In this study, we first calculate the polar moment of inertia of orbit curves under one-parameter planar motion in the generalized complex plane \({{\mathbb{C}_p}}\) and then give the Holditch-type theorem for \({{\mathbb{C}_p}}\): When the fixed points \({X}\) and \({Y}\) on the moving plane \({{\mathbb{K}_p} \subset {\mathbb{C}_p}}\) trace the same curve \({k}\) with the polar moment of inertia \({{T_X}}\), the different point \({Z}\) on this line segment \({XY}\) traces another curve \({{k_Z}}\) with the polar moment of inertia \({{T_Z}}\) during the one-parameter planar motion in the fixed plane \({{\mathbb{K}'_p} \subset {\mathbb{C}_p}}\). Thus, we obtain that the difference between the polar moments of inertia of these curves \({( {{T_Z} - {T_X}} )}\) depends on the only the \({p}\)-distances of this points and \({p}\)-rotation angle of the motion, \({{T_X} - {T_Z} = {\delta _p}ab.}\)  相似文献

Let \({C={\rm inf} (k/n)\sum_{i=1}^n x_i(x_{i+1}+\cdots+x_{i+k})^{-1}}\), where the infimum is taken over all pairs of integers \({n\geq k\geq 1}\) and all positive \({x_1,\ldots,x_n}\), \({x_{n+i}=x_i}\). We prove that \({\ln 2 \leq C < 0.9305}\). In the definition of the constant C, the operation \({{\rm inf}_{k}\, {\rm inf}_{n}\, {\rm inf}_{x}}\) can be replaced by \({{\rm lim}_{k \to \infty}\, {\rm lim}_{n \to \infty} {\rm inf}_{x}}\).  相似文献

We prove a Beurling-Blecher-Labuschagne theorem for \({H^\infty}\)-invariant spaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M},\tau)}\) when \({0 < p \leq\infty}\), using Arveson’s non-commutative Hardy space \({H^\infty}\) in relation to a von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) with a semifinite, faithful, normal tracial weight \({\tau}\). Using the main result, we are able to completely characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of \({L^p(\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z},\tau)}\), where \({\mathcal{M} \rtimes_\alpha \mathbb{Z} }\) is a crossed product of a semifinite von Neumann algebra \({\mathcal{M}}\) by the integer group \({\mathbb{Z}}\), and \({H^\infty}\) is a non-selfadjoint crossed product of \({\mathcal{M}}\) by \({\mathbb{Z}^+}\). As an example, we characterize all \({H^\infty}\)-invariant subspaces of the Schatten p-class \({S^p(\mathcal{H})}\), where \({H^\infty}\) is the lower triangular subalgebra of \({B(\mathcal{H})}\), for each \({0 < p \leq\infty}\).  相似文献

We describe a class of discontinuous additive functions \({a:X\to X}\) on a real topological vector space X such that \({a^n={\rm id}_X}\) and \({a({\mathcal{H}}){\setminus} {\mathcal{H}}\neq\emptyset}\) for every infinite set \({{\mathcal{H}}\subset X}\) of vectors linearly independent over \({\mathbb{Q}}\). We prove the density of the family of all such functions in the linear topological space \({{\mathcal{A}}_X}\) of all additive functions \({a:X\to X}\) with the topology induced on \({{\mathcal{A}}_X}\) by the Tychonoff topology of the space XX. Moreover, we consider additive functions \({a\in{\mathcal{A}}_X}\) satisfying \({a^n={\rm id}_X}\) and \({a({\mathcal{H}})= {\mathcal{H}}}\) for some Hamel basis \({{\mathcal{H}}}\) of X. We show that the class of all such functions is also dense in \({{\mathcal{A}}_X}\). The method is based on decomposition theorems for linear endomorphisms.  相似文献

