The reactions of the singly deprotonated di-2-pyridylmethanediol ligand (dpmdH(-)) with copper(II) and bismuth(III) have been investigated. A new dinuclear bismuth(III) complex Bi(2)(dpmdH)(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)(THF)(2), 1, has been obtained by the reaction of BiPh(3) with di-2-pyridyl ketone in the presence of HO(2)CCF(3) in tetrahydrofuran (THF). The reaction of Cu(OCH(3))(2) with di-2-pyridyl ketone, H(2)O, and acetic acid in a 1:2:2:2 ratio yielded a mononuclear complex Cu[(2-Py)(2)CO(OH)](2)(HO(2)CCH(3))(2), 2, while the reaction of Cu(OAC)(2)(H(2)O) with di-2-pyridyl ketone and acetic acid in a 2:1:1 ratio yielded a tetranuclear complex Cu(4)[(2-Py)(2)CO(OH)](2)(O(2)CCH(3))(6)(H(2)O)(2), 3. The structures of these complexes were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Three different bonding modes of the dpmdH(-) ligand were observed in compounds 1-3. In 2, the dpmdH(-) ligand functions as a tridentate chelate to the copper center and forms a hydrogen bond between the OH group and the noncoordinating HO(2)CCH(3) molecule. In 1 and 3, the dpmdH(-) ligand functions as a bridging ligand to two metal centers through the oxygen atom. The two pyridyl groups of the dpmdH(-) ligand are bound to one bismuth(III) center in 1, while in 3 they are bound two copper(II) centers, respectively. Compound 3 has an unusual one dimensional hydrogen bonded extended structure. The intramolecular magnetic interaction in 3 has been found to be dominated by ferromagnetism. A new mixed valence copper complex Cu(II)(Me(5)dien)Cl(2)(Cu(I)Cl) (2) was obtained from the reaction of CuCl with Cu(II)(Me(5)dien)Cl(2) (1) in acetonitrile. The structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with a = 8.374(5) ?, b = 17.155(3) ?, c = 23.806(5) ?, beta = 94.40(4) degrees, Z = 8, and V = 3398(1) ?(3) while compound 2 crystallizes in orthorhombic space group Pbcn with a = 14.71(1) ?, b = 16.06(2) ?, c = 13.38(1) ?, Z = 8, and V = 3159(5) ?. The Cu(II)(Me(5)dien)Cl(2) unit in both compounds has a similar distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The Cu(I)Cl moiety in 2 is attached to the Cu(II) unit via two bridging chlorine atoms and has a distorted trigonal planar geometry. UV-vis and EPR spectroscopic studies and molecular orbital calculations established the presence of significant perturbation of the Cu(I)Cl unit to the electronic structure of the Cu(II) ion in compound 2.  相似文献

The nine-membered [-Cu(II)-N-N-](3) ring of trimeric copper-pyrazolato complexes provides a sturdy framework on which water is twice deprotonated in consecutive steps, forming mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O species. In the presence of excess chlorides the mu(3)-O(H) ligand is replaced by two mu(3)-Cl ions. The interconversion of mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O and the exchange of mu(3)-O(H) and mu(3)-Cl are reversible, and the three species involved have been structurally characterized: [PPN][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(thf)].CH(2)Cl(2) (1a), monoclinic P2(1)/n, a = 10.055(2) A, b = 35.428(5) A, c = 15.153(2) A, beta = 93.802(3) degrees, V = 5386(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (1b), triclinic P-1, a = 9.135(2) A, b = 13.631(2) A, c = 14.510(2) A, alpha = 67.393(2) degrees, beta = 87.979(2) degrees, gamma = 80.268(3) degrees, V = 1643.2(4) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-O)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (2), monoclinic P2/c, a = 12.807(2) A, b = 13.093(2) A, c = 23.139(4) A, beta = 105.391(3) degrees, V = 3741(1) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)].0.75H(2)O.0.5CH(2)Cl(2) (3a), triclinic P-1, a = 14.042(2) A, b = 23.978(4) A, c = 25.195(4) A, alpha = 76.796(3) degrees, beta = 79.506(3) degrees, gamma = 77.629(3) degrees, V = 7988(2) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (3b), monoclinic C2/c, a = 17.220(2) A, b = 15.606(2) A, c = 20.133(2) A, beta = 103.057(2) degrees, V = 5270(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Et(3)NH][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(pzH)] (4), triclinic P-1, a = 11.498(2) A, b = 11.499(2) A, c = 12.186(2) A, alpha = 66.475(3) degrees, beta = 64.279(3) degrees, gamma = 80.183(3) degrees, V = 1331.0(5) A(3), Z = 2. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the three copper centers of 2 are strongly antiferromagnetically coupled with J(Cu-Cu) = -500 cm(-1).  相似文献

