Stickelberger–Swan Theorem is an important tool for determining parity of the number of irreducible factors of a given polynomial. Based on this theorem, we prove in this note that every affine polynomial A(x) over ${\mathbb{F}_2}$ with degree >1, where A(x) = L(x) + 1 and ${L(x)=\sum_{i=0}^{n}{x^{2^i}}}$ is a linearized polynomial over ${\mathbb{F}_2}$ , is reducible except x 2 + x + 1 and x 4 + x + 1. We also give some explicit factors of some special affine pentanomials over ${\mathbb{F}_2}$ .  相似文献

We study limit behavior for sums of the form $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_{L|}}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_{L}}u(t,x),$ where the field $\Lambda_L=\left\{x\in {\bf{Z^d}}:|x|\le L\right\}$ is composed of solutions of the parabolic Anderson equation $$u(t,x) = 1 + \kappa \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t} \Delta u(s,x){\rm d}s + \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t}u(s,x)\partial B_{x}(s). $$ The index set is a box in Z d , namely $\Lambda_{L} = \left\{x\in {\bf Z}^{\bf d} : |x| \leq L\right\}$ and L = L(t) is a nondecreasing function $L : [0,\infty)\rightarrow {\bf R}^{+}. $ We identify two critical parameters $\eta(1) < \eta(2)$ such that for $\gamma > \eta(1)$ and L(t) = eγ t , the sums $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ satisfy a law of large numbers, or put another way, they exhibit annealed behavior. For $\gamma > \eta(2)$ and L(t) = eγ t , one has $\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ when properly normalized and centered satisfies a central limit theorem. For subexponential scales, that is when $\lim_{t \rightarrow \infty} \frac{1}{t}\ln L(t) = 0,$ quenched asymptotics occur. That means $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln\left (\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)\right) = \gamma(\kappa),$ where $\gamma(\kappa)$ is the almost sure Lyapunov exponent, i.e. $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln u(t,x)= \gamma(\kappa).$ We also examine the behavior of $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ for L = e γ t with γ in the transition range $(0,\eta(1))$   相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{L}(X)}$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on X and ${\mathcal{P}S(X)}$ be the class of polaroid operators with the single-valued extension property. The property (gw) holds for ${T \in \mathcal{L}(X)}$ if the complement in the approximate point spectrum of the semi-B-essential approximate point spectrum coincides with the set of all isolated points of the spectrum which are eigenvalues of the spectrum. In this note we focus on the stability of the property (gw) under perturbations: we prove that, if ${T \in \mathcal{P}S(X)}$ and A (resp. Q) is an algebraic (resp. quasinilpotent) operator, then the property (gw) holds for f(T *A *) (resp. f(T *Q*)) for every analytic function f in σ(TA) (resp. σ(TQ)). Some applications are also given.  相似文献

Let A be a strongly elliptic operator of order 2m in divergence form with Hölder continuous coefficients of exponent ${\sigma \in (0,1)}$ defined in a uniformly C 1+σ domain Ω of ${\mathbb{R}^n}$ . Regarding A as an operator from the Hölder space of order m +  σ associated with the Dirichlet data to the Hölder space of order ?m +  σ, we show that the inverse (A ? λ)?1 exists for λ in a suitable angular region of the complex plane and estimate its operator norms. As an application, we give a regularity theorem for elliptic equations.  相似文献

In the present study, we consider isometric immersions ${f : M \rightarrow \tilde{M}(c)}$ of (2n + 1)-dimensional invariant submanifold M 2n+1 of (2m + 1) dimensional Sasakian space form ${\tilde{M}^{2m+1}}$ of constant ${ \varphi}$ -sectional curvature c. We have shown that if f satisfies the curvature condition ${\overset{\_}{R}(X, Y) \cdot \sigma =Q(g, \sigma)}$ then either M 2n+1 is totally geodesic, or ${||\sigma||^{2}=\frac{1}{3}(2c+n(c+1)),}$ or ${||\sigma||^{2}(x) > \frac{1}{3}(2c+n(c+1)}$ at some point x of M 2n+1. We also prove that ${\overset{\_ }{R}(X, Y)\cdot \sigma = \frac{1}{2n}Q(S, \sigma)}$ then either M 2n+1 is totally geodesic, or ${||\sigma||^{2}=-\frac{2}{3}(\frac{1}{2n}\tau -\frac{1}{2}(n+2)(c+3)+3)}$ , or ${||\sigma||^{2}(x) > -\frac{2}{3}(\frac{1}{2n} \tau (x)-\frac{1}{2} (n+2)(c+3)+3)}$ at some point x of M 2n+1.  相似文献

