The cross section for the elastic photoproduction of ϱ0 mesons (γp → ϱ0p) has been measured with the H1 detector at HERA for two average photon-proton centre-of-mass energies of 55 and 187 GeV. The lower energy point was measured by observing directly the ϱ0 decay giving a cross section of 9.1 ± 0.9 (stat.) ± 2.5 (syst.) μb. The logarithmic slope parameter of the differential cross section, dσ/dt, is found to be 10.9 ± 2.4 (stat.) ± 1.1 (syst.) GeV−2. The ϱ0 decay polar angular distribution is found to be consistent with s-channel helicity conservation. The higher energy cross section was determined from analysis of the lower part of the hadronic invariant mass spectrum of diffractive photoproduction and found to be 13.6 ± 0.8 (stat.) ± 2.4 (syst.) μb. 相似文献

Photoproduction of neutral pions from nuclei (carbon, calcium, niobium, lead) has been studied for incident-photon energies from 200 MeV to 800 MeV with the TAPS detector using the Glasgow photon tagging spectrometer at the Mainz MAMI accelerator. Data were obtained for the inclusive photoproduction of neutral pions and the partial channels of quasifree single-
, double-
, and
photoproduction. They have been analyzed in terms of the in-medium behavior of nucleon resonances and the pion-nucleus interaction. They are compared to earlier measurements from the deuteron and to the predictions of a Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck (BUU) transport model for photon-induced pion production from nuclei.PACS:

Inclusive K 0 and Λ photoproduction has been investigated at HERA with the H1 detector at an average photon-proton center of mass energy of 200 GeV in the transverse momentum range 0.5 < p t < 5 GeV. The production rates as a function of p t and center of mass rapidity are compared to those obtained in deep inelastic scattering at 〈Q 2〉 = 23 GeV2. A similar comparison is made of the rapidity spectra of charged particles. The rate of strangeness photoproduction is compared with $p\bar p$ measurements. The observations are also compared with next-to-leading order QCD calculations and the predictions of a Monte Carlo model. 相似文献

We calculate the ρ meson couplings between the heavy hybrid doublets H~h/S~h/M~h/T~h and the ordinary qQˉ doublets in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rule. The sum rules obtained rely mildly on the Borel parameters in their working regions. The resulting coupling constants are rather small in most cases. 相似文献

The possible existence of a vector leptonic resonance (0) in the +– system is considered. We discuss the effect such a resonance would have on the g factor of the muon and also on the ratio of the partial widths of the muonic and electronic decay modes (RV = (V +–)/G (V e+ e–)) of the neutral vector mesons

We report on a study of ρ0, ρ+, ω, \(\bar K^{*0} (892)\) andK *0 (892) inclusive production in π+ p interactions at 250 GeV/c, for ρ+, \(\bar K^{*0} (892)\) for the first time in a π+ p experiment. The data are compared withK + p data in the same experiment, with results of other experiments and with quark-parton models. Interesting differences are found between ρ+,0 and ω production. 相似文献

ABSTRACTWe have developed a technique for neutron diffraction experiments at pressures up to 40?GPa using a Paris-Edinburgh press at the PLANET beamline in J-PARC. To increase the maximum accessible pressure, the diameter of the dimple for sample chamber at the top of the sintered diamond anvils is sequentially reduced from 4.0?mm to 1.0?mm. As a result, the maximum pressure increased and finally reached 40?GPa. By combining this technique with the beam optics which defines the gauge volume, diffraction patterns sufficient for full-structure refinements are obtainable at such pressures. 相似文献

The importance of Born terms and resonance exchange for η and η' photoproduction off both the proton and neutron within
U(3) baryon chiral perturbation theory is investigated. Low-lying resonances such as the vector mesons and J
P = 1/2+, 1/2- baryon resonances are included explicitly and their contributions together with the Born terms are calculated. The coupling
constants of the resonances are determined from strong and radiative decays. We obtain reasonable agreement with experimental
data near threshold.

The process of charm quark fragmentation is studied using D
* ± meson production in deep-inelastic scattering as measured by the H1 detector at HERA. The parameters of fragmentation functions
are extracted for QCD models based on leading order matrix elements and DGLAP or CCFM evolution of partons together with string
fragmentation and particle decays. Additionally, they are determined for a next-to-leading order QCD calculation in the fixed
flavour number scheme using the independent fragmentation of charm quarks to D
* ± mesons. Two different regions of phase space are investigated defined by the presence or absence of a jet containing the
D
* ± meson in the event. The fragmentation parameters extracted for the two phase space regions are found to be different.

We present recent investigations on the vector and axial-vector transitions of the baryon antide-cuplet within the framework of the self-consistent SU(3) chiral quark-soliton model, taking into account the 1/N_c rotational and linear ms corrections. The main contribution to the electric-like transition form factor comes from the wave-function corrections. This is a consequence of the generalized Ademollo-Gatto theorem. It is also found that in general the leading-order contributions are almost canceled by the rotational 1/N_c corrections. The results are summarized as follows: the vector and tensor K*NΘ coupling constants, g_(K*NΘ)=0.74-0.87 and f_(K*NΘ) = 0.53-1.16, respectively, and F_(Θ→KN)=0.71 MeV, based on the result of the KNΘ coupling constant g_(KnΘ) = 0.83. We also show the differential cross sections and beam asymmetries, based on the present results. We also discuss the connection of present results with the original work by Diakonov, Petrov, and Polyakov. 相似文献