We investigate Weyl type asymptotics of functional-difference operators associated to mirror curves of special del Pezzo Calabi-Yau threefolds. These operators are \({H(\zeta) = U + U^{-1} + V + \zeta V^{-1}}\) and \({H_{m,n} = U + V + q^{-mn}U^{-m}V^{-n}}\), where \({U}\) and \({V}\) are self-adjoint Weyl operators satisfying \({UV = q^{2}VU}\) with \({q = {\rm e}^{{\rm i}\pi b^{2}}}\), \({b > 0}\) and \({\zeta > 0}\), \({m, n \in \mathbb{N}}\). We prove that \({H(\zeta)}\) and \({H_{m,n}}\) are self-adjoint operators with purely discrete spectrum on \({L^{2}(\mathbb{R})}\). Using the coherent state transform we find the asymptotical behaviour for the Riesz mean \({\sum_{j\ge 1}(\lambda - \lambda_{j})_{+}}\) as \({\lambda \to \infty}\) and prove the Weyl law for the eigenvalue counting function \({N(\lambda)}\) for these operators, which imply that their inverses are of trace class.  相似文献

We consider a family \({\{T_{r}: [0, 1] \circlearrowleft \}_{r\in[0, 1]}}\) of Markov interval maps interpolating between the tent map \({T_{0}}\) and the Farey map \({T_{1}}\). Letting \({\mathcal{P}_{r}}\) denote the Perron–Frobenius operator of \({T_{r}}\), we show, for \({\beta \in [0, 1]}\) and \({\alpha \in (0, 1)}\), that the asymptotic behaviour of the iterates of \({\mathcal{P}_{r}}\) applied to observables with a singularity at \({\beta}\) of order \({\alpha}\) is dependent on the structure of the \({\omega}\)-limit set of \({\beta}\) with respect to \({T_{r}}\). The results presented here are some of the first to deal with convergence to equilibrium of observables with singularities.  相似文献

We characterize and construct semigroups whose right regular representation is a left cancellative semigroup. These semigroups will be called left equalizer simple semigroups. For a congruence \({\varrho}\) on a semigroup S, let \({{\mathbb F}[\varrho]}\) denote the ideal of the semigroup algebra \({{\mathbb F}[S]}\) which determines the kernel of the extended homomorphism of \({{\mathbb F}[S]}\) onto \({{\mathbb F}[S/\varrho]}\) induced by the canonical homomorphism of S onto \({S/\varrho}\). We examine the right colons (\({{\mathbb F}[\varrho] :_{r} {\mathbb F}[S]) = {a \epsilon {\mathbb F}[S] : {\mathbb F}[S]a \subseteqq {\mathbb F}[\varrho]}}\) in general, and in that special case when \({\varrho}\) has the property that the factor semigroup \({S/\varrho}\) is left equalizer simple.  相似文献

Let \({L_{w}}{:=-w^{-1}{\rm div}(A\nabla)}\) be the degenerate elliptic operator on the Euclidean space \({{\mathbb{R}^{n}}}\), where w is a Muckenhoupt \({A_{2}({\mathbb{R}^{n}})}\) weight. In this article, the authors establish the Riesz transform characterization of the Hardy space \({H^{p}_{L_{w}}({\mathbb{R}}^{n})}\) associated with Lw, for \({w \in A_{q}({\mathbb{R}}^{n}) \cap RH_{\frac{n}{n-2}}({\mathbb{R}^{n}})}\) with \({n \geq 3}\), \({q \in [1,2]}\) and \({p \in (q(\frac{1}{r}+\frac{q-1}{2}+\frac{1}{n})^{-1},1]}\) if, for some \({r \in (1,\,2]}\), \({{\{tL_w e^{-tL_w}\}}_{t\geq 0}}\) satisfies the weighted \({L^{r}-L^{2}}\) full off-diagonal estimates.  相似文献

