This paper deals with parabolic equation utu+r|∇u|−aepu subject to nonlinear boundary flux ∂u/∂η=equ, where r>1, p,q,a>0. There are two positive sources (the gradient reaction and the boundary flux) and a negative one (the absorption) in the model. It is well known that blow-up or not of solutions depends on which one dominating the model, the positive or negative sources, and furthermore on the absorption coefficient for the balance case of them. The aim of the paper is to study the influence of the reactive gradient term on the asymptotic behavior of solutions. We at first determine the critical blow-up exponent, and then obtain the blow-up rate, the blow-up set as well as the spatial blow-up profile for blow-up solutions in the one-dimensional case. It turns out that the gradient term makes a substantial contribution to the formation of blow-up if and only if r?2, where the critical r=2 is such a balance situation of the two positive sources for which the effects of the gradient reaction and the boundary source are at the same level. In addition, it is observed that the gradient term with r>2 significantly affects the blow-up rate also. In fact, the gained blow-up rates themselves contain the exponent r of the gradient term. Moreover, the blow-up rate may be discontinuous with respect to parameters included in the problem due to convection. As for the influence of gradient perturbations on spatial blow-up profiles, we only need some coefficients related to r for the profile estimates, while the exponent of the profile itself is r-independent. This seems natural for boundary blow-up solutions that the spatial profiles mainly rely on the exponent of the boundary singularity.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the decay and blow-up properties of a viscoelastic wave equation with boundary damping and source terms. We first extend the decay result (for the case of linear damping) obtained by Lu et al. (On a viscoelastic equation with nonlinear boundary damping and source terms: Global existence and decay of the solution, Nonlinear Analysis: Real World Applications 12 (1) (2011), 295-303) to the nonlinear damping case under weaker assumption on the relaxation function g(t). Then, we give an exponential decay result without the relation between g(t) and g(t) for the linear damping case, provided that ‖gL1(0,) is small enough. Finally, we establish two blow-up results: one is for certain solutions with nonpositive initial energy as well as positive initial energy for both the linear and nonlinear damping cases, the other is for certain solutions with arbitrarily positive initial energy for the linear damping case.  相似文献

Let G=(V,E) be a locally finite connected weighted graph, and Δ be the usual graph Laplacian. In this article, we study blow-up problems for the nonlinear parabolic equation ut=Δu + f(u) on G. The blow-up phenomenons for ut=Δu + f(u) are discussed in terms of two cases: (i) an initial condition is given; (ii) a Dirichlet boundary condition is given. We prove that if f satisfies appropriate conditions, then the corresponding solutions will blow up in a finite time.  相似文献

In this Note, we are interested in the possible continuation after the blow-up time Tm of radially symmetric positive classical solutions u of the heat equation with nonlinearity f(u) = up, where p > 1. We say that u blows up completely after Tm if u can not be extended beyond Tm (even in the weak sense). We obtain a complete blow up criterion which relies on the asymptotic behaviour of u around the blow-up singularity x = 0.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the initial-boundary problem of a degenerate parabolic system with nonlinear localized sources. We classify the blow-up solutions into global blow-up cases and single-point blow-up cases according to the values of m,n,pi,qi. Furthermore, we obtain the uniform blow-up profiles of solutions for the global blow-up case. Finally, we give some numerical examples to verify the results. These extend and generalize a recent work of one of the authors [L. Du, Blow-up for a degenerate reaction-diffusion systems with nonlinear localized sources, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 324 (2006) 304-320], which only considered uniform blow-up profiles under the special case p1=p2=0.  相似文献

This article deals with a class of nonlocal and degenerate quasilinear parabolic equation u t = f(u)(Δu + aΩ u(x, t)dx ? u) with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. The local existence of positive classical solutions is proved by using the method of regularization. The global existence of positive solutions and blow-up criteria are also obtained. Furthermore, it is shown that, under certain conditions, the solutions have global blow-up property. When f(s) = s p , 0 < p ≤ 1, the blow-up rate estimates are also obtained.  相似文献

This paper deals with localized parabolic equations , with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions, where x0 is any fixed point in a bounded domain of RN. The optimal classification of non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up phenomena is proposed for all of the nonnegative exponents. Moreover, uniform blow-up profiles are obtained for all kinds of simultaneous blow-up solutions.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up properties of positive solutions to a nonlinear parabolic equation with a localized reaction source and a nonlocal boundary condition. Under certain conditions, the blowup criteria is established. Furthermore, when f(u)=up, 0<p?1, the global blowup behavior is shown, and the blowup rate estimates are also obtained.  相似文献