The copper coordination chemistry of two phthalazine-based ligands of differing steric bulk was investigated. A family of dinuclear complexes were prepared from reactions of [Cu(2)(bdptz)(MeCN)(2)](OTf)(2), 1(OTf)(2), where bdptz = 1,4-bis(2,2'-dipyridylmethyl)phthalazine. Treatment of 1(OTf)(2) with NaO(2)CCH(3) afforded the class I mixed-valent compound [Cu(2)(bdptz)(2)](OTf)(3), 2(OTf)(3), by disproportionation of Cu(I). Compound 2(OTf)(3) displays an electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum, with g( parallel ) = 2.25 (A( parallel ) = 169 G) and g( perpendicular ) = 2.06, and exhibits a reversible redox wave at -452 mV versus Cp(2)Fe(+)/Cp(2)Fe. The complex [Cu(2)(bdptz)(micro-OH)(MeCN)(2)](OTf)(3), 3(OTf)(3), was prepared by chemical oxidation of 1 with AgOTf, and exposure of 1 to dioxygen afforded [Cu(2)(bdptz)(micro-OH)(2)](2)(OTs)(4), 4(OTs)(4), which can also be obtained directly from [Cu(H(2)O)(6)](OTs)(2). In compound [Cu(2)(bdptz)(micro-vpy)](OTf)(2), 5(OTf)(2), where vpy = 2-vinylpyridine, the vpy ligand bridges the two Cu(I) centers by using both its pyridine nitrogen and the olefin as donor functionalities. The sterically hindered compounds [Cu(2)(Ph(4)bdptz)(MeCN)(2)](OTf)(2), 6(OTf)(2), and [Cu(2)(Ph(4)bdptz)(micro-O(2)CCH(3))](OTf), 7(OTf), were also synthesized, where Ph(4)bdptz = 1,4-bis[bis(6-phenyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]phthalazine. Complexes 1-7 were characterized structurally by X-ray crystallography. In 6 and 7, the four phenyl rings form a hydrophobic pocket that houses the acetonitrile and acetate ligands. Complex 6 displays two reversible redox waves with E(1/2) values of +41 and +516 mV versus Cp(2)Fe(+)/Cp(2)Fe. Analysis of oxygenated solutions of 6 by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry reveals probable aromatic hydroxylation of the Ph(4)bdptz ligand. The different chemical and electrochemical behavior of 1 versus 6 highlights the influence of a hydrophobic binding pocket on the stability and reactivity of the dicopper(I) centers.  相似文献

Two new copper 2-pyrazinecarboxylate (2-pzc) coordination polymers incorporating [Mo(8)O(26)](4-) and [V(10)O(28)H(4)](2-) anions were synthesized and structurally characterized: Cu(4)(2-pzc)(4))(H(2)O)(8)(Mo(8)O(26)).2H(2)O (1) and Cu(3)(2-pzc)(4)(H(2)O)(2)(V(10)O(28)H(4)).6.5H(2)O (2). Crystal data: 1, monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 11.1547(5) A, b = 13.4149(6) A, c = 15.9633(7) A, beta = 90.816(1) degrees; 2, triclinic, space group P1, a = 10.5896(10) A, b = 10.7921(10) A, c = 13.5168(13) A, alpha = 104.689(2) degrees, beta = 99.103(2) degrees, gamma = 113.419(2) degrees. Compound 1 contains [Cu(2-pzc)(H(2)O)(2)] chains charge-balanced by [Mo(8)O(26)](4-) anions. In compound 2, layers of [Cu(3)(2-pzc)(4)(H(2)O)(2)] form cavities that are filled with [V(10)O(28)H(4)](2-) anions. The magnetic properties of both compounds are described.  相似文献