For p an odd prime, let \({{\mathcal A}_{p}}\) be the complete classical affine association scheme whose associate classes correspond to parallel classes of lines in the classical affine plane AG(2, p). It is known that \({{\mathcal A}_{p}}\) is an amorphic association scheme. We investigate rank 3 fusion schemes of \({{\mathcal A}_{p}}\) whose basis graphs have the same parameters as the Paley graphs \({P(p^{2})}\). In contrast to the Paley graphs, the great majority of graphs we detect are non-self-complementary and non-Schurian. In particular, existence of non-self-complementary graphs with Paley parameters is established for \({p \ge 17}\), with an analogous existence result for non-Schurian such graphs when \({p \ge 11}\). We demonstrate that the number of self-complementary and non-self-complementary strongly regular graphs with Paley parameters grows rapidly as \({p \to \infty}\).  相似文献

Let X be an algebraic curve over \({\mathbb {Q}}\) and \({t\in {\mathbb {Q}}(X)}\) a non-constant rational function such that \({{\mathbb {Q}}(X)\ne {\mathbb {Q}}(t)}\). For every \({ n \in {\mathbb {Z}}}\) pick \({P_ n \in X(\bar{{\mathbb {Q}}})}\) such that \({t(P_n)=n}\). We conjecture that, for large N, among the number fields \({\mathbb {Q}}(P_1), \ldots , {\mathbb {Q}}(P_N)\) there are at least cN distinct. We prove this conjecture in the special case when \(\bar{{\mathbb {Q}}}(X)/\bar{{\mathbb {Q}}}(t)\) is an abelian field extension and the critical values of t are all rational. This implies, in particular, that our conjecture follows from a more famous conjecture of Schinzel.  相似文献

Let X be a non-void set and A be a subalgebra of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . We call a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional \({\varphi}\) on A a 1-evaluation if \({\varphi(f) \in f(X) }\) for all \({f\in A}\) . From the classical Gleason–Kahane–?elazko theorem, it follows that if X in addition is a compact Hausdorff space then a mapping \({\varphi}\) of \({C_{\mathbb{C}}(X) }\) into \({\mathbb{C}}\) is a 1-evaluation if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism. In this paper, we aim to investigate the extent to which this equivalence between 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms can be generalized to a wider class of self-conjugate subalgebras of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) . In this regards, we prove that a \({\mathbb{C}}\) -linear functional on a self-conjugate subalgebra A of \({\mathbb{C}^{X}}\) is a positive \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphism if and only if \({\varphi}\) is a \({\overline{1}}\) -evaluation, that is, \({\varphi(f) \in\overline{f\left(X\right)}}\) for all \({f\in A}\) . As consequences of our general study, we prove that 1-evaluations and \({\mathbb{C}}\) -homomorphisms on \({C_{\mathbb{C}}\left( X\right)}\) coincide for any topological space X and we get a new characterization of realcompact topological spaces.  相似文献

In this article, using the heat kernel approach from Bouche (Asymptotic results for Hermitian line bundles over complex manifolds: The heat kernel approach, Higher-dimensional complex varieties, pp 67–81, de Gruyter, Berlin, 1996), we derive sup-norm bounds for cusp forms of integral and half-integral weight. Let \({\Gamma\subset \mathrm{PSL}_{2}(\mathbb{R})}\) be a cocompact Fuchsian subgroup of first kind. For \({k \in \frac{1}{2} \mathbb{Z}}\) (or \({k \in 2\mathbb{Z}}\)), let \({S^{k}_{\nu}(\Gamma)}\) denote the complex vector space of cusp forms of weight-k and nebentypus \({\nu^{2k}}\) (\({\nu^{k\slash 2}}\), if \({k \in 2\mathbb{Z}}\)) with respect to \({\Gamma}\), where \({\nu}\) is a unitary character. Let \({\lbrace f_{1},\ldots,f_{j_{k}} \rbrace}\) denote an orthonormal basis of \({S^{k}_{\nu}(\Gamma)}\). In this article, we show that as \({k \rightarrow \infty,}\) the sup-norm for \({\sum_{i=1}^{j_{k}}y^{k}|f_{i}(z)|^{2}}\) is bounded by O(k), where the implied constant is independent of \({\Gamma}\). Furthermore, using results from Berman (Math. Z. 248:325–344, 2004), we extend these results to the case when \({\Gamma}\) is cofinite.  相似文献

