N,N',N' '-Trihydroxyisocianuric acid (THICA) was found to be a very efficient catalyst for the oxidation of alkylbenzenes with dioxygen. Thus, a variety of meta- and para-substituted toluenes bearing an electron-withdrawing substituent such as cyanotoluene, chlorotoluene, and toluic acid under O(2) (1 atm) in the presence of THICA (5 mol %) and Co(OAc)(2) (0.5 mol %) at 100 degrees C were smoothly oxidized to the corresponding benzoic acids in almost quantitative yields. The aerobic oxidation of toluene by THICA was compared with that by N-hydroxyphthalimide. p-Xylene was efficiently oxidized by THICA to telephthalic acid in high yield (over 95%) under mild conditions.  相似文献

Chelation studies of cobalt(III) with 1,2 bis(beta-aminoethoxy)ethane N,N,N',N' sodium sulfonate triacetic acid (ASTA) were performed. The results showed the effectiveness of ASTA as a chelating agent by using: molar ratio, continuous variation and slope ratio methods. Stable complex 1∶1 was formed at pH from 6.0 to 10.5. Solutions of Co-ASTA chelate of different molar ratios at pH 6.5 and 8.0 were irradiated by different gamma-radiation doses. The results showed a linear decrease of absorbance with gamma-radiation dose which can be utilized as a dosimeter for low dose rate measurement in the range studied. A proposed radiolytic mechanism is discussed. The degradation of the ASTA ligand has been related to hydroxyl radical attack.  相似文献

Preparation of the chelating agent, 1-(p-nitrophenyl)ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetra-acetic acid (p-nitrophenylEDTA), is described in detail. Separation of p-nitrophenylEDTA chelates of ytterbium(III), erbium(III), dysprosium(III) and europium(III) has been achieved by reversed-phase ion-pair liquid chromatography. With spectrophotometric detection at 254 nm, linear responses over about four orders of magnitude were achieved with detection limits (S/N = 2) of about 0.5 pmole.  相似文献

N,N,N',N'-Tetrabutyladipicamide (TBAA) was used for the extraction of nitric acid and uranyl(II) ion from nitric acid media into toluene. The effects of nitric acid, uranyl(II) ion, and extractant concentration, temperature and back extraction on the distribution coefficient of uranyl(II) ion have been studied. The main adduct of TBAA and HNO3 is TBAA·HNO3 in 1.0 mol/l nitric acid solution. The 1:2:2 complex of uranyl(II) ion, nitrate ion and TBAA as extracted species is further confirmed by IR spectra of the extraction of uranyl(II) ion with TBAA. The values of the thermodynamic parameters have also been calculated.  相似文献

By condensation of symmetrical malonic acid diamides with dichloromethane (method a) and with paraform (method b) N,N',N',N'-substituted amides of 1,1,3,3-propanetetracarboxylic acid were synthesized. Better yields of the target products (68-80%) and the use of less toxic reagents indicate that method b is more feasible. The primary pharmacological screening revealed that the compounds obtained possess pronounced anticonvulsant activity at moderate toxicity.  相似文献

N,N*,N',N'-Ethylenediaminetetra(methylenephosphonic) acid is used as a titrant for the direct determination of Cu, Co and Ni, with murexide as indicator. Indirect titrimetric procedures are suggested for the determination of silver, mercury, zinc and cyanide and both direct and indirect methods are applied for the analysis of binary mixtures of silver (or mercury) and copper (cobalt or nickel). The stoichiometry of the reaction, interferences of some metal ions and the pH effects on the complexation reactions are discussed. The values of the equilibrium constants of the protonated CuH(n)L (n = 1, 2, 3 and 4) as well as the unprotonated CuL chelates have been measured.  相似文献