The synthesis of a new macrobicyclic cryptand (L) with heteroditopic receptor sites has been achieved in good yields by the [1 + 1] Schiff base condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) with the tripodal trialdehyde, tris{[2-(3-(oxomethyl)phenyl)oxy]ethyl}amine at 5 degrees C temperature. The crystal structure of L (P2(1)/c, a = 10.756 (5) ?, b = 27.407(9) ?, c = 12.000(2) ?, beta = 116.22(3) degrees, Z = 4, R = 0.060, R(w) = 0.058) shows a pseudo-3-fold symmetry axis passing through the two bridgehead nitrogens. This symmetry is maintained in chloroform solution also, as indicated from its (1)H-NMR spectral data. The cryptand readily forms inclusion complexes with the Cu(II) ion at the tren end of the cavity. The tetracoordinated Cu(II) cryptate (1) thus formed with Cu(picrate)(2) exhibits a very small A(II) value (60 x 10(-)(4) cm(-)(1)) in its EPR spectrum and low-energy ligand field bands in its electronic spectrum in MeCN at room temperature. The bound Cu(II) ion readily accepts the anions CN(-), SCN(-), or N(3)(-), forming distorted trigonal bipyramidal complexes (2-4). The crystal structure of [Cu(L)(CN)](picrate) (2) (P2(1)/C, a = 13.099(1) ?, b = 11.847(8) ?, c = 25.844(7) ?, beta = 91.22(1) degrees, Z = 4, R = 0.056, R(w) = 0.054) has been determined. The equatorial coordination is provided by the three secondary amino N atoms of the tren unit in L, while the two axial positions are occupied by the bridgehead N of the tren unit and the C atom of the cyanide group. One of the equatorial Cu-N bond distances is 2.339(6) ?, which is longer than normal values. The crystal structure of [Cu(L)(NCS)](picrate) (3) (C2/c, a = 47.889(10) ?, b = 10.467(5) ?, c = 16.922(2) ?, beta = 93.90(2) degrees, Z = 8, R = 0.054, R(w) = 0.055) shows the coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ion to be very similar to that in the case of 2. The electronic spectral and EPR spectral data obtained on 2-4 are characteristic of trigonal bipyramidal Cu(II) complexes. The three meta-substituted benzene rings present in L makes the donor atom somewhat rigid in nature which enforces a distorted geometry around the Cu(II) ion.  相似文献

The neutral complex [Ru(2)(acac)(4)(bptz)] (I) has been prepared by the reaction of Ru(acac)(2)(CH(3)CN)(2) with bptz (bptz = 3,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine) in acetone. The diruthenium(II,II) complex (I) is green and exhibits an intense metal-ligand charge-transfer band at 700 nm. Complex I is diamagnetic and has been characterized by NMR, optical spectroscopy, IR, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal structure data for I are as follows: triclinic, P1, a = 11.709(2) A, b = 13.487(3) A, c = 15.151(3) A, alpha = 65.701(14) degrees, beta = 70.610(14) degrees, gamma = 75.50(2) degrees, V = 2038.8(6) A(3), Z = 2, R = 0.0610, for 4397 reflections with F(o) > 4sigmaF(o). Complex I shows reversible Ru(2)(II,II)-Ru(2)(II,III) and Ru(2)(II,III)-Ru(2)(III,III) couples at 0.17 and 0.97 V, respectively; the 800 mV separation indicates considerable stabilization of the mixed-valence species (K(com) > 10(13)). The diruthenium(II,III) complex, [Ru(2)(acac)(4)(bptz)](PF(6)) (II) is prepared quantitatively by one-electron oxidation of I with cerium(IV) ammonium nitrate in methanol followed by precipitation with NH(4)PF(6). Complex II is blue and shows an intense MLCT band at 575 nm and a weak band at 1220 nm in CHCl(3), which is assigned as the intervalence CT band. The mixed valence complex is paramagnetic, and an isotropic EPR signal at g = 2.17 is observed at 77 and 4 K. The solvent independence and narrowness of the 1200 nm band show that complex II is a Robin and Day class III mixed-valence complex.  相似文献

