Chaotic oscillations of the transverse magnetic (TM) mode, which is not a common lasing mode, are excited by using polarization-rotated optical feedback from the transverse electric (TE) mode in a semiconductor laser. In our previous paper, we found that the dynamics were strongly dependent on their RF components under the condition of moderate optical feedback from the TE mode to the TM mode and that they were divided into three RF regions; low-pass filtered signals with a lower frequency than the laser relaxation oscillation frequency, intermediate RF components including the relaxation oscillation frequency, and high-pass filtered signals with a higher frequency higher than the relaxation oscillation frequency. Depending on the frequency bands, the laser outputs showed different correlations. In the present study, using such schemes, the polarization-rotated beam from a transmitter laser (i.e., the rotated TE-mode beam of a transmitter laser) is injected into a receiver laser. We experimentally observe chaos synchronization in accordance with the dynamics of RF components on the transmitter laser side. We also perform numerical calculations using a model and obtain good agreement between the theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of investigations into the influence of variations in the chemical composition of the aromatic core of cyano-containing molecules of liquid crystals on their dielectric properties in the frequency range 1–2000 MHz. It is shown that the dispersion of the longitudinal permittivity is adequately described by the sum of two Debye processes with different weighting factors and relaxation times. The frequency dependence of the transverse permittivity is well approximated by the Debye process with a continuous distribution of relaxation times in a specified range. It is established that the replacement of one benzene ring in the biphenyl core of the 5CB liquid-crystal molecule by a cyclohexane (or bicyclooctane) fragment leads to a considerable decrease in both relaxation times for the longitudinal permittivity, a change in the low-frequency limit of the relaxation time range for the transverse permittivity, and the evolution of the frequency dependence of the dielectric anisotropy.  相似文献

本文讨论了工作[3]中决定耦合系统磁化系数的方法,并用来分析自旋-晶格弛豫过程。在弱耦合的情况下,得出了决定磁化系数的耦合方程组,并求出纵向非共振吸收和横向共振吸收线型的表达式。得出的纵向和横向弛豫时间是外加交变场频率的函数,这反映了高频场对弛豫的影响是由于所用密度矩阵方程为非马尔科夫型的直接结果。在远离共振点处,所得的线型公式和德拜型或洛仑兹型差别较大。一般说来,非马尔科夫效应是不能忽略的。在自旋S=1的情况,我们系统地分析了纵向及横向弛豫的基本过程。其中包含与通常讨论的过程相应的项,如单声子过程,Raman过程,Orbach过程等等,但现在都有外加交变场频率ω参与进去。最后讨论了声子的寿命对横向弛豫时间的影响。  相似文献

激光谐振腔内相位各向异性会引起频率分裂,两分裂模的频差大小由表现出的相位延迟所决定.对于腔内相位延迟较小的He-Ne激光器,两分裂模很接近,处于烧孔重叠区,存在模式竞争而不能同时振荡,形成隐频率分裂.同时,使得激光器两正交偏振方向上的相邻级纵模产生固定的变动量,其大小等于隐频率分裂量的2倍.如果沿激光偏振方向施加横向磁场,Ne原子谱线发生横向Zeeman分裂,增益原子分成两群,分别为平行于磁场和垂直于磁场方向偏振的光提供增益,大大减弱模竞争,使得激光器的两分裂模可同时振荡并测得频差.在谐振腔内放入倾斜的石英晶体片或半波片,由两种方法分别测量频率分裂量并进行比较.实验表明两种方法测量的结果均与理论计算相符,平均相对偏差不超过1%.据此可以准确得到Zeeman双频激光器的频差大小,并为半波片测量提供了新方法.  相似文献

The spin-flip Raman (SFR) laser is shown to be an excellent tool to investigate different processes in the conduction band of the SFR laser crystal itself. For the case ofn-InSb, intracavity spectroscopy of inter-Landau transitions is demonstrated to be much more sensitive than conventional transmission spectroscopy. Data on cyclotron harmonic transitions, both free and LO-phonon assisted, are obtained from the output power characteristics of the SFR laser versus magnetic field. The spin-splitting energy and the effectiveg-factor up to 14 T are derived from the SFR laser frequency. The influence of temperature on SFR laser power, threshold and frequency is investigated. The relaxation following the SFR laser pulse is observed in the electrical conductivity. This yields in a direct way the spin-lattice relaxation time at high magnetic fields, which is of the order of 200 ns.  相似文献