A potentiometric investigation of the acid dissociation constants of the octabasic ENTMP [N,N,N',N'-ethylenediaminetetra(methylenephosphonic) acid] is reported. The stability constants of protonated MH(n)L (n = 1, 2, 3 and 4) and unprotonated ML metal chelates of Mg, Ca, Ba and Cd with ENTMP have been measured. Zirconia beads (25-38 microm in diameter) were modified with N,N,N'.N'-ethylenediaminetetramethylenephosphonic acid to generate a pseudo-biospecific support, r_PEZ. To better understand the force of interaction between the IgG and the r_PEZ, the equilibrium dissociation constant (Kd) was determined by static binding isotherms, as a function of temperature and by frontal analysis at different linear velocities. Temperature had no significant impact on the maximum static binding capacity (Q(max)) and the equilibrium-binding constant (Kd), whereas pH and the salt concentration had a noticeable impact on both Q(max) and Kd values. Q(max) was found to be in the range of 55-65 mg IgG per ml of beads and unaffected by temperature. The maximum dynamic binding capacity (Qx) was found to be in the range of 20-12 mg IgG per ml of beads. The adsorption rate constant (ka) was determined by a split-peak approach to be between 982 and 32421 mol(-1) s(-1) depending on the linear velocity. Adsorption rate of IgG on r_PEZ was studied as a function of both feed concentration and linear velocity. The standard enthalpy and entropy values were estimated for the interaction of IgG with this novel support. The binding constants were also determined by modeling the batch protein-uptake data.  相似文献

In this study, the kinetic behaviors of four lanthanide ions, Sm(3+), Dy(3+), Yb(3+) and Lu(3+), when mixed with a polyazamacrocyclic chelating agent 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-N,N',N",N"'-tetraacetic acid (DOTA), were investigated by capillary electrophoresis (CE) in the pH range of 2.0-6.0. At pH 2.0, the formation rate of DOTA-metal complex is extremely low as very little complex was detected after 5 days reaction, whereas almost no free DOTA was found in the mixture of metal ion and DOTA after 4 min at pH 6.0. The second-order kinetic association rate constants of the four lanthanide ions chelates at pH 4.2 were calculated as 1.44 x 10(-2) mM(-1)min(-1), 5.20 x 10(-2) mM(-1)min(-1), 4.56 x 10(-2) mM(-1)min(-1) and 4.54 x 10(-2) mM(-1)min(-1) at 25 degrees C with CE, respectively. In addition, the stability constants of the four lanthanide ions with DOTA were determined by CE at pH 3.0 where approximately 80-90% of the metal ions were associated with DOTA at 25 degrees C. The measured stability constants (log K(f)) of the four DOTA-metal complexes were 23.36, 23.93, 23.39 and 23.06, respectively, and correlated well with published data obtained by different methods. The percentage of metal ion bound with DOTA was evaluated as a function of reactant concentration in pH 6.0 buffer. After adding excess strong acid (0.1 M HCl) to each solution of DOTA-metal was formed at pH 6.0, no released DOTA was detected after 24 h; thus, dissociation of these lanthanide complexes did not occur under strongly acidic conditions. The Ln(DOTA)(-) species for the four DOTA-metal complexes were characterized by electrospray ionization-mass spectroscopy (ESI-MS), and the results correlated with proposed structures.  相似文献

The extraction behavior of N,N,N',N'-tetrabutylmalonamide (TBMA) employing toluene as diluent toward Dy(III) has been investigated. The effect of the concentrations of nitric acid, lithium nitrate and extractant and also of the temperature on the distribution ratio has been studied. The stoichiometry found for the Dy(III) extracted species suggests a structure such as Dy(NO3)3 .3TBMA. The stability constants of the complexes formed between the anion of 1,6-hexamethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetra(methylenephosphonic) acid and some transition and non-transition metal ions have been measured potentiometrically at a temperature of 25 degrees and an ionic strength of 0.1M (KNO(3)). The acid dissociation constants of the ligand and stability constants of the protonated complexes are also reported. Comparisons are made with the acid dissociation constants of the analogous compounds EDTA, ENTMP and HDTA, and possible structural formulae are given.  相似文献

We report quantum mechanics calculations (B3LYP flavor of density functional theory) to determine the chemical reaction mechanism underlying the hypergolic reaction of pure HNO(3) with N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) and N,N,N',N'-tetramethylmethylenediamine (TMMDA). TMEDA and TMMDA are dimethyl amines linked by two CH(2) groups or one CH(2) group, respectively, but ignite very differently with HNO(3). We explain this dramatic difference in terms of the role that N lone-pair electrons play in activating adjacent chemical bonds. We identify two key atomistic level factors that affect the ignition delay: (1) The exothermicity for formation of the dinitrate salt from TMEDA or TMMDA. With only a single CH(2) group between basic amines, the diprotonation of TMMDA results in much stronger electrostatic repulsion, reducing the heat of dinitrate salt formation by 6.3 kcal/mol. (2) The reaction of NO(2) with TMEDA or TMMDA, which is the step that releases the heat and reactive species required to propagate the reaction. Two factors of TMEDA promote the kinetics by providing routes with low barriers to oxidize the C: (a) formation of a stable intermediate with a C-C double bond and (b) the lower bond energy for breaking the C-C single bond (by 18 kcal/mol comparing to alkane) between two amines. Both factors would decrease the ignition delay for TMEDA versus TMMDA. The same factors also explain the shorter ignition delay of 1,4-dimethylpiperazine (DMPipZ) versus 1,3,5-trimethylhexahydro-1,3,5-triazine (TMTZ). These results indicate that TMEDA and DMPipZ are excellent green replacements for hydrazines as the fuel in bipropellants.  相似文献

