best result in the binary solvents. A comparative analysis of compatibility between solutes and solvents was carried out using Hansen solubility parameters. The thermodynamic functions of ΔsolH0, ΔsolS0, ΔsolG0 were calculated according to the van’t Hoff equation, indicating that the dissolution was an entropy-driven heat absorption process. The Conductor-like Screening Model for Real Solvents (COSMO-RS) combined with an experimental value was applied to predict the reasonable solubility data of dehydroabietic acid in the selected solvents systems. The interaction energy of the dehydroabietic acid with the solvent was analyzed by COSMO-RS.  相似文献

The carbon-carbon cross-coupling of phenyl s-tetrazine (Tz) units at their ortho-phenyl positions allows the formation of constrained bis(tetrazines) with original tweezer structures. In these compounds, the face-to-face positioning of the central tetrazine cores is reinforced by π-stacking of the electron-poor nitrogen-containing heteroaromatic moieties. The resulting tetra-aromatic structure can be used as a weak coordinating ligand with cationic silver. This coordination generates a set of bis(tetrazine)-silver(I) coordination complexes tolerating a large variety of counter anions of various geometries, namely, PF6, BF4, SbF6, ClO4, NTf2, and OTf. These compounds were characterized in the solid state by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and in solution by 1H-NMR, mass spectrometry, electroanalysis, and UV-visible absorption spectrophotometry. The X-ray crystal structure of complexes {[Ag(3)][PF6]} (4) and {[Ag(3)][SbF6]} (6), where 3 is 3,3′-[(1,1′-biphenyl)-2,2′-diyl]-6,6′-bis(phenyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine, revealed the formation of 1D polymeric chains, characterized by an evolution to a large opening of the original tweezer and a coordination of silver(I) via two chelating nitrogen atom and some C=C π-interactions. Electrochemical and UV spectroscopic properties of the original tweezer and of the corresponding silver complexes are reported and compared. 1H-NMR titrations with AgNTf2 allowed the determination of the stoichiometry and apparent stability of two solution species, namely [Ag(3)]+ and [Ag(3)2]2+, that formed in CDCl3/CD3OD 2:1 v/v mixtures.  相似文献

In this paper, the rate coefficients (k) and activation energies (Ea) for SiCl4, SiHCl3, and Si(CH3)2(CH2Cl)Cl molecules in the gas phase were measured using the pulsed Townsend technique. The experiment was performed in the temperature range of 298–378 K, and carbon dioxide was used as a buffer gas. The obtained k depended on temperature in accordance with the Arrhenius equation. From the fit to the experimental data points with function described by the Arrhenius equation, the activation energies (Ea) were determined. The obtained k values at 298 K are equal to (5.18 ± 0.22) × 10−10 cm3·s−1, (3.98 ± 1.8) × 10−9 cm3·s−1 and (8.46 ± 0.23) × 10−11 cm3·s−1 and Ea values were equal to 0.25 ± 0.01 eV, 0.20 ± 0.01 eV, and 0.27 ± 0.01 eV for SiHCl3, SiCl4, and Si(CH3)2(CH2Cl)Cl, respectively. The linear relation between rate coefficients and activation energies for chlorosilanes was demonstrated. The DFT/B3LYP level coupled with the 6-31G(d) basis sets method was used for calculations of the geometry change associated with negative ion formation for simple chlorosilanes. The relationship between these changes and the polarizability of the attaching center (αcentre) was found. Additionally, the calculated adiabatic electron affinities (AEA) are related to the αcentre.  相似文献

FT-jet spectra of propene were recorded at 0.005 cm−1 instrumental resolution around 950 cm-1. Thanks to the jet conditions, probably corresponding to Trot close to 80 K, the torsion degrees of freedom are efficiently cooled down and the fine structure of the ν18 and ν19 vibrational bands could be investigated. The bands are perturbed and approximate variation of the principal rotational constants are obtained, as well as band origins. The A/E torsional splitting appears totally unpredictable over the range of vibrational-torsional energy investigated.  相似文献