Preparations, crystal structures, and spectral and magnetic properties of two new chiral one-dimensional cyano-bridged coordination polymers, [Cu(II)L2]M(II)(CN)].2H2O (M(II) = Ni(II) (1) and Pt(II) (2), L = trans-cyclohexane-(1R,2R)-diamine) have been presented. Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1) space group with a = 9.864(4) A, b = 15.393(8) A, c = 7.995(4) A, beta = 110.32(3) degrees , V = 1138.4(10) A3, and Z = 2, while 2 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1) space group with a = 9.899(3) A, b = 15.541(4) A, c = 8.102(2) A, beta = 111.02(2) degrees , V = 1163.6(5) A3, and Z = 2. The unique zigzag cyano-bridged chains along the crystallographic b axis consist of alternate chiral [CuL(2)]2+ cations and square-planar [M(CN)4]2- anions. One side of the axial Cu-N(triple bond C) bond distances are 2.324(6) and 2.34(1) A with Cu-N[triple bond]C angles of 137.8(6) degrees and 138.2(9) degrees for 1 and 2, respectively. On the other hand, the opposite side of the axial Cu-N(triple bond C) bond distances are 3.120(8) and 3.09(1) A with significantly large bent Cu-N[triple bond]C angles of 97.9(5) degrees and 96.8(7) degrees for 1 and 2, respectively. The novel axial bonding features of extremely long semi-coordination Cu-N bonds are attributed to coexistence of pseudo-Jahn-Teller elongation and electrostatic interaction in the unique zigzag cyano-bridged chains. The characteristic bonding features with overlap between small 3d (Ni(II)) or large 5d (Pt(II)) and 3d (Cu(II)) orbitals results in larger shifts in XPS peaks of not only Cu2p(1/2) and Cu2p(3/2) but also Ni2p(1/2) and Ni2p(3/2) for 1 than those of 2, which is also consistent with weak antiferromagnetic interactions with Weiss constants of -5.31 and -5.94 K for 1 and 2, respectively. The d-d, pi-pi*, and CT bands in the electronic, CD, and MCD spectra for 1 and 2 in the solid state at room temperature are discussed from the viewpoint of magneto-optical properties.  相似文献

Three novel metal polytellurides Rb(4)Hg(5)(Te(2))(2)(Te(3))(2)Te(3) (I), [Zn(en)(3)](4)In(16)(Te(2))(4)(Te(3))Te(22) (II), and K(2)Cu(2)(Te(2))(Te(3)) (III) have been prepared by solvothermal reactions in superheated ethylenediamine at 160 degrees C. Their crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Crystal data for I: space group Pnma, a = 9.803(2) A, b = 9.124(2) A, c = 34.714(7) A, Z = 4. Crystal data for II: space group C2/c, a = 36.814(7) A, b = 16.908(3) A, c = 25.302(5) A, beta = 128.46(3) degrees, Z = 4. Crystal data for III: space group Cmcm, a = 11.386(2) A, b = 7.756(2) A, c = 11.985(2) A, Z = 4. The crystal structure of I consists of 1D infinite ribbons of [Hg(5)(Te(2))(2)(Te(3))(2)Te(3)](4-), which are composed of tetrahedral HgTe(4) and trigonal HgTe(3) units connected through the bridging Te(2-), (Te(2))(2-), and (Te(3))(2-) ligands. II is a layered compound containing InTe(4) tetrahedra that share corners and edges via Te, Te(2), and Te(3) units to form a 2D slab that contains relatively large voids. The [Zn(en)(3)](2+) template cations are filled in these voids and between the slabs. The primary building blocks of III are CuTe(4) tetrahedra that are linked by intralayer (Te(3))(2-) and interlayer (Te(2))(2-) units to form a 3D network with open channels that are occupied by the K(+) cations. All three compounds are rare polytelluride products of solvothermal reactions that contain both Te(2) and Te(3) fragments with unusual metal-tellurium coordination.  相似文献