A hydrogen ion-selective solid-contact electrode based on N,N,N',N'-tetrabenzylethanediamine has shown the best Nernstian slope and selectivity and the widest response range in a Tris buffered pH sample solution. Its linear dynamic range was pH 3.50-11.94, and the Nernstian slope showed 52.1 mV/pH (at 20 +/- 0.2 degrees C). When it was directly applied to human whole blood (in pH range 6.0-8.5) we could obtain the same satisfying results. This electrode continuously contacted a Tris 7.47 buffered solution, human whole blood and a hydrofluoric acid solution for one month without any loss of performance. Also, hydrofluoric acid did not influence the surface of this electrode, and thus it was maintained without showing any changes in potentials after being used in a hydrofluoric acid solution. The standard deviation in the determined e.m.f. differences was 1.5 mV (N = 5) for Tris buffer solutions of pH 6.5 and 1.1 mV at a Tris buffer solutions of pH 8.5. The 90% response time of the electrodes obtained by injecting of hydrochloric acid into the Tris buffer sample solution was less than 10 s. Especially, in the this paper, with these potential response characteristics of hydrogen ion selective poly(aniline) solid contact electrode, we have also presented the pH response mechanism of this electrode and the role of poly(aniline) and a doped anion in a poly(aniline) layer.  相似文献

Abstract

The reaction of lithium derivatives of N,N,N',N'-tetramethyldiamides of arylmethanephosphonic acids (1-Li) with aldehydes 2 is studied. It is found that under certain reaction conditions (THF, 5 hrs at -70°C and then allowing to warm to room temperature) the aldol stage of the reaction is highly stereoselective, only erythro adducts (2-hydroxyphosphonamides) 3, 4 being formed in 47–75% yields. By heating of 3 and 4 in neutral medium the corresponding (Z)-olefins 5, 6 are obtained (yields 64–74%). It is established that an acid catalyzed olefination of 2-hydroxyphosphonamides is also possible, but the reaction is not stereospecific.  相似文献

In 0.01 M 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (Hepes), pH 7.4 and room temperature, the binding of neodymium to N,N'-ethylenebis[2-(o-hydroxyphenolic)glycine] (EHPG), or N,N'-di(2-hydroxybenzyl)ethylenediamine-N,N' diacetic acid (HBED) had been studied from 210 to 330 nm by means of difference UV spectra. Two peaks at 240 and 292 nm appear in difference UV spectra after neodymium binding to EHPG or HBED. The 1:1 stable complex can be confirmed from spectral titration curves. The molar extinction coefficient of Nd-EHPG and Nd-HBED complexes are Deltaepsilon(Nd-EHPG)=(12.93+/-0.21) x 10(3)cm(-1)M(-1), Deltaepsilon(Nd-HBED)=(14.45+/-0.51) x 10(5)cm(-1)M(-1) at 240 nm, respectively. Using EDTA as a competitor, the conditional equilibrium constants of the complexes are logK(Nd-EHPG)=11.89+/-0.09 and logK(Nd-HBED)=12.19+/-0.15, respectively. At the same conditions, fluorescence measurements show that neodymium binding to EHPG leads to a quenching of the fluorescence of EHPG at near 310 nm. However, there is no obvious fluorescence change of HBED at 318 nm with the binding of neodymium to HBED.  相似文献

