A technique for the recording of large sets of room impulse responses or head-related transfer functions is presented. The technique uses a microphone moving with constant speed. Given a setup (e.g., length of the room impulse response), a careful choice of the recording parameters (excitation signal, speed of movement) leads to the reconstruction of all impulse responses along the trajectory. In the case of a moving microphone along a circle, the maximal angular speed is given as a function of the length of the impulse response, its maximal temporal frequency, the speed of sound propagation, and the radius of the circle. As a result of the presented algorithm, head-related transfer functions sampled at 44.1 kHz can be measured at all angular positions along the horizontal plane in less than 1 s. The presented theory is compared with a real system implementation using a precision moving microphone holder. The practical setup is discussed together with its limitations. 相似文献

The decay function for the evaluation of the reverberation time is often obtained by the method of the backward integration of a squared room impulse response as suggested by M.R. Schroeder more than four decades ago. Since then much work has been published about its implementation. However, soon after the initial exploitation of the method, it was realized that the effects of the background noise contaminating the room impulse response required a careful consideration for accomplishing better results.This paper describes an alternative method dealing with the problem of the backward integration of noisy room impulse responses. This method is based on the processing of two impulse responses sequentially recorded for a fixed source and receiver arrangement in a room. Statistical criteria are proposed to identify how the effect of the noise corrupts the level decay curve using a noise-free synthesized room impulse response as well as measurements performed in a real room. 相似文献

The modal expansion method has been used to formulate expressions for real and imaginary parts of the complex sound intensity inside enclosures. Based on theoretical results, the computer program has been developed to simulate the acoustic intensity vector field inside the irregular room whose shape resembles the capital letter L. Calculation results have shown that a low-frequency distribution of the acoustic intensity is strongly influenced by the modal localization and the characteristic objects in the active intensity field are energy vortices and saddle points positioned irregularly inside the room. It was found that for small sound damping the vortex centers lie exactly on the lines corresponding to zeros of the eigenfunction for a dominant mode. An increase in a sound attenuation results in the change of vortex positions and can cause the formation of new vortices. Finally, an influence of the wall impedance on the quantitative relation between the acoustic and reactive intensities was studied and it was concluded that for very small sound damping the behavior of the sound intensity is basically only oscillatory. 相似文献

A method is presented of measuring the free field frequency and impulse response of microphones by using a pulse technique in an ordinary laboratory environment. The pressure transient generated by exciting a loudspeaker with a narrow pulse is detected at some point in the loudspeaker's far field by a “reference” microphone whose response is assumed flat over the frequency range of interest. The microphone to be tested is then substituted in exactly the same position and its response to the transient measured. The outputs of the two microphones are accurately sampled and deconvolved by using a discrete Fourier transform technique to give the magnitude and phase parts of the “test” microphone's frequency response, and hence, via the discrete Fourier transform, its response to a delta function of pressure propagating in the free field. The computed impulse responses are presented and the accuracy of the method discussed.To illustrate the use of the method, the free field frequency response and free field correction curves of a one inch instrumentation microphone are measured. The method is then used to measure the pressure which occurs at the centre of the flat end-face of a long a cylinder when excited by an impulse of acoustic pressure propagating in the free field from various angles of incidence. 相似文献

The methods investigated for the room volume estimation are based on geometrical acoustics, eigenmode, and diffuse field models and no data other than the room impulse response are available. The measurements include several receiver positions in a total of 12 rooms of vastly different sizes and acoustic characteristics. The limitations in identifying the pivotal specular reflections of the geometrical acoustics model in measured room impulse responses are examined both theoretically and experimentally. The eigenmode method uses the theoretical expression for the Schroeder frequency and the difficulty of accurately estimating this frequency from the varying statistics of the room transfer function is highlighted. Reliable results are only obtained with the diffuse field model and a part of the observed variance in the experimental results is explained by theoretical expressions for the standard deviation of the reverberant sound pressure and the reverberation time. The limitations due to source and receiver directivity are discussed and a simple volume estimation method based on an approximate relationship with the reverberation time is also presented. 相似文献