We present a measurement of the inelastic, non diffractive J/ψ photoproduction cross section in the reaction e + p → e +J/ψ X with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The J/ψ was identified using both the μ + μ - and e + e - decay channels and events were selected within the range 0.4 < z < 0.9 (0.5 < z < 0.9) for the muon (electron) decay mode, where z is the fraction of the photon energy carried by the J/ψ in the proton rest frame. The cross section, the p T 2 and the z distributions, after having subtracted the contributions from resolved photon and diffractive proton dissociative processes, are given for the photon-proton centre of mass energy range 50 < W < 180 GeV; p T 2 is the square of the J/ψ transverse momentum with respect to the incoming proton beam direction. In the kinematic range 0.4 < z < 0.9 and p T 2 > 1 GeV2, NLO calculations of the photon-gluon fusion process based on the colour-singlet model are in good agreement with the data. The predictions of a specific leading order colour-octet model, as formulated to describe the CDF data on J/ψ hadroproduction, are not consistent with the data. 相似文献

Anisotropic emission of charged mesons and structure characteristic of emission source in heavy ion collisions at 1-2A GeV 下载免费PDF全文
Angular distributions of pious and kaons produced in heavy ion collisions at the low-energy end of high energies (1-2 A GeV) have been investigated by using a multisource ideal gas model. The model covers the expansions and movements of the emission sources, and it is related to the collective flows. By using the analytic expression and the Monte Carlo method, the azimuthal and polar angle distributions of mesons are calculated by the model and compared with the experimental data of the KaoS Collaboration. 相似文献

Local-duality QCD sum rules for strong isospin breaking in the decay constants of heavy–light mesons
Wolfgang Lucha Dmitri Melikhov Silvano Simula 《The European Physical Journal C - Particles and Fields》2018,78(2):168
We discuss the leptonic decay constants of heavy–light mesons by means of Borel QCD sum rules in the local-duality (LD) limit of infinitely large Borel mass parameter. In this limit, for an appropriate choice of the invariant structures in the QCD correlation functions, all vacuum-condensate contributions vanish and all nonperturbative effects are contained in only one quantity, the effective threshold. We study properties of the LD effective thresholds in the limits of large heavy-quark mass \(m_Q\) and small light-quark mass \(m_q\). In the heavy-quark limit, we clarify the role played by the radiative corrections in the effective threshold for reproducing the pQCD expansion of the decay constants of pseudoscalar and vector mesons. We show that the dependence of the meson decay constants on \(m_q\) arises predominantly (at the level of 70–80%) from the calculable \(m_q\)-dependence of the perturbative spectral densities. Making use of the lattice QCD results for the decay constants of nonstrange and strange pseudoscalar and vector heavy mesons, we obtain solid predictions for the decay constants of heavy–light mesons as functions of \(m_q\) in the range from a few to 100 MeV and evaluate the corresponding strong isospin-breaking effects: \(f_{D^+} - f_{D^0}=(0.96 \pm 0.09) \ \mathrm{MeV}\), \(f_{D^{*+}} - f_{D^{*0}}= (1.18 \pm 0.35) \ \mathrm{MeV}\), \(f_{B^0} - f_{B^+}=(1.01 \pm 0.10) \ \mathrm{MeV}\), \(f_{B^{*0}} - f_{B^{*+}}=(0.89 \pm 0.30) \ \mathrm{MeV}\). 相似文献

We check a commonly used approximation in which a baryon with a heavy quark is described as a heavy quark–light diquark system. The heavy quark influences the diquark internal motion reducing the average distance between the two light quarks. Besides, we show how the average distance between the heavy quark and any of the light quarks, and that between the heavy quark and the center of mass of the light diquark, are smaller than the distance between the two light quarks, which seems to contradict the heavy quark–light diquark picture. This latter result is in agreement with expectations from QCD sum rules and lattice QCD calculations. Our results also show that the diquark approximations produces larger masses than the ones obtained in a full calculation. 相似文献

Measurements of ω photoproduction of the Crystal-Barrel/TAPS experiment at the ELSA accelerator of Bonn University are presented which used linearly polarized tagged photon beam from threshold to Eγ = 1700MeV. The azimuthal asymmetries ∑and ∑πindicate s-channel resonance contributions on top of the established t-channel exchange processes. These findings are further enhanced by a very first measurement of the G-asymmetry which, in addition to the polarized photon beam, also requires a longitudinally polarized proton target. An intuitive interpretation of the specific sensitivity of the azimuthal asymmetries to the reaction mechanisms involved is given. 相似文献

A study has been made of the effects of radiation corrections of order as regards the probability of lepton decay of a moving neutral vector meson V e+e– and V +– (V = 0, , ); -e universality has been checked by examining the effects of radiation corrections due to exchange of virtual photons between lepton and antilepton, and also to vacuum polarization by e+e– electron and +–muon closed loops; in addition, a study has been made of the emission of soft photons as regards the partial width for the electron and muon modes of V-meson decay. Closed expressions (1), (4), and (5) for the corrections imply that the ratio ¦Rv¦ for the probabilities of decay of a V meson to e+e– and +–, which are given by (11), agree well with the available evidence on 0 e+e– +– decays and indicates a possible deviation from -e universality in e+e–+– decays.Read at the meeting on high-energy physics, Nuclear Physics Section Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Moscow, February 11–15, 1974).Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 7, pp. 84–89, July 1975.We are indebted to Professor A.