We prove that there exists an absolute constant \({\alpha > 1}\) with the following property: if K is a convex body in \({{\mathbb R}^n}\) whose center of mass is at the origin, then a random subset \({X\subset K}\) of cardinality \({{\rm card}(X)=\lceil\alphan\rceil }\) satisfies with probability greater than \({1-e^{-c_1n}}\)
$$K\subseteq c_2n\, {\rm conv}(X),$$
where \({c_1, c_2 > 0}\) are absolute constants. As an application we show that the vertex index of any convex body K in \({{\mathbb R}^n}\) is bounded by \({c_3n^2}\), where \({c_3 > 0}\) is an absolute constant, thus extending an estimate of Bezdek and Litvak for the symmetric case.

We prove that a deformation of a hypersurface in an (n + 1)-dimensional real space form \({{\mathbb S}^{n+1}_{p,1}}\) induces a Hamiltonian variation of the normal congruence in the space \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{n+1}_{p,1})}\) of oriented geodesics. As an application, we show that every Hamiltonian minimal submanifold in \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{n+1})}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb H}^{n+1})}\)) with respect to the (para-)Kähler Einstein structure is locally the normal congruence of a hypersurface \({\Sigma}\) in \({{\mathbb S}^{n+1}}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb H}^{n+1}}\)) that is a critical point of the functional \({{\mathcal W}(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\left(\Pi_{i=1}^n|\epsilon+k_i^2|\right)^{1/2}}\), where ki denote the principal curvatures of \({\Sigma}\) and \({\epsilon \in \{-1, 1\}}\). In addition, for \({n = 2}\), we prove that every Hamiltonian minimal surface in \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb S}^{3})}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb L}({\mathbb H}^{3})}\)), with respect to the (para-)Kähler conformally flat structure, is the normal congruence of a surface in \({{\mathbb S}^{3}}\) (resp. \({{\mathbb H}^{3}}\)) that is a critical point of the functional \({{\mathcal W}\prime(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\sqrt{H^2-K+1}}\) (resp. \({{\mathcal W}\prime(\Sigma) = \int_\Sigma\sqrt{H^2-K-1}}\)), where H and K denote, respectively, the mean and Gaussian curvature of \({\Sigma}\).  相似文献

We show that on every Ramanujan graph \({G}\), the simple random walk exhibits cutoff: when \({G}\) has \({n}\) vertices and degree \({d}\), the total-variation distance of the walk from the uniform distribution at time \({t=\frac{d}{d-2} \log_{d-1} n + s\sqrt{\log n}}\) is asymptotically \({{\mathbb{P}}(Z > c \, s)}\) where \({Z}\) is a standard normal variable and \({c=c(d)}\) is an explicit constant. Furthermore, for all \({1 \leq p \leq \infty}\), \({d}\)-regular Ramanujan graphs minimize the asymptotic \({L^p}\)-mixing time for SRW among all \({d}\)-regular graphs. Our proof also shows that, for every vertex \({x}\) in \({G}\) as above, its distance from \({n-o(n)}\) of the vertices is asymptotically \({\log_{d-1} n}\).  相似文献

The aim of this work is to estimate sums involving P(n), the largest prime factor of an integer \({n \geqq 2}\) under digital constraints \({{f(P(n)) \equiv a}{\rm mod} b}\), for every \({a \in \mathbb{Z}}\) and an integer \({b \geqq 2}\) where f is a strongly q-additive function with integer values (i.e. \({f(aq^j + b) = f(a) + f(b)}\), with \({(a, b, j) \in \mathbb{N}^3}\), \({{0 \leqq b} < q^j}\)). We also estimate the cardinality of the set \({\{{n \leqq x, f(P(n) + c)} \equiv {a {\rm mod} b}, P(n) \equiv l {\rm mod} k\}}\), where \({c \in \mathbb{Z}}\), \({k \geqq 2}\).  相似文献

