The windowed Fourier ridges (WFR) algorithm can be used to extract the frequency and phase information from an exponential or carrier fringe pattern. The selection of the window size for this algorithm is investigated in this paper. For exponential phase fringe patterns, the window size does not need to be adjusted according to the signal frequency. Hence the scaling strategy of the wavelet transform is not necessary. Instead, the window size should be selected according to the balance between the linear phase approximation error and the noise level. For carrier fringe patterns, the influence of the conjugate component should also be considered. However it can be ignored when the lowest frequency of the fringe pattern is higher than 1.5/σ (σ is used to represent the window size).  相似文献

The applications of windowed Fourier fringe analysis in the past decade are reviewed. Because fringe patterns from different optical measurement systems are similar, the reviewed applications are classified according to the functions of the windowed Fourier transform being used in fringe pattern analysis: denosing exponential phase fields, demodulating carrier fringe patterns, getting phase derivatives, and utilizing local properties. From these applications, the windowed Fourier transform is shown to be effective and versatile for fringe pattern analysis.  相似文献

A modified algorithm of windowed Fourier transform (WFT) for phase retrieval from electronic speckle-shearing fringe patterns with carriers is proposed. The algorithm is based on the introduction of a fast Fourier transform (FFT) in WFT to reduce computation time for fringe demodulation. Since boundary effects in FFT will influence the accuracy of phase retrieval, the Gerchberg method is employed to extrapolate the fringe pattern at the boundaries to reduce boundary effects. A theoretical analysis of the algorithm is presented. Both simulated and experimental results show that the proposed method has reduced the computation time significantly compared with the convolution method of WFT without sacrificing measurement accuracy.  相似文献

A simple phase unwrapping approach based on windowed Fourier filtering was proposed recently [K. Qian et al. A simple phase unwrapping approach based on filtering by windowed Fourier transform. Opt Laser Technol 2005;37:458–62]. The windowed Fourier filtering algorithm is an essential ingredient that suppresses the noise effectively and makes the phase unwrapping trivial. This paper adds a note on the threshold selection in the windowed Fourier filtering algorithm. A large interval can be selected as the threshold to obtain almost optimal filtering results. Once the selected threshold is suitable, it is almost optimal. This makes the threshold selection in the windowed Fourier filtering algorithm extremely easy.  相似文献

Fringe patterns from optical metrology systems need to be demodulated to get the desired parameters. Two-dimensional windowed Fourier transform is chosen for the determination of phase and phase derivatives. Two algorithms, one based on filtering and the other based on similarity measure, are developed. Some applications based on these two algorithms are explored, including strain determination, phase unwrapping, phase-shifter calibration, fault detection, edge detection and fringe segmentation. Various examples are given to demonstrate the ideas. Finally implementations of these algorithms are addressed. Most of the work has appeared in various papers and its originality is not claimed. Instead, this paper gives an overview and more insights of our work on windowed Fourier transform.  相似文献

多尺度窗口傅里叶变换法根据条纹信号的瞬时频率梯度来确定信号的局域平稳长度,再由局域平稳长度来控制窗口的尺度,即窗口的尺度和局域平稳长度成正比。使用多尺度窗口傅里叶变换法来使条纹信号的频谱局域化,可以在条纹信号的频率分辨率和空间分辨率之间达到一种较佳的调和。针对多尺度窗口傅里叶变换三维形貌测量技术中局域平稳长度提取算法的不足进行了改进,使窗口尺度的选取更具合理性,对变形光栅基频提取更精确,进一步减小了位相测量的误差。给出了理论分析、计算机模拟以及实验结果。  相似文献