The copper salt [Cu(H(2)O)(2)(imH)(4)] x Sq has been synthesized at room temperature. Crystal structure of the [Cu(H(2)O)(2)(imH)(4)] x Sq (Sq is squarete dianion (C(4)O(4)(2-)) and imH is imidazole (C(3)H(4)N(2))) complexes has been investigated by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and the environment of copper ion has been identified by EPR. The single crystal is triclinic with the space group P1. The unit cell dimensions of the crystals are a=9.317 Angstrom, b=9.958 Angstrom, c=12.130 Angstrom, alpha=69.99 degrees , beta=76.61 degrees and gamma=78.13 degrees . The unit cell contains two molecules. The Cu(II) atom has an octahedral arrangement in which the Cu(II) ion lies on the inversion canter and is coordinated by four imidazole ligands with the equatorial plane and two water molecules with the octahedral axial. The complex shows a normal magnetic moment and the single crystal EPR spectra consist of two sets of four hyperfine lines of copper. The ground wave function of the hole of the Cu(2+) is an admixture of d(x(2) - y(2)) and d(z(2)) states.  相似文献

Three copper(II)-rhenium(IV) bimetallic complexes of formula [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(phen)(2)] (1), [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(phen)(2)].CH(3)CN (2), and [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(terpy) (H(2)O)][ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(terpy)(CH(3)CN)] (3) (ox = oxalate anion, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, and terpy = 2,2':6,2"- terpyridine) have been synthesized and their crystal structures determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P(-1), with a = 9.776(2), b = 11.744(3), c = 14.183(3) A, alpha =102.09(2) degrees, beta = 109.42(2) degrees, gamma = 107.11(2) degrees, and Z = 2, whereas 2 and 3 crystallize in the monoclinic system, space groups P2(1)/n and P2(1)/c, respectively, with a = 12.837(3), b = 17.761(4), c = 12.914(3) A, beta = 91.32(2) degrees, and Z = 4 for 2, and a = 8.930(2), b = 18.543(4), c = 27.503(6) A, beta = 94.67(2) degrees, and Z = 4 for 3. The structures of 1 and 2 are made up of neutral [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(phen)(2)] bimetallic units. Re(IV) and Cu(II) metal ions exhibit distorted octahedral coordination geometries, being bridged by a bis(bidentate) oxalato ligand. The presence of acetonitrile molecules of crystallization in 2 causes a somewhat greater separation between the bimetallic complexes and a different packing of these units in the crystal structure with respect to 1. The copper-rhenium separation across oxalato is 5.628(2) in 1 and 5.649(3) A in 2. The structure of 3 is made up of two different and neutral bimetallic units, [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(terpy)(H(2)O)] and [ReCl(4)(mu-ox)Cu(terpy)(CH(3)CN)]. In the first one, the oxalate group behaves as a bis(bidentate) ligand occupying one equatorial and one axial position in the elongated octahedral environment of Cu(II). The water molecule is axially coordinated. In the second one, the oxalate group behaves as a bidentate/monodentate ligand occupying the axial position in the square pyramidal environment of Cu(II). The acetonitrile molecule occupies a basal coordination position around the copper atom. These units are arranged in such a way that a chlorine atom of the first unit (Cl(1)) points toward the copper atom (Cu(2))of the second one (3.077(2) A for Cl(1)(.)Cu(2)), forming a tetranuclear species. The copper-rhenium separation across bis(didentate) oxalato is 5.504(3) A, whereas that through bidentate/monodentate oxalato is 5.436(2) A. The magnetic behavior of 2 and 3 has been investigated over the temperature range 1.8-300 K. A very weak and nearly identical antiferromagnetic coupling between Re(IV) and Cu(II) through bis(bidentate) oxalato occurs in 2 (J = -0.90 cm(-1)) and 3 (J = -0.83 cm(-1)); it is ferromagnetic in 3 through both the bidentate-monodentate oxalato (J = +5.60 cm(-1)) and the chloro (J = +0.70 cm(-1)) bridges.  相似文献