Spruce (Picea abies) wood hemicelluloses have been obtained by the noncatalytic and catalytic oxidative delignification in the acetic acid-water-hydrogen peroxide medium in a processing time of 3–4 h and temperatures of 90–100 °C. In the catalytic process, the H2SO4, MnSO4, TiO2, and (NH4)6Mo7O24 catalysts have been used. A polysaccharide yield of up to 11.7 wt% has been found. The hemicellulose composition and structure have been studied by a complex of physicochemical methods, including gas and gel permeation chromatography, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. The galactose:mannose:glucose:arabinose:xylose monomeric units in a ratio of 5:3:2:1:1 have been identified in the hemicelluloses by gas chromatography. Using gel permeation chromatography, the weight average molar mass Mw of hemicelluloses has been found to attain 47,654 g/mol in noncatalytic delignification and up to 42,793 g/mol in catalytic delignification. Based on the same technique, a method for determining the α and k parameters of the Mark–Kuhn–Houwink equation for hemicelluloses has been developed; it has been established that these parameters change between 0.33–1.01 and 1.57–472.17, respectively, depending on the catalyst concentration and process temperature and time. Moreover, the FTIR spectra of the hemicellulose samples contain all the bands characteristic of heteropolysaccharides, specifically, 1069 cm−1 (C–O–C and C–O–H), 1738 cm−1 (ester C=O), 1375 cm−1 (–C–CH3), 1243 cm−1 (–C–O–), etc. It has been determined by the thermogravimetric analysis that the hemicelluloses isolated from spruce wood are resistant to heating to temperatures of up to ~100 °C and, upon further heating, start destructing at an increasing rate. The antioxidant activity of the hemicelluloses has been examined using the compounds simulating the 2,2-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radicals.  相似文献

The construction of macromolecular hosts that are able to thread chiral guests in a stereoselective fashion is a big challenge. We herein describe the asymmetric synthesis of two enantiomeric C2-symmetric porphyrin macrocyclic hosts that thread and bind different viologen guests. Time-resolved fluorescence studies show that these hosts display a factor 3 kinetic preference (ΔΔGon = 3 kJ mol−1) for threading onto the different enantiomers of a viologen guest appended with bulky chiral 1-phenylethoxy termini. A smaller kinetic selectivity (ΔΔGon = 1 kJ mol−1) is observed for viologens equipped with small chiral sec-butoxy termini. Kinetic selectivity is absent when the C2-symmetric hosts are threaded onto chiral viologens appended with chiral tails in which the chiral moieties are located in the centers of the chains, rather than at the chain termini. The reason is that the termini of the latter guests, which engage in the initial stages of the threading process (entron effect), cannot discriminate because they are achiral, in contrast to the chiral termini of the former guests. Finally, our experiments show that the threading and de-threading rates are balanced in such a way that the observed binding constants are highly similar for all the investigated host–guest complexes, i.e. there is no thermodynamic selectivity.

Chiral guests display kinetic stereoselective threading through chiral porphyrin cages if their chirality is located at the chain ends and not in the centers, supporting the previously reported entron effect of threading.  相似文献

Theoretical investigations on chemical reactions allow us to understand the dynamics of the possible pathways and identify new unexpected routes. Here, we develop a global analytical potential energy surface (PES) for the OH + CH3F reaction in order to perform high-level dynamics simulations. Besides bimolecular nucleophilic substitution (SN2) and proton abstraction, our quasi-classical trajectory computations reveal a novel oxide ion substitution leading to the HF + CH3O products. This exothermic reaction pathway occurs via the CH3OH⋯F deep potential well of the SN2 product channel as a result of a proton abstraction from the hydroxyl group by the fluoride ion. The present detailed dynamics study of the OH + CH3F reaction focusing on the surprising oxide ion substitution demonstrates how incomplete our knowledge is of fundamental chemical reactions.

