La2CuO4+y single crystals with y=0.03 and 0.04 are investigated with a high-resolution neutron diffractometer in the temperature range 10<T<293 K. Althouogh the excess oxygen concentration y falls in the range of the dissolution gap, the crystal with y=0.03 does not undergo phase separation (PS)—the oxygen distribution in this crystal remains uniform over the entire experimental temperature interval. Macroscopic PS is observed in the crystal with y=0.04. An analysis of the dependence of the widths of the reflection orders on the interplanar separation gives the sizes of the coherent regions of the two coexisting phases: (970±30) Å in the direction of the tetragonal axis c and (1460 645) Å in the basal plane.  相似文献

9 to 1013 particles/cm2 have been investigated by the deep level transient spectroscopy technique and capacitance-voltage profiling. Under low fluence irradiation at least four main electron traps have been observed. With further increase in irradiation fluence, two new levels located at Ec-0.56 eV and Ec-0.64 eV appear on the high-temperature side of the DLTS signal. The slope change observed in the amplitude variations of the singly negative charge state of the divacancy versus the dose takes place when these two new levels appear. This suggests that both are multivacancy-related defects. After annealing at 350 °C for 15 min, all electron traps have disappeared. Moreover, no shallow levels are created during the annealing. Measurements of the differential magnetic susceptibility are performed to study the changes in the magnetic properties of La2CuO4+x due to oxygen doping in the concentration interval 0<x<0.011. For crystals with 0.005<x<0.011, a ferromagnetic-type phase transition is observed at T c >T N , and it occurs even in crystals with T N ~0. The concentration dependence of the transition temperature T c (x) is obtained.  相似文献

The phase seperation effect in La2CuO4.015 single crystal has been studied by magnetic susceptibility and EPR experiments. The experiments confirm the percolative phase separation model based on the concept of magnetic polarons formed by hole doping. It has been shown that the superconducting subphase has specific spatial structure which is responsible for unconventional low temperature behavior of susceptibility. The EPR signal as well as the paramagnetic contribution to the lowtemperature susceptibility have been shown to arise from isolated Cu2+ ions located inside the phase domain walls.  相似文献

The changes produced in the magnetic properties and structure of La2CuO4+x (0< x<0.015) single crystals by doping with oxygen are investigated by differential magnetic susceptibility and x-ray diffraction methods. Magnetic susceptibility x of La2CuO4 crystals have been measured with external magnetic field perpendicular to and within the c plane. A kind of ordering or condensation of the spin system with the spin direction parallel to the c axis has been found although it is difficult to consistently explain all of the observed behaviors. Even above the ordering temperature (⋍ 250K), uniaxial anisotropy of x has also been observed.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the spin-lattice relaxation of rare-earth ions (RE3+) are investigated in YLiF4 single crystals. The EPR spectra of Er3+ and Dy3+ are detected and studied at the excited levels of the ground terms. The results on the nonlinear longitudinal response (second order uniform dynamic susceptibility χ2(ω)) of two moderately doped La2CuO4+x single crystals in the temperature region of the phase separation of extra oxygen are reported. Large 2D-fragments (I≈7·103 Å) of stoichiometric La2CuO4 are shown to be responsible for the signal in sample withT ps>-T N≈243 K. The signal of the crystal withT ps<T N≈272 K is due to oxygen-rich phase. Its peculiarities are related either to change and destruction of magnetic ordering in the course of the phase separation or to the ordering of the extra oxygen.  相似文献

The effect of an external magnetic field with a strength up to 140 kOe on the phase transitions in manganese arsenide single crystals has been investigated. The existence of unstable magnetic and crystal structures at temperatures above the Curie temperature T C = 308 K has been established. The displacements of manganese and arsenic atoms during the magnetostructural phase transition and the shift in the temperature of the first-order magnetostructural phase transition in a magnetic field have been determined. It has been shown that the magnetocaloric effect in a magnetic field of 140 kOe near the Curie temperature T C is equal to ??T ?? 13 K. A model of the superparamagnetic state in MnAs above the temperature T C has been proposed using the data on the magnetic properties and structural transformation in the region of the first-order magnetostructural phase transition. It has been demonstrated that, at temperatures close to T C, apart from the contribution to the change in the entropy from the change in the magnetization there is a significant contribution from the transformation of the crystal lattice due to the magnetostructural phase transition.  相似文献

LiF single crystals with copper impurity (0.0004–0.002%) have been grown by the Czochralski method and investigated. The luminescence, excitation, and optical absorption spectra have been recorded. The luminescence spectrum contains a band at 450 nm upon 250-nm excitation. This band is attributed to Cu+ centers in the samples grown. The mechanisms of capture and recombination during thermoluminescence are considered.  相似文献

We investigated the in-plane magnetoresistance and the Hall effect of high-quality Bi2Sr2CuOx single crystals with T c (midpoint) = 3.7–9.6 K in dc magnetic fields up to 23 T. For T < 10 K, the crystals show the classical positive magnetoresistance. Starting at T ≈ 14 K, an anomalous negative magnetoresistance appears at low magnetic fields; for T ≥ 40 K, the magnetoresistance is negative in the whole studied range of magnetic fields. Temperature and magnetic field dependences of the negative-magnetoresistance single crystals are qualitatively consistent with the electron interaction theory developed for simple semiconductors and disordered metals. As is observed in other cuprate superconductors, the Hall resistivity is negative in the mixed state and changes its sign with increasing field. The linear T-dependence of cotθH for the Hall angle in the normal state closely resembles that of the normal-state resistivity as expected for a Fermi liquid picture.  相似文献

It is inferred from the position of the 2Δ peak in the electron light scattering spectra that in a sample with high T c ≈90 K the ratio 2Δ/T c is approximately equal to 6 and 7 for different polarizations, while in overdoped samples with T c ≈40 and 35 K the 2Δ peak is observed only in xy′ polarization with a substantially lower ratio 2Δ/T c ≈3.2. With decreasing T c in Tl2Ba2CuO6+x crystals, a transition occurs from strong to weak coupling; the superconducting gap remains anisotropic at different doping levels. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor.