We prove that the maximal dimension of a p-central subspace of the generic symbol p-algebra of prime degree p is \({p+1}\). We do it by proving the following number theoretic fact: let \({\{s_1,\dots,s_{p+1}\}}\) be \({p+1}\) distinct nonzero elements in the additive group \({G=(\mathbb{Z}/p \mathbb{Z}) \times (\mathbb{Z}/p \mathbb{Z})}\), then every nonzero element \({g \in G}\) can be expressed as \({d_1 s_1+\dots+d_{p+1} s_{p+1}}\) for some non-negative integers \({d_1,\dots,d_{p+1}}\) with \({d_1+\dots+d_{p+1}\leq p-1}\).  相似文献

Let \({\mathbb{N}}\) denote the set of all nonnegative integers. Let \({k \ge 3}\) be an integer and \({A_{0} = \{a_{1}, \dots, a_{t}\} (a_{1} < \cdots < a_{t})}\) be a nonnegative set which does not contain an arithmetic progression of length k. We denote \({A = \{a_{1}, a_{2}, \ldots{}\}}\) defined by the following greedy algorithm: if \({l \ge t}\) and \({a_{1}, \dots{}, a_{l}}\) have already been defined, then \({a_{l+1}}\) is the smallest integer \({a > a_{l}}\) such that \({\{a_{1}, \dots, a_{l}\} \cup \{a\}}\) also does not contain a k-term arithmetic progression. This sequence A is called the Stanley sequence of order k generated by A0. We prove some results about various generalizations of the Stanley sequence.  相似文献

Let \({\{\varphi_n(z)\}_{n\ge0}}\) be a sequence of inner functions satisfying that \({\zeta_n(z):=\varphi_n(z)/\varphi_{n+1}(z)\in H^\infty(z)}\) for every n ≥ 0 and \({\{\varphi_n(z)\}_{n\ge0}}\) have no nonconstant common inner divisors. Associated with it, we have a Rudin type invariant subspace \({\mathcal{M}}\) of \({H^2(\mathbb{D}^2)}\) . We write \({\mathcal{N}= H^2(\mathbb{D}^2)\ominus\mathcal{M}}\) . If \({\{\zeta_n(z)\}_{n\ge0}}\) ia a mutually prime sequence, then we shall prove that \({rank_{\{T^\ast_z,T^\ast_w\}} \mathcal{N}=1}\) and \({rank_{\{\mathcal{F}^\ast_z\}}(\mathcal{M}\ominus w\mathcal{M})=1}\) , where \({\mathcal{F}_z}\) is the fringe operator on \({\mathcal{M}\ominus w\mathcal{M}}\) .  相似文献

Call a set \({A \subseteq \mathbb {R}}\)paradoxical if there are disjoint \({A_0, A_1 \subseteq A}\) such that both \({A_0}\) and \({A_1}\) are equidecomposable with \({A}\) via countabbly many translations. \({X \subseteq \mathbb {R}}\) is hereditarily nonparadoxical if no uncountable subset of \({X}\) is paradoxical. Penconek raised the question if every hereditarily nonparadoxical set \({X \subseteq \mathbb {R}}\) is the union of countably many sets, each omitting nontrivial solutions of \({x - y = z - t}\). Nowik showed that the answer is ‘yes’, as long as \({|X| \leq \aleph_\omega}\). Here we show that consistently there exists a counterexample of cardinality \({\aleph_{\omega+1}}\) and it is also consistent that the continuum is arbitrarily large and Penconek’s statement holds for any \({X}\).  相似文献