A neutral selenium donor ligand, [CpFe(CO)(2)P(Se)(OR)(2)] is used for the construction of Cu(I) and Ag(I) complexes with a well-defined coordination environment. Four clusters [M{CpFe(CO)(2)P(Se)(OR)(2)}(3)](PF(6)), (where M = Cu, R = (n)Pr, ; R = (i)Pr, and M = Ag, R = (n)Pr, ; R = (i)Pr, ) are isolated from the reaction of [M(CH(3)CN)(4)(PF(6))] (where M = Cu or Ag) and [CpFe(CO)(2)P(Se)(OR)(2)] in a molar ratio of 1 : 3 in acetonitrile at 0 degrees C. The reaction of [CpFe(CO)(2)P(Se)(O(i)Pr)(2)] with cuprous halides in acetone produce two mixed-metal, Cu(I)(2)Fe(II)(2) clusters, [Cu(mu-X) {CpFe(CO)(2)P(Se)(O(i)Pr)(2)}](2) (X = Cl, ; Br, ). All six clusters have been fully characterized spectroscopically ((1)H, (13)C, (31)P, and (77)Se NMR, IR), and by elemental analyses. X-Ray crystal structures of and consist of discrete cationic clusters in which three iron-selenophosphito fragments are linked to the central copper or silver atom via selenium atoms. Both clusters and crystallize in the noncentrosymmetric, hexagonal space group P6[combining macron]2c. The coordination geometry around the copper or silver atom is perfect trigonal-planar with Cu-Se and Ag-Se distances, 2.3505(7) and 2.5581(7) A, respectively. X-Ray crystallography also reveals that each copper center in neutral heterometallic clusters and is trigonally coordinated to two halide ions and a selenium atom from the selenophosphito-iron moiety. The structures can also be delineated as a dimeric unit which is generated by an inversion center and has a Cu(2)X(2) parallelogram core. The dihedral angle between the Cu(2)X(2) plane and the plane composed of Cp ring is found to be 24.62 and 84.58 degrees for compound and , respectively. Hence the faces of two opposite Cp rings are oriented almost perpendicular to the Cu(2)X(2) plane in , but are close to be parallel in . This is the first report of the coordination chemistry of the anionic selenophosphito moiety [(RO)(2)PSe](-), the conjugated base of a secondary phosphine selenide, which acts as a bridging ligand with P-coordination on iron and Se-coordination to copper or silver.  相似文献