We carry out an ultra-low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment based on high-T c superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs). The measurement field is in a micro-tesla range (~10 μT-100 μT) and the experiment is conducted in a home-made magnetically-shielded-room (MSR). The measurements are performed by the indirect coupling method in which the signal of nuclei precession is indirectly coupled to the SQUID through a tuned copper coil transformer. In such an arrangement, the interferences of applied measurement and polarization field to the SQUID sensor are avoided and the performance of the SQUID is not destroyed. In order to compare the detection sensitivity obtained by using the SQUID with that achieved using a conventional low-noise-amplifier, we perform the measurements using a commercial room temperature amplifier. The results show that in a wide frequency range (~1 kHz-10 kHz) the measurements with the SQUID sensor exhibit a higher signal-to-noise ratio. Further, we discuss the dependence of NMR peak magnitude on measurement frequency. We attribute the reduction of the peak magnitude at high frequency to the increased field inhomogeneity as the measurement field increases. This is verified by compensating the field gradient using three sets of gradient coils. 相似文献

The measurement of room impulse response (RIR) when there are high background noise levels frequently means one must deal with very low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). If such is the case, the measurement might yield unreliable results, even when synchronous averaging techniques are used. Furthermore, if there are non-linearities in the apparatus or system time variances, the final SNR can be severely degraded. The test signals used in RIR measurement are often disturbed by non-stationary ambient noise components. A novel approach based on the energy analysis of ambient noise - both in the time and in frequency - was considered. A modified maximum length sequence (MLS) measurement technique, referred to herein as the hybrid MLS technique, was developed for use in room acoustics. The technique consists of reducing the noise energy of the captured sequences before applying the averaging technique in order to improve the overall SNRs and frequency response accuracy. Experiments were conducted under real conditions with different types of underlying ambient noises. Results are shown and discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of the hybrid MLS technique over standard MLS technique are evaluated and discussed. Our findings show that the new technique leads to a significant increase in the overall SNR. 相似文献

The problem of retrieving a complex function from the modulus of its Fourier transform has non-unique solutions in one dimension. Therefore iterative phase retrieval methods cannot in general be confidently applied to one-dimensional problems, due to the presence of ambiguities. We present a method for a posteriori reduction of the ambiguities based on the correlation analysis of the solution of a large number of runs of an iterative phase retrieval algorithm with different random starting phases. The method is applied to experimentally measured diffraction patterns from an x ray waveguide illuminated by hard x rays. We demonstrate the possibility of retrieving the complex wave field at the exit face of the waveguide and compare the result with theoretical prediction. 相似文献

在构建混响语声数据集时,由于缺乏真实长混响房间脉冲响应且模拟的房间脉冲响应与真实不符,因而导致数据驱动的混响时间盲估计模型性能下降。提出了一种基于条件生成对抗网络的房间脉冲响应模拟法,该方法利用真实的房间脉冲响应训练条件生成对抗网络,可以根据指定的混响时间模拟更加真实的房间脉冲响应。使用不同方法模拟的房间脉冲响应构建训练集用于训练盲估计模型,通过声学实验评估模型性能。实验结果表明,由该方法模拟的房间脉冲响应训练的估计模型在不同信噪比下均具有最小的均方根误差且在长混响情况下显著优于其他模型。 相似文献

Binaural room impulse responses (BRIRs) were measured in a classroom for sources at different azimuths and distances (up to 1 m) relative to a manikin located in four positions in a classroom. When the listener is far from all walls, reverberant energy distorts signal magnitude and phase independently at each frequency, altering monaural spectral cues, interaural phase differences, and interaural level differences. For the tested conditions, systematic distortion (comb-filtering) from an early intense reflection is only evident when a listener is very close to a wall, and then only in the ear facing the wall. Especially for a nearby source, interaural cues grow less reliable with increasing source laterality and monaural spectral cues are less reliable in the ear farther from the sound source. Reverberation reduces the magnitude of interaural level differences at all frequencies; however, the direct-sound interaural time difference can still be recovered from the BRIRs measured in these experiments. Results suggest that bias and variability in sound localization behavior may vary systematically with listener location in a room as well as source location relative to the listener, even for nearby sources where there is relatively little reverberant energy. 相似文献

For a magnetocardiography (MCG) system inside a magnetically shielded room (MSR), the residual field should be further suppressed to obtain high-quality MCG signals. In this paper, a compensation system has been developed based on the bi-planar coil and the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller. The bi-planar coil, derived from the target-field theory and the Tikhonov regularization method, is utilized to generate magnetic field with high uniformity in the pre-defined target region. And the PID controller is introduced to provide dynamic compensation current for the coil, according to the residual field change monitored by a reference SQUID magnetometer. The measurement results show that the noise suppression ratio (NSR) can reach above 20 dB in the low-frequency range from 0.1 Hz to 50 Hz. The DC component and the fluctuation of the residual field in time-domain can be respectively suppressed to 0 pT and 4 pT, indicating that this proposed compensation method is useful for the MCG measurement. 相似文献