We prove uniqueness of ground state solutions Q = Q(|x|) ≥ 0 of the non-linear equation $$(-\Delta)^s Q+Q-Q^{\alpha+1}= 0 \quad {\rm in} \, \mathbb{R},$$ ( ? Δ ) s Q + Q ? Q α + 1 = 0 i n R , where 0 < s < 1 and 0 < α < 4s/(1?2s) for ${s<\frac{1}{2}}$ s < 1 2 and 0 < α <  for ${s\geq \frac{1}{2}}$ s ≥ 1 2 . Here (?Δ) s denotes the fractional Laplacian in one dimension. In particular, we answer affirmatively an open question recently raised by Kenig–Martel–Robbiano and we generalize (by completely different techniques) the specific uniqueness result obtained by Amick and Toland for ${s=\frac{1}{2}}$ s = 1 2 and α = 1 in [5] for the Benjamin–Ono equation. As a technical key result in this paper, we show that the associated linearized operator L + = (?Δ) s +1?(α+1)Q α is non-degenerate; i.e., its kernel satisfies ker L + = span{Q′}. This result about L + proves a spectral assumption, which plays a central role for the stability of solitary waves and blowup analysis for non-linear dispersive PDEs with fractional Laplacians, such as the generalized Benjamin–Ono (BO) and Benjamin–Bona–Mahony (BBM) water wave equations.  相似文献

The existence of a global branch of positive spherically symmetric solutions ${\{(\lambda,u(\lambda)):\lambda\in(0,\infty)\}}$ of the semilinear elliptic equation $$\Delta u - \lambda u + V(x)|u|^{p-1}u = 0 \quad \text{in}\,\mathbb{R}^N\,\text{with}\,N\geq3$$ is proved for ${1 < p < 1+\frac{4-2b}{N-2}}$ , where ${b\in(0,2)}$ is such that the radial function V vanishes at infinity like |x|?b . V is allowed to be singular at the origin but not worse than |x|?b . The mapping ${\lambda\mapsto u(\lambda)}$ is of class ${C^r((0,\infty),H^1(\mathbb{R}^N))}$ if ${V\in C^r(\mathbb{R}^N\setminus\{0\},\mathbb{R})}$ , for r = 0, 1. Further properties of regularity and decay at infinity of solutions are also established. This work is a natural continuation of previous results by Stuart and the author, concerning the existence of a local branch of solutions of the same equation for values of the bifurcation parameter λ in a right neighbourhood of λ = 0. The variational structure of the equation is deeply exploited and the global continuation is obtained via an implicit function theorem.  相似文献

We prove optimal high-frequency resolvent estimates for self-adjoint operators of the form ${G=\left(i\nabla+b(x)\right)^2+V(x)}$ on ${L^2({\bf R}^n), n\ge 3}$ , where the magnetic potential b(x) and the electric potential V(x) are long-range and large. As an application, we prove dispersive estimates for the wave group ${{\rm e}^{it\sqrt{G}}}$ in the case n = 3 for potentials b(x), V(x) = O(|x|?2-δ ) for ${|x|\gg 1}$ , where δ > 0.  相似文献

Two problems are posed that involve the star-invariant subspace ${K^{p}_{\theta}}$ (in the Hardy space H p ) associated with an inner function ${\theta}$ . One of these asks for a characterization of the extreme points of the unit ball in ${K^{\infty}_{\theta}}$ , while the other concerns the Fermat equation f n g n h n in ${K^{p}_{\theta}}$ .  相似文献