The first pentanuclear complexes of formula {Dy[Cu(apox)](2)[Cu(apox)(H(2)O)](2)}[ClO(4)](3).7H(2)O (1), {Ho[Cu(apox)][Cu(apox)(H(2)O)](3)}[PF(6)](3).4.5H(2)O (2), {Gd[Cu(apox)](2)[Cu(apox)(H(2)O)](2)}[ClO(4)](3).7H(2)O (3) and {Gd[Cu(apox)][Cu(apox) (H(2)O)](3)}[PF(6)](3).4.5H(2)O (4) (H(2)apox = N,N'-bis(3-aminopropyl)oxamide) have been synthesized. The crystal structures of complexes 1 and 2 have been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. Complexes 3 and 4 are isostructural with 1 and 2, respectively. Crystallographic data are as follows: 1 and 3, monoclinic, space group C2/c and Z = 4, with a = 14.646(6) ?, b = 29.496(7) ?, c = 16.002(7) ?, and beta = 111.76(2) degrees for 1 and a = 14.523(6) ?, b = 29.441(6) ?, c = 15.925(8) ?, and beta = 111.90(4) degrees for 3; 2 and 4, triclinic, P&onemacr;, and Z = 2, with a = 14.346(2) ?, b = 14.454(2) ?, c = 18.107(4) ?, alpha = 90.95(2) degrees, beta = 110.75(2) degrees, and gamma = 106.77(2) degrees for 2 and a = 14.365(6) ?, b = 14.496(5) ?, c = 18.172(7) ?, alpha = 91.27(3) degrees, beta = 110.74(3) degrees, and gamma = 106.67(3) degrees for 4. A tripositive ion is present in these structures, the electroneutrality being achieved by three uncoordinated perchlorate (1) or hexafluorophosphate (2) anions. The lanthanide cations are eight-coordinate with a pseudo-square-antiprismatic environment formed by carbonyl oxygen atoms from two [Cu(apox)] and two Cu(apox)(H(2)O)] (1) and one [Cu(apox)] and three [Cu(apox)(H(2)O)] (2) bidentate ligands. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of complexes 1-4 was investigated in the range 1.8-300 K. The ligand-field effect, as well as the mixing of the free-ion states in Dy(III) and Ho(III), make extremely difficult the analysis of the overall antiferromagnetic interaction which is observed for complexes 1 and 2. The magnetic susceptibility data for complexes 3 and 4 have shown that the ground-state spin for the [Gd(III)Cu(II)(4)] unit is S = 11/2, the Gd(III)-Cu(II) interaction being ferromagnetic with an interaction parameter J(GdCu) = 0.85 cm(-)(1) (the interaction Hamiltonian is of the form H = -JS(A).S(B)). The field dependence of the magnetization at 2 K of 3 and 4 confirms the nature of the ground state and of the Gd(III)-Cu(II) interaction. The influence of the topology and of the type of bridging ligand on the nature and magnitude of the magnetic interaction in the Gd(III)-Cu(II) pair is analyzed and discussed in light of available magnetostructural data.  相似文献

A new copper(II) acetate, [Na(2)Cu(CH(3)COO)(4)(H(2)O)].H(2)O (1), has been crystallized from an aqueous solution containing sodium acetate and copper(II) acetate monohydrate in a 4:1 ratio and the structure determined by X-ray crystallography. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with a = 16.638(3) A, b = 11.781(2) A, c = 15.668(3) A, beta = 90.11(3) degrees, V = 3071.0(11) A(3), and Z = 4. In the asymmetric unit, sodium ions bridge two crystallographically unique square planar [Cu(CH(3)COO)(4)](2-) units to their symmetry-generated neighbors to form corrugated 2D sheets of Na(2)Cu(CH(3)COO)(4), which are held together by H-bonding interactions involving the waters of crystallization. In contrast, the structures of known sodium copper acetates are better described as 3D frameworks. The metal centers are bridged by a number of acetates in novel coordination modes. The square planar Cu(II) geometry generated by oxygen atoms from four different acetates is an unexpected feature given the weak ligand field provided by the acetate ligands.  相似文献

The crystal structure of a novel compound Cu(II)(dNbpy)Br(2) (dNbpy = 4,4'-di(5-nonyl)-2,2'-bipyridine), which is used in the reverse atom transfer radical polymerization, is reported. Cu(II)(dNbpy)Br(2) crystallizes in the triclinic P1 space group with a = 12.5283(11) A, b = 15.0256(14) A, c = 17.7900(16) A, alpha = 90.350(2) degrees, beta = 99.360(2) degrees, gamma = 107.937(2) degrees, and Z = 2. The Cu(II) center in the complex has a distorted square planar geometry and is coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of a single dNbpy ligand (Cu-N = 2.011(7) and 2.022(7) A) and two bromine atoms (Cu-Br = 2.3621(14) and 2.3567(13) A). The similarity of the absorption spectra in the solid state and in solution suggested that the geometry of the complex remained unchanged upon dissolution. In the presence of dNbpy, Cu(II)(dNbpy)Br(2) undergoes Br substitution to form ionic [Cu(II)(dNbpy)(2)Br](+)[Br](-). DeltaH degrees and DeltaS degrees values for this equilibrium were negative and dependent on the polarity of the medium. It was found that, under the typical polymerization conditions (T > or =90 degrees C and the total copper concentration in the range 1.0 x 10(-2)-1.0 x 10(-1) M), Cu(II)Br(2) and 2 equiv of dNbpy will predominantly form the neutral Cu(II)(dNbpy)Br(2) complex. In a polar medium under the same conditions, [Cu(II)(dNbpy)(2)Br](+)[Br](-) is preferred.  相似文献

