Transfer constants for different solvents representing hydrocarbons, halogenated compounds, alcohols, ketones, acids, and esters were determined in the thermal polymerization of ethyl acrylate at 80°C and they are compared with the available data on methyl acrylate and ethyl methacrylate. It was observed from the values of transfer constants that ethyl acrylate radicals are a little more effective than methyl acrylate or ethyl methacrylate in abstracting hydrogen atom from hydrocarbons and alcohols. In acetic and n-butyric acid media, it has been found, by the aid of endgroup analysis, that the derived solvent radicals from transfer reactions are not too efficient to start a new chain.  相似文献

A potential inhibitor of gelation of sickle hemoglobin, 5-bromo-3-benzo[b]thienylalanine, has been synthesized along with several derivatives. Several hydrolytic pathways from the intermediate ethyl 5-bromo-3-benzo[b]thienylformamidomalonate have been examined, and that involving alcoholysis to ethyl N-formyl-5-bromo-3-benzo[b]thienylalanine shown to be superior.  相似文献

The reaction of ethyl aminocrotonates with derivatives of malonic acid is a suitable method for the preparation of ethyl 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-5-carboxylates. Activity of 20 wt.% MO2/Al2O3 catalysts, where M = Mn, Ce and Zr has been studied in cross-ketonization of ethyl esters of aliphatic and aromatic acids in a flow system. Pentan-3-one and tridecan-7-one were formed in ketonization of pure aliphatic esters, ethyl propanoate and ethyl heptanoate. Benzene was obtained instead of diphenylmethanone as the product of ethyl benzoate transformations. Only two ketones, dialkyl and aralkyl, were obtained from the cross-ketonization of a mixture of aliphatic and aromatic esters. The highest yield of 1-phenyl-1-heptanone (70%) from ethyl heptanoate and ethyl benzoate was reached at 698 K in the presence of MnO2/Al2O3 catalyst. Under similar conditions cross-ketonization of a mixture of ethyl propanoate and ethyl benzoate led to 1-phenyl-1-propanone (60% at 673 K).  相似文献

The composition of copolymers formed at 50°C in ethyl acrylate/ styrene/azo-bis-isobutyronitrile/benzene systems of different composition was investigated. The experimental composition data (based on the elementary analysis of copolymers) were evaluated by the η-ζ transformation method. Finite monomer conversions were taken into account. The classical composition equation was found to describe the system under investigation. The reactivity ratios are p 1 = 0.152 ± 0.006; p 2 = 0.787 ± 0.023. The free radical copolymerization of ethyl acrylate and styrene has been investigated in benzene solution at 50°C. Our results on the initiation kinetics were disclosed in our recent publication [1]. Now we are reporting on our studies concerning the composition of ethyl acrylate/styrene copolymers.  相似文献

The alkylation of the ethyl esters of 4-methyl, 4-chloro-, and 4-amino substituted 2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid by ethyl iodide in the system DMF/K2CO3 has been studied. Inclusion compounds of gossypol with a number of acetic acid esters have been obtained and have been identified by derivatography and NMR spectroscopy. An x-ray structural investigation of the structures of crystalline complexes of gossypol with ethyl acetate and butyl acetate has shown that these complexes are isostructural semiclathrates. On the basis of the structures of these two semiclathrates of gossypol, it has been concluded that esters and ketone with chain lengths of from five to seven atoms form inclusion compounds isomorphous with the semiclathrates of ethyl and butyl acetates. If the chain length is shorter or longer than that given, inclusion compounds with a different crystal structure are formed.A. S. Ethyl (diethoxyphosphoryl)thionformate, ethyl (diethoxythiophosphoryl) thionformate, ethyl (diethoxyphosphoryl)thiolformate, and ethyl (diethoxythiophosphoryl)thiolformate have been allowed to react with a variety of in situ generated free radicals. Spin adducts were observed by EPR with the two thionesters but not with thiolesters; even the former compounds, however, exhibited a remarkably lower reactivity than similarly substituted dithioesters.  相似文献

Amylose tributyrate has been prepared and fractionated; the dilute solution behaviour of the polymer has been studied in four solvents, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, carbon tetrachloride and tetrahydrofuran. The Mark-Houwink relations have been established for each solvent and the exponent γ varies between 0·72 and 0·86, for different solvents. Perturbed dimensions have been measured for the polymer dissolved in two solvents and an estimate of the unperturbed dimensions has been made; the latter appear to be solvent dependent. Heterogeneity corrections were applied using data established by gel permeation chromatography measurements. Values of the effective bond length b of between 17 and 19·5 × 10?8 cm and the Kuhn statistical segment Am of 70 to 180 x 10?8 cm, indicate that amylose tributyrate behaves like a moderately stiff coil in good solvents, with a chain stiffness intermediate between the vinyl and cellulosic polymers.  相似文献

The gas-phase elimination of ethyl 3-methylbutanoate and ethyl 3,3-dimethylbutanoate has been studied, in a static system, over the temperature range of 360–420°C and in the pressure range of 71–286 torr. The reactions are homogeneous, unimolecular, and follow a first-order rate law. The temperature dependence of the rate coefficients is given by the following Arrhenius equations: for ethyl 3-methylbutanoate, log k1 (s?1) = (12.70 ± 0.36) – (202.5 ± 4.4) kJ/mol/2.303RT, and for ethyl 3,3-dimethylbutanoate, log k1 (s?1) = (13.04 ± 0.08) – (207.1 ± 1.0) kJ/mol/2.303RT. Alkyl substituents at the acyl carbon of ethyl esters yield very close values in rates. Consequently it is rather difficult to offer some conclusion concerning the effect of these substituents.  相似文献

When equimolar quantities of salicylaldehyde 2 and ethyl 3-amino-2-butenoate 3 or its constituents (ethyl 3-oxobutanoate and ammonia) were refluxed on a steam-bath for 6 hours with a trace of acetic acid, two products, a pentacyclic pyridine dilactone 4 and 3-acetyl coumarin 5 , resulted in 15% and 45% yields, respectively. The structure of 4 was elucidated as 7-methyl[1]benzopyrano[4,3-d][1]benzoxacino[4,3-b]-pyridine-6,16-dione on the basis of its spectral data. The mechanism of its formation has been discussed. The reaction has been extended to three more substituted salicylaldehydes.  相似文献

A new, versatile phosphorylating agent, bis[2-(p-nitrophenyl)ethyl] phosphorochloridate ( 3 ), has been prepared and is used for 3′- and/or 5′-phosphorylations of nucleosides. The resulting bis[2-(p-nitrophenyl)ethyl] phosphotriesters are versatile synthons in oligonucleotide synthesis leading finally to 3′- and/or 5′-terminated monophosphates in excellent yields.  相似文献

Dependence of the rate constant of initiation on the overall concentration and composition of monomer has been investigated in the free radical copolymerization of ethyl acrylate and styrene in bulk and in benzene solution at 50° C. The rate constant of initiation has been determined by the inhibition method using triphenyl-verdazil as the stable free-radical inhibitor. An equation has been derived to calculate the rate constant of initiation in a copolymerization system, where both monomers undergo a pseudounimolecular side reaction with the inhibitor. The rate constant of initiation in the copolymerization mixture is a linear composition of rate constants determined separately in the pure constituents of the system.  相似文献

From a comparison of the U.V. absorption spectra of the copper chelate of 8-oxyquinoline in ethyl alcoholic solution with those of the ligand itself in the same medium and in the presence of 0.l N HClO4 and 0.1N NaOH respectively, a probable structure for the former has been suggested.