根据经典 Bloch方程的解析解以及考虑辐射阻尼效应的Bloch方程的数值解,通过解析分析和数值模拟,从理论上研究了在射频场扰动下以及在辐射阻尼效应的作用下纵向弛豫对核磁共振线型的影响.结果表明:①射频场的扰动和辐射阻尼效应将导致纵向磁化与横向磁化的耦合,从而使纵向弛豫对线型产生了一定的影响.②在射频场的扰动下,峰强和线宽分别为2M0sin(θ)T1T2/(T1+T2)和(T1+T2)/(2πT1T2),即纵向弛豫将使谱线的峰强增大、线宽变窄,且影响程度随着比值T2/T1的减小而增大,峰强最大可增加1倍而线宽最多可减小1/2.③在强辐射阻尼效应的作用下,纵向弛豫会使谱线的峰强降低,降低的幅度与扳转角θ以及比值T2/T1密切相关.当θ从0到3π/4时,降低的幅度均较小,只有当θ>3π/4时,降低的幅度才开始逐渐变大,且当 θ接近π时,降低的幅度急剧增大.谱线峰强降低的幅度与T2/T1呈较严格的正比关系,即T1越接近T2,峰强下降得越显著.  相似文献

本文从理论上分析了利用调制的单模激光场共振激发来测量原子或分子的寿命.结果表明:感生荧光或共振荧光信号与调制信号间的相移主要来自三个过程:(1)由原子的横向弛豫时间及激光线宽决定的激发过程;(2)由激发能级及其他能级上粒子数衰减过程;(3)与系统达到平衡态粒子数分布所需的弛豫时间有关的碰撞激发过程.讨论了在不同的情况下它们的影响,并在分析中考虑了多普勒加宽的影响.  相似文献

The frequency dependences of the longitudinal and transverse permittivities of oriented nematic liquid crystals belonging to the alkylcyanobiphenyl group nCB (n=5–8) are measured in the relaxation region in the meter and decimeter wavelength ranges. It is established that the dispersion of the longitudinal permittivity is well approximated by the sum of two Debye processes with different relaxation times. The frequency dependence of the transverse permittivity is represented by the dispersion relation with a continuous distribution of relaxation times in a specified time range. It is demonstrated that, in the high-frequency range (f>200 MHz), in which the dielectric spectra exhibit a number of weakly pronounced dispersion features, the total dispersion of the permittivity is adequately described by the sum of relaxation and resonance processes.  相似文献

根据WBR理论和同核体系的特点,构造出了一个相应的三维转动,利用Wigner旋转矩阵的特性并借助于计算机代数语言,计算出了射频场照射下同核体系完整的弛豫方程组.在此基础上,给出了射频场照射下纵向与横向弛豫时间的计算公式,并从理论上研究了射频场的照射对同核体系弛豫的影响.研究结果表明:1)射频场的照射对同核体系的弛豫有一定程度的影响.2)在射频场的照射下,同核体系的纵向弛豫时间T1小于无射频场时的T1,而横向弛豫时间T2大于无射频场时的T2.3)纵向弛豫时间T1随射频场的增强而逐渐减小,横向弛豫时间T2随射频场的增强而逐渐增大. 关键词: 核磁共振 弛豫 射频场 三维转动  相似文献

通过求解全波矢布洛赫方程研究了两能级原子与飞秒超快激光脉冲的相互作用过程,计算了不同拉比频率取值下原子所受光学偶极力和粒子数布居随时间的演化情况,分析了光场失谐量对光学势分布情况的影响.研究发现:由飞秒激光场产生的横向光力的时间平均值并不等于零,而是随着拉比频率的增加呈现振荡的增大趋势;纵向光力的时间平均作用也并非是拉比频率的单调函数,而是随着拉比频率的增加呈现周期性的振荡分布特性;光学势的分布对光场的失谐量具有明显的依赖性,随着失谐量的变化,光学势的性质也随之发生了改变.  相似文献

在哈里森键联轨道法框架下, 考虑到原子的短程相互作用和原子的非简谐振动, 应用固体物理理论和方法, 得到了石墨烯的力常数、杨氏模量、扭曲模量、泊松系数以及声子频率随温度的变化关系, 探讨了非简谐振动对它们的影响. 结果表明: 1)杨氏模量与声子频率等随温度变化并遵从一定的规律, 其中力常数、杨氏模量、扭曲模量随温度升高而增大, 但变化较小; 声子频率随温度升高而增大但变化较快; 泊松系数随温度升高而较快地减小; 2)石墨烯原子具有沿键长方向的纵振动和垂直键长方向的横振动, 但以纵振动为主, 纵振动的非简谐效应远大于横振动, 横振动的简谐系数ε0' 和第二非谐系数ε2' 均小于纵振动的相应值ε02; 比值为ε00' ≈ 8.477,ε22' ≈ 156; 3)若不考虑非简谐振动项, 则石墨烯的力常数、杨氏模量和扭曲模量、泊松系数、声子频率均为常量, 与实验不符合; 同时考虑到原子的第一、二非简谐振动项后, 它们均随温度升高而变化, 而且温度愈高, 原子振动的非简谐效应愈显著. 本文的结果与文献的实验结果符合较好.  相似文献

为了产生多种激光横模,以前的系统相对比较复杂,而且一般只能产生基横模和低阶横模,很难产生高阶横模,同时也很难观察到模竞争中一个频率抑制另一个频率的变化过程。基于猫眼谐振腔激光器和频率分裂技术,提出了一种新型的激光原理综合实验系统。该系统利用猫眼逆向器作为He-Ne激光器的一个腔镜,通过调节猫眼逆向器中两镜片间距可输出包括基横模、低阶横模、高阶横模在内的十余种典型横模,并可完成纵模、偏振、出光带宽等多种激光基本特性的实验。同时在基横模状态下,利用谐振腔内加入的石英晶体片可实现激光频率分裂及其频差调节。在此基础上又可实现完整的模竞争过程的观察。  相似文献