Self-assembly of the building block [Cu(oxbe)](-) with Mn(II) led to a novel coordination polymer ([Cu(oxbe)]Mn(H(2)O)[Cu(oxbe)(DMF)])n).nDMF.nH(2)O, where H(3)oxbe is a new dissymmetrical ligand N-benzoato-N'-(2-aminoethyl)oxamido and DMF = dimethylformamide. The crystal forms in the triclinic system, space group Ponemacr;, with a = 9.260(4) A, b = 12.833(5) A, c = 15.274(6) A, alpha = 76.18(3) degrees, beta = 82.7(3) degrees, gamma = 82.31(3) degrees, and Z = 2. The crystal structure of the title complex reveals that the two-dimensional bimetallic layers are constructed of Cu(II)Mn(II)Cu(II) chains linked together by carboxylate bridge and hydrogen bonds help to produce a novel three-dimensional channel-like structure. The magnetic susceptibility measurements (5-300 K) were analyzed by means of the Hamiltonian H = -2JS(Mn)(S(Cu1) + S(Cu2)), leading to J = -17.4 cm(-1).  相似文献

A novel chainlike coordination polymer [Cu(II)(2,2'-bipy)(H(2)O)(2)Al(OH)(6)Mo(6)O(18)](n)()(n)()(-), formed from a heteropolyanion [Al(OH)(6)Mo(6)O(18)](3)(-) as a building unit and a copper(II) complex fragment, [Cu(II)(2,2'-bipy)(H(2)O)(2)](2+), as a linker, provides the first example of an extended structure based on an Anderson type of polyanion and a transition metal complex with organic ligand. The intra- and interchain O-H.O hydrogen-bonding interactions are seemingly responsible for the spiral shape of this chain. Crystal data: triclinic space group Ponemacr;, a = 11.2253(18) A, b = 14.5194(17) A, c = 15.2672(10) A, alpha = 112.191(8) degrees, beta = 106.693(9) degrees, gamma = 93.916(13) degrees, and Z = 2.  相似文献

The microwave-mediated self-assembly of [W(V)(CN)(8)](3-) with Cu(II) in the presence of pyrazole ligand resulted in the formation of three novel assemblies: Cu(II)(2)(Hpyr)(5)(H(2)O)[W(V)(CN)(8)](NO(3))·H(2)O (1), {Cu(II)(5)(Hpyr)(18)[W(V)(CN)(8)](4)}·[Cu(II)(Hpyr)(4)(H(2)O)(2)]·9H(2)O (2), and Cu(II)(4)(Hpyr)(10)(H(2)O)[W(V)(CN)(8)](2)(HCOO)(2)·4.5H(2)O (3) (Hpyr =1H-pyrazole). Single-crystal X-ray structure of 1 consists of cyanido-bridged 1-D chains of vertex-sharing squares topology. The structure of 2 reveals 2-D hybrid inorganic layer topology with large coordination spaces occupied by {Cu(Hpyr)(2)(H(2)O)(4)}(2+) ions. Compound 3 contains two types of cyanido-bridged 1-D chains of vertex-sharing squares linked together by formate ions in two directions forming hybrid inorganic-organic 3-D framework (I(1)O(2)). The magnetic measurements for 1-3 reveal a weak ferromagnetic coupling through Cu(II)-NC-W(V) bridges.  相似文献