The proton and metal complex equilibria of trans-cyclohexane-1,2-diamine-N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(methylenephosphonic acid) (CDTP) with lanthanide(iii) ions, where Ln(III) = La(III), Nd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III), Gd(III), Tb(III), Ho(III) and Lu(III) were studied. The stoichiometry, protonation and complex formation constants were determined by potentiometric titration at 25.0 degrees C and ionic strength of 0.1 mol dm(-3) (KCl). All metal ions form several species: [LnH4L]-, [LnH3L](2-), [LnH2L](3-), [LnHL](4-), [LnL](5-), [LnH(-1)L](6-) and [LnH(-2)L](7-) in the pH range between 2 and 11. The stability constants log beta(LnL) were found to be between 14.7 and 16.7. The studied complexes were also characterized by spectroscopic methods (31P NMR, UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopy). These studies allowed to reveal a distinct structural change of the Ln(III)-CDTP complex which occurs between protonated and hydroxy species in solutions at pH around 7.5. The major change is caused by the involvement of both nitrogen donors in the metal ion coordination occurring in ML species. The data obtained from UV-Vis spectroscopy allowed to draw conclusions about complex symmetry and to estimate a number of coordinated water molecules. The hydration number or more precisely the number of two OH oscillators was found to be approximately one in all species formed over the pH range between 5 and 10. The structure of the major hydroxy complex was supported by X-ray crystallographic data. The crystal structures of the Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes clearly show that the CDTP ligand is coordinated to the Ln(III) ion by two nitrogen and four oxygen atoms in such a way that only one oxygen atom from each phosphonic group is placed in the lanthanide inner sphere. The monomeric complex anion is connected to a symmetry related ion through short hydrogen bonds formed by two hydroxy ions and one water molecule. In this way the two neighbouring anions form a quasi-dimer in which one of the Ln(III) ion is seven-coordinate (two N atoms, four O atoms and one hydroxy ion) and the other is eight-coordinate (two N atoms, four O atoms, one hydroxy ion and one water molecule).  相似文献

A convenient six-step procedure is developed to routinely prepare the hexadentate ligand cis,cis-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane-N,N',N"-triacetic acid (H3tachta) as an HCl salt. Complexes of gallium(III) and indium(III), [Ga(tachta)] and [In(tachta)], are synthesized from the reactions of the ligand and the corresponding metal precursors. Copper(II), palladium(II), and cobalt(II) complexes, [Cu(Htachta)], [Pd(Htachta)], and [Co(Htachta)], are obtained from the reactions of H3tachta with the corresponding metal chlorides. The structures of H3tachta.3HCl.2H2O (C12H28Cl3N3O8) and [Ga(tachta)] (C12H18GaN3O6) are characterized. The crystal of H3tachta.3HCl.2H2O is monoclinic, of the space group P2(1)/c, with a = 15.1688(4) A, b = 8.4708(2) A, c = 15.9408(2) A, beta = 108.058(1) degrees, and Z = 4; that of [Ga(tachta)] is cubic, of space group Pa3, with a = 14.0762(1) A and Z = 8. The gallium atom of [Ga(tachta)] is six-coordinated in the solid state, and the complex assumes a pseudooctahedronal geometry with the completely deprotonated hexadentate ligand encapsulating the metal ion.  相似文献

H(+)-ion selective electrodes (H(+)-ISE) based on N,N,N',N'-tetrabenzylalkylenediamine (alkylene: methylene, ethylene, propylene, hexylene) are prepared. We are compared with their response potentials to carbon numbers between diamino groups. They were showed linear selective to hydrogen ion in the range of pH 1.5-9.0, 2.5-9.0, 3.5-9.0 and 4.0-9.0, and their Nernstian slopes were 57.3, 53.5, 57.4 and 56.1 mV pH(-1) at 20+/-0.2 degrees C (theoretical value: 58.2 mV pH(-1)), respectively. The interference effect on the cations were measured to alkali metal ions, alkaline earth metals ions. Selectivity coefficients were measured by the mixed-solution method. Among all electrodes the N,N,N',N'-tetrabenzylmethylenediamine (TBMDA)-based electrode has shown the best selectivity in acidic solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we report the reactivity of fluoro-N,N,N',N'-tetramethylformamidinium hexafluorophosphate (TFFH), a reagent for transformation of carboxylic acids into acid fluorides in solution, toward self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of 16-mercaptohexadecanoic acid on gold. Contrary to the solution-based reactions, we found that only interchain carboxylic anhydrides (ICAs), not acid fluorides (AFs), were obtained at surfaces by the facile interchain reaction under most reaction conditions studied. AFs were found to be formed only when tetrabutylammonium fluoride, a reagent inducing fast decomposition of ICAs, was added to the reaction mixture. The reactivity of TFFH toward carboxylic acid-terminated SAMs was different from that of cyanuric fluoride, which has been reported previously (Langmuir 2005, 21, 11765-11772). This study provides more insight into the role of the proximity effect in SAM-based reactions as well as another approach to the formation of ICAs from carboxylic acid-terminated SAMs.  相似文献