This paper introduces comprehensive large-signal analyses of modulation dynamics and noise of a chaotic semiconductor laser. The chaos is induced by operating the laser under optical feedback (OFB). Control of the chaotic dynamics and possibility of suppressing the associated noise by sinusoidal modulation are investigated. The studies are based on numerical solutions of a time-delay rate equation model. The deterministic modulation dynamics of the laser are classified into seven regular and irregular dynamic types. Variations of chaotic dynamics and noise with sinusoidal modulation are examined in both time and frequency domains over wide ranges of the modulation depth and frequency. The results showed that chaotic dynamics can be converted into five distinct dynamic types; namely, continuous periodic signal (CPS), continuous periodic signal with relaxation oscillations (CPSRO), periodic pulse (PP), periodic pulse with relaxation oscillations (PPRO) and periodic pulse with period doubling (PPPD). The relative intensity noise (RIN) of these types is characterized when the modulation frequencies are much lower, comparable to, and higher than the resonance frequency. Suppression of RIN to a level 8 dB/Hz higher than the quantum limit was predicted under the CPS type when the modulation frequency is 0.9 times the resonance frequency and the modulation depth is 0.14.  相似文献

The effect of normal phonon-phonon scattering processes on the thermal conductivity of silicon crystals with various degrees of isotope disorder is considered. The redistribution of phonon momentum in normal scattering processes is taken into account within each oscillation branch (the Callaway generalized model), as well as between different oscillation branches of the phonon spectrum (the Herring mechanism). The values of the parameters are obtained that determine the phonon momentum relaxation in anharmonic scattering processes. The contributions of the drift motion of longitudinal and transverse phonons to the thermal conductivity are analyzed. It is shown that the momentum redistribution between longitudinal and transverse phonons in the Herring relaxation model represents an efficient mechanism that limits the maximum thermal conductivity in isotopically pure silicon crystals. The dependence of the maximum thermal conductivity on the degree of isotope disorder is calculated. The maximum thermal conductivity of isotopically pure silicon crystals is estimated for two variants of phonon momentum relaxation in normal phonon-phonon scattering processes.  相似文献

The most narrow sub-Doppler frequency resonances in the linear absorption of monochromatic radiation that propagates in the normal direction through a cell containing a layer of rarefied gas medium with a thickness smaller than or on the order of the wavelength of this radiation are theoretically studied. The calculation is performed using as an example a three-dimensional gas cell shaped like a rectangular parallelepiped. It is shown that the width and amplitude of considered sub-Doppler resonances (in the vicinity of centers of rather weak quantum transitions) significantly depend on the transit relaxation of atomic particles, which is determined by their transit times through the irradiated region of the cell both in longitudinal and in transverse directions. The restrictions of the approximation of the planar one-dimensional cell that was previously used in such calculations are determined. Possible applications of linear absorption resonances in ultrathin (nanometer) gas cells as references for optical frequency standards are discussed.  相似文献

A simple spring model for molecular vibrations is described in which Cartesian co-ordinates are used for both longitudinal and transverse displacements. The transverse restoring forces are shown to be electrostatic in origin and much weaker than the elastic longitudinal forces. The technique is applied to diatomic and centrosymmetric triatomic molecules. In the latter case, an analytical expression for the bending mode frequency is obtained which is equivalent to that derived by conventional methods using bending constants and internal co-ordinates. The model offers certain advantages when applied to the dynamics of crystals, for which Cartesian co-ordinates, aligned with the unit cell axes, are the natural choice. Reference is made to recent work on molecular and ionic crystals using extensions of this model.  相似文献

We have investigated analytically relaxation processes in the phonon system in helium(II) at sufficiently low temperatures where rotons are not exited. In accordance with the recent experimental data, the phonon velocity dispersion is supposed to be positive, though small. Two different relaxation processes exist in the phonon system in this case: (i) the fast longitudinal relaxation establishing equilibrium phonon distribution along each direction in the momentum space with the temperature and the drift velocity depending on the direction; (ii) the slow transverse relaxation setting up equilibrium between different directions.Using the energy and momentum conservation and general principles of the irreversible thermodynamics we have derived the expression for the transverse relaxation operator. It appears to be a differential operator of the fourth order and depends on a function of the “phonon temperature” Θ that cannot be determined from the general consideration. We have calculated this function for the case of three-phonon collisions.Physical properties of the transverse relaxation operator are discussed and the corresponding boundary conditions are formulated. Several typical physical problems, both linear and nonlinear, which can be formulated in terms of the transverse relaxation operator, are enumerated. With the help of the diagram method the contribution of multiphonon collisions both in the longitudional and in the transverse relaxation is evaluated.  相似文献