In a recent paper (Barros, Sousa in: Kodai Math. J. 2009) the authors proved that closed oriented non-totally geodesic minimal hypersurfaces of the Euclidean unit sphere have index of stability greater than or equal to n + 3 with equality occurring at only Clifford tori provided their second fundamental forms A satisfy the pinching: |A|2n. The natural generalization for this pinching is ?(r + 2)S r+2 ≥ (n ? r)S r  > 0. Under this condition we shall extend such result for closed oriented hypersurface Σ n of the Euclidean unit sphere ${\mathbb{S}^{n+1}}$ with null S r+1 mean curvature by showing that the index of r-stability, ${Ind_{\Sigma^n}^{r}}$ , also satisfies ${Ind_{\Sigma^n}^{r}\ge n+3}$ . Instead of the previous hypothesis if we consider ${\frac{S_{r+2}}{{S_r}}}$ constant we have the same conclusion. Moreover, we shall prove that, up to Clifford tori, closed oriented hypersurfaces ${\Sigma^{n}\subset \mathbb{S}^{n+1}}$ with S r+1 = 0 and S r+2 < 0 have index of r-stability greater than or equal to 2n + 5.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{F}}$ be a family of holomorphic functions defined in a domain ${\mathcal{D}}$ , let k( ≥ 2) be a positive integer, and let S = {a, b}, where a and b are two distinct finite complex numbers. If for each ${f \in \mathcal{F}}$ , all zeros of f(z) are of multiplicity at least k, and f and f (k) share the set S in ${\mathcal{D}}$ , then ${\mathcal{F}}$ is normal in ${\mathcal{D}}$ . As an application, we prove a uniqueness theorem.  相似文献

Let G be a connected graph. The notion of rainbow connection number rc(G) of a graph G was introduced by Chartrand et al. (Math Bohem 133:85–98, 2008). Basavaraju et al. (arXiv:1011.0620v1 [math.CO], 2010) proved that for every bridgeless graph G with radius r, ${rc(G)\leq r(r+2)}$ and the bound is tight. In this paper, we show that for a connected graph G with radius r and center vertex u, if we let D r  = {u}, then G has r?1 connected dominating sets ${ D^{r-1}, D^{r-2},\ldots, D^{1}}$ such that ${D^{r} \subset D^{r-1} \subset D^{r-2} \cdots\subset D^{1} \subset D^{0}=V(G)}$ and ${rc(G)\leq \sum_{i=1}^{r} \max \{2i+1,b_i\}}$ , where b i is the number of bridges in E[D i , N(D i )] for ${1\leq i \leq r}$ . From the result, we can get that if ${b_i\leq 2i+1}$ for all ${1\leq i\leq r}$ , then ${rc(G)\leq \sum_{i=1}^{r}(2i+1)= r(r+2)}$ ; if b i  > 2i + 1 for all ${1\leq i\leq r}$ , then ${rc(G)= \sum_{i=1}^{r}b_i}$ , the number of bridges of G. This generalizes the result of Basavaraju et al. In addition, an example is given to show that there exist infinitely graphs with bridges whose rc(G) is only dependent on the radius of G, and another example is given to show that there exist infinitely graphs with bridges whose rc(G) is only dependent on the number of bridges in G.  相似文献

This paper relates the multiple point spaces in the source and target of a corank 1 map-germ ${(\mathbb {C}^n, 0)\to(\mathbb {C}^{n+1}, 0)}$ . Let f be such a map-germ, and, for 1 ≤ k ≤ multiplicity( f ), let D k ( f ) be its k’th multiple point scheme – the closure of the set of ordered k-tuples of pairwise distinct points sharing the same image. There are natural projections D k+1( f ) → D k ( f ), determined by forgetting one member of the (k + 1)-tuple. We prove that the matrix of a presentation of ${\mathcal {O}_{D^{k+1}(f)}}$ over ${\mathcal {O}_{D^k(f)}}$ appears as a certain submatrix of the matrix of a suitable presentation of ${\mathcal {O}_{\mathbb {C}^n,0}}$ over ${\mathcal {O}_{\mathbb {C}^{n+1},0}}$ . This does not happen for germs of corank > 1.  相似文献