A simple phase unwrapping approach based on windowed Fourier filtering (WFF) was proposed recently. In this paper, the effects of the WFF on edges are further investigated, which show that the phase near an edge remains unchanged and no special consideration is needed for the edges. Phase unwrapping is an interesting yet challenging problem in optical interferometry. In this paper, we limit our interest to unwrapping noisy phase maps as it is a common but difficult task. Our aim is to propose a simple solution to phase unwrapping. We first remove the noise by a novel windowed Fourier transform approach and then use sequential line scanning method for phase unwrapping. Fringe pattern analysis in coded structured light constitutes an active field of research. Techniques based on first projecting a sinusoidal pattern and then recovering the phase deviation permit the computation of the phase map and its corresponding depth map, leading to a dense acquisition of the measuring object. Among these techniques, the ones based on time-frequency analysis permit to extract the depth map from a single image, thus having potential applications measuring moving objects. The main techniques are Fourier Transform (FT), Windowed Fourier Transform (WFT) and Wavelet Transform (WT). This paper first analyzes the pros and cons of these three techniques, then a new algorithm for the automatic selection of the window size in WFT is proposed. This algorithm is compared to the traditional WT using adapted mother wavelet signals both with simulated and real objects, showing the performance results for quantitative and qualitative evaluations of the new method.  相似文献

Based on interferogram zero padding and fast Fourier transform (FFT) methods, an effective, straightforward and stable carrier-removal approach in Fourier transform (FT) based method for carrier interferogram analysis is proposed. The spatial carrier interferogram is firstly extrapolated by zero padding method, and the carrier-frequency values within a small fraction of an integral (or a pixel) are estimated from the extrapolation interferogram with FFT method. Then the carrier-phase component is removed by subtracting a pure carrier-frequency phase constructed by the estimated carrier-frequencies in the spatial domain. Numerical simulations and experiments are given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method and the results show that the proposed method is effective and stable for suppressing the carrier-removal error in the FT method for carrier interferogram analysis.  相似文献

Optical techniques that are used to measure displacements utilize a carrier. When a load is applied the displacement field modulates the carrier. The accuracy of the information that can be recovered from the modulated carrier is limited by a number of factors. Both two-dimensional (2D) Windowed Fourier Transform and 2D S Transform are popular time–frequency analysis tools for processing signals. But fewer articles reported the application of 2D S Transform in Fringe pattern analysis. This paper studies the 2D S Transform and compares it with 2D Windowed Fourier Transform. The phase calculation formula based on the 2D Windowed Fourier Transform “ridge” coefficients and 2D S Transform “ridge” coefficients are deduced respectively. A comparison between them is carried out to show their own characteristic in fringe patterns analysis based on the structured-light illumination. It verifies that the 3D reconstruction result of 2D ST is better than that of 2D WFT because of the employment of the adjusted windows by frequency parameters.  相似文献

Windowed Fourier transform (FT) is introduced into Fourier transform profilometry (FTP) to extract zero component included in deformed fringe pattern without capturing two fringe patterns with π phase difference. First, we extract zero component of deformed fringe image using windowed FT and normalize it, then calculate the normalized Fourier spectra of deformed fringe image, finally subtract the zero component from Fourier spectra of deformed fringe image. We give the theoretical analysis of the proposed method. The experiment is carried out to demonstrate that the method can eliminate zero component and extend the measurable slope of height variation to nearly three times of the conventional FTP.  相似文献

In the process of measurements such as optical interferometry and fringe projection, an important stage is fringe pattern analysis. Many advanced fringe analysis algorithms have been proposed including regularized phase tracking (RPT), partial differential equation based methods, wavelet transform, Wigner–Ville distribution, and windowed Fourier transform. However, most of those algorithms are computationally expensive. MATLAB® is a general algorithm development environment with powerful image processing and other supporting toolboxes. It is also commonly used in photomechanical data analysis. With rapid development of multicore CPU technique, using multicore computer and MATLAB® is an intuitive and simple way to speed up the algorithms for fringe pattern analysis. The paper introduces two acceleration approaches for fringe pattern processing. The first approach is task parallelism using multicore computer and MATLAB® parallel computing toolbox. Since some algorithms are embarrassing problems, our first approach makes use of this characteristic to parallelize these algorithms. For this approach, parallelized windowed Fourier filtering (WFF) algorithm serves as an example to show how parallel computing toolbox accelerates the algorithm. Second, data parallelism using multicore computer and MATLAB® parallel computing toolbox is proposed. A high level parallel wrapping structure is designed, which can be used for speeding up any local processing algorithms. WFF, windowed Fourier ridges (WFR), and median filter are used as examples to illustrate the speedup. At last, the results show that the parallel versions of former sequential algorithm with simple modifications achieve the speedup up to 6.6 times.  相似文献