This paper deals with ut = Δu + um(xt)epv(0,t), vt = Δv + uq(0, t)env(x,t), subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. The complete classification on non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up is obtained by four sufficient and necessary conditions. It is interesting that, in some exponent region, large initial data u0(v0) leads to the blow-up of u(v), and in some betweenness, simultaneous blow-up occurs. For all of the nonnegative exponents, we find that u(v) blows up only at a single point if m > 1(n > 0), while u(v) blows up everywhere for 0 ? m ? 1 (n = 0). Moreover, blow-up rates are considered for both non-simultaneous and simultaneous blow-up solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, the blow-up rate of solutions of semi-linear reaction-diffusion equations with a more complicated source term, which is a product of nonlocal (or localized) source and weight function a(x), is investigated. It is proved that the solutions have global blow-up, and that the rates of blow-up are uniform in all compact subsets of the domain. Furthermore, the blow-up rate of |u(t)| is precisely determined.  相似文献

This paper deals with the blow-up for a system of semilinear r-Laplace heat equations with nonlinear boundary flux. It is shown that, under certain conditions on the nonlinearities and data, blow-up will occur at some finite time, and when blow-up does occur upper and lower bounds for the blow-up time are obtained.  相似文献

The structure of positive boundary blow-up solutions to quasi-linear elliptic problems of the form −Δpu=λf(u), u=∞ on ∂Ω, 1<p<∞, is studied in a bounded smooth domain , for a class of nonlinearities fC1((0,∞)?{z2})∩C0[0,∞) satisfying f(0)=f(z1)=f(z2)=0 with 0<z1<z2, f<0 in (0,z1)∪(z2,∞), f>0 in (z1,z2). Large, small and intermediate solutions are obtained for λ sufficiently large. It is known from Part I (see Structure of boundary blow-up solutions for quasilinear elliptic problems, part (I): large and small solutions, preprint), that the large solution is the unique large solution to the problem. We will see that the small solution is also the unique small solution to the problem while there are infinitely many intermediate solutions. Our results are new even for the case p=2.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors discuss the global existence and blow-up of the solution to an evolution p-Laplace system with nonlinear sources and nonlinear boundary condition. The authors first establish the local existence of solutions, then give a necessary and sufficient condition on the global existence of the positive solution.  相似文献

By constructing different auxiliary functions and using Hopf’s maximum principle, the sufficient conditions for the blow-up and global solutions are presented for nonlinear parabolic equation ut = ∇(a(u)b(x)c(t)∇u) + f(xuqt) with different kinds of boundary conditions. The upper bounds of the “blow-up time” and the “upper estimates” of global solutions are provided. Finally, some examples are presented as the application of the obtained results.  相似文献

A problem for a nonlinear system of electromagnetic equations in the Coulomb calibration with allowance for sources of free-charge currents is considered. The local-in-time solvability in the weak sense of the corresponding initial–boundary value problem is proved by applying the method of a priori estimates in conjunction with the Galerkin method. A modified Levine method is used to prove that, for an arbitrary positive initial energy, under a certain initial condition on the functional \(\Phi (t) = \int\limits_\Omega {|A{|^2}dx} \), where A(x) is a vector potential, the solution of the initial–boundary value problem blows up in finite time. An upper bound for the blow-up time is obtained.  相似文献

We give a complete discussion of the C or analytic regularity of blow-up curves for Cauchy problems or some mixed problems for the Liouville equation in one space dimension. In the case of mixed problems, the regularity results depend on the boundary condition: actually, we show the existence of a sequence of boundary conditions for which the regularity of the blow-up curve is better than in the general case.  相似文献

We discuss blow-up at space infinity of solutions to quasilinear parabolic equations of the form ut?(u)+f(u) with initial data u0L(RN), where ? and f are nonnegative functions satisfying ??0 and . We study nonnegative blow-up solutions whose blow-up times coincide with those of solutions to the O.D.E. v=f(v) with initial data ‖u0L(RN). We prove that such a solution blows up only at space infinity and possesses blow-up directions and that they are completely characterized by behavior of initial data. Moreover, necessary and sufficient conditions on initial data for blow-up at minimal blow-up time are also investigated.  相似文献

This paper considers blow-up solutions for reaction-diffusion equations, complemented by homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is proved that there exist initial data such that one block or two (separated or contiguous) blocks of n components blow up simultaneously while the others remain bounded. As a corollary, a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained such that any blow-up must be the case for at least two components blowing up simultaneously. We also show some other exponent regions, where any blow-up of k(∈{1,2,…,n}) components must be simultaneous. Moreover, the corresponding blow-up rates and sets are discussed. The results extend those in Liu and Li [B.C. Liu, F.J. Li, Non-simultaneous blow-up of n components for nonlinear parabolic systems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 356 (2009) 215-231].  相似文献