Reaction dynamics simulations on a high-level ab initio analytical potential energy surface reveal a novel oxide ion substitution channel for the OH + CH3F reaction.  相似文献

The solubility of glibenclamide was evaluated in DMSO, NMP, 1,4-dioxane, PEG 400, Transcutol® HP, water, and aqueous mixtures (T = 293.15~323.15 K). It was then recrystallized to solvate and compressed into tablets, of which 30-day stability and dissolution was studied. It had a higher solubility in 1,4-dioxane, DMSO, NMP (Xexp = 2.30 × 103, 3.08 × 104, 2.90 × 104) at 323.15 K, its mixture (Xexp = 1.93 × 103, 1.89 × 104, 1.58 × 104) at 298.15 K, and 1,4-dioxane (w) + water (1−w) mixture ratio of w = 0.8 (Xexp = 3.74 × 103) at 323.15 K. Modified Apelblat (RMSD ≤ 0.519) and CNIBS/R-K model (RMSD ≤ 0.358) suggested good comparability with the experimental solubility. The minimum value of ΔG° vs ΔH° at 0.70 < x2 < 0.80 suggested higher solubility at that molar concentration. Based on the solubility, it was recrystallized into the solvate, which was granulated and compressed into tablets. Among the studied solvates, the tablets of glibenclamide dioxane solvate had a higher initial (95.51%) and 30-day (93.74%) dissolution compared to glibenclamide reference (28.93%). There was no stability issue even after granulation, drying, or at pH 7.4. Thus, glibenclamide dioxane solvate could be an alternative form to improve the molecule’s properties.  相似文献

Piezoelectric materials that generate electricity when deforming are ideal for many implantable medical sensing devices. In modern piezoelectric materials, inorganic ceramics and polymers are two important branches, represented by lead zirconate titanate (PZT) and polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF). However, PVDF is a nondegradable plastic with poor crystallinity and a large coercive field, and PZT suffers from high sintering temperature and toxic heavy element. Here, we successfully design a metal-free small-molecule ferroelectric, 3,3-difluorocyclobutanammonium hydrochloride ((3,3-DFCBA)Cl), which has high piezoelectric voltage coefficients g33 (437.2 × 10−3 V m N−1) and g31 (586.2 × 10−3 V m N−1), a large electrostriction coefficient Q33 (about 4.29 m4 C−2) and low acoustic impedance z0 (2.25 × 106 kg s−1 m−2), significantly outperforming PZT (g33 = 34 × 10−3 V m N−1 and z0 = 2.54 × 107 kg s−1 m−2) and PVDF (g33 = 286.7 × 10−3 V m N−1, g31 = 185.9 × 10−3 V m N−1, Q33 = 1.3 m4 C−2, and z0 = 3.69 × 106 kg s−1 m−2). Such a low acoustic impedance matches that of the body (1.38–1.99 × 106 kg s−1 m−2) reasonably well, making it attractive as next-generation biocompatible piezoelectric devices for health monitoring and “disposable” invasive medical ultrasound imaging.

A small-molecule organic ferroelectric (3,3-DFCBA)Cl has high piezoelectric voltage coefficients g33 (437.2 × 10−3 V m N−1), a large electrostriction coefficient Q33, and low acoustic impedance z0, far beyond that of PZT and PVDF.  相似文献