Given \({\varphi\in \verb"C"^2(\textbf{C}^n)}\) satisfying \({dd^{c}\varphi\simeq \omega_0}\) , 0 < p < ∞, let \({F^p(\varphi)}\) be the generalized Fock space of all holomorphic functions f on \({{\mathbf C}^n}\) for which the Fock norm $$\|f\|_{p, \varphi}=\left(\,\int_{{\mathbf C}^n} \left|f(z)\right|^{p}e^ {-p\varphi(z)}dv(z)\right)^{\frac{1}{p}} < \infty. $$ While \({\varphi(z)=\frac{1}{2}|z|^2}\) , \({F^{p}(\varphi)}\) is the classical Fock space F p . In this paper, for all possible 0 < p,q < ∞ we characterize those positive Borel measures μ on \({{\mathbf C}^n}\) for which the induced Toeplitz operators T μ are bounded (or compact) from one generalized Fock spaces \({F^p(\varphi)}\) to another \({F^q(\varphi)}\) . With symbols \({g\in BMO}\) , we obtain Zorborska’s criterion for boundedness (or compactness) of Toeplitz operators T g on F p , our work extends the known results on F 2. Toeplitz operators on p-th Fock space with 0 < p < 1 have not been studied before, even in the simplest case that \({\varphi(z)=\frac{1}{2}|z|^2}\) . Our analysis shows a significant difference between Bergman spaces and Fock spaces.  相似文献

A residual existence theorem for linear equations   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A residual existence theorem for linear equations is proved: if ${A \in \mathbb{R}^{m\times n}}$ , ${b \in \mathbb{R}^{m}}$ and if X is a finite subset of ${\mathbb{R}^{n}}$ satisfying ${{\rm max}_{x \in X}p^T(Ax-b) \geq 0}$ for each ${p \in \mathbb{R}^{m}}$ , then the system of linear equations Axb has a solution in the convex hull of X. An application of this result to unique solvability of the absolute value equation Ax + B|x| = b is given.  相似文献

This work is closed to [2] where a dense linear subspace \(\mathbb{E}\) (E) of the space ?(E) of the Silva C functions on E is defined; the dual of \(\mathbb{E}\) (E) is described via the Fourier transform by a Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem which is formulated exactly in the same way as in the finite dimensional case. Here we prove existence and approximation result for solutions of linear partial differential difference equations in \(\mathbb{E}\) (E) with constant coefficients. We also obtain a Hahn-Banach type extension theorem for some C functions defined on a closed subspace of a DFN space, which is analogous to a Boland’s result in the holomorphic case [1].  相似文献

Let ${U \subset \mathbb{R}^{N}}$ be a neighbourhood of the origin and a function ${F:U\rightarrow U}$ be of class C r , r ≥ 2, F(0) = 0. Denote by F n the n-th iterate of F and let ${0<|s_1|\leq \cdots \leq|s_N| <1 }$ , where ${s_1, \ldots , s_N}$ are the eigenvalues of dF(0). Assume that the Schröder equation ${\varphi(F(x))=S\varphi(x)}$ , where S: = dF(0) has a C 2 solution φ such that dφ(0) = id. If ${\frac{log|s_1|}{log|s_N|} <2 }$ then the sequence {S ?n F n (x)} converges for every point x from the basin of attraction of F to a C 2 solution φ of (1). If ${2\leq\frac{log|s_1|}{log|s_N|} }$ then this sequence can be diverging. In this case we give some sufficient conditions for the convergence and divergence of the sequence {S ?n F n (x)}. Moreover, we show that if F is of class C r and ${r>\big[\frac{log|s_1|}{log|s_N|} \big ]:=p \geq 2}$ then every C r solution of the Schröder equation such that dφ(0) = id is given by the formula $$\begin{array}{ll}\varphi (x)={\lim\limits_{n \rightarrow \infty}} (S^{-n}F^n(x) + {\sum\limits _{k=2}^{p}} S^{-n}L_k (F^n(x))),\end{array}$$ where ${L_k:\mathbb{R}^{N} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{N}}$ are some homogeneous polynomials of degree k, which are determined by the differentials d (j) F(0) for 1 < j ≤  p.  相似文献