利用傅里叶变换图像处理技术测量阔叶材纤维细胞尺寸。把每一个纤维细胞都用其中心的一个长九个像素点,宽两个像素点的线段点图(LCDM)来表示,进行傅里叶变换(FFT),其能量光谱图(PSP)在水平和垂直方向上的频率分布,除零值以外的最大值,即为细胞径向、弦向直径。实验结果表明,该方法与光学显微镜、图像处理软件的结果基本相同,说明该方法也适用于阔叶材纤维细胞尺寸的测定,扩大了其应用领域,为木材的微观分析提供新方法和新的研究方向。  相似文献

Optical fringes with a quadratic phase are often encountered in optical metrology. Parameter estimation of such fringes plays an important role in interferometric measurements. A novel method is proposed for accurate and direct parameter estimation using the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), even in the presence of noise and obstacles. We take Newton׳s rings fringe patterns and electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) interferograms as classic examples of optical fringes that have a quadratic phase and present simulation and experimental results demonstrating the performance of the proposed method.  相似文献

为了优化相位重建算法,针对波面干涉图的傅里叶频谱,分析了不同滤波窗口的分布特征和频谱响应,通过计算机仿真和实验测试,确定了FFT动态相位重建算法的最佳滤波窗口类型。其中处理仿真干涉图重建的波面与原始波面的波面峰谷值残差为0.008 5λ,波面均方根值残差为0.000 1λ;处理实验干涉图获得的波面与移相干涉测量法获得的波面峰谷值残差为0.009 3λ,波面均方根值残差为0.000 5λ。结果表明:选取Hamming窗进行滤波处理并重建的相位经拟合后得到的波面较参考波面的面形残差最小,相位重建精度优于0.01λ,可进一步应用于大口径光学元件的测量中。  相似文献

Spectral phase in a white-light interferogram contains information about the absolute optical path difference (OPD) in the interferometer. Evaluation of spectral phase is therefore important in applications such as profilometry with white light. In spectrally resolved white-light interferometry (SRWLI) the white-light interferogram is spectrally decomposed by a spectrometer in order to determine this phase. Several single-frame techniques in SRWLI have been proposed for the evaluation of the phase including Fourier transform, Hilbert transform, spatial phase shifting, windowed Fourier transform and wavelet transform. In this paper we present a comparative study of these techniques in this application in relation to the temporal phase-shifting technique which is a multi- frame method. Further, we also propose a modified method to remove the influence of source spectrum modulation in Hilbert transform procedure.  相似文献

从分数傅里叶变换(FRFT)的定义出发,理论分析了联合分数变换相关器(JFRTC)的分数相关特性.从所得JFRTC的数学表达式中可以看出,将FRFT应用到联合变换相关器(JTC)中得到的JFRTC具有与传统JTC不同的性质.对于传统JTC,一旦输入平面上参考图像与目标图像之间的距离给定,相关输出峰的位置即确定,而JFRTC的相关输出峰的位置则可以由分数级次p1和p2来自由调节,这个特性在实际模式识别中非常有用.另一方面,JFRTC的相关输出峰值在大多数情况下低于传统JTC的相关峰值,却是JFRTC的一大缺点.最后,从FRFT的比例性质出发,给出了FRFT谱畸变不变的实现条件,并由此预言了JFRTC畸变不变模式识别的功能.  相似文献