Non-catalysed and catalysed reactions of aluminium reagents with furans, dihydrofurans and dihydropyrans were investigated and lead to ring-expanded products due to the insertion of the aluminium reagent into a C–O bond of the heterocycle. Specifically, the reaction of [{(ArNCMe)2CH}Al] (Ar = 2,6-di-iso-propylphenyl, 1) with furans proceeded between 25 and 80 °C leading to dearomatised products due to the net transformation of a sp2 C–O bond into a sp2 C–Al bond. The kinetics of the reaction of 1 with furan were found to be 1st order with respect to 1 with activation parameters ΔH = +19.7 (±2.7) kcal mol−1, ΔS = −18.8 (±7.8) cal K−1 mol−1 and ΔG298 K = +25.3 (±0.5) kcal mol−1 and a KIE of 1.0 ± 0.1. DFT calculations support a stepwise mechanism involving an initial (4 + 1) cycloaddition of 1 with furan to form a bicyclic intermediate that rearranges by an α-migration. The selectivity of ring-expansion is influenced by factors that weaken the sp2 C–O bond through population of the σ*-orbital. Inclusion of [Pd(PCy3)2] as a catalyst in these reactions results in expansion of the substrate scope to include 2,3-dihydrofurans and 3,4-dihydropyrans and improves selectivity. Under catalysed conditions, the C–O bond that breaks is that adjacent to the sp2C–H bond. The aluminium(iii) dihydride reagent [{(MesNCMe)2CH}AlH2] (Mes = 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl, 2) can also be used under catalytic conditions to effect a dehydrogenative ring-expansion of furans. Further mechanistic analysis shows that C–O bond functionalisation occurs via an initial C–H bond alumination. Kinetic products can be isolated that are derived from installation of the aluminium reagent at the 2-position of the heterocycle. C–H alumination occurs with a KIE of 4.8 ± 0.3 consistent with a turnover limiting step involving oxidative addition of the C–H bond to the palladium catalyst. Isomerisation of the kinetic C–H aluminated product to the thermodynamic C–O ring expansion product is an intramolecular process that is again catalysed by [Pd(PCy3)2]. DFT calculations suggest that the key C–O bond breaking step involves attack of an aluminium based metalloligand on the 2-palladated heterocycle. The new methodology has been applied to important platform chemicals from biomass.

Non-catalysed and catalysed reactions of aluminium reagents with furans, dihydrofurans and dihydropyrans were investigated and lead to ring-expanded products due to the insertion of the aluminium reagent into a C–O bond of the heterocycle.  相似文献

Triplet diradicals have attracted tremendous attention due to their promising application in organic spintronics, organic magnets and spin filters. However, very few examples of triplet diradicals with singlet–triplet energy gaps (ΔEST) over 0.59 kcal mol−1 (298 K) have been reported to date. In this work, we first proved that the dianion of 2,7-di-tert-butyl-pyrene-4,5,9,10-tetraone (2,7-tBu2-PTO) was a triplet ground state diradical in the magnesium complex 1 with a singlet–triplet energy gap ΔEST = 0.94 kcal mol−1 (473 K). This is a rare example of stable diradicals with singlet–triplet energy gaps exceeding the thermal energy at room temperature (298 K). Moreover, the iron analog 2 containing the 2,7-tBu2-PTO diradical dianion was isolated, which was the first single-molecule magnet bridged by a diradical dianion. When 2 was doubly reduced to the dianion salt 2K2, single-molecule magnetism was switched off, highlighting the importance of diradicals in single-molecule magnetism.

We report a triplet diradical dianion in magnesium complex with ΔEST = 0.94 kcal mol−1 (473 K). Its iron analog is the first single-molecule magnet bridged by a diradical dianion, and the SMM property is switched off through two-electron reduction.  相似文献

Wine production annually generates an estimated 11 million metric tonnes of grape marc (GM) worldwide. The diversion of this organic waste away from landfill and towards its use in the generation of renewable energy has been investigated. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of operational parameters relating to the treatment regime and inoculum source in the extraction of methane from GM under unmixed anaerobic conditions at 35 °C. The study entailed the recirculation of a previously acclimated sludge (120 days) as downstream inoculum, an increased loading volume (1.3 kg) and a low substrate-to-inoculum ratio (10:3 SIR). The results showed that an incorporation of accessible operational controls can effectively enhance cumulative methane yield (0.145 m3 CH4 kg−1 VS), corresponding to higher amounts of digestible organics converted. The calculated average volumetric methane productivity equalled 0.8802 L CH4 LWork−1 d−1 over 33.6 days whilst moderate pollutant removal (43.50% COD removal efficiency) was achieved. Molecular analyses identified Firmicutes and Bacteroidetes phyla as core organisms for hydrolytic and fermentative stages in trophic relationships with terminal electron acceptors from the methane-producing Methanosarcina genus. Economic projections established that the cost-effective operational enhancements were sustainable for valorisation from grape marc by existing wineries and distilleries.  相似文献
